WWE: Time To Play The Game...for now...

Recommended Posts

Vince McMahon has noticed that I, his son-in-law Paul Levesque, has been getting restless, just being sat on the side-line. He made the decision to make me the Head Booker of WWE, but has told me that this is only a temporary thing; that once I can actively compete again, control would be passed to a new individual. I've made the promise to try to remain impartial in my bookings, and I play on sticking to my word. True, I'm planning to give Shawn a huge push, but that's about as far as I'll go! Mr McMahon asked me what I've got planned for his company, in the few months I'll have full control. To be honest, I'm not looking at signing a load of indy "workers" who couldn't really perform to our standards even with the best training. My mark will be left using only the resources available to me. I've told him my big idea; we're gonna unify the two World Titles (John's WWE Title and Mark's (The Undertaker's) World Heavyweight Title. That's right...The Game is gonna leave his mark, as I plan to introduce the World Wrestling Entertainment Ultimate Wrestling Championship!

OOC: I will be booking Raw tomorrow, and probably have it up by tomorrow night. I won't be able to have pics and stuff in my posts because I don't know how. If anyone does, PM me and let me know please. EDIT: Raw will be up tomorrow night, as I'm gonna try and do this in real time (with Raw on Monday, ECW Tuesday and Smackdown booked on Wednesdays (to make it easier for me), but results typed up for Fridays). And thanks to Keefmoon, who's let me know how to put pics etc into my posts.

Hey! I'll be keeping an eye on this diary to see how it turns out! Don't worry about having pictures or anything like that. The best dynasties i find, are ones that tell a good story and have nice presentation. Whether you use bullet points for matches, do play by play commentary or whatever, is up to you, but just make sure you can grab the readers attention, and make them actually visualise everything that happens in your diary!

Thanks for the response. I'm going to book Raw now, so it should be up within the hour I think. Glad to know someone's reading, if anyone wants to try and get some predictions in before Raw, you've got around 45 mins to have a guess.

