Bye1918 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I have a copy on this computer, but I'm going out of town, and would like to take TEW with me. What would I need to do this? How would I do this? Could someone write a little step-by-step guide on how to best accomplish this goal? I go out of town Monday Night, so that'd be the time to get it by. Thanks in Advance.
Jasx12 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 unlicense the game (control panel ---> elicense ----> unlicense) Install TEW on the laptop. Put in the code on the receipt (or you get it when you unlicense) when you run the game, and license it. Voila :)
Bye1918 Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 And this will work again when I come back? Also, my laptop has no internet access. Is this a problem?
AdinX Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 You will have to repeat the process when you get back, but yeah it'll still work. I'm almost certain that the licensing could work if you already purchased it w/o access to the web. If not, you can easily hook your laptop up to a phone line for dial-up. Just put Juno on it or something, I believe that's free, so it's good for occasional usage like licensing TEW.
hurricanendp Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 alternatively, you can do this 1. Unlicense TEW on your PC 2 Install the Full version of TEW on your Laptop. 3. Once prompted to put in your code, click on Generate Offline License Request Form (or something like that, either way, Offline License should be on there) 4. Move the license request document over to your PC 5. Open Internet and go to www.license.net i think it is. 6. Generate your offline license 7. Move the new file across to your laptop 8. Click install offline license (you have to copy the contents of your OL Generated document into the textbox) 9. Click "ok" then you should be ready to play :)
Bye1918 Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 Thank you so much, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'll be doing that when I get home.
