I remember having this issue that really pissed me off (sorry for language) i signed steve corino to a written deal but after a week (if that) of him signing for me he left to join another promotion as either a head booker or owner i cant quite remember which, but the point is I thought the whole point of a written contract was so that nobody could steal your guy away while under written deals ? I mean even for an owners position surely if they are under written deals that should be that ? end of story......seems strange that the rules of a written contract are being circumvented this way......has this happened to anyone else ?

That is, were the numbers in 'days remaining' positive or did it say '-5 days'? You are correct in saying that a worker under a written deal will not be able to leave the promotion to take a more powerful position elsewhere (at least I've never seen it happen). BUT, a worker whose contract has not yet begun, can take a better/more powerful position elsewhere. It doesn't happen too often but it can happen. You're operating under the assumption that the moment the worker signs the written deal, you own them. That's true if the worker was previously unemployed. But if they were employed elsewhere, they have a period of time where they give notice to all of their employers that they're leaving (time the other promotions can use to get titles off them, if need be). That gap is generally large enough for someone to apply for and receive an owner or head booker position.

I dont know I didnt check, but I presume that's it then......he took a better deal during his waiting period, never debuting for me as a result! It's a tough old world! lol oh well, thanks pal! :)
