Storylines?

I'm looking to start a new diary pretty soon. Problem is, I don't like getting my shows tied down with trying to run all types of angles/matches for storyline requirements, but I still want to keep angles on the show, for the sake of storytelling. Anyone got any ideas? My only option as of right now is to increase my match/angle ratio to 80% so that storylines aren't required.
