WWE: Time To Play The Game...for now...

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the response, glad you liked the Hogan/Umaga ending. I'm really trying to build Umaga up a lot, whilst keeping him as a heel (hence the pre-match attacks). One of the main things I made sure of when I signed Hogan was that he didn't have the creative control cause. Not entirely realistc, but ah well. And yeah, the signings have all come in at once, but trust me- whilst they're going to be on the shows, they won't be getting huge pushes right away.

We’re gonna kick things off right away with a Number One Contenders Match for the Cruiserweight Championship! Gregory Helms vs. Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Jamie Noble vs. vs. The match was better than expected, the crowd reacted quite well. Cole’s commentary wasn’t great, however, and it showed. He didn’t really know what half the moves were called. The ending came just over 7 minutes in; Noble hit Helms with a Tigerbomb. Wang Yang came in from behind, dropkicked Noble over the top rope and then hit a standing moonsault on Helms for the win! Winner at 7:27 and new Number One Contender Jimmy Wang Yang! Rating: C- Cole: Well, partner, that was one hell of a match, we just saw some brilliant cruiserweight action. Later on tonight we’ve got a real dream match for our main event! (C) vs. TONIGHT! JBL: That’s right Michael, we’ve got a United States Title match between Chris Benoit and William Regal! These guys are such brilliant in-ring technicians that this will be such a pleasure to watch! Rating: C+ The next match is a Cruiserweight Title Match between Chavo Guerrero and Shannon Moore. (C) vs. Not a great match, the opener was much better. This was more of a squash match really though, Chavo picking up a quick win and retaining the title. Winner at 1:57 and still Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero Rating: D+ Scotty 2 Hotty makes his way to the ring to a big pop. When he gets in the ring, he points at JBL and applauds his efforts last week, then laughs. JBL: What the hell does that punk think he’s doing! He got damn lucky last week, that’s all! If I was still active- Cole: Well you’re not, John! Rey Mysterio forced you into retirement and here you are! You got beat fair and square last week by that man, Scotty 2 Hotty and tonight he’s got a chance to continue his streak against the Fighting Irishman Finlay! Scotty: You all now that last week the Worm beat the Money! That’s right; the definite underdog Scotty 2 Hotty beat John “Bradshaw Layfield, 1-2-3! I’m not here to gloat though…tonight I carry on winning every match I’m put against. I beat a former tag team and WWE champion last week. I’m about to face a true legend of the British Wrestling scene, a former champion himself. Here he is…Finlay! Rating: C+ Finlay makes his entrance and the match gets underway! vs. These two work really well together and it really lifted the match. Although not exceptional, it was better than last week’s effort. A fairly open contest, Scotty 2 Hotty picked up the huge win after a Top Rope Bulldog and then The Worm! Winner at 7:53 Scotty 2 Hotty Rating: C+ We cut backstage to the office of Theodore Long, and Funaki enters. Long: Hey player! Now, I got some news for you! Tonight, I’m putting you…in a Fatal Four Way! Ya hear me? The winner will get to choose their number in this Sunday’s Royal Rumble! Good look out there and holla, holla, holla! Rating: C- The next match is the Fatal Four Way and the winner gets to choose their number in the Royal Rumble match. It’s Kane vs. The Boogeyman vs. Funaki vs. Montel Vontavious Porter! vs. vs. vs. The match wasn’t great but it was decent enough for a midcard match. Funaki actually got some quick offence in towards the beginning, but he was taken out by a huge Chokeslam over the top rope by Kane. He looked hurt and was taken backstage by medical staff. At around 10:30 Kane hit a huge double Chokeslam on MVP and Boogeyman, pinning Boogey for the win! Winner at 10:44 Kane! (Now has the right to pick his own number for the Royal Rumble) Rating: C Backstage after the match, Kristal is ready to interview the winner of the last match, Kane. Kristal: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome my guest at this