solidus4008 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 My shows all run well B+ to A range but my PPVs bomb. I usually have 2-3 angles for every match but I still get the "fans expected more angles" message.
AfRoMaN36 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 In a 3 hour PPV I get B+ and A's and with a 50% match ratio they will expect more matches than they would during a regular show, but will still expect angles. With my settings I can get away with a little over 1/3 angles. I wouldnt know how to help you as you havent put up your settings.
James Casey Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 It's down to time, rather than ratios. On a three hour PPV for a federation with the following percentages, the time split must be as follows: 10% angles - Between 36 and 0 minutes angles 20% angles - Between 54 and 18 minutes angles 30% angles - Between 72 and 36 minutes angles ... 90% angles - Between 144 and 180 minutes angles 100% angles - Between 162 and 180 minutes angles Hope that helps.

I usually have 2-3 angles for every match but I still get the "fans expected more angles" message.
As others have alluded to, you seem to be operating under a faulty assumption. You seem to think angles matter in terms of SEGMENTS. That's not correct. What matters is the TIME you spend on angles. So if you have an hour long show with an 80% match ratio, you MUST have at least 6 minutes of angles. "Now wait Remi," you're probably saying, "6 isn't 20% of 60". You're right. But as James Casey's post points out, you have 10% worth of leeway. So, with an 90% ratio, you don't HAVE to run any angles at all. With 80%, you have to make sure at least 10% of your show's time is angles. One thing to keep in mind also is that dark time counts. So if you're running an hour-long pay per view with that 80% ratio and you include a couple of matches in the pre-show, your requirement just went from 6 minutes to 8 (60 min main show + 20 min pre-show/10 = 8). But, it also counts in the reverse case as well. If you want, you could very well put your angles in the pre-show and run your main show as all matches.
cyberkitten01 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Wow Remi, you're both insightful and dreamy!
alden Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 i use to have the same problem...i would book eight 2 minute segments thinking that it was more then enough...i was running a 70/30 ratio so i thought that was was 30% of matches....i then learned that it is time not segments.....you could run one long segment and run the rest matches from what i understand..it would most likely bomb but you could still do it and have the segment message not show up.
