Creating a School

The idea of running an MMA sounds fun, but I would really like the ability to create a "fighting school" and train and enter my fighters into the universe to see how they do. Are there plans for any support for this style of play, or might this be an expansion or future game you would consider doing?

It sounds like a separate game rather than something that would fit into WMMA, but it wouldn't be something I'd consider doing - it sounds too limited to do a full simulator around. Sorry.

What about having a training camp as part of your promotion? Alot of local based companies do this. In Halifax Nova Scotia, Extreme Cage Combat is run by Titans MMA, and frequently has a large number of their fighters on each card.

Like I said in another post, I think Training Schools should be a part of the game, to effect the fighters in the org as far as how they progress..... maybe just something in the background that we cant control you know, but its like in Pro Wrestling you have a batch of guys out of the Stu Hart "dungeon" or what have you, guys from memphis, tampa, whatever that have a certain style or training method or set of skills... That should be part of the fighter's bio info as well, what school he is representing.... i think it comes from martial arts you know like if you watch a kung fu movie they are representing their school. Also, very very very often fighters will not fight members of their same training camp. For instance Tito will not fight Rampage, Shogun will not fight Wanderlei Silva, MFS guys dont fight eachother, etc. You also have great rivalries between camps... ie Chute Boxe and Brazilian Top Team feuding, maybe u get a better card because guys step up when they fight rival camps.

In a freeware game called 5gws you could own your own "training school" and even own a "feeder league" promotion. You could invest in the different schools and league and you had some influence in what went on there. That game was a wrestling one with loads of bugs however. Also you could not actually be the training camp only. You could only own one.

thats nice to bring up a feeder league... like UFC now owns WEC which is sort of a feeder league for UFC.