time, the Big Red Machine Kane! Now, Kane, you just beat Funaki, MVP and The Boogeyman in a brutal Fatal Four Way and now you can choose your entrance number for the Royal Rumble match this Sunday. I guess my only question really is…what number have you chosen? Kane: I want a challenge and I want to have the most decisive Rumble victory of all time. I’m going to be at the very start of the Road to Wrestlemania…I’m entering at number 1. Rating: B Up next is a huge 6-man tag match, as the WWE Champion John Cena teams up with Brian Kendrick and Paul London to take on Ken Kennedy and the WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce ‘n’ Domino. && vs. & 'n' The match was relatively poor, because neither of the team’s “big stars” could really carry the match. However, it served its purpose, which was the continuation of the Tag Team feud, whilst leaving the possibility of a Cena/Kennedy feud open (although no groundwork was laid). The ending came when Kendrick his Domino with a Sliced Bread No. 2. Winners at 15:07 John Cena, Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Rating: C- After the match, the winners are still in the ring, with the losers near the stage. JBL gets into the ring with a mic. JBL[/]: I’ve just been informed by our General Manger Theodore Long that you boys are now the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles. Also, up next my…well, understudy I guess Michael Cole is going to interview Hulk Hogan! Rating: C- Cole gets into the ring and introduces Hogan, who looks to have healed from Monday’s beating at the hands of Umaga. Cole: Well, Hulk. Thanks for coming on the show tonight. First things first, how are you feeling after the vicious attacks from Umaga Monday Night on Raw? Before Hogan can answer, Batista’s music hits and The Animal makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. As soon as he gets into the ring he spears Hogan and strikes him with several right hands. He then hits a Spinebuster and then a Batista Bomb, before taking Cole’s mic. Batista: You’re next Hogan! Rating: B+ Up next is our Main Event, as Chris Benoit defends his WWE United States Championship against William Regal! (C) vs. The match wasn’t as good as it could have been, but it was the best showing of the night. The two put on a decent spectacle, but it was more of a “wrestling” match rather than a “sports entertainment” match, and that may have hurt its reaction. The ending came when Dave Taylor distracted the ref. Suddenly, John Cena ran to the ring. Instead of helping Benoit, however, he hit him with an FU before flipping Benoit and the fans the bird and sliding quickly out of the ring. Regal, seeing the interference went for a quick cover and stole the title. Winner at 22:32 and new WWE United States Champion William Regal Rating: B- FINAL RATING: C+ OOC: Feedback etc. welcome.

Wow great i really loved those last 2 shows sadly thats all i read hopefully i got the time to read rest tommorow.I guess thats means we will see John Cena as a Heel? or just a Storyline with Benoit? Raw was great i think it had a WWE feel with the attack and then right at the end Undertaker taking the win.GIVE SHELTON BENJAMIN A GOOD PUSH LOL.Take him off Haas and give him I.C Title for a while lol. ECW You must have got rid of it but bring it back and put Shelton on it and make T.V Title for him to win just give him a title. Thanks for reading. Yeah, Cena's a heel now, you'll just have to see how it pans out over the next couple of weeks to see where I'm going with it. :p Glad you enjoyed Raw, I'm going to post this week's tomorrow, you should like it. Also, I've not got rid of ECW but to be honest I have no idea what to do with it, I might actually put some effort into it starting this week hehe. Anyway, this will continue, I've booked Raw and ECW already, and Raw is formatted, it's just a case of putting pics in, which shouldn't take too long.

i like it man, i now how hard it is to start storylines and i think when you fully up and running on that front the show will be top draw, i like having eric back and with Taker and Cena swapping it is a great chance to see some dream matches before Wrestlemania rolls into town, just wondering what the winner of the royal rumble is going to get as his prize???

