aznironman Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Adam, do you have a tool or can you create one that will remove all the worker loyalties (i.e. worker loyal to PGHW). Even if you turn off the area loyal, the loyalties are still promotion specific for workers. I have been going back and removing the loyalties for a scenario I was creating, and I was wondering, with the new data released, could you release a tool that could remove the loyalties or release a version of the Cornellverse that does not have the loyalties to promotions? Thanks.
hurricanendp Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 just delete all the promotions in the promotion folder (after copying the promotions file into a backup database of course) then import them back into the game, i think that will remove all their loyalties, it will however, also remove all their contracts mind.
Adam Ryland Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 For what purpose? Turning off the area's loyalty would have the same effect...?
shamelessposer Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007
For what purpose? I thought turning off loyalty just meant that no new loyalties were generated. I'm not trying to argue, since obviously you're the dude who made the game and all, but it's the impression I've always gotten and I could swear I've seen it in action.
mystic Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 existing loyalties are still in place even with area's loyalty turned off. I had eddie peak and mitch naess both turn down offers from other companies giving that excuse
Midnightnick Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 That's in part to loyalty to the Owner mystic. Not the same as Promotion loyalty.
Remianen Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007
existing loyalties are still in place even with area's loyalty turned off. I had eddie peak and mitch naess both turn down offers from other companies giving that excuse
As nick said, that's not due to promotion loyalty. Peak and Mitch are loyal to Phil Vibert. The original post is asking for a tool of some kind to wipe out promotion loyalty, I believe. But Adam, turning loyalty off doesn't fix the issue the OP's talking about. Remember, worker loyalty to promotions is done in the individual worker's profile and supercedes whether the feature is on or off at the DB level. So if he wanted to run a Cornellverse game with no promotional loyalty, he'd have to go through each worker's profile and remove 'Loyal to:' if it exists. I just tested it out and he's right. Turning off loyalty from the database level and starting a new game still has folks like Yoshimi, Shuji, Mito Miwa, Sensational Ogiwara, Thunder Hike, Otsune Tsumura, Kiko Sakakibara, The Awesome Kiyaru, etc loyal to their promotions.
Adam Ryland Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I misread his post. In answer to the initial question, no there isn't a tool available for it. You can send me your worker.tw7 file to remove the loyalties if you really want, but to be blunt, in the time it'd take me to do it and send it back, it'd probably be quicker just to set the editor to show only people employed by BHOTWG, go through each worker, then go to PGHW, and so forth.
aznironman Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 That's cool. I was just seeing you had a tool. Maybe you could make this an option of some kind in the future, or at least add a feature to sort workers with loyalty to a promotion. Thanks Adam and keep up the good work. :)

I got Eddie Peak easily, he took my first offer. Of course I offered him lots of money, travel expenses, merchandise revenue, and a main event spot in tcw.
