Welcome to Monday Night Raw, I’m Jim Ross with Jerry “The King” Lawler and folks I’ve got a huge announcement to make. Tonight, officially, for the first time since Survivor Series 1997 Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels will be in the same ring! Will cooler heads prevail, or will we see a preview of this year’s Survivor Series? Lawler: Just in case our fans missed it, let me explain. By decree of Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart will face off one more time! It’s going to be 10 years on, at Survivor Series in Montreal! The match is going to be a Sharpshooter Only Match! JR: Which means that whoever makes their opponent tap out to the Sharpshooter first wins! Lawler: As if that stipulation wasn’t personal enough, there’s going to be a Special Guest Referee… JR: Vincent Kennedy McMahon! Tonight, Eric Bischoff will administer the contract signing for this match so for the first time in 10 years, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart will appear together live in the WWE! Rating: A Bryan Danielson vs. Samoan Seanoa vs. Chuck Palumbo vs. vs. The Corporation seems to be less significant as it was at the beginning of the year, so maybe this is the beginning of a distinct singles career for Seanoa. In the end, the match wasn’t very good at all, ending in less than five minutes when Danielson kept his great run going, pinning Samoan Seanoa with a Dragon Suplex. Winner at 4:33 Bryan Danielson Rating: D+ After the match, The Corporation (Shane McMahon, Umaga, Johnny Nitro and the new Intercontinental Champion Kenny Dykstra) come to the ring to check on Seanoa. He gets to his feet and…turns and smacks Dykstra in the face with a huge chop! The new champ goes to the mat, and the onslaught begins! Seanoa hits the Muscle Buster on Kenny, followed by a Corkscrew Crossbody Splash by Nitro. Umaga lifts the new champ up, and just as he hits the Samoan Spike, Shane hits a low blow! Dykstra is lifted up again, and Umaga and Seanoa hit him with a Double Samoan Spike! They leave the new champ lying in the ring, as Shane shouts that he “shouldn’t have won the title.” Rating: C+ Best of 7 Series: Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas vs. This was a short, just about acceptable, match to start the best of 7 series. The two put on a passable technical display, lasting 5 and a half minutes. It ended when Haas rolled up Benjamin with a handful of tights. Winner at 5:31 Charlie Haas (Best of 7 Series: 0-1) Rating: C World Tag Team Title Match: World Tag Team Champions Cade and Murdoch vs. The Hardy Boyz & vs. & Another short match, it wasn’t great by any means. Cade and Murdoch’s offence was largely brawling, although Cade got in some good suplexes and submissions. The Hardys tried to get the win with their high flying style. In the 3rd minute, Jeff went for a Swanton Bomb on Cade. Murdoch charged and crotched him, and Cade followed up with a huge DDT. A couple of minutes later, they hit the Sweet and Sour on Jeff for the win. Winners at 5:42 and STILL World Tag Team Champions Cade and Murdoch Rating: C The Rock’s music hits, and the People’s Champ makes his way to the ring to a surprisingly quiet reception. He plays to the crowd and grabs a mic. The Rock: The Rock…is back…on Monday Night Raw! Tonight, The Rock’s got to face a real jabroni. The Rock’s facing Johnny Nitro, and The Rock couldn’t be happier. It’s been nearly 2 months since The Rock wrestled in a WWE ring and The Rock has a message and question for Johnny Nitro. Firstly, do you like your lips? The Rock supposes that you like them, because The Rock knows Johnny Nitro’s vain. Well, The Rock’s sorry because as soon as you step into The Rock’s ring you’re going to have them slapped off your face! The Rock says…know your role and shut your mouth! Johnny Nitro, The Rock is going to take his boot…shine and lube it up real good…turn that sum-bitch sideways…and stick it straight up your candy ass! If ya smeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellaaaa….what The Rock…is…cooking. Rating: B- Johnny Nitro makes his entrance and the match can begin. vs. The match began with The Rock slapping Nitro in the face, but this only angered Nitro and the match properly began. These two didn’t click, but still put on a good match, lasting just over 6 minutes. In the end, Nitro got the win mid-way through the 6th minute with a Standing Step-Up Enzuigiri! Winner at 6:31 Johnny Nitro Rating: B Glass smash! Stone Cold Steve Austin comes to the ring with a smile on his face. Austin: Up next, the newest free agent in sports entertainment is in action on Monday Night Raw! Former Smackdown wrestler…Kane…one-on-two…handicap match…against…Carlito Caribbean Cool and the Intercontinental Champion…Kenny Dykstra! Kane, you’re the Big Red Monster, the Big Red Machine. You’re off Smackdown now, and I am offering you a contract on Raw…if you win the next match. If you win your handicap match with Kenny Dykstra and Carlito, the offer is on the table. That’s up next, and it’s the bottom line…cos Stone Cold said so! Rating: C+ The three men make their entrances and the match can begin. & vs. Dykstra is bandaged up, showing the injuries of the attack earlier in the show. He still puts up a decent fight, and he and Carlito use quick tags to try and stay fresh whilst wearing Kane down. The Big Red Machine used his power and size to render the numbers advantage obsolete, eventually hitting a Double Chokeslam 5 minutes in for the win. Winner at 4:55 Kane Rating: C Eric Bischoff’s music hits, and the co-GM walks to the ring with a huge grin on his face. The canvas has been covered with a black sheet, and in the ring is a table with a contract on, and two chairs, a mic on each. Bischoff: Ten years on. It’s brilliant, it’s controversial…and, as the title of my autobiography shows...Controversy…Creates…Cash. I hate to say it…but Steve Austin did a great thing, making this match. Austin, congratulations…you actually made a great BUSINESS decision. But I get to bask in the glory. Because, ladies and gentlemen- and believe me, I use those terms loosely- ladies and gentlemen…for the first time in 10 years Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels will be in the same ring! The Heartbreak Kid…The Hitman…one more time! So, without further ado, it’s time for the contract signing to make this official. Let me introduce first…the Icon, the Legend, the Heartbreak Kid…Shawn Michaels! Shawn’s music hits, and HBK makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation. Bischoff: Well, Shawn…are you ready? Are you gonna take his head off with a superkick…of course not! You’re going to use the Sharpshooter and rub yet more salt in his wounds! You say you’re “born again”, but, let’s be honest…you’re a fraud, you’ve got double-standards. You take every cheap shot you can get in at Bret, despite claming to follow a religion preaching the moral of “turn the other cheek.” You’re a liar, a cheat and a sell-out, and I hope to hell Bret Hart makes you sub- HBK: Makes me what? Submit to the Sharpshooter? He has to, if he wants to win. Because, as you well know, the match is Sharpshooter Only! Not only can you ONLY win by submission…it has to be submission gained by the Sharpshooter. Ten years ago, at Survivor Series 1997, it was I that made Bret Hart submit to the Sharp- Bret Hart’s music hits, and the Hitman walks to the ring shaking his head. He ignores Shawn and turns straight to Eric Bischoff. Bret: Sorry Eric, forgive me if I’m mistaken, but did I just hear Shawn say that at Survivor Series in ’97, he made me tap out to the Sharpshooter? I’m only asking because, if I remember correctly *he gets in Shawn’s face suddenly*…I DID NOT tap out! That’s the reason this match is happening, Shawn! You, Vince, Earl, Paul…you all screwed me! Bret did NOT screw Bret…you four screwed Bret. HBK: I didn’t screw anyone! I did what was best for business, and you know damn well that all it would’ve taken was a few more seconds and you’d have tapped out anyway! Or how about an extra 5 minutes, and you’d get hit with some Sweet Chin Music for the win? Bret: Not a chance. But you’re right- I…lost…that night to the Sharpshooter. You better hope to God I do again ten years on, because it’s the only way to win. HBK: You don’t need to tell me that, Bret. I came up with the stipulation, only way to win is by submission to the Sharpshooter, the very hold that gave me your title and sent you packing to…them. Bret: And they’re back Shawn! They’re back, better than ever, and I can jump there if you want? I can do it again. But I don’t think that’ll happen. You know why, Shawn? Because it’s Sharpshooter Only…which means yes, it’ll be a technical match. But it means there are no counts-outs…no pinfalls…no disqualifications. Bischoff: ENOUGH! Look, we’re here to sign the damn contract for this match, so let’s get down to it. Shawn, you sign first! Shawn sits down at the table and quickly scans the contract. He signs, before sliding it across the table with the pen. Bret stares at it for a moment. Bret: Here we go Shawn. History in the making… He swings across the table, hitting HBK in the side of the head. Michaels hits the mat, and Bret leaps onto the attack. He starts landing punches and kicks on HBK, before