I’m JR Jim Ross with Jerry “The King” Lawler at ringside. We’re gonna kick things off in a huge way with a World Tag Team Title Match. It’s gonna be the Hardys defending their titles against Cryme Tyme and the one-night-only team of Goldust and Christopher Daniels, unless of course they win the titles! The Title match opens the show. & (C) vs. & vs. & The match was quite good, although Daniels’ pop was almost non-existent, aside from the whole 20 people in the arena who’d seen his previous work. The Hardys dominated most of the match, with Daniels doing the job and taking the most hits. It ended in nearly 10 minutes, after Matt hit Daniels with a Twist of Fate, followed by a Swanton Bomb by his brother. Winners at 9:49 and still World Tag Team Champions The Hardys! Rating: C – Shane McMahon comes to the ring. Shane: Alright, shut up and show me respect. Not only am I the son of the Chairman and CEO of this company, I’m also the Intercontinental Champ. I am, right now, the money! Someone seems not to understand that. Last week, Y2J Chris Jericho complained about the state of this company, this company my father built, and called it a disgrace that I was champion. Well, Chris…how about you make your return. Get down here right now and I’ll tell you who you’re facing. Jericho walks to the ring. Just as he gets in... Umaga, The Great Khali and debuting worker Samoan Seanoa leap the crowd barrier and beat him down. Shane: Well Chris. That was fun, wasn’t it punk? Tonight you’re facing Shawn Michaels and there’s no chance in hell that you’re gonna win. I know Shawn doesn’t want to fight you, but I don’t care. There’s another returning force in wrestling and we’re taking back control. Ladies and gentlemen…the boys in the back…JR…King…everyone watching all over the world…Chris Jericho…I give to you…The Corporation! The four men raise their arms in unison, then leave the ring and get chairs to watch the next match (with the exception of Khali, who heads backstage) Rating: C+ Val Venis heads to the ring. He waits for his first opponent in the Triple Threat match, but instead Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas come out, together, and are announced as his opponents (although the match is still a triple threat). vs. vs. The main story of the match was that Benjamin and Haas are annoyed at Val’s run recently and were just trying to double team and beat him, regardless of who picked up the pinfall. He was dominated for a good 3 minutes, before mounting a comeback and pinning Haas with a Money Shot nearly 7 minutes in. Shelton looked angry when he saw the pinfall, but still helped Haas to the back. Winner at 6:40 Val Venis Rating: C+ After the ring has cleared, Shane, Umaga and Samoan Seanoa get back in, Shane with a mic in hand. Shane: That was a good match boys, but I’m going to have to bring the attention back to me and The Corporation. Now, last week Y2J Chris Jericho, the returning legend, laid down a challenge…of sorts. I know he didn’t directly challenge me, but he still said he would become IC Champion and that me holding this title was a disgrace to the business. Well, to me that sounds like fighting talk. As you all know, Shane O’Mac is a fighting champion and I don’t just talk, I back it up. That’s why, Chris Jericho, you have a match with me for this Intercontinental Championship…on one condition. At the Royal Rumble you have to beat the team of…Samoan Seanoa and Umaga! Rating: B+ We cut backstage where The Coach is waiting with Carlito. Coach: Please welcome my guest at this time, Carlito. Carlito, in a few minutes you’re going one-on-one with a new Raw signing, rookie Jack Styles. What are your thoughts? Carlito: My thoughts? He’s nobody, just like all these fans. He says his name is Jack Styles…he hasn’t got any style! He’s not cool, and I’m going to kick his ass to prove it. Coach: Well ladies and gentlemen, that might just happen in a few moments, as that match is next! Rating: C No-one aside from the Daniels’ marks in the opening match has heard of Jack Styles, but Carlito gets a decent pop. vs. The match itself was short but by no means a squash. Styles got in a few high-risk moves, until he went for a Springboard DDT. Carlito moved out of the way, leaving Jack on his feet looking disorientated. He quickly spun him around and hit the Cool Cutter for the pin. Winner at 2:31 Carlito Rating: C Ric Flair makes his way to the ring before his match with Umaga. Instead of Umaga’s music hitting, the crowd hears… No Chance! [IMG][/IMG] Umaga, Kenny Dykstra and Johnny Nitro walk out and are introduced as the Corporation! JR: My God! Shane really has a load of back-up, but why are Dykstra and Nitro here? Our IC Champ doesn’t need to take out Flair, it was Jericho who made the challenge! Flair’s just been booked in this match, he’s not intentionally getting in the way! As soon as they get into the ring, the trio beat down Flair brutally. Firstly, Umaga