Monday Night Raw In front of a crowd of 10,000 at the Mellon Arena JR: Hello everybody and welcome to Monday Night Raw. Boy, have we got a- “No chance!” JR: Well, it looks like the shows already underway! Here comes the chairman of the WWE, Mr McMahon! King, I wonder what’s in that bag he’s carrying! Jerry Lawler: If you’d been paying attention to WWE.COM this week JR, you’d have known that Vince was going to be making a huge announcement tonight. I personally can’t wait to hear what he has to say! Vince: Shut up! *crowd boos* I’m Vincent Kennedy McMahon, dammit, and I deserve respect! Thank you. Now, I’m going to kick off Raw tonight with an announcement that will shake the very foundations of not only this company but the entire Sports Entertainment world! Let me show you all something…*pulls a new title belt out of the black bag* the WWE Ultimate Wrestling Championship! I, Mr McMahon, am making history tonight. The introduction of this belt will change the landscape of our business! I am planning to unify the two World Titles! That’s right; no longer will John Cena’s WWE Title be exclusive to Raw. No longer will the World Heavyweight Title currently held by The Undertaker be defended solely on Smackdown! No…we will have an Ultimate Wrestling Champion. I’m guessing you all wanna know some more? *crowd pops* JR: Well, I sure do… Vince: You’re going to have to wait! This Friday night on Smackdown I will give you the rest of the details. Let me tell you…each and every one of you…you’re witnessing history right now. And it’s all my doing. Me. Vincent Kennedy McMahon…the almighty ruler of Sports Entertainment! Rating: B+ Vince stays in the ring, and the next match is introduced. It’s the Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship: vs. vs. (C) The match consisted mostly of the two McMahon’s beating down and double-teaming Marella, who only got one burst of offence in the match, the highlight of which was a Double DDT followed by a Knee-drop/Splash combo. Despite the Triple Threat rules, Shane and Vince worked together, from bell to bell. With the referee distracted by Shane, Mr McMahon hit Marella with a low blow, which was followed by a Diving Elbow by Shane, leading to the cover. The winner at 9:36 and new Intercontinental Champion Shane McMahon! Rating: C+ The camera cuts to the backstage area, where we see Todd Grisham: Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time…the Rated R Superstar Edge! Now, Edge…tonight you’re going to face the current WWE Champion John Cena. What are your thoughts? Edge: My thoughts…my thoughts…I’ll tell you, Todd. I think it’s an injustice that Cena’s champion! He’s not done a damn thing to deserve it. Now, I’m sure he really is from “the hood” and really is “one of the fans”…yeah, I’m sure of it! He’s a real genuine guy. Great role model for the kids watching: “Hey, I’m a wanna-be-gangsta who thinks it’s cool to hit people with brass knuckles and chains!” Yeah, I’m sure you all want your kids watching a show with him as champ! Grisham: But Edge, don’t you claim to be Rated R? How is that sending a good message, promoting sex, drugs and violence? Edge: I didn’t ask your opinion, Todd! Tonight I face John Cena, in a non-title match. Let me forward wind to the end of the show…I’m standing over John Cena, having just pinned him 1-2-3! Then…let’s forward wind to the end of the month, in fact, at the end of John Cena’s match at the Royal Rumble…I’m standing tall again, your new WWE Champion! Rating: B We go straight back to the ring, where Lillian Garcia introduces the next match: vs. This is a fairly back-and-forth match, and the crowd seem pleased to see Val back on Raw. It was a decent match, with the only real point of interest being Charlie Haas trying to distract Venis, which lead to a quick roll-up by Shelton, but Venis kicked out at 2. The match ended just over 6 minutes in, when Val hit the Money Shot for the pinfall. Winner at 6:34 Val Venis Rating: C+ Shawn Michaels’ music hits and the crowd go nuts! JR: Bah God King! It’s the Heart Break Kid! Shawn Michaels is here! Jerry Lawler: Well, what were you expecting? He is a Raw superstar scheduled to compete tonight… JR (clearly a little confused at Lawler’s reaction): He is a future Hall of Famer King, who wouldn’t be glad to see him?! Shawn meanwhile gets a mic and starts to talk. HBK: Tonight…it’s gonna be tough. I’ve won my fair share of matches, including matches against some of the best in the business. But tonight’s gonna be a bit harder. I’m not facing a great man, or even a legendary superstar. No, no, no. I’ve got to go up against…a monster. It’s Shawn Michaels versus…Umaga. I’ll admit I’m a little concerned. Who wouldn’t be?! But, whoever I’m against…I’m still HBK! And tonight I’ve got something my opponent doesn’t…experience and brains! I may not be able to out-fight Umaga, but I sure as hell can out-smart or even out-wrestle him! I promise all of you…and you, Umaga…I’m going to emerge victorious! And if you’re not down with that…I’ve got two words for ya! Crowd: Suck it! Rating: A Suddenly, Umaga appears behind HBK, having just jumped over the crowd barrier. Estrada is outside the ring, egging him on. Shawn turns right into a Samoan Spike and the Samoan Bulldozer just keeps attacking him. Eventually he slips out of the ring. JR: Thank God that’s over King! What a despicable excuse for a human- Umaga enters the ring again, with a steel chair! He places it on Shawn’s back, and gets to the top rope. Jerry Lawler: Good God! What a vicious splash by Umaga! Right onto the steel chair into the back of HBK! That doesn’t bode well for Shawn’s chances in their match later on JR! Rating: A The next match is the Triple Threat Tag Match for the World Tag Team Titles: & vs. & vs. & The match isn’t all that great and Lance Cade didn’t really perform to the expected standards. It was more of a filler match than anything else, but at least it wasn’t too bad that fans completely lost interest. The ending came when JTG clotheslined himself, Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade over the top rope. Taking advantage, Matt hit the Shad with a Twist of Fate, getting the pin and retaining the titles! Winners at 11:51 and still World Tag Team Champions The Hardys! Rating: C- We cut backstage, where Mickie James is getting ready to compete. Suddenly, she is attacked by The Great Khali. He hits her with a huge boot to the face and is about to throw her into a wall when... Mick Foley hit him in the back with a chair. A couple of shots later and Khali is leaning against the wall, so Mick and Mickie make their quick escape. Rating: C John Cena comes to the ring to a mixed reaction. JR: Here comes the most controversial champ in WWE history! I wonder what he’s got to say concerning Vince’s huge announcement at the start of tonight’s show! Cena: Well, well, well. Despite everything that I’ve been through as champ…I’ve got one more hurdle. I’ve beaten giants…cheaters…monsters…everyone. I never back down. Anything that Vince, Bischoff or anyone else has thrown in my path, I’ve walked out your WWE champion! But, for some reason or another, Mr. McMahon has decided to unify MY title with The Undertaker’s. Well, Vince…you want your Ultimate Wrestling Champion…I’m right here, bro! And I’m gonna be at Smackdown this Friday, cos just like everyone else, I wanna know the deal. See you Friday. Rating: B+ The next match is Umaga vs. Shawn Michaels vs. The match was exceptional. Shawn really sold his back injury well, but still managed to get a decent amount of offence in. The ending of the match got the crowd really excited. Firstly, HBK managed to pull off a Manhattan Drop on the Samoan Bulldozer. He followed this with two Sweet Chin Musics, but Umaga kicked out! Two minutes later, Umaga hit a Samoan Drop and then a Samoan Spike, picking up a huge win! Winner at 13:41 Umaga! Rating: A JR: What a match! A real slobberknocker! HBK was not at 100% for the match, but he gave it his all! It makes you wonder, King…if Michaels’ hadn’t been attacked by Umaga earlier tonight, what sort of match would we have seen? Jerry Lawler: All I do know, JR, is that it would’ve had a very different outcome! We cut backstage once again to a door with “Raw GM” on it. The crowd pop, clearly in anticipation of seeing who the GM is! Randy Orton knocks on the door. ???: Come in! Orton: So…you’re the new GM! Eric Bischoff: Yes I am. Vince needed someone quick, because he’s got his hands full with the Ultimate Wrestling Championship. So, he gave me a call. Now, what can I do for you? Orton: I should be in a match tonight, dammit! I’m a third generation superstar…I’m the Legend Killer…I was the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history! And you think it’s ok to leave me off the card! It’s not on, Eric, and I’m going to do ALL I can to ensure that you don’t have this job for long. Rating: B It’s now time for the main event! The crowd gives Edge a fairly big pop, with Cena typically generating a mixed reaction. vs. The match itself was great, with a load of real back-and-forth action. Cena actually got a pretty big pop, when he hit a Sidewalk Slam from the top rope! That only managed to get a two-count. Edge nearly won the match 5 minutes later, but the champ dodged a Spear, which lead to Edge going head-first into the turnbuckle! As he staggered back, Cena turned him around and hit a quick F-U, and pinned him for the win! The winner at 11:33 WWE Champion John Cena Rating: B+ The show goes off the air with the image of Cena standing over a fallen Edge! Final Rating: B+ OOC: Well, there we go, the first show. Feedback would be hugely appreciated.