turning him over and locking in the Sharpshooter! After about half a minute, Bischoff tells the time keeper to ring the bell. Bret releases the hold and grabs the pen, before signing the contract and throwing it into Shawn. He leaves the ring to boos from the crowd. Rating: A Edge vs. Chris Jericho vs. This was an absolutely brilliant match by two superb talents. They went all-out and really got the fans involved in the match, which was shown when the crowd went insane when Jericho hit a Running Enziguri for the win! Winner at 11:49 Chris Jericho Rating: A* The Undertaker and Val Venis vs. Umaga and Brock Lesnar & vs. &... As the stars made their entrances, Vince was shown on the screen. He said that to shake things up a bit, Lesnar was out. Umaga’s new partner came out on cue… CM Punk! The two didn’t cooperate, with Punk a solid face and the crowd totally against Umaga. The match itself was decent, lasting nearly 10 minutes. Eventually, Venis got the shock pinfall on Umaga with a Money Shot! Winners at 9:40 Val Venis and The Undertaker Rating: B Shawn Michaels’ music hits, and the Heartbreak Kid makes his entrance for the main event. He grabs a mic. HBK: Randy, I’m going to kick your head off right now regardless of your answer to my next question. I’m facing you up next in our main event, but dammit I deserve a title match. I'm not in the mood to mess around, I'm just gonna get straight to the poin. Orton, I’m asking you…would you please grow some balls and give me a title shot up next? Orton’s music hits and the champ makes his way to the ring. Orton: In short…no. A longer answer…you just don’t deserve a title match. We’ve faced off 3 times this year and I’ve beaten you twice. HBK: One singles match… Orton: What the hell are you talk- HBK: One singles match is all we’ve had! And last I checked, I kicked your ass and beat you! The Showstopper was victorious and you lost. Orton: But I’ve won since. And I will win tonight, but it won’t be another successful title defence for the Legend Killer- HBK: Because you’re going to get disqualified? Count-out? Orton: I was considering it, Shawn. But after your rudeness of interrupting the champion of the WWE…you’re not even getting a CHANCE at this championship. Wait…you…could…do. Tell you what HBK…if you beat me tonight in our main event, you get a WWE Title Match as soon as I’ve easily disposed of CM Punk at the Great American Bash. Hell, you can even fight me immediately after that match! HBK: Well what the hell is in it for you? Orton: Well…when you lose, you can never fight for the Ultimate Wrestling Championship again…ever. So, it’s a title match in a couple of months, or no title match- HBK: Ever again, I get it! You know, ‘forever’ is a very long time without anything, especially a title shot…you’re on! Rating: A* The ref rings the bell. The stipulations are simple- HBK wins; he gets a title shot at Vengeance. If he loses then he can never fight for the UWC. vs. The two don’t click, which management already knew. However, once again they still put on a good TV contest. Orton and Michaels traded offence for nearly 9 minutes, when out of nowhere Shawn hit the Sweet Chin Music! Orton kicked out a split second before the 3! A minute later it really was all over, when Randy hit the RKO for a win, meaning HBK can never compete in an Ultimate Wrestling Title match again! Winner at 9:41 Randy Orton Rating: B JR: Dammit! Orton gets the win over Shawn Michaels, and whilst I can’t argue that he fought well, it saddens me to know that the Heartbreak Kid will never get to fight in a match for the Ultimate Wrestling Championship again! Orton celebrates his win, when suddenly CM Punk runs down to the ring and attacks the champ. The Legend Killer starts to battle back, but Punk hits him with a GTS out of nowhere, before locking in an Anaconda Vice! Randy Orton eventually taps out, but CM Punk waits a few seconds before finally releasing the hold, the show ending with the challenger stood over the fallen champion! Rating: A* FINAL RATING: C+ (People wanted to see Umaga and Brock vs. The Undertaker and Val Venis as originally advertised) ADeezy62- 3/7 Jaded- 3/7 It's a draw, so I'll give you both a point. I'm started the prediction tables again (ADeezy62 won, congratulations- I'll e-mail you the prize/choice tomorrow). As we're starting fresh, here are the new standings: ADeezy62: 1 Jaded: 1 Thanks for the predictions, any comments on the show?

Pre-show: For some reason, rather than a proper 10 Man Battle Royal, the fans in attendance are given a Junkyard Brawl Battle Royal. This is just a 10-Man match in a junkyard. You are eliminated by pinfall only, last man standing wins. The competitors are: Abyss CM Punk Colt Cabana Elijah Burke Hardcore Holly Ken Shamrock Matt Striker Mike Knox Paul Burchill Perry Saturn This only last just less than 9 minutes, and wasn’t really that great to be honest. Part of that may have been because the fans were being given a dark match…on the titan tron! There were a few decent spots, and CM Punk put in a fantastic performance. The final four consisted of Hardcore Holly, Ken Shamrock and Elijah Burke. Holly was eliminated at 7 minutes by Burke, who was immediately put in the Ankle Lock by Shamrock, tapping out seconds later. Punk and Shamrock continued fighting for another couple of minutes, until Ken was hit with the Go To Sleep for the win. Winner at 8:43 CM Punk Rating: C The fans are now treated to a proper dark match. La Resistance (Grenier, Conway and Dupree) make a surprise appearance together against the team of Sabu, Rich Davin and Robbie Brookside Sylvain, Rob and Rene didn’t come out as a tandem, making separate entrances. Conway was off his game, and the match wasn’t really good at all. Thankfully it didn’t last too long, ending almost 7 minutes in when Dupree hit a Death Valley Driver on Sabu. Winners at 6:45 Rene Dupree, Rob Conway and Sylvain Grenier Rating: D+ Styles: Welcome one and all to ECW! This past Sunday we crowned a new ECW Xtreme Champion! Mordecai defeated Tajiri in a non-televised Casket Match, which can be watched in its entirety on ECW.COM and on the Judgement Day DVD, due for release this Summer. We’re kicking things off backstage now, with Kane. Kane: Tonight, I’m facing…Mordecai. Non-title, but I’m facing you none-the-less. I have not yet made my decision as to where I’m going…but needless to say, wherever I go I’ll dominate. My total dominance of the WWE continues tonight with the main event…Mordecai versus…the Big Red Machine…the Big Red Monster…Kane! You see, I’ve got a big match lined up for you, right now! You can wrestle Bret “The Hitman” Hart up next…if you agree to become exclusive to ECW. Think about it…Bret’s first match in years…against you, Brock Lesnar! Ok, what do you say?! Lesnar: Sure… They shake on it. Heyman: I’m glad you agreed. Here’s how this is going down. You want big chances on ECW, and although I’ve decided to give Kane…the next ECW Xtreme title shot, you’ll get one at Vengeance. Because I’m giving you this chance, I need an insurance policy. You have to beat Bret Hart. If you beat him, you HAVE to see out your contract with ECW, but if you lose…you’re fired. Rating: B+ Bret’s first match in 7 years: Hart vs. Lesnar vs. Bret clearly isn’t fit enough to wrestle yet, as this match was nothing special. The two competed for 6 minutes, with largely mat-based offence, until Lesnar made Hart tap out to the Stretch Muffler. Winner at 6:08 Brock Lesnar Rating: C+ ECW Legend Rob Van Dam makes his way to the ring. I don’t care if the title is on the line…in fact, I’d prefer it if it wasn’t, because it’s NOT ECW! I just want a chance to kick your ass! In fact, I’ll put my hair on the line. Hair versus…nothing…besides the pride you’ll lose. What do you say? Come on! Rating: C+ Randy Orton and Mike Tyson come out and stop at the top of the ramp. No way! We’ve fought twice before now this year, both times you lost! You don’t deserve to get in the ring with me! I’ve beaten you to keep this title, there’s no reason for me to face you again without it on the line. But don’t think that means I’m having a change of heart and giving you a damn title match…not a chance! No, no…you will be in action next though. It’s going to be Rob Van Dam’s hair versus…well, as you said nothing at all. You’re opponent…the Baddest Man on the Planet…Mike Tyson! Rating: B+ Tyson takes his shirt and jacket off, and the match looks set to begin. The crowd seem to hate it when Tyson wrestles, chanting “You can’t wrestle”, “Get the F*** out” and “We want talent!” In the end, Van Dam got the win he deserved nearly 4 minutes, with the Five Star Frog Splash. Winner at 3:45 Rob Van Dam Rating: C+ ECW Xtreme Champion Mordecai vs. Kane vs. This match was nothing special at all, and somehow it was worse-received than the previous contest. It lasted just over 9 minutes, and was more of a brawl than anything else. Eventually, the champion got the win in non-title action, hitting the Dark Kiss on Kane for the pin. Winner at 9:22 Mordecai Rating: C FINAL RATING: C+ This may have hurt our popularity. Mike Tyson was slightly over-used. Ok, so no predictions so no change in the standings. I'm going to watch Smackdown/Al Murray's Happy Hour so I'll post Smackdown's preview tomorrow evening.