hits the legend with the Samoan Spike, before Nitro hits the Corkscrew Splash. Then, Kenny hits a highly athletic leg drop, followed by a huge splash by Umaga. Suddenly, there’s some commotion in the crowd, as someone jumps the barrier… Lawler: It’s Shawn Michaels! The Heartbreak Kid is here to stop this beating from getting any worse! What a clothesline, sending Nitro over the rope and… JR: Sweet Chin Music! Michaels hits Kenny Dykstra with the superkick, and quickly leaves the ring. The bells been rung and now the singles match between Ric Flair and Umaga can begin! Rating: B- The match gets underway. Like Umaga’s past two efforts, this match was brilliant. Ric Flair sold his injuries well, not really getting much offence in until half way through the match, when Estrada distracted the referee, to give the advantage to Umaga, but Flair hit the low blow instead. He began to build momentum, but eventually Estrada got back up on the apron, distracting Flair momentarily. Ric turned right into a Samoan Spike which brought an end to a match between two workers that definitely bring out the best in each other. Rating: B+ A music video is shown to promote John Cena. Rating: B+ The camera cuts back to the ring, where Rated RKO’s music is just finishing, with the duo standing in the ring with a mic each. Orton: Well, I did it! I’ve got my high profile match at the Royal Rumble. After last week, Mr Bischoff has guaranteed me a huge match and I can’t wait to win it! I mean, you all saw it last week. Edge and I brutalised The Undertaker. Sure, we may have lost, but that’s because we’re smart! Edge: That’s right! ‘Taker got a lucky win, but that was only because we let him! Mr Bischoff has given my pal Randy here a big chance tonight. Regardless of the result of the rematch from last week, he’s still got a massive match next Sunday. However, when we beat The Undertaker tonight, it’s official- the Royal Rumble 2007…non-title…The Undertaker…versus…Randy Orton! I’d say that totally reeks of awesomeness! Orton: Erm…yeah. Anyway, I just want to say thank you, Edge. I mean, you wanted a match with Cena at the Royal Rumble, but he was switched with The Undertaker and is now on Smackdown. You, being the graceful, kind-hearted, selfless guy you are didn’t choose to go for ‘Taker. No, no, no. You left him for me to destroy in a couple of weeks and I’m going to enjoy doing it! Rating: A The next match is Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho. Before the match begins, Shawn is seen mouthing something that looks like an apology for the match taking place. Then, the two shake hands and the bell is rung. vs. The match was as awesome as expected, with both guys giving the fans a true spectacle. They went for nearly 15 minutes, which was full of near-falls, big bumps and technical wrestling. The ending came when both stars were on the top rope, Jericho with his back to the ring. Michaels managed to stun Chris, and quickly jumped onto the apron, then delivering a huge Sweet Chin Music, sending Jericho to the mat. He then climbed back onto the top rope and hit a massive Diving Elbow for the win. Winner at 13:59 Shawn Michaels Rating: A After the match, Shawn helps Jericho to his feet and the pair raise each others hands, applauding each other’s efforts. Rating: B+ The next match is our main event and it’s a rematch from last week, as Rated RKO team up against the World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker! & vs. The Undertaker was heavily bandaged after the pre-match beating handed to him by Orton and Edge last week and his injuries seemed to hurt him more in this match than the last. He managed to put up a big fight for around 6 minutes, but eventually the numbers game was too much for the champ. ‘Taker nearly won 10 minutes win when he hit Randy Orton with a Last Ride. Just as he went for the pin, the referee was distracted by Edge on the outside, who was apparently nursing a serious injury gained a few moments earlier. With the referee’s back turned, Orton hit The Undertaker with a low blow and then dropped to his knees holding his own groin, implying that he’d been hit. The referee went to check on Orton, and Edge took his chance to hit ‘Taker with the World Heavyweight Championship, then pick up the win. Rating: B Final Rating: B

I've got about 6 planned, then the Rumble itself. Details will be posted in due time, still got a few more points in the storylines to develop. All that's been announced so far IIRC (and I should do, it's my dynasty :o ) is the Orton/Taker match and Umaga and Samoan Seanoa vs. Jericho.

John Cena vs. Chris Benoit (15-minute time limit)- Last week John Cena cost Chris Benoit his United States Title in a match with William Regal. Benoit gets a shot at revenge in this 15-minute time limit match, but the real question is how the fans will respond to John Cena, just 7 days after he flipped them off and turned his back on them.