Eh, I liked the concept of re-uniting the titles, but the 'Ultimate Wrestling Championship' leaves a little to be desired, especially when the Undisputed title could have been resurrected seeing as it served the same function. Wasn't to keen initially on jobbing the title off Marella so quickly either with no real build up. I guess it just depends on what your plans are with that, so I'll wait and see. Val going over Shelton was interesting... potential tag feud there if Val finds a partner or maybe this is the start of a long overdue singles push for Venis? The midsection of the show was all fairly solid, although I didn't quite get why Khali would seek out Mickie James just to kick her in the head... although it did play in Mick Foley. Also I love Easy E, so I'm glad to see him back in the GM role, although I don't get why the crowd were waiting to see who the new GM was.... seeing as I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the preview or any point prior in the show that one was being named. Did I miss something? Anyway, fairly understated return, but Bisch has been here before so he didn't necessarily need a huge comeback angle. Orton/Bisch heat... interesting to see what happens with that. Apart from that, Cena/Edge and Umage/HBK were two hot contests to hold the show together and overall it was a decent starting event with some storyline hooks to make me want to check out Smackdown.

I'll try and address all your points: 1) For the title, I'm not too great with thinking up championship names, and to be honest the reason I've not gone with the rebirth of the Undisputed Title is to make it seem more special once we have a champion (I'm not going to go into details, don't want to give anything else away). 2) Marella isn't nearly over enough to hold the title, and I wouldn't expect you to see him in the diary for a while, at least not in a big role. 3) Val...well, you'll have to wait and see how that pans out...;) 4) Glad you thought it was solid, and I needed to get Khali and Foley in the show somehow, and I didn't have any other plans for Mickie. 5) Didn't miss anything, just my carelessness. Basically the way I figured it was that the fans would see Raw GM on the door and click that a new GM had been appointed. I'm glad someone didn't get that actually, now I know what I need to work on. Glad the Orton/Bisch bit interested you 6) Good to see someone enjoyed the show; honestly it was just that- a starting event, with the sole purpose of getting the main feuds kicked off. Smackdown will be booked today, but not put up til Friday. So, if anyone wants to post predictions (the current preview is in the 4th post) or offer feedback on the show, please do. It's what motivates me to actually do diaries.

It has been rumoured that Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, after gaining control of WWE until he is physically able to compete again, is trying to completely seperate ECW from the other two brands. We are told by an inside source that he does not want ECW publicised on the other brands, and barely on WWE.COM. It is unclear at this moment in time whether this is to return it to its underground, cult-like roots, or whether Levesque simply doesn't like the brand. We're guessing the latter. Raw has been getting some good reports after this week's show; the general opinion is that the Umaga/Michaels and the Cena/Edge matches were brilliant and really gave the show a boost. Many were shocked that, given Triple H's complete control over the entire company for now, HBK put Umaga over. However, he was attacked before hand, and still got a lot of offence in, so he didn't come out of it looking too weak. It's been reported that, due to Mr McMahon's current storyline, he doesn't have time to wrestle at all at the moment, so the ECW World Title was vacated and won last night. We'll have more on that later today. In other news: Vampiro began his first reign as PWU Heavyweight Champion, beating Devon Moore on Monday night. Jeff Jarret was injured during his match with (Doug) Basham. He is out for just over 2 months, with a spinal disalignment.

So, here we are, the day of my first booking of Smackdown. Reports are that Raw was amazing, and I'm not surprised. Vince has set me a few goals, all within my reach. The first is that I can't be in debt in two years time. Seems easy enough. The other two goals are more blocks on who I can and can't sign. Basically, the wrestlers I sign have to be well-trained before I sign them, and can't be injury prone. Honestly, the goals don't bother me. I'm not going to be in charge for long, and I don't plan on making many- if any- signings. Just looks like the guy unfortunate enough to carry on once I return is gonna have a tough time.