I’m Michael Cole, he’s John “Bradshaw” Layfield and you’re in store for a treat tonight! JBL: Wow, that wasn’t a bad introduction Michael! And you’re right, the fans are in store for- John Cena’s music blares over the PA, and the Doctor of Thuganomics makes his way to the ring. Cena: Yo, yo, yo cut the music! I’ve heard people say “Cena can only talk the talk”, but guess what- I’m proving every week I can back it up with the walk. I’ve won 22 times this year, lost 12, drawn only one. I’m better than everyone, better believe it son. I’ve made the man of 1,000 holds tap out, made HBK and Taker shout out…in pain, they’re all the same- stepped into the ring and felt my rage! It’s my time to get back in the seat, come on- step up and challenge me, even though it’s clear you’ll get beat! I’m looking for a match at the Great American Bash, it’s time for put up or shut up, no more talking trash. I’m gonna fight and fight till I get what I deserve oh…I’m here to lay down a challenge for Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio walks to the ring to decent reception. Mysterio: Orale homes. You want to face me at the Great American Bash, one-on-one? That’s real funny, because I’m one that you HAVEN’T beaten this year. I am one…that is going to kick your ass…at the Bash! Kendrick looked good out there, and when Domino was pinned by London in the 9th minute for the win, Paul came out of the match looking good. Winners at 9:32 and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions London and Kendrick Rating: C Theodore Long is in his office on the phone. Suddenly, Montel Vontavious Porter bursts in! Long: Sorry playa, I’ll have to call you back. Right, MVP. What can I do for ya? MVP: Dammit Teddy, I want a title match against Brian Kendrick! Dammit, I’ve beaten him in a Fatal Four Way before, I deserve a title match! In addition, Finlay lost title match after title match, only won the title once, but he still got his rematches! I want MY rematch Teddy! Long: Well, last I checked you’ve had TWO United States title match this year, Montel. One of them was against someone no longer with us, so a rematch is out of the question. The other was against someone who is NO LONGER CHAMPION! That means, you are not entitled to any rematch. Having said that…you’re in action next, right playa? MVP: Yeah T-Lo, I am. Holla at me- what’s the deal? Long: The deal is…as you know, you’re facing Bryan Danielson. I won’t say any more than this; I will be watching that match very closely, and then a decision will be made regarding the Number 1 Contender for Brian Kendrick’s title, ya feel me? MVP: Alright Teddy, I feel ya! Let me just go and stretch out, have a jog, prepare for the mat- Long: Ain’t no time for that! You’re match is next, playa…holla, holla, holla! Rating: C It is indeed! Nearly 6 minutes in, Porter took himself and Bryan over the top rope with a clothesline. The two brawled outside the ring and couldn’t get in to break the ref’s 10 count! MVP vs. Bryan Danielson ended at 5:56 in a Double Count Out. Rating: B- No chance! Vince: Mr. Porter, Mr. Danielson. That was a fine contest, but sadly…neither of you came out on top. Now, Theodore Long did say that a decision would be made concerning who will be the Number 1 Contender to the United States Championship. I was considering making it the winner of your match…but alas, you drew. So, I’m here to announce…that next week, live on Friday Night Smackdown…there will be a Battle Royal to decide Brian Kendrick’s next opponent for the US Title! Good look to the both of you, because you’ll BOTH be competing in it. Rating: B Rey Mysterio vs. Bobby Lashley vs. This was nothing special considering the two superstars competing, but Mysterio hasn’t really set the world alight since his return. The match was decent for a TV contest, and it ended nearly 8 minutes in when Mysterio hit the 619 and then dropped the dime for the win. Winner at 7:42 Rey Mysterio Rating: B- We cut backstage, where Randy Orton is standing by. Orton: That was real funny Punk, real funny of you to attack me on Raw this past Monday. Look, this didn’t have to be personal. I mean, we have no bad blood. It could have been strictly business, this match. It still could be. Just no more cheap shots and we can have a smooth road to the Great American Bash, and I can RKO you and keep the title. Then we can both move on, Punk. What do you say? Let’s just make this a good business move for the both of us. Think about it- I get to face off against the fastest rising star in years, CM Punk. You…you get to be pinned by the Legend Killer Randy Orton. Ok, I guess you’re not a Legend…you can consider our match at the Bash…me killing your legend’s foetus. Your legend will die before it can begin…but understand this. I’m not doing it because I dislike you…I’m doing it because I can. I’m doing it because it is my destiny to be champion. I’m doing it because Randy Orton…is good for business. Rating: A* William Regal vs. Booker T vs. The Great Brit did well in this match, looking like winning early on with a superb Regal Cutter, but Booker somehow kicked out. They fought for another 5 minutes, until just over 7 minutes in Booker caught Regal with the Scissors Kick for the win in this decent match. Winner at 7:14 Booker T Rating: B Randy Orton and Mike Tyson make their way to the ring for Orton’s match next. Tyson: CM Punk…if you could please come out here, Randy would like to speak to you face-to-face. Just as he slips into the ring, Orton leaps on the attack clubbing Punk on the back of his head. He drags him to the centre of the ring and hits an Overdrive, before driving his knee into Punk’s skull. The champ lifts him up into a Full Nelson, dropping him to the mat when Tyson delivers a brutal right uppercut to the side of then head. Punk’s lifted up again, and given a vicious RKO. Mike Tyson tells the Legend Killer to stop. Rather than ending the attack, Tyson merely brings a chair into the ring, and sets it up. Orton hits another RKO onto the chair, before kicking CM Punk out of the ring where he is taken backstage by officials. Rating: A* Cena and Christian make their entrances for the Triple Threat, and it can begin! vs. vs. The crowd are booing Orton all the way through this match after his cheap attack on Punk. The match itself was brilliant, going over a quarter of an hour and having some great back and forth action between all three men. In the 15th minute, Tyson distracts the referee. Orton grabs a chair and decks Christian with it. Cena then pulls the chair from Orton’s hands and sends it crashing into his skull. John then throws it from the ring and makes the cover on Christian, getting the win much to Tyson’s dismay! Winner at 16:43 John Cena Rating: B+ Christian just gets to his feet when Batista charges to the ring with a baseball bat. The Animal swings and nearly takes Christian’s head off, knocking him to the mat. He hits a brutal Spinebuster, then sends him over the top. Batista pulls the steel steps out, and then delivers the Batista Bomb onto them. He pulls out a cable from under the ring and starts to choke Christian, following it up by driving him head-first into the steel ring post, busting him wide open. A bloody and battered Christian is taken out of the arena by paramedics. Rating: A CM Punk makes his entrance for the match, bandaged up from the attack earlier. Batista is enraged however, meeting Punk halfway down the ramp with a Spear. He starts to pound his skull with right hands, busting him open as well, before hitting a Spinebuster onto the steel ramp. He drags CM Punk to ringside and rams him spine-first into the apron, following it up with a Spinebuster into the barrier. Batista rips the padding off the arena floor, exposing the concrete. He sends Punk into it with a Batista Bomb and then rolls him into the ring so the match can begin. Rating: A* The ref rings the bell. vs. Not as good as the attacks, the crowd were still hot though. Batista largely dominated for 4 minutes, until Punk started to make some sort of comeback, hitting several dropkicks and arm drags, but his momentum kept getting squashed by Batista. After nearly 12 minutes of action, Batista hit his 3rd Batista Bomb of the night, this time for a pinfall victory. Winner at 11:38 Batista Rating: B Final Rating: B+ Success!

