EdgeHeaD Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 As someone who played EWR for a good few years and then to buy TEW, I was wondering, in TEW2007 how do people improve in development? Is it the same as EWR or what? Thanks to anyone that can help!
James Casey Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 The workers improve by being in matches while in development. Therefore, you either need to only have a few workers in development at once (as too many workers in a league mean that their matches will be limited) or have several development territories to spread your workers around. While workers can learn from facing one another, they'll learn more from facing experienced pros, so look for potential development territories that allow your trainees the chance to work against a Jerry Lawler, Steve Corino or similar. I'm not certain about this, it's just logical, but I believe that a fed's style can affect how your worker progresses. Send a worker with weak interview skills to an SE fed, for example. Send a worker you want to improve technically to a Traditional fed. Send Heidenreich to Japan. That sort of thing. The biggest change you're likely to notice from EWR is that change is gradual. A worker might work fifty shows a year and not improve more than 1 or 2 percent in any given skill, whereas in EWR skills would jump by 0-3 percent a month. There are no guarantees in TEW - you're probably better off bringing a developmental talent into your main show and have him work dark matches against Tommy Cornell or Shawn Michaels for a year, although obviously that has limited widescale potential...
AdinX Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Or you could put them in dark matches, as they won't affect the show's rating. Although, be careful, you don't wanna kill your crowd! I use this method when I onlpy have 1 or 2 workers I want to develop.