Here are the brief results from last night’s ECW show, held in front of 8,572 at the Hara Arena: First, Paul Heyman came out as the returning “GM” of ECW (there was no on-screen explanation for this and I can’t figure out why…). Instead of giving him a big speech to make his return memorable, Paul E simply told the fans that tonight they would see John Cena and The Undertaker teaming up against CM Punk, Gene Snitsky and Kevin Thorn. Marcus Cor Von defeated Sabu in 3:43 by pinfall with The Pounce. This match wasn’t great, and the fans weren’t into it at all. Elijah Burke cut a fairly short promo, simply saying that he was going to beat Rob Van Dam in the main event for the new WWE Xtreme Championship (Triple H really showing what little respect he has for ECW by replacing its original ECW World Title with a WWE imitation). He said tonight is the start of the New Breed Era. Bobby Lashley defeated Shane McMahon in 7:47 by disqualification, when Shane laid him out with his newly-won Intercontinental Title. This match showed that ECW is not seen as important; there was no real purpose to this match, and that matched the poor quality (which wasn't surpising, considering one of the two is very green and not that great in the ring, and the other isn't even a full-time wrestler). After the match, Shane continued the assault, until Lashley fought back, which sent Shane running. Next, Cena and The Undertaker hyped up their handicap match. The promo itself was brilliant; both were really on form…I wish I could say the same for the match. Cena and ‘Taker looked good, but Ariel was poor at ringside. The three opponents really dragged the champions down from what should have been a good match to one that was just about average. The main event was slightly better, mainly because it contained RVD and a ladder. Triple H is really crapping all over the ECW brand, as Elijah Burke retrieved the WWE Xtreme Title and won the match just over 5 minutes in. Overall, the show wasn’t great, and probably hurt WWE’s popularity. We would also like to apologise about a mistake made in our last wrestling report. Before that was published, the rumour was that Triple H was completely against the ECW brand being publicised. Although the show wasn't well-booked, three champions from Raw and Smackdown appeared on the show. In other news, Steve Corino became the owner and head booker for Wrestle Zone Wrestling (wZw) this morning.

It's been a busy day in the WWE, and new head booker Triple H is sure to have a sleepless night tonight. It's been reported that at tonight's Smackdown tapings a big star was injured during his match. He has not been named yet, and it's not yet known what or how serious the injury is, but we do know that he is a huge draw for the company and if he requires surgery (this may not be necessary, as the details on his injury are not available yet- it could be anything from a broken neck to a sprained wrist) it would be a massive blow that WWE may find hard to work around. We will have all the details by tomorrow, so keep checking back for more on this huge news.

We now know that it was The Undertaker who was injured at last night's Smackdown taping. The injury is not too serious, and was sustained during his non-title match with Ken Kennedy. Ken Kennedy executed a "snake eyes" to mock the Dead Man, but dropped him too far, sending him forehead-first into the steel part of the turnbuckle. The Undertaker's head is bruised, but it is something he can and will work through. OOC: I'm actually going away on Saturday for a week (nowhere exotic, just the lake district- not that anyone needs or wants to know:p ), so tomorrow will be the last update until I get back. I won't have the internet or my laptop when I'm away, so I can't book the shows on TEW either. Basically, once I get back on the Saturday the dynasty will just continue from where it left off. Thanks for those of you who've been reading so far, any feedback on Raw and the internet bits in between?

