Download link: http://www.bobinc.net http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2B3NMPBH This download is less than two megabytes, comes in a .zip format, and contains pictures for all of the workers I've added. Just add your own logos, belts and C-Verse pictures, and you're ready to play. This mod uses the April 12, 2007 update to the Cornellverse data. The video game series that started a worldwide arcade boom is now challenging the best data set to date in wrestling simulator history. It's Street Fighter vs. Cornellverse. The biggest and the smallest names in the Street Fighter universe are present and accounted for. If there's any excuse for one of the characters to take part in pro wrestling, they've been included. The Street Fighter mythos have been bumped forward by ten years. This means that the first Street Fighter tournament took place in 1997, not 1987. The big reason for this was to make sure that characters would be old enough to fit into the Street Fighter III storyline, allowing "The New Generation" to go into New Workers, while also keeping the characters from being too old. Going off of official birthdates, Ryu and Ken would be in their mid forties by now, and what's the point of adding a bunch of workers to the game if they'll all be near retirement? Now that it's up on BobInc, no one has an excuse. You've all got to download it. :) This is my first TEW mod. There's already been a few quirks and imperfections I've spotted, so I'll post them here so that you guys can add them yourselves. Sodom should have a Best Friend relation with Rolento Schuberg. He should also have a Strong Friendship relation to Edmond Honda. Maki Genryusai and Guy are in-laws, hence their current Blood Relative relation. If you don't like that, you can change it to Best Friend to simulate their closeness instead. In that event, you might want to delete the Ken Masters/Guile relation, since their only real connection is that they're brothers-in-law. You may want to change Poison's gender to Male. Capcom of Japan and Capcom of America disagreed for awhile as to whether she was born a woman or not, and it's never been outright said that she's post-op. On the other hand, she's passed as a woman for so long (operation or not) that it's iffy whether Hugo knows about her bepenised past, much less the wrestling community as a whole. Naturally, post any errors in the mod to this thread. I'll try and include the fixes in a later release.

I've looked over all the characters, but I'm a tad hesitant to actually start a game, because a lot of their stats seem kinda low. I mean, I know they're martial artists (for the most part) and not wrestlers, but because of their relatively low stats, I really can't justify signing the vast majority of them. Don't get me wrong, because I appreciate what you've done and all the work you've put into this mod, but I'm just saying that (in my opinion) I should want to pick some of the Street Fighter workers (like Ryu or Ken) over an MAW guy (who would be younger and in some cases more talented). I really hope my concern is addressed, because I'd like to do a SF vs. CVerse diary.
I really hope my concern is addressed, because I'd like to do a SF vs. CVerse diary.
I noticed my tendency to underrate workers when I did the mod, but I wanted to release it anyway to see if anyone considered it a problem or not. The "wrestler" characters like Zangief, Haggar and Darun bother me in particular, the more I look at them. Thanks for speaking up on the subject. I wanted to be sure I wasn't the only one who was concerned about this before I started tweaking things.

A new and improved version of the mod will soon be appearing on bobinc.net. I've revamped almost everyone's stats so they'll be more appealing to both players and computer-controlled promotions.

Okay, so I got tired of waiting on a bobinc.net upload. Here's a link to Street Fighter vs. Cornellverse: Championship Edition. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2B3NMPBH The link in the original post has also been updated.

All right, I looked the data over and all the stats are looking good. Not too high, but not too low. Just right. If you do make an update to this though, may I suggest bumping up Ryu and Ken's performance stats and maybe bumping up the Puroresu stat for some of the guys? Not really a big issue at all, but eh, it couldn't hurt.

Sodom in particular I'm still not 100% happy with after simming about six months into the game, but he's good enough for now. Figure he could maybe use an overness boost and another five or ten points in Puroresu. The thing about Ryu is that if I were making a WMMA mod he'd be one of the top five highest rated workers in the whole data, but doing a TEW mod I'm a little iffy on just how good a pro wrestler he'd make. I get the idea that while he'd have the basics down pat, he'd have trouble getting the flow of the match quite right. He's been shown in the past to not be that great with personal expression or people in general, and I've tried to reflect that in the stats. Your mileage may vary, of course, and I'm fine with hearing arguments to the contrary. By the way, what's your opinion on Guile? The idea I had with Guile is that him joining a wrestling promotion should be about as big a deal as when Kurt Angle first joined WWF: he wasn't necessarily a household name, but winning such a prestigious legit competition would still get him at least a midcard starting position in SWF or TCW, with the talent to maybe go further if properly booked.