JR: Hello ladies and gentlemen, let me welcome you to Monday Night Raw! Wow, we’re kicking things off in a huge way! Here comes the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels! HBK: Night after night this year and over the past decade I’ve pulled out all the stops to entertain each and every one of you. I’ve taken on all comers, even competing in a…if I dare say so myself gripping encounter in Hell in a Cell against The Undertaker and John Cena. *HBK pauses for a moment, until the arena is in silence* I’ve competed in 37 matches so far this year. I drew one of them with Johnny Nitro and Edge, teaming up with arguably the greatest Canadian wrestler of all time, Y2J Chris Jericho! Of the other 36 matches, 18 I won, 18 I lost. The fact of the matter is, every match I went in there and gave it my all! I fought from bell to bell, never quitting unless I felt that, under the pain I was in, I was risking never being able to walk out here unaided and entertain you all. Bret Hart…well, you’ve done nothing of note really in the past decade. Sure, you went over to W…what? I can’t finish of the initials? We’ll SEE about that. You went to W-dammit…wait a minute. Did I…anyway! You left us for them. You spent 2 years there…and then left. But oh wow! You came back less than half a year later to win a major title! Then, in the same year, you got knocked out by Bill Goldberg. I won’t say I’m glad it happened, because no-one deserves to get injured. But the fact is you never got over those injuries, and the only time you’ve wrestled since 1999…you lose. I’ll be honest with ya Bret…you looked terrible. And you did something I pride myself on never doing unless under the circumstances I mentioned earlier. Bret, you tapped out…you quit. Brock Lesnar made you tap out to the Stretch Muffler, and it will be brilliant to make you quit at Survivor Series 2007…to the Sharpshooter. I don’t care if you didn’t actually tap out. The fact of the matter is…it will go down in history that in Montreal, Survivor Series 1997, Bret Hart lost to Shawn Michaels for a World title via the Sharpshooter. Ten years on…I really hope the same thing can be achieved. Rating: A* Best of 7 Series: Shelton Benjamin (0) vs. Charlie Haas (1) vs. These two put on a watch-able match, but nothing special at all really. It lasted nearly 7 minutes, and featured predominantly mat-based wrestling. In the end, Benjamin got Haas in a bow and arrow submission, bending Haas’ spine backwards. After a few seconds in the hold, Charlie couldn’t hang in there any longer, tapping out. Winner at 6:49 Shelton Benjamin (Best of 7: 1-1) Rating: C Johnny Nitro’s music hits, and the talented star makes his way to the ring. Nitro: I am Johnny Nitro, and it’s about time you all sat up and recognise that I’m just better than you. Earlier this year, I got my second win of the year against Chris Jericho! I’ve beaten The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels in tag matches, and I beat Carlito Caribbean Cool a few weeks ago. And…check this- I beat The Rock last week! So, it’s time for all you fats slobs to start taking notice! I am the most athletic, high-flying, technically gifted, charismatic and good looking superstar in the WWE! Despite all my achievements…one man has been getting all of the attention this year. Val Venis. He’s seen as a great talent, technically gifted…and some have even said he has “the look.” You gotta be kidding me! I am much more attractive and muscular than Venis and guess what…it’s all natural! I want to prove to you that I’ve got a better body, as well as more talent. So next week, if you think you can compete with…this body…we’re gonna have ourselves a Pose Down, right here on Raw! Rating: C+ Non-title: World Tag Team Champions Cade and Murdoch vs. The Hardy Boyz & vs. & This non-title rematch from last week was slightly above average, lasting little under 6 minutes and featuring a good mesh of styles. In the end, the champs’ domination was suddenly ended when Matt and Jeff hit simultaneous Twist of Fates, followed by a Leg Drop and a Swanton onto Murdoch and Lance respectively. Jeff made the cover on Cade for the win. Winners at 5:41 The Hardy Boyz Rating: C+ We cut backstage, where Kenny Dykstra is in his locker room. The new Intercontinental Champion is stretching, the belt on a bench next to him. Shane walks in and picks up the belt, slinging it over his own shoulder. Dykstra quickly takes a step towards him. Shane: Whoa, steady on kid! Look, I just want to say…I’m ready to forgive you. Dykstra: Forgive me for what, exactly? And could you please hand me MY title back, before I take it back... Shane: I’m going to pretend you didn’t say that. I think you’ve had enough. I mean, after I got Eric to make that match with you and Carlito against Kane, I think you’ve learnt your- Dykstra: That was you? Why the hell- Shane: You stole my title, Kenny. If you hadn’t have gone for the cover after the leg drop, I wouldn’t have had to remind you exactly why you were in the match. Then, Chuck wouldn’t have been able to blindside us…and you wouldn’t have STOLEN my IC title. Dykstra: Look, get over it. The fact is *takes title and puts it round his own waist*…I am the Intercontinental Champion, and you’re not. Now, I know you’ve got a little match set up next to try and get this title back, but- Shane: Tell you what! I will give you…$750,000…AND an Ultimate Wrestling Title match! What do you to that…champ? Dykstra: …$750,000…and a match for the WWE Ultimate Wrestling Championship? Shane: You got it. All you have to do…is lay down for me next and forget about your pride. Dykstra: …see you out there... They shake. Shane starts to walk out, but pauses and turns back. Shane: Oh, and Samoan Seanoa will be in the match too…a Triple Threat. He’ll be there…just to make sure you…do what’s right. Rating: C- The three men make their way to the ring, and the IC title match begins! Just as Shane was about to make the cover, he sat up and grabbed a mic, saying that he wanted Seanoa out of the ring, for trust reasons. The huge Samoan obliged. Just before he lay down again, Kenny charged and hit a plancha onto Seanoa, knocking him out! He got back into the ring and hit a big suplex on Shane, only getting a 2-count. The IC champ went for a low blow, but Dykstra caught his hand just in time, before hitting an Arm Drag, leaving McMahon on his back. The champion climbed to the top rope and hit a huge Guillotine Leg Drop, making the cover and getting the win! Winner at 3:45 and STILL Intercontinental Champion Kenny Dykstra Rating: C+ Dykstra: I QUIT THE CORPORATION! Shane, I’m tired of the bull**** and the politics! It’s time for me to move on. I’m not doing this for any of the fat, pathetic and downright moronic fans! I’m doing it because I will be the best IC Champ of all time…better than you, Shane McMahon…better than The Rock…better than Triple H. Hell, I’ll do a much better job than any of you scummy, pathetic bitches could do…speaking of which…I’m gonna be better than Chris “Y did you come back” Jericho. I quit the Corporation. Rating: B We cut backstage once again, where Edge and Randy Orton are stood waiting. Edge: You’re in for a real treat! I mean, not only will you be seeing the Rated R Superstar battering and beating The Undertaker- Orton: You’re also going to bare witness to me, the Ultimate Wrestling Champion and the Legend Killer…murder…the career and legend…of Chris Jericho. Edge: Hey, but we know which is gonna be better, right? I mean, you’ve faced Chris 2 times already this year, on Raw and in singles action! I’ve faced The Undertaker…wait…crap- once…tw- Orton: This will be the 8th time! AND…you’ve only won 3 out of the 7 matches so far! I’ve beaten Jericho both times! I win! Edge: Well…I’ve held more titles than you! Orton: …you’re pathetic! But back on topic…tonight Rated RKO will be coming out on top in both matches because we really are- Edge: The future of this business. Orton looks disgruntled that Edge stole his line, and as the camera fades the two are still bickering. Rating: A Shawn Michaels vs. Kane vs. Chuck Palumbo vs. Ric Flair vs. vs. vs. Kane is announced as “representing ECW”, so it looks like he’s an ECW exclusive now. Anyway, the match was quite good, with all four men giving it their all. Nearly 8 minutes in, the outsider got a huge win in the 8th minute, with Kane hitting a Chokeslam on Palumbo to give ECW a win over Raw! Winner at 7:47 Kane Rating: B Edge vs. The Undertaker vs. Management knew that these two don’t click, but still had faith that they could put on a good contest. This was proved correct; although nothing special by either man’s standards, it was still good enough to keep the fans entertained, ending in 8 and a half minutes, when Edge Speared The Undertaker and then made the cover, with his feet on the bottom rope, unseen by the ref. Winner at 8:32 Edge Rating: B Edge takes Taker out straight away with a stamp to the head. He continues to stomp on the Dead Man, before unleashing a barrage of rights and lefts, busting Undertaker open. He hits him with an Edgecution, but the former UW Champion sits up! Edge charges and takes him back down with a really low spear. The Undertaker starts to fight back, hitting huge lariats and then going Old School. Just before he leapt off the top... Umaga charged through the crowd and grabbed his legs, pulling him crotch-first onto the ropes. He clotheslined the Phenom, knocking him into the ring, where Edge leaped back on the attack. He started landing rights and lefts on Undertaker, busting him wide open. Umaga and Edge started to double team Taker, both eventually smearing his blood over their bodies. They left a bloody, battered Undertaker in the ring, walking towards the back. Edge goes through the curtain, but before Umaga can leave… Rating: A* I’m back! Eric Bischoff’s music plays over the PA, and the Co-GM walks to meet Umaga on the ramp. Bischoff: The board have sent me out here saying I should make a match. So, I will. I want to see a preview of sorts for the Val Venis versus Johnny Nitro contest at the Great American Bash. However, I am by no means prepared to give a match