Rating: B+ The first match is London and Kendrick vs. Regal and Taylor & vs. & Although William Regal looked good out there, the match was relatively poor. The fans weren’t really into it, probably because it featured a couple of minutes of solid British-style wrestling. The match finished nearly 6 minutes in, when London his Taylor with a moonsault. Rating: D+ Vince McMahon walks to the ring like only he does. [IMG][/IMG] Cole: Well, we just had a great tag team bout, and now here’s the chairman! Partner, as we saw at the top of the show, Vince McMahon made a huge announcement to kick off Raw this past Monday and promised another tonight! Vince: Thank you, thank you. *crowd boos, Vince looks annoyed* Well, on Monday I promised to give you all more details concerning the unification of the two World Titles! That’s right, like I said on Raw, no longer will there be two World Titles being defended on separate brands. We will have an Ultimate Wrestling Champion that will be defending his title on both shows! Let me tell you now that I will be naming the first champion in the fairest way; Wrestlemania 23, on the 29th of April will be the stage for the biggest match in this company’s history. Forget Hogan vs. Andre…forget Austin vs. The Rock…hell, even make an attempt to forget Shawn Michaels…vs. Mr. McMahon! *crowd boos* Yeah I know, I’d hate to forget that match too…but we’ll move on. You will all cope, because at Wrestlemania it’ll be…the WWE Champion John Cena *crowd boos again*…one-on-one…with the World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker! *huge pop for ‘Taker* The winner will walk out of Wrestlemania 23 as the first ever WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion! Now, there’s more I need to say, but before I carry on…Cena, Undertaker, get down to the ring! The two champions make their entrances Cena: Well, Vince…I’m right here on Friday Night Smackdown, like I said I would be. What else do you need to say? Vince: I’m really glad you told me you were here John, for a minute there I couldn’t “see you” Vince does the “you can’t see me” taunt. I’m only messing, home-boy. I’m glad you mentioned it because this is your new home. No, I’m not talking about the Pepsi Arena, of course I mean Smackdown! Cena and The Undertaker look confused Vince: Yes indeed. John, you are now a Smackdown superstar once again. And Undertaker…you and your World Heavyweight Championship are heading straight for Raw. That’s right, tonight, you’re match against Ken Kennedy will be your last match in a Smackdown ring. Don’t think I’m doing this just to force a change, oh no. I, Vince McMahon, care about the fans. I don’t want them to get bored, because I’m putting a new rule into effect; from now until your match at Wrestlemania…neither of you will be making a title defence! So, to shake things up a bit, you’re going to have fresh opponents and a change of scenery. Good luck on your new brands…champs. JBL: As much as I hate John Cena, this is a brilliant move! Now we can see Cena get his ass handed to him by Mr. Kennedy every single week! It’s genius Michael! And now I have a match, speak to you in two minutes when I win. Rating: C+ The next match is JBL vs. Scotty 2 Hotty, with Ron Simmons, Michael Cole and Mick Foley on commentary. vs. The match was ok, but it was let down by the fact that JBL isn’t really in shape enough to compete. It was fairly even, with Bradshaw getting in several of his trademark moves. The ending was well-executed; JBL went for a Clothesline From Hell, but Scotty reversed it with a drop toe hold, which left Bradshaw looking up at the ceiling. A Worm later and Scotty picked up a huge win. Winner at 6:52 Scotty 2 Hotty Rating: D+ During the commercial, JBL returns to the announce table with a bandage round his head. As we return, Gregory Helms makes his entrance. Once he gets to the ring, he offers an open challenge… Kane begins to walk to the ring, as Helms stares him down, apparently unconcerned. It’s soon clear why: Cole: Good God! This isn’t right! Ken Kennedy with a low blow on the Big Red Machine! Is there any reason for this?! JBL : This is great! He’s sending a message to The Undertaker! He’s making the point that if he can do this to the Dead Man’s brother, he can do it to the champ tonight! Rating: B After the break, music not usually heard on Smackdown starts playing over the PA. Cole: Oh no! It’s The Great Khali! What the hell is Khali doing on Smackdown? Wait…where the hell is he?! This is his music! JBL: Here he comes! Wait… ...that’s Mick Foley! What’s going on! We had a normal Friday night going on here until now! Why Mick, why ruin my peace?! Cole: What peace? You just got your ass kicked tonight in front of your former partner! You need some comic relief! Just before JBL can respond, Foley- dressed as Khali- enters the ring. Foley: : Warrrgh! Khali…wan…Fuley! On Ragggh! Me…wan to crosh Muck Farley! Blaaagh! Ok…I’m sorry. It’s just…I’ve not done a good, funny promo in a while. Anyway, here it is. Khali…I want you in a Hardcore Match at the Royal Rumble. You’ve got till next week to give me answer. Have a nice day! The next match is the Triple Threat Match for the United States Title! (C) vs. vs. Although not the classic expected, it was still a good match, as the three really showed what good chain wrestlers they are. Finlay seemed to forget that his character was just someone who loved to fight, instead using a vast array of British holds and manoeuvres, and that’s no bad thing! Just over a quarter of an hour in, Finlay hit the Celtic Cross on MVP. Just as he went for the pin, Benoit pulled him off and trapped him in the Sharpshooter. Finlay tapped out after a brief struggle, and Benoit retained! Winner at 15:36 and still United States Champion, Chris Benoit Rating: B Funaki is backstage, about to start an interview with Batista. Before it can begin, however, Batista starts to beat him down, knocking him out with a Spinebuster into the wall behind them. After brutalising him and busting Funaki open with right hands, he grabs the mic. Batista: Cena. Look, you’re on Smackdown now. Nothing personal, but I want you, one-on-one, tonight. I don’t want to make a huge feud of this, just me and you, in the ring, no strings attached! I want to improve the opinion people have of me, and I can do that by beating you, just like I beat the crap out of that no-good loser Funaki. Like I said, nothing personal, but I can beat you. So come on, one night only, Batista vs. John Cena! During the above promo, the screen is split, showing Cena’s reaction to all that is said. At the mention of “no strings attached”, “beating you” and “one night only”, Cena looked increasingly worried. After Batista finished, however, Cena simply turned to the camera and said “You got it. Cena-Batista…up next!” Rating: C The match is indeed next: WWE Champion John Cena vs. Batista! (C) vs. The match was much better than expected, and the two really went all-out to give the fans a great showing. Cena really played his part as the returning hero to Smackdown, and Batista carried out his role as…well, a monster heel, to perfection. Eventually, the ref was knocked out after Batista ducked a clothesline from Cena. With the ref out cold, Batista hit Cena with a steel chair and then picked up the win. After the match, he grabbed a mic and simply said “One night only. Who’s next?” Winner at 13:45 Batista Rating: B+ We go backstage, where Kristal is ready to interview Ken Kennedy, who faces The Undertaker next. Kristal: Please welcome my guest at this time, he is The Undertaker’s opponent in his final match on Smackdown, Mr. Kennedy … … Kennedy: …Kennedy! That’s right, I’m going to be the VERY LAST superstar to beat the Dead Man on Smackdown! I have to say, it’s an honour. I’ve beaten him in the past, and I get to do it again. And I will do it again. I’m the best young athlete in this company…I’ve beaten six World Champions. I’m the most charismatic…athletic…good-looking…talented…need I go on? Now, here’s a sign of things to come…the winner of the match…Mister………..Kennedy……….Kennedy! Rating: B Up next is the main event, a non-title farewell match between The Undertaker and Ken Kennedy (C) vs. Not brilliant by any means, this was still a good match, full of brawling and strikes. The highlight of the match- besides the ending- was Kennedy reversing a Chokeslam into a DDT, keeping it locked in for a facelock. ‘Taker didn’t quit though, but four minutes later the ending did come. The champ was climbing the top rope to deliver an Old School, when Kennedy crotched him, climbed up and hit the Green Bay Plunge for the huge win. Winner at 15:49 Mr Kennedy Rating: B FINAL RATING: B