I’m Michael Cole with John “Bradshaw” Layfield and John, what a show we’ve got tonight. JBL: That’s right Michael, tonight’s Smackdown looks set to be the best in history and we’re gonna kick things off backstage, where the tag champs are waiting to discuss their match with London and Kendrick at the Royal Rumble. Deuce: So last week JBL, possibly the greatest commentator of all time, announced that Paul London and Brian Kendrick have been made the number one contenders to our tag team titles. I gotta be honest... you ain’t gonna win! You don’t really know how things are done on our sides of the tracks, but what you can be sure of is this- you won’t like it! Domino: That’s right, we’re just gonna be in your face, smash-mouth, no holding back! All it’ll take is a crack in the mouth and bam! 1-2-3, still tag team champs…you ‘n’ me, Deuce ‘n’ Domino! The team continue talking and Kendrick and London sneak in behind them. Kendrick puts his finger to his lips and urges the crowd to be quiet. The crowd sees them doing something behind their back, then quickly tip-toeing away. Deuce: So it doesn’t matter if you use your speed, because strength will always beat speed! The lion will beat the antelope! It’s the circle of life boys and yours’ will end at the Royal Rumble! Deuce ‘n’ Domino turn to walk away and the fans see a “Kick Me” sign on Domino’s back and an arrow pointing to Domino reading “I’m With Stupid” on Deuce’s. Rating: C Chris Benoit’s music hits, and the crowd go insane, cheering for the Rabid Wolverine. However, it is actually John Cena who steps out of the back dressed as Benoit. Cena: (reading a sheet of paper) I am Chris Benoit…and…I am 4 Real! I was in Extreme Champi…Champion…Chammionship…CHAMPIONSHIP Wrestling. I won a World Heavyweight Title at Wrestlemania…twen…twan…twont…twenty! Cena throws the paper to the mat. Cena: Well, Chris you got no charisma. Last week I helped Regal to beat ya! Your bark’s a lot worse than your bite, hell. I’m not surprised that he beat you and took your title! Here I am, easily cutting a rap. But hearing you on the mic is enough to make anyone tap! These fans are fickle- now they hate me, it’s true! Not long ago they were cheering, but now I wanna say FU! The two teams went at it, with the fans totally against Regal after Cena helped him get the US Title off Benoit last week. It was a simple match, with Kendrick and London having spells of attack, only to be thwarted by the cheating tactics of the tough Englishmen. Eventually, London hit a springboard Shooting Star Press onto the outside, taking out Regal. Kendrick hit the Get Well Soon on Taylor and picked up the big win for his team. Winners at 5:47 London and Kendrick Rating: C- We cut backstage, where General Manager Theodore Long is in his office, with The Boogeyman, Finlay and Montel Vontavious Porter. Long: Look, gentlemen. I know you all want a shot at the new United States Champion, but I can’t give you all a match with Regal. What I can do is put you three in a match at the Royal Rumble! The winner of that match will go one-on-one with William Regal for the US Title! Ya feel me? MVP: Teddy! That’s crap! I’m Smackdown’s most valuable star, I’m the MVP of Friday nights! I deserve a shot next week here on Smackdown, not a number one contenders match with a freak who eats worms…WORMS TEDDY! And then there’s the Irishman who hangs around with a kid who dresses up as a leprechaun. Both these men should be in jail, Teddy! Finlay: Shut your damn mouth! I’m a tough Irish bastard and at the Royal Rumble I’m gonna kick your scrawny arse all the way back to prison, you silly bitch. Rating: C+ We cut back to the ring, where Scotty 2 Hotty’s music is just finishing, with Scotty standing in the ring with a mic. Scotty: Tonight I carry it on, for all of my Hotties! We will continue our streak tonight, when I pin and beat Gregory Helms. He turned his back on all of you, killing The Hurricane and become an arrogant, ****y, pitiful man. I wouldn’t do that, and tonight I’m going to win for you! And you! And you too! Rating: C vs. Gregory Helms makes his entrance and their match is underway. An average match, it was more of a means to an end, continuing Scotty’s winning streak to get him over. Gregory Helms still got a lot of offence in, however, nearly hitting the Shining Wizard, which Scotty luckily dodged. Moments later, Helms was on the mat looking up at the lights. One worm and a three-count later, the former Three-Count member was beaten by Scotty 2 Hotty. Winner at 8:10 Scotty 2 Hotty Rating: C- Scotty is celebrating his win. He starts to do the Worm again, in celebration. As soon as he reaches an upright position, his head is nearly taken off by a clothesline by… Chavo Guerrero! The Cruiserweight