of that calibre away tonight. So, up next we’re going to have a Triple Threat. Val Venis, the most improved star of the year, against his nemesis Johnny Nitro, the REAL superstar of Sports Entertainment…versus…the man who just battered The Undertaker…the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga! So, get back in the ring right now, because like I said…this match is next! Rating: B+ Nitro makes his entrance next, followed by Val Venis and the match begins. vs. vs. This was an incredible match, one of the best of the year so far. It was only just over 11 minutes, but it was still a classic contest, despite Umaga being off his game tonight. The three men brawled and fought until the end, when Venis and Nitro surprisingly teamed up, getting Umaga to the mat. Venis hit the Money Shot, but was then taken out with a brutal Neckbreaker by Nitro. Johnny then hitting a fantastic Standing SSP on Umaga, stealing the victory. Winner at 11:17 Johnny Nitro Rating: A* Non-title: WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho vs. This was yet another brilliant contest, lasting nearly 14 minutes and full of back and forth action. In the 8th minute, Jericho nearly made Orton tap out to the Walls of Jericho, but the champ reached the bottom rope, forcing Y2J to break the hold. The Legend Killer very nearly stole it in the 13th minute, hitting an RKO out of nowhere, but Jericho somehow kicked out. He went for another one, but CM Punk walked down the ramp, momentarily distracting him. He turned around, only for Y2J to suddenly hit an Enziguri, cracking Orton in the side of the head for the win! Winner at 13:50 Chris Jericho Rating: A CM Punk gets into the ring, and he and Orton are in each other’s faces. They start to mouth off, until Randy takes a swing, sending Punk staggering back. He pauses and then smacks the champ in the face. They start to brawl, until Jericho slips back in the ring and helps Punk gain the upper hand. The two start to beat Orton down, but then Umaga and Edge hit the ring and begin to help Orton gain the advantage. The three men unleash a brutal beating on Y2J and Punk, when suddenly the lights cut out. When they come back on, The Undertaker is stood in the ring. He cleans house, throwing Nitro over the top. He Chokeslams Edge, before throwing him out too. With Orton left in the ring, he’s firstly locked in the Walls of Jericho, as CM Punk talks smack as he taps out. Y2J releases the hold, and Undertaker hits a Tombstone. It looks like that’s all, but then the challenger hoists him up and hits the Go To Sleep, before standing over his Great American Bash opponent as Raw goes off the air. We’re in for a treat to start the show, with Bryan Danielson taking on Elijah Burke! Danielson is on a huge roll as of late, currently on a big streak, in which he’s not been pinned or submitted, spanning 21 matches on all three brands. Both men are in the ring, and this should be good. Bryan Danielson vs. Elijah Burke vs. This was quite good, with the fans surprisingly interested. It was an odd choice to start the show, but still got the crowd hyped for the rest of the show. It lasted 4 and a half minutes, ending when Bryan hit the Dragon Suplex for a massive win over a former Xtreme Champion. Winner at 4:31 Bryan Danielson Rating: B- A music video is shown to promote Kane. Sadly he was also off his game, and this match was terrible. Nearly 4 minutes in, Mahoney hit the Ball Breaker on Senshi, getting the win and keeping the titles. Winners at 3:54 and STILL ECW Xtreme Tag Team Champions Balls Mahoney and The Sandman Rating: D+ Backstage, WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton is standing by. Orton: Ok, I know that tonight, in the main event I have to face…Kane. But I’m not looking at that as my next big challenge. No, no. In two weeks time, I’m defending my Ultimate Wrestling Title against CM Punk at the Great American Bash. It will be a challenge, no doubt, but well…not meaning to insult, Punk, but you’re just that…a punk. You see, I’ve beaten The Undertaker to get this title! Backlash, I beat him 1-2-3 and took the title from him at the first pay-per-view hurdle. Then, my one-man dynasty continued at Judgement Day, when I defeated him YET AGAIN on pay-per-view, keeping this title around my waist. Punk, compared to The Undertaker…you’re nothing! You haven’t got a 15-0 winning streak at Wrestlemania. You aren’t a legend, you haven’t won the titles he has…hell, when I beat you I won’t be beating the last-ever WWE and World Heavyweight Champion in history! I’ve done it though. I’ve battered The Undertaker, and destroying you at the Great American Bash…it’ll be simple. I’d like to apologise to the fans. They won’t be seeing a classic, 30-minute contest. No, they’ll be seeing a 2-minute…mediocre beat-down of you, the destruction of your career. Rating: A Non-title: ECW Champion Mordecai vs. Rob Van Dam vs. This was a passable pre-main event, although it could have been so much more. In multi-man competition, these men have done better, but it was still acceptable. Midway through the 7th minute, Mordecai hit the Crucifixion for the win. Winner at 7:31 Mordecai Rating: C+ Non-title: WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton vs. Kane vs. These two stars put on a great, captivating contest sadly lacking a little something to push it into being a MOTYC. It lasted a good quarter of an hour, with Orton looking to win early with an RKO in the 6th minute. Just under 10 minutes later, he finally hit another, getting the win over Kane nearly 15 minutes in. Winner at 14:50 Randy Orton Rating: B+ Orton starts to celebrate his win in the ring. Suddenly, his celebration is cut off short by challenger CM Punk, who charges to the ring and takes the champ down with a steel chair! He starts to build momentum, taking out his opponent for the Great American Bash. Punk hits the Go To Sleep on Randy, and then locks in the Anaconda Vice! Just as it looks like the champion is about to tap out, Mike Tyson hits the ring and smacks Punk with another steel chair. The show goes off the air with the final image being Orton having his arm raised by Tyson, who has the chair in his other hand. Rating: B+ FINAL RATING: B+ Success!

Jeff Hardy was late and has been given a 1-month suspension. This won’t help WWE, as he’s desperately needed for the Raw tag team division. However, it shows that they have no tolerance. For instance, Marty “Boogeyman” Wright was suspended for fighting. He argued against his suspension, and was shown the door. He made his debut for WCW this week, losing in the main event to James Gurrie (custom character). The fact that a main eventer was fired and effectively handed to the competition shows that WWE really aim to make the backstage area a nice place to be. EDIT: Smackdown will be up tomorrow, not in 20 mins- something's come up, not got time to do it at the moment. Nothing serious, just not got time tonight- it should definately be up tomorrow night though.

Dammit, I’m Vincent Kennedy McMahon and if you don’t shut up then I’m just gonna sit here at ringside all night. I’ll be seeing who you cheer for…and they’ll all…be fiiiiiiiiiired! Thank you. Now, let me get on with my purpose for being out here tonight. As you should all know from reading WWE.Com, tonight there will be a 10-Man Battle Royal to determine the Number 1 Contender for the United States Championship, currently held by Brian Kendrick. Well, I’m here to announce the competitors in said match. I don’t want them to come out yet, but here’s the definite list. Bryan Danielson…Montel Vontavious Porter…Ron Simmons…Kevin Steen…Funaki…Chris Masters…Paul London…D’Lo Brown…and one more man. Ladies and gentlemen…the first entrant in the Battle Royal… Rating: B- Oh you didn’t know! Your ass better call…somebody! Road Dogg makes his return to Smackdown, possibly for one night one only if he doesn’t become the Number 1 Contender. Vince applauds him and leaves the ring. The other 9 make their entrance and the Battle Royal Begins. It was only just less than 12 minutes, and thus never really got going. We were down to the final four by 9 minutes, which consisted of Finlay, Road Dogg, Ron Simmons and Montel Vontavious Porter. Simmons and Porter were eliminated just as we got to the last 4, when Porter clotheslined himself and Farrooq over the top and out of the match. Finlay and Road Dogg brawled for a couple of minutes, until Dogg low blowed him and then back body dropped the Fighting Irishman over the top rope to the mat below! Road Dogg wins and is the Number 1 Contender! Winner at 11:39 and Number 1 Contender for the US Title Road Dogg Rating: C Road Dogg is celebrating, then shouts that the title is going to TNA when he wins it! Suddenly, Theodore Long’s music hits and the General Manager makes his way to the ring. Long: I’m not sure I heard ya right there, playa. Sounded to me like you said you wanna take OUR United States Championship to TNA. That ain’t how it’s gonna go down. Tell you want…up next you’re in a Triple Threat…against Montel Vontavious Porter and…Bryan Danielson. If you WIN this match…you’re still the Number 1 Contender, ya feel me. You can take it wherever you want, if ya win playa. Now, listen real good cos if you don’t win the match…well you’re contract will be mine and you’re back on Smackdown. Ya feeling that? Two more things playa. I’ve heard you say backstage that you’re the best on the brand, the best in the country…hell the best in the world. So, you gotta win the match…in 3 minutes. That’s right, a 3 minutes time limit. I’m sure ya can do it playa…and it’s next! Holla, holla, holla! Rating: C- Number 1 Contenders Match: Road Dogg vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. vs. Decent enough, considering the length. Each man had a period when they dominated. Sadly, Danielson was off his game, but it was still watch-able. Danielson had Road Dogg locked in the Arms Across America, but the time limit ran out. Just as it ran out, Porter hit Danielson and broke up the hold JUST as Road Dogg tapped out! Bryan Danielson vs. Road Dogg vs. Montel Vontavious Porter ended at 3:00 when the time limit expired. Rating: C+ Theodore Long has been watching at ringside, and immediately he stands up, mic in hand. Long: What a shame, playa. Road Dogg…you didn’t win. So, you can’t take the title to TNA…hell, last I checked you didn’t WIN the number 1 Contenders Match! Also, you didn’t lose. So, you can’t come to Smackdown as a full-time star. So, listen very carefully, cos I’m only gonna say this once…get the hell out my ring, you’re fired, ya feeling that? Now, gentlemen. Bryan Danielson…you weren’t pinned and you didn’t submit, yet again. Neither did you, MVP. So, in the interest of fairness…next week it will be…Bryan Danielson vs. Montel Vontavious Porter with the winner going on to the Great American Bash to face Brian Kendrick for the United States Championship! Rating: C+ Non-title Champion vs. Champion: WWE United States Champion Brian Kendrick vs. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Jack Styles vs. This wasn’t great by any means, but it was an average match relatively early on in the show. Kendrick’s performance stood out as being good in the contest, which lasted a surprising 9 minutes, coming to a close when the US Champ hit Dr. Smoothe’s Secret Recipe on Styles for the win. Winner at 8:56 Brian Kendrick Rating: C Kane and William Regal and backstage. Regal says something unheard that clearly pisses the Big Red Monster off. Kane starts to follow him slowly, as William runs scared. He charges into Long’s office, followed by Kane. Kane grabs his throat. Regal: B-b-b-bloody hell! I didn’t mean to insult Mr…Mr Kane. It’s just…I didn’t think you were allowed in here, with it being S-s-s-Smackdown and all… Long: Kane, let go. Look, I WILL call security if you don’t, because he’s right. This is Smackdown, a brand you left after the handicap match at Backlash. But, I’m gonna give you a match tonight. You’re here. You’re not getting paid for this, playa, because well…I can get you ejected from the building for just being here. So, get ready because you’re match is coming up very soon. Holla, holla, holla. Rating: B- We cut backstage, where WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton and Mike Tyson are standing by. Orton seems to have a black eye, and Tyson is holding the steel chair from Tuesday on ECW. This past Tuesday on ECW live on Sci-Fi…you went too damn far. Mr. Orton, my client and your Ultimate Wrestling Champion, was in a highly praised contest against the Big Red Machine, Kane. He came out on top, and was a little tired after said match. So, you decided to take advantage! Look at this man’s eye! Black and bruised, because you decided to use a steel chair. I had to protect my client. I had to use THIS…steel chair to teach you a lesson. If I were y- Orton: If I were you, Punk…I’d watch out! I’d get used to the sight of this chair, the way it feels when it meets your spine. If I was fit and healthy, I’d teach you a lesson myself. But tonight, Ken Kennedy…. Tyson: Kennedy… Orton: …Kennedy…will do it for me. You will face him in the main event tonight and once my eye’s healed... you’re going down…Punk. Rating: A Inter-brand Match: ECW’s Kane vs. Smackdown’s William Regal vs. The match wasn’t that great really, as both men can and have done much better this year, let alone in their career. Regardless, it was a decent TV match that lasted nearly a quarter of an hour, featuring good back-and-forth wrestler (Kane actually played the technical game tonight). Sadly, the ref was distracted when Kane’s ring pyro went off in the middle of the match. As the ref and Kane looked confused, Regal hit the monster with brass knuckles, unseen by the ref, and got the win! After the bell rang, he quietly slipped some money to one of the ring workers up near the titan tron. Winner at 14:31 William Regal Rating: B- A music video is shown to promote Booker T. All four men really put it all out for this, which lasted nearly 18 minutes. It was a great tag team match, combining two feuds (the kind of tag matches that have become commonplace in WWE this year). It was fantastic from start to finish, a real treat to watch. The ending came in the 17th minute, when Cena hit an F-U on Mysterio! Winners at 17:43 John Cena and Batista Rating: B+ CM Punk’s music hits, and the challenger for the UWC at the Great American Bash makes his entrance to a strong ovation. He takes a mic from ringside and looks to have something to say before Ken Kennedy can come out. Punk: You’re scared, aren’t you? You’re scared for your title, Randy. I know you are. Why else wouldn’t you come out here to kick my ass? Well, how about I turn around like this and face away from the backstage area. Maybe that’ll make you feel a bit more comfortable attacking me. I know, I know, that might be a bit hypocritical, but come on! This week on Raw, sure I cost you your match…but just last week, right here on Smackdown, you hit me when I was slipping into the ring. You took the cheap shot that night on Raw, after the match you LOST in against Chris Jericho. You swung first. So, I only felt it fair to get you back. Plus, you shouldn’t really be annoyed…it’s two against one. It happened with The Undertaker, and now I guess it’s happening with me too. Ok, I can accept that- if Orton’s starting to lose, chances are Tyson won’t be far behind. Well, the deal is…I’m better than you! I can kick your ass and I will do at the Great American Bash, just like I did on ECW. Hell, I surprised that you haven’t got Mike Tyson replacing you! Hey- don’t get any ideas…I mean, everyone knows you're scared and all…but how about you fight me like a man for once. Rating: B+ Ken Kennedy makes his charismatic entrance and it’s time for the main event! vs. This wasn’t that great to be honest, but it wasn’t too bad that the fans hated it. Kennedy and Punk don’t click at all, which showed. Having said that, they still pulled out a decent contest that kept the fans involved at times, dragging it out over 23 minutes! In the end, Punk hit a Go to Sleep out of nowhere and got a big clean win over Ken Kennedy! Winner at 22:49 CM Punk Rating: B- Final Rating: B- No comments So, any comments, criticisms or love for the diary so far lol?

Tonight’s broadcast is going to begin with a Pose Down between Val Venis and Johnny Nitro, the seeds of which were planted last week when Johnny Nitro challenged Venis, claiming he’s better looking and more talented than Val. Now, not that I’m someone to judge a man on the former, I still have to say that I’m sure Val Venis will win this! Both men are now in the ring, with a judge in between. The lights go down, and the Pose Down begins. Venis goes to start, but Nitro stops him and insists that he will start. He then goes first, doing simple poses with one arm. Val copies him, getting much louder cheers. This continues for a couple of minutes in a similar pattern (Nitro does a pose and gets booed, then Val does it and gets cheered). Eventually, the judge names Venis the winner! Val celebrating with yet more poses. Rating: C+ Suddenly, Johnny Nitro attacks him from behind, angered at being upstaged. He starts to lay into Val’s gut with some stiff kicks, and then a Standing SSP. He continues the attack with some shots to the head with his fists, busting the fan favourite open. Nitro throws Venis over the top rope, where he falls against the barrier. Johnny takes a run up, before leaping onto the top rope and jumping off it in one slick movement, hitting a corkscrew in mid-air, landing chest first on Venis, knocking him out. Nitro leaves, laughing. Rating: B Best of 7 Series: Ladder Match (a flag is hanging from the ring): Shelton Benjamin (1) vs. Charlie Haas (1) vs. This wasn’t anything special, but it was good enough to be the first real match of the show. It lasted 6 and a half minutes, with the two men going through the motions so to speak, with no spots that hadn’t been seen before. Just past the 5 minute mark, Benjamin hit a T-Bone suplex off the ladder, hurting himself and Haas. A minute later, Haas was still out, but Shelton was just getting to his feet. He slowly made his way up the ladder and managed to retrieve the flag, winning the match and putting him ahead in the Best of 7 Series! Winner at 6:37 Shelton Benjamin (Now winning 2-1) Rating: C Time to play the game…Time to play the game! Mwahahahahaha! Triple H’s music hits, and slips of his career are show on the titan tron, including the injury that put him out of action just before the end of 2006. The video lasts about 5 minutes, coming to an end when the following is on the screen: “Triple H Returns...” As this comes up, the music just plays “On your knees, dog,” from Triple H’s King of Kings music. Rating: C+ JR: My God, Triple H is returning! I don’t know when, but by Lord that will be incredible! And- wow! Bret Hart is in attendance tonight, folks! The camera spans the front row, eventually settling on the Hitman, who flashing his ticket and gives a quick wave at the camera. He’s makes a show of the fact that he’s wearing street clothes. The announcers do not explain fully why Jeff is absent tonight, only saying that he will be out of action indefinitely for about a month (in reality, he has been suspended for a month because of being late for a second time this year). The match lasted a surprising 6 minutes, with Hardy getting in a fair bit of offence. Eventually, the match came to an end when Cade took out Hardy with a vicious Lariat for the win! Winners at 6:23 Cade and Murdoch Rating: C+ Cade and Murdoch leave the ring with their tag titles. Matt Hardy struggles to his feet, but just as he rises, the tag champs hit the ring again and take him out with a Sweet ‘n’ Sour! They start to hit him with the title belts, before Cade takes his boot off and beats Matt in the head with it. The champs leave Matt down, hurt in the centre of the ring. The Hitman looks confused, and shrugs his shoulders. The lights go down and a silhouette appears on the ramp. The lights come up to show…Shawn Michaels, dressed as the Hitman. HBK completes Bret Hart’s entrance, even handing the sunglasses to Bret himself! He gets into the ring. HBK: I screwed Bret! I screwed Bret! I screwed Bret! I…am Bret? I