Just letting everyone know that I'm back and I'm not letting this die so soon. As I predicted before I left, I didn't get any shows booked when I was away, so I've still got that to do. I don't know if anything'll be posted this week though, because I've got my last 3 AS Levels (on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday), so I really need to revise for them. Either way, this will get updated soon, I'm not planning on stopping. Any feedback for Smackdown?

We've just been told about some huge inside news regarding the booking of WWE. It's been revealed that Paul "Triple H" Levesque, just one week after being appointed Head of Creative by his father-in-law Mr McMahon, has resigned from the job. He will continue to have a big input into the running of the company, but the majority of control will be given to Manchester-born Al McGeorge. This decision has been reached after Triple H has begun to train again, to ensure he is at peak physical condition when he returns in just over 5 months. McGeorge has quickly made his mark on the company, bringing in several new talents. Here is a list of those he has signed to a contract within his first couple of days with the company: Ace Steel has been called up from OVW, and will be working on the Smackdown brand under the name "Ace" Chris Colton as a face. For the time being he will be used as enhancement talent AJ Styles will be performing initially on the Raw brand, once his contracts with IWA:MS, IWC and TNA expire in a weeks time. He will be using the name Jack Styles, and will be pushed as an opener babyface. Chris Jericho is making his return to the Raw brand, but it is unsure whether he will be making an appearance on this Monday's show. It is more than likely that he will be returning as a heel. Christian Cage has left TNA in a shock U-Turn, and will rejoin his former employers in time for the Royal Rumble. He will go back to using his old ring name and heel persona (Christian), and management is apparently keen to push him into a title scene, although it is unclear which title he will be challenging for. Christopher Daniels has shocked the wrestling world, making the move to Stamford. Although he will initially be a Heel jobber, McGeorge is apparently a big fan, so don't be surprised to see him pushed very heavily over the next few months. Dustin Rhodes makes his return as Goldust, as a Heel on the Raw brand. Hulk Hogan has signed a new deal, reportedly because he feels he needs the exposure to help hype the new series of Hogan Knows Best. Unfortunately for Hogan, he no longer has a creative control clause in his contract. Samoa Joe will appear on the Raw brand as a heel jobber for now, and will be known as Samoan Seanoa. Terry Funk has signed a new contract and will obviously be performing on the ECW brand. Is this a sign that the new Head of Creative plans to slowly return ECW to its old roots, or is it just to bring in a few more viewers each week by using a former Extremist?