Hmm, I guess that's understandable for Ryu. I guess I may be kinda biased since he's one of my favorite characters and I tend to use that name on other message boards (and the occasional MMORPG). Though that brings up a thought. Do you think you might eventually port this over to WMMA and do a Street Fighter vs. Whatever-Adam-calls-the-WMMA-Universe? And Guile looks fine, though I'd probably give him a B or B- in Consistancy. Though was Guile winning the second tournament part of the canon?

Do you think you might eventually port this over to WMMA and do a Street Fighter vs. Whatever-Adam-calls-the-WMMA-Universe?
I'm not a hundred percent sure I'll even be getting WMMA. But if I do, I'll definitely end up putting work into a mod like this.
And Guile looks fine, though I'd probably give him a B or B- in Consistancy. Though was Guile winning the second tournament part of the canon?
Capcom has never officially stated who won the second Street Fighter tournament, but Guile is the only one whose ending really depends on him defeating Bison. It might have been Chun Li instead of Guile, but in Street Fighter III she's referred to as the woman who brought down "that organization" (Shadaloo), not the woman who brought down Bison in particular. It's simple enough for Guile to have defeated Bison and Chun Li, the cop, to bring down Shadaloo.

Hoo, boy. Not content to leave well enough alone, my further research into the Capcom library of games has led me to some pretty sickening conclusions: Despite my original belief that the thing was done, I'm really about half done. Look for Super Street Fighter vs. Cornellverse: The New Challengers updates in this thread in the coming days. A total of eighty-three new characters are going to be included in the game, coming from Saturday Night Slam Masters, Rival Schools, Final Fight 2, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, and the Street Fighter EX series. A few of these will be New Workers, but the majority will be available from the start of the game. The number of user characters is also going to be doubled. Eight new characters from various Capcom series are going to be included. Look for more information on which ones in the coming days. On top of all this, there's going to be a few more goodies and even more tweaking of the existing workers. It's an irritating and very rewarding time for me to be a Capcom fan, and I hope to spread the joy to the rest of you... however many of you are still keeping up with this mod. If you've got questions, comments or suggestions, drop me a line via PM or this thread. Or just post if you'd like to say that you're playing. It'd be nice to find out someone is actually downloading the stuff I'm working on. :)

Between today and yesterday, close to a hundred pictures have been cut for characters both new and old. I've gone through and re-examined the stats of nearly all of the characters from the earlier releases, tweaked a bunch of stuff (like having a more even split between Brawl- and Puroresu-style martial artists), given proper finishers to pretty much everyone who had a proper finisher to give, and a couple of additions to the Dojo and Dojo Graduates sections. Tomorrow I should be able to get to work on the new characters. A lot of the new guys and girls should add some depth to the data, particularly the Japanese indy scene and womens divisions worldwide.

The Saturday Night Slam Masters guys (and girl) have been added to the mod. A little over eighty characters are still waiting to be added. To get pictures, I've actually gotten onto a subscription website for fighting games (http://www.fightersgeneration, if anyone's interested). I have now actually paid money to see this mod get completed, and by the time it's done I may have put a few dears and a couple pints of blood into it too. I'm adding a ton of pictures to the game, and it's looking like there's a good chance the final picture pack will be three hundred or more files. A lot of the characters now have alternate pictures, and there's some really great ones I'll probably post later to whet your appetites. That whole "whet your appetites" thing assumes that there are actually people still reading this thread, though, which is kind of a stretch. I'm also including a lot of concept artwork and early sketches of characters that can be used for randomly generated workers. Included are some of Vega's handmaidens, a Las Vegas showgirl from Balrog's stage, a few sumo wrestlers, and some funky Alpha series concept art for Ken.
