HughBatey4 Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 One of my gym buddies bought a supplement called ProSource AndroTest and his progress in the gym after that was AMAZING. His bench max went up 30-pounds and he has gained 12 pounds in two weeks. He told me that Shawn Michaels had used it before and that Kevin Nash endorses it. My question, has anyone on the boards taken it before or know anything about it? I don't want to put something in my body that I know nothing about it.
berrysi Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Yeah do what GDE71 said and read reviews about it on net, bound to be plenty of feedback/info from users and the places that sell it.
masterded Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Why would a 17 year old need higher testosterone levels? I am not going to claim to be an expert, but I am fairly confident that a 17 year-old shouldn’t be taking any product that may double their testosterone level.
weirdo_man Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Yeah I was reading up on it, it just basically supercharges you and allows you, through raising your testosterone, to have much better workouts thanks to high energy levels. Basically, it naturally causes the effect that injecting testosterone (steroids) into you does. I couldn't find anything reading earlier about negative side effects. Just the things that occur from increased testosterone. More sexual drive (only bad if you're single) and possbly increased levels of agitation. Who knows though cause there might be long term effects that haven't been studied.
HughBatey4 Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 You can't judge hormone levels just by age, some people hit puberty sooner than others (which increases testosterone) and some people get past puberty sooner (which decreases testosterone). As I've read on the internet and in fitness magazines, testosterone equals success in the gym, along with hard work. My energy in the gym has been weak lately, which is crazy because of my diet that I'm following should prevent that from happening. My buddy gave AndroTest a try and his progress in the gym jumped significantly, so with my recent performances, I chose to look into some kind of supplement to do just that, supplement my workout regimen. I tried to research it but all I found was stuff about the positives and no negatives, that's why I came to the forum to see if anybody here had used it or knew more about it. I talked to my buddy earlier about it and he said that the only problems he had with it was that he couldn't eat or drink dairy while he was on it. He said if he did that he would get really sick to the point of vomiting. That was the only bad side effect he spoke of.
djthefunkchris Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 That "side-effect" doesn't sound good for the age group though. I would look into some herbal means of supplementing (that doesn't make your dairy intake bad). But who knows, it might not do that to you? I would definately keep looking though, I wouldn't be in a hurry to "Mass Up", not in your teens. Men ussually keep getting stronger till around 30 or 40 years old, naturally. Ever heard the phrase "Woman mature faster?" It's true, in a way. They grow up faster then men do, we keep growing well into our 20's. There's a reason why the younger guys look so skinny and small, compared to the guys over 25, and it's not because we all start taking drugs to mass up.. There are always exceptions though. If your done growing (Which I highly doubt), and think this is a necessity, then go ahead. However, I don't know what your normal diet consists of, but MEAT will give you energy.