Monday Night Raw In front of 5,000 at Ahearn Field House. I’m good old “JR” Jim Ross, here with Jerry “The King” Lawler and King, what a show we have lined up tonight. Not only is there a number 1 contenders match for the Tag Team Titles to open the show, but Umaga has the chance to continue his huge streak started last week when he faces Hulk Hogan! The camera switches to the titan-tron, where a familiar countdown is starting… 5 4 3 2 Y2J BREAK THE WALLS DOWN! Jericho: Welcome back…to…Raw…is…Jericho! I’m back! That’s right, the legend, the lionheart…Y2J is back on Raw baby! I’m making my return, and once again Raw is truly Jericho! I for one am tired of the crap that the powers that be are presenting as wrestling. I mean, we’ve got a McMahon with the Intercontinental Championship! Well, I’m back and the legend of Jericho will live on! My rise to the top begins once again, and the IC title scene will never…e-e-ever be the same again! I guarantee that I will become, very soon, a record-breaking 8-time Intercontinental Champion, beating my and the companies record. I also guarantee that I will hold the title for at least 455 days, also beating the record held by one Honky Tonk Man as the longest IC title reign. I will set new boundaries for this company, and it will never e-e-ever be the same… The opening match is a Number One Contenders match for the World Tag Team Titles, between Cryme Tyme and the new duo of Goldust and Chris Masters. & vs. & The match is fairly even, and Goldust’s unadvertised return got a big pop. Ring-rust was apparent, and that combined with the other stars’ inexperience dragged the match down a bit. Both teams showed promise, and the ending came just over 5 and a half minutes in when Goldust was taken out by Shad, leaving JTG free to pin Masters after a G9. Winners at 5:41 and the Number 1 Contenders Cryme Tyme! Rating: D We cut backstage, where Eric Bischoff is in his office with Randy Orton and Edge. I know you were a bit annoyed last week Randy; you didn’t really wanna be left of the card. I’m gonna make it up to you…you two are reuniting tonight as Rated RKO to take on The Undertaker in his first match on Raw as our World Heavyweight Champion. I’m gonna make a proposal to you, Mr Orton. You see, Edge, you got your high-profile match with a champ last week. Orton, if you two beat The Undertaker down before your match tonight, to give him a real Raw greeting… then you might just get a PPV match this month. Orton: Tell you what, Bisch. We’ll do it on one condition…you guarantee that if, somehow, someway, ‘Taker manages to defeat us…I still get my match at the Royal Rumble, against whoever it may be. I mean, you just said yourself; we just need to beat him down…right? Edge: Not that we’ll struggle to beat him or anything…but I mean, it’d be a lot easier to concentrate knowing that my buddy Randy here has a match in the bag… Bischoff: Boys, I’m a man of my word. If you two take The Undertaker out before your handicap match tonight…you’ll get your match Orton. Now please, I have work to do… Rating: C Suddenly, Real American is heard! The crowd goes nuts, eager to see the return of the Hulkster! JR: It’s Hogan! Hulkamania returns to Monday Night Raw! You better believe he’s got something to say about his match tonight with Umaga! Lawler: And here he comes JR! Hogan’s not even had a chance to grab a mic yet, but the Samoan Bulldozer is heading straight for the ring! And there’s a big right hand sending the Hulkster to the mat! JR: My God! Umaga is beating down Hulk Hogan! The Legend is being dismantled by Umaga! This happened last week to Shawn Michaels, and it ultimately cost him his match with the Samoan Bulldozer! But what the hell is this?! Lawler: Umaga has a chair again JR! I think we know what’s coming! He’s on the top rope… JR: Bam! HBK just took Umaga out with a steel chair! Revenge for last week, and payback’s a bitch! Hogan’s struggling to his feet and you gotta believe that he isn’t the reason Michaels is out here! These two have a storied history with each other and the only reason Shawn’s out here is to get rid of Umaga, which he seems to have done for now! Rating: A The next match is for the Women’s Title, as the champion Melina faces Mickie James! (C) vs. The match itself was decent for a WWE women’s match, as both showed what they could do in the ring. Not long into it, Mickie hit the Mickie-DT and picked up a quick win and the title! The winner at 2:36 and new WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James! Rating: C- After the match, Mick Foley ran down to the ring to help Mickie celebrate. Rating: C+ The next match is a Fatal Four Way for the Intercontinental Title, between the Champion Shane McMahon, Tag Team Champions The Hardys and Kenny Dykstra. (C) vs. vs. vs. The match wasn’t great by any means, but it was decent enough to impress the fans. The Hardys seemed to be on good terms throughout the match, until Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb (after much prompting by Matt) from the top rope to Dykstra, who was on the outside. With two superstars taken out, Matt went to hit Shane with a Twist of Fate, but this was reversed into a DDT, then a Flying Elbow for the win. Winner at 11:46 and still Intercontinental Champion Shane McMahon! Rating: C+ Real American hits the PA once again, but this time Hogan slowly hobbles to the ring, bandaged up. As he gets into the ring, he rips his shirt off and begins to do all his signature poses to a huge pop! Rating: B+ Umaga makes his entrance, and their match is next! vs. The match itself was brilliant! It wasn’t by any means a technical masterpiece, but for what it was, it was nothing short of fantastic! At round 8:30, Hogan began to Hulk Up and the crowd went insane! He bodyslammed Umaga, then a few seconds later Irish Whipped him into the ropes and hit the Atomic Leg Drop! Just as the referee’s hand was about to hit the mat for the three count…Umaga kicked out! Umaga went for a right hand, Hogan blocked it. Hulk then made the mistake of wagging his finger at the Bulldozer. Umaga, not really transfixed by a wagging finger, took the chance and hit the Samoan Spike for the win! Winner at 10:01 Umaga! Rating: A The next match is a six-man tag match, with Val Venis, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels teaming up against The Great Khali and The World’s Greatest Tag Team! && vs. && It was a decent match, although maybe a bit too long for Ric Flair, who looked tired towards the end. However, all 6 men looked good and the match was very smooth indeed. Venis got a lot more offence than most fans suspected, and he and Flair even locked a Double-leg-lock on Khali at one point. Eventually, HBK and Flair clotheslined Khali over the top rope, and followed it up with a Sweet Chin Music and Figure Four Leg Lock on Benjamin. Taking the opportunity, Venis hit Charlie Haas with a Money Shot to pick up the win for his team. Winners at 11:58 Val Venis, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair! Rating: B *Hey!* Randy Orton’s music hits, and he heads for the ring. He grabs a mic and begins to talk. Orton: Now, I know Edge and I have a match up next with The Undertaker, 2 on 1. Hey, I don’t make the matches around here, I just win them! *crowd boos* Oh, get over it! I’m the Legend Killer! I get paid to do three things to asses. Firstly, I kick them. *boos* Secondly…I put them in seats! Yeah and finally…I wrestle in front of them! *huge heat for Orton* But enough of that, I’m here to call out The Undertaker. I mean, we’ve fought in the past, I’ve done some pretty bad stuff to him and I wanna take this opportunity to make amends and apologise. Dead Man, Champ, ‘Taker…please come down here now, before our match, and let me say sorry… Dong! The crowd goes crazy as The Undertaker makes his way to a Raw ring for the first time as a Raw-exclusive talent! JR: Good God he’s here King! ‘Taker has no idea what Orton has in store for him, and he’s just making his way to the ring. Despite what Orton, Edge and our General Manager Eric Bischoff have planned, I still can’t help but be in awe of The Undertaker’s entrance! It’s truly something you have to see live. Orton: Welcome back, champ! I understand this is the first time you’ve been here as a Raw-exclusive superstar. Well, you won’t know how things are done around here. Let me show you… Orton extends his hand. Just as ‘Taker is about to shake it, he pulls away and points behind The Undertaker. ‘Taker turns straight into a vicious Spear by Edge! The pair starts to beat down the Dead Man, even going so far as to hit him with his own Championship! Then, Orton and Edge each grab a steal chair and wait for ‘Taker to stand… Lawler: Con-chair-to! The Undertaker’s out cold! The referee’s down here and this match is underway! Rating: A The match begins and it’s The Undertaker vs. Rated RKO The main event was quite good, although not exceptional. The first 5 minutes was entirely made up of Orton and Edge dominating ‘Taker. At 7:20 Orton went for the cover after a Sidewalk Slam/Reverse DDT combo, but The Undertaker kicked out! He began to fight back and until the 14 minute mark the match was extremely open, with both sides getting a decent amount of offence in. Eventually, The Undertaker chokeslammed Orton, then scooped up Edge, hitting the Tombstone Piledriver for the huge win. Winner at 15:28 World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker Rating: B FINAL RATING: B