am Bret! I am Bret! I am Bret…wait…that means…Bret screwed Bret! Bret screwed Bret! Bret screwed Bret! Look, I know it’s nearly 10 years on, but I just can’t do it! I can’t let it slide, I can’t move on from the Montreal incident! I’m sorry, but I just can’t! So, I’m going to put it all on the line against the REAL greatest superstar in history, my idol the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels! He’s just got so much talent, and I have to say…I’m not the best. HBK is the best there was, way back when at Survivor Series 1997! He used brains to outsmart and beat me, I lost by submission via the Sharpshooter. Mr. Wrestlemania Shawn Michaels is also the best there is! There’s just no conceivable way, in this day and age, that I can beat him! I lost my return to Brock Lesnar, and the same will happen against the Heartbreak Kid at Survivor Series 2007! He’s, without a doubt, the best there ever will be! Whoa, whoa! Bret, don’t even think about leaving. C’mon, be a sport! This is going to be a great occasion, let’s entertain the fans on the road to it! These fans will witness the greatest wrestling spectacle of all time in November, and you can’t deny that Bret. We can say what we want about each other’s abilities, about who tapped out to what and about who’s better than who but here’s the real deal. Whoever is placed first or second between us…we are STILL the two greatest professional wrestlers of all time. I hope you have the same…class I’ve shown tonight. Then again…I am…the best there is, the best there was…and the best there ever will be! Rating: B+ Inter-brand, Non-title: Smackdown’s CM Punk vs. Raw’s Intercontinental Champion Kenny Dykstra vs. This could’ve been a bit better, but for a 6 minute filler match, it was acceptable. Punk can do better with a more popular opponent, so this shouldn’t be a concern. Dykstra was in control for the first few minutes, until Punk hit a bulldog out of nowhere to gain the advantage. He started to build momentum, hitting the Go to Sleep in the 5th minute. Just as this happened, Randy Orton and Mike Tyson leaped the barrier and charged into the ring and took out Punk with stereo chair shots. The challenger falls to the mat, getting the DQ win. Orton and Tyson flash ex-Corporation member Dykstra a glance, before walking right past him up the ramp. Winner at 5:57 CM Punk Rating: B Chuck Palumbo vs. Samoan Seanoa vs. This was average, not getting that great a reaction. It only lasted a shade over 5 minutes, coming to an abrupt end when Palumbo hit a Super Kick for the win. Winner at 5:04 Chuck Palumbo Rating: C+ Shawn Michaels’ music hits, and HBK dances to the ring in his own attire. HBK: Okay, it’s time to be serious. I’ve got a match, up next, against two members of The Corporation. It’s Umaga and Johnny Nitro against…the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels and a partner of his choosing. So, the question on everyone’s mind is “who the hell has HBK chosen?” Well, I narrowed the list to a few, and I’d like to get your thoughts, if you don’t mind! Ok, first the ECW contenders! Ahem! Does anybody want to see HBK team up with…Sonjay Bhalla *no reaction*? Okay…Stevie Richards *slightly more of a reaction*? What about, once again, HBK and Kane *this gets a decent pop!*? Interesting, interesting. Time to give the guys on Smackdown a shout out! What about…D’Lo Brooooooown? I guess not, huh? Well, that sucks. Funaki? Scotty 2 Hotty? Okay, okay…Rey Mysterio?! *This gets a very big pop* Well, that’s great. At the moment, it’s either Kane…or Rey Mysterio. Could they be any more different? Geeze…I mean, you can see Kane’s face! Anyway, onto the roster right here on Raw! Hoooooooooooooooo…no? No Jim Duggan? Ok then! How about Goldust? What, he’s not here anymore? But I thought Dust- oh! They don’t know that’s hi…oooooh. Dammit. Sorry guys. Erm, Goldust isn’t eligible, he’s not with us anymore! Ok, how about Val Venis? *incredible pop!* That’s all well and good, but I’ve decided to make an executive decision myself! My partner will not be any of these individuals. Ladies and gentlemen…are you ready? JR: My God! It’s DX’s entrance music…and good lord! It’s The Game! The Game’s back! King, he’s back! Triple H has returned, tonight live on Monday Night Raw! Good God, he’s returning tonight, DX are back and HBK and Triple H will be teaming up once again! Rating: A Triple H gets in the ring, and the two men high-five. They get into the centre of the ring and do the crotch chop, complete with green pyro! Triple H climbs to the top rope and bows to the crowd, who are going insane. He gets a mic. Triple H: …are you ready? No…I said, for the first time since December 2006…ARE YOU READY?! Then…for the thousands in attendance…for the millions watching it home…and for the poor gentleman receiving a Pedigree in the next contest…leeeeeeet’s get ready to SUCK IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! HBK: And if you’re not down with that…the returning D-Generation X has just two…words…for ya! Crowd: Suck it! Rating: B Umaga and Johnny Nitro make their way to the ring, and Triple H can make his long-awaited return to the ring. & vs. & Shawn Michaels and Johnny Nitro start off the match, trading holds. Nitro isolates HBK for a couple of minutes, and then tags in Umaga who just batters Michaels. After being kept away from his partner for nearly 4 minutes, HBK hits a running forearm on both men, sending them both to the mat. He kips up and lunges forward tagging Triple H in. The Game charges at both men, taking them out with huge clotheslines, before hitting a perfect Spinebuster on Nitro that shakes the ring. Umaga gets his face smashed into Triple H’s knee. Trips hits a Spinebuster on the Samoan Bulldozer, before hitting a great DDT on Nitro. Michaels gets into the ring and tunes up the band. He hits the Sweet Chin Music on Umaga, who staggers into a Pedigree! HBK tunes up again, dances across the ring…into a Spinebuster! Triple H picks up his ‘partner’ and hits a brutal Pedigree. Nitro makes the cover and that is that! Winners at 11:52 Johnny Nitro and Umaga Rating: B Nitro and Umaga have left the ring, and Triple H is circling HBK, almost as if he’s stalking his prey. Michaels gets to his feet, but collapses and falls back down. The King of Kings slip out of the ring and lifts up the canvas bringing out…the sledgehammer! The crowd boos Triple H, who just laughs and gets back into the ring. He shouts to Shawn that he “should never have trusted” him, and that he always turns on his friends at some point. HBK is on his knees, and then flat on his back after being hit full-on in the face with the hammer. Triple H lifts Michaels up and hits another Pedigree, leaving him face-down in the middle of the squared circle. Rating: B The Undertaker vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho vs. vs. This was predictably incredible, adding to the many classic encounters WWE has booked thus far this year. It went on for nearly 14 minutes, and all three men got in a lot of offence and looked strong. It was a brilliant, almost legendary, contest, despite Edge being off his game. It didn’t really show, and in a shock ending, Jericho hit Edge with a huge Running Enziguri. Instead of going for the pin, he went to a grounded Undertaker and locked in the Walls of Jericho. After struggling for half a minute, Taker tapped out! Winner at 13:39 Chris Jericho Rating: A* Jericho starts to celebrate his win, but is taken out from behind by…Umaga! The Samoan Bulldozer hits Y2J with a big punch to the back of the head. Edge is standing now, and he joins the onslaught. Umaga drapes Jericho in the corner and goes to the opposite side of the side. He runs, but is stopped in his tracks as notices The Undertaker sit up! Taker grabs him and Edge by the throat, but they both kick him in the gut and go for a Double DDT, only to be stopped by Jericho. Y2J and the Dead Man gain the advantage and start to pummel Umaga and the Rated R Superstar. Taker hits a high Chokeslam on Edge to the outside, followed by a fantastic Last Ride on Umaga. Rating: B+ Non-title: WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion Randy Orton vs. Ric Flair vs. This was a brilliant match, despite not reaching the 10-minute mark. Orton and Flair went all-out for a great match and this will definitely go down in history. In the 8th minute, Flair accidentally hit the referee, knocking him out. Randy hit an RKO, and went to go for the cover. With the ref still down, CM Punk ran to the ring and pulled Orton off Flair. He helped him to his feet, but then hit the Go To Sleep…on the Nature Boy! He looks down and apologises to Ric, before hitting Orton with it too, and draping the champ over the legend. The ref comes to and counts to 3! Orton wins thanks to CM Punk! Winner at 8:56 Randy Orton Rating: A* After the match, Orton slips out of the ring. CM Punk immediately gets in and checks on Flair. Ric gets to his feet, and the Straight Edge Superstar says something to the Nature Boy. Flair smiles and nods, shakes Punk’s hand and leaves the ring laughing at Orton, nodding his head. Punk and Orton both have mikes now! Orton: What the hell was that about? Why did you do that?! You just helped me beat Ric F- Punk: Exactly! It will go down in history that yes, just before the Great American Bash, you defeated Ric Flair…after interference from CM Punk! I just wanted to see your reaction…I now I know what I was wondering. You really do have pride. Not only do you want to win, you want to win through your own means, or through Tyson’s. You don’t want any UNWANTED interference…pity. Orton: Look, why can’t you be a MAN! You could have attacked me- Punk: Did I really hit you that hard? I sent both of you to sleep, just to get in your head. You beat Flair…but you were unconscious. Guess who was standing tall? The Straight Edge Superstar…CM Punk! Rating: B+ FINAL RATING: B+ Success Triple H doesn’t really have a lot of momentum since his return. WWE have apparently made the decision to include him on all three brands in the run up to the Great American Bash, in an attempt to give him plenty of wins to build him back up.