Champion begins laying into Hotty with stomps to the head, then unloading with punches. With Scotty on the floor in a bloody heap, Guerrero hits a Gory Bomb onto a steel chair, then rolls him onto the announce table. A ladder’s pulled out and set up by Chavo, and then the Cruiserweight Champ hit a Frog Splash through the table. Rating: C- We cut backstage, where Funaki is walking down the corridor. Suddenly, he’s attacked from behind by Batista. He hits a Spinebuster into the wall, giving the fans a reminder of last week. All of a sudden, just as Funaki is on his hands and knees... Kennedy runs in and kicks him in the gut, before choking him with a camera cable that’s conveniently nearby. Funaki’s then lifted to his feet by the two, and hit with a running low blow by… Christian! Christian makes his return in despicable fashion, attacking a defenceless man. He hits the Unprettier onto the concrete floor, leaving Funaki out cold, seriously harming his chances of even making the match later tonight. Rating: B- Up next, Montel Vontavious Porter goes one-on-one with Shannon Moore! vs. This match was, essentially, a squash match. MVP took the fight right to the former WCW Hardcore Champion, not giving him room to breath. Less than 4 minutes in, MVP hit the Ballin’ Elbow on the cruiserweight, picking up a predictable but dominant win. Winner at 3:36 Montel Vontavious Porter Rating: C- The 6-man tag match is next. Batista makes his entrance first, to a chorus of boos. Next is Kennedy, getting a mixed reaction, with some smarks cheering for him. Christian makes his in-ring return to Smackdown, to the same reaction he got before he left- mainly getting booed, aside from the same smarks who cheered for Kennedy. Their opponents make their way to the ring, Hogan getting booed by the vast majority of the crowd! Kane got a decent reaction, and Funaki got a big pop as he hobbled down the ring with a bandage around his stomach. && vs. && The match was quite good, with all 6 men performing quite well. Christian got in a lot of offence, including an Unprettier on Funaki. Moments after this, Kennedy hit the Green Bay Plunge on Kane, followed by a Spinebuster from Batista to Hogan, then the win (although Hogan did get his foot on the bottom rope). Winners at 13:41 Christian, Ken Kennedy and Batista. Rating: B- After celebrating their when, the trio begin to leave. Just as he’s getting out of the ring, Batista turns and sees Kane struggling to his feet. He charges, knocking the Big Red Machine down with a huge spear, before battering him with over 20 chair shorts. He then grabs a mic and says “Kane…you’re next” Rating: A The main event is next, and it’s WWE Champion John Cena vs. Chris Benoit, with a fifteen minute time limit. vs. Chris Benoit went straight to Cena, not only angered by Cena’s costing him the US Title against William Regal last week, but also by Cena’s comments earlier in the show. The match was quite good for a free match, but Cena didn’t really come up with anything special. Cena hit the FU at the end, but the time limit expired before he could make the cover. John Cena drew with Chris Benoit in 15:00 when the time limit expired. Rating: B- After the bell rings to signify the end of the match, US Champion William Regal runs to the ring. Cena and Regal beat down Benoit, with the WWE Champ hitting a second FU, followed by a right hand with the brass knuckles from the United States Champion. Cena beings laying into Benoit with a series of kicks. The fans show their outrage, and Cole shouts about how despicable these two men are. Regal pulls out 2 spray cans from under the ring, and the pair proceed to spray Benoit’s back yellow. Regal: We are fighting champions, and will take on all comers. You can’t beat either of us, which is exactly why you’re not the US Champion any more, you sad, sad man. Cena: I know the past weeks have hurt, you’ve been beaten hard! We’ve just proved, Chris…you’re just a cowardly, yellow bastard! Rating: B FINAL RATING: B-

Monday Night Raw Pre-show: Jack Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. The match showed promise, with most fans giving the talent the right reaction. This was actually good enough to be on the main show, but time constraints forced it off the main card. Styles got the win just over 5 and a half minutes in with the Styles Clash. Winner at 5:41 Jack Styles C Main show: Bischoff: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Monday Night Raw. As you may have heard, Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel have passed away. Despite the horrific circumstances surrounding their deaths, we here in the WWE feel the need to pay tribute to Chris Benoit the wrestler, and Nancy and Daniel. That tribute show will be a