WWE are apparently very pleased with the response to the response to the 3 returns last night on Raw. Jericho opened the show to a huge ovation, and although he didn't directly challenge Shane, his promo gave the impression that WWE is building up a McMahon/Jericho IC feud. Goldust got a decent pop for his return, but we're now getting reports that he will be teamed up with Hornswoggle on Raw now, as Team Bizarre! Hulk Hogan got the pop of the night, and his match with Umaga was brilliant. In other news, Kurt Angle won a Fatal Four Way last night with Christian Cage, Damaja and Brother Devon to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. This makes Kurt a 7-time World Champion (4-time WWE Champion, 2-time World Heavyweight Champion and now the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion.)

I was at the beach with some mates yesterday to celebrate the end of exams, and I got back at like 1am, so I didn't have time to format Smackdown. I'm going to get round to it today and should have it up before tonight. Any comments so far?

Ok, I'm trying to decide whether to carry this on. I know a few people have posted and said they're reading this, but I'm finding it hard to be motivated to keep updating because I've had no response since the first show. I wouldn't mind if I got something like "this is crap, here's what you can do to improve", just some response would be nice ;) . I'm not trying to be a bitch about this, just wondering if anyone's been reading and whether it's worth the effort? I do enjoy it, but it's a lot of work to put in to do each show.

If the finish to the Hogan vs Umaga match had been real, I would have marked out... seeing Hogan just popped in the side of the neck with a Samoan Spike whilst doing his trademark posing. Sadly it'll never happen, but I thought it was a moment of minor genius. I wouldn't get too disheartened on the feedback front. The show's are rolling along quite nicely, although it's still fairly early days yet. The only thing I am wary of is the mass signings post... AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Chris Jeriho, Hulk Hogan, Christian Cage, Christopher Daniels, etc all in one fell swoop is a lot to accept. I do like that you've gone the WWE route an given the likes of Styles and Joe alternate names, but whilst I'm not really fixated on realism in diaries, mass signings binges (especially with guys like Styles and Daniels) don't really thrill me. Apart from that, real world WWE and TNA diaries are a dime-a-dozen at the moment given the release of T-Zone. I mean, you can bet that after the draft on RAW tonight, they'll be at least another 2-3 pop up before the end of the week. It's going to take more longetivity and posting to build up a solid readership.