Pre-show: Triple H vs. Sonjay Bhalla For the first minute of this match, it wasn’t really a squash! Bhalla got some offence in, until just as we got to 1:25, H hit a Spinebuster, followed by a Pedigree. He beat Sonjay up for about 30 seconds, targeting the legs. Triple H locked in the Inverted Indian Deathlock just before the 2 minute mark, and in a matter of seconds Bhalla tapped out. Winner at 2:01 Triple H Rating: D+ Styles: Welcome one and all to Extreme Championship Wrestling, I’m Joey Styles and I’m of course joined by Tazz at ringside. Styles: It’s non-title, but regardless this is a huge chance. If Burchill can get the win, it will surely elevate his career ten-fold with a win over the Ultimate Wrestling Champ! Orton started the match strong, but Burchill had a period of offence from the 2nd to the 4th minute. It was a very even contest, until a sudden RKO put Burchill down for the count. Winner at 6:16 Randy Orton Rating: B Vince McMahon’s music hits and the Chairman of WWE makes his way to the ring, walking like only he does. Now Kane, have you read over the contract? Good. So, you know that signing this makes you an ECW-specific talent. Just the way it turned out this week. I'm trying to make ECW equal, but it's proving difficult because there's so many wrestlers to get on the show. This week was just quite loaded. Thanks for the predictions anyway, any comments on the diary in general?
Yeah man your doing good providing good storylines for 3 shows a week.I feel I'm doing for 5 shows a week.
I've generally not actually found it that bad, especially with 2 main event title scenes rather than 3. I'm just booking the few shows before Cyber Sunday and that's been hell though! The way the PPV schedule is, I've had 2 weeks to build up about 6 matches, all with 3 choices each (be it opponent, stipulation etc), and it's just been ridiculous cramming it into 2 weeks!

They went for nearly 9 minutes, ending in controversial fashion. MVP went to grab a chair, and Danielson saw this, grabbing one of his own. They both swung from opposite directions, knocking each other out and drawing the double DQ. Thank you Teddy, thank you! Sorry kid, guess you don’t cut it in the big le- Long: Hold up now Montel, I wasn’t finished. I was simply making a dramatic pause. At the Great America Bash it WILL be Brian Kendrick defending his title against MVP…AND Bryan Danielson in a Triple Threat Match! Holla, holla, holla! Rating: C WWE Tag Team Title Match: WWE Tag Tam Champions London and Kendrick vs. Deuce ‘n’ Domino & vs. & This was decent enough for what it was, and it lasted nearly 8 minutes. Kendrick once again looked good, but it was London who got the pin on Deuce after a Get Well Soon. Winners at 7:42 and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions London and Kendrick Rating: C- Kendrick and London celebrate. London leaves the ring and heads out, leaving Brian there to hold both his Tag Team and United States titles high. He’s celebrating when suddenly MVP jumps the barrier and clubs him in the back of the head! Porter starts to beat him down, and then delivers a Playmaker. He mounts Kendrick and starts to punch him, but before much more damage can be done, the US Champ is saved by…Bryan Danielson. Danielson, Kendrick’s other opponent at the Bash, saves the champion and sends Montel running. Rating: C Booker T vs. Chris Masters vs. Booker T looked good in this match that could’ve been better, but could’ve been a lot worse too. Masters has no momentum, so the fans were as into it as they could be. It was surprisingly open, ending 7 minutes in when Booker hit the Scissors Kick for the win. Winner at 7:02 Booker T Rating: C- We cut backstage, where Triple H and Batista and talking quietly. Orton walks in. Orton: Hey Hunter, Dave. Look, tonight in the main event, we’ve got CM Punk…Christian…and Shawn Michaels. Sure, they have some talent and a bit of experience…but they are NOTHING compared to Evolution. We have learnt from the past, from the great Nature Boy Ric Flair. Triple H, you have been the recent past and are most definitely the PRESENT face of pro wrestling. Dave, man, you are the present too. Me…I’m the current WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion! I’ve held the IC title, the Tag Team titles…I’ve even held the now defunct World Heavyweight Championship. With our experience- a combined 13 World Title reigns- we will win. With our power, we’ll win. Gentlemen…they have about 7 reigns. That is all. Dave, Hunter…let’s go out there tonight…and show the world why Evolution is STILL something that no-one can escape. Rating: B+ Non-title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Jack Styles vs. William Regal vs. This was an average match, which is a miracle. It was clear that these two don’t click at all, but also Styles was really off his game. Somehow, they went nearly 10 minutes and dragged out a passable contest that ended when the champ tapped out to a Regal Stretch. Winner at 9:39 William Regal Rating: C We cut backstage again, where John Cena is standing by. Cena: Yo, yo, yo- tonight I’m not gonna spit any rhymes. Look, I most definitely have a challenge ahead of me. Rey Mysterio and Ken Kennedy are both phenomenal athletes and wrestlers…but I’m just a better fighter. I can kick ass like no other, and tonight you will witness it. Ruthless aggression is the name of the game- no mercy, just all-out, balls-to-the-wall fighting. You two will NOT get the better of me tonight. I know what you’re gonna say- John Cena is all talk. I say you two are all hype- neither of you can get the job done, and Rey…if you don’t win tonight, how about you have to take the mask off? I know, I know- I should put something up too, but you’re meant to be a fighter Rey, you’re meant to have spirit. Prove it. Rating: B+ Ric Flair arrives backstage in a limo. Triple H and Orton are waiting. Flair: Look, we respect each other as wrestlers, no doubt about it. Evolution was the greatest group in the history of our business. I may not agree with actions you’ve made so far this year, but the fact is I was a part of this group. I disagree with some things you’ve done, like I said, so I won’t be managing you tonight. However…the Smackdown Announce Table will get a make-over for one night only, when the Nature Boy commentates on the main event! Woooooooooo! Cole: Wow, that’s awesome! So, Ric Flair will be joining us for the Main Event, but up next it’s a Triple Threat Match. Rey Mysterio is taking on Ken Kennedy and John Cena, and I have news that Mysterio has accepted Cena’s proposal- if Rey doesn’t win this next match, he has to unmask! Rating: B+ John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Ken Kennedy vs. vs. It wasn’t terrible, but it had the potential to be a lot better. It lasted a good quarter of an hour though, and kept the fans happy. The conclusion made them even happier, with Mysterio pinning Cena with a West Coast Pop, keeping his mask! Winner at 15:44 Rey Mysterio Rating: B- Woooooooooo! Ric Flair struts down the ramp and round the ring to the announce table, taking his place next to Bradshaw. Rating: B+ Evolution vs. CM Punk, Christian and Shawn Michaels && vs. && This, like the previous match, had the potential to be so much more. On a night where everything was just a bit less than it could’ve been, this was more of the same. It lasted nearly half an hour though without boring the fans, which is something at least. Triple H hit the Pedigree on Christian for the win. Winners at 26:42 Evolution Rating: B FINAL RATING: C+ tom_wk: 2/5 ADeezy62: 1/5 tom_wk wins for Smackdown, getting 1 point. Weekly Standings: ADeezy62: 2 Jaded: 1 tom_wk: 1 I'll post the preview for Raw in a bit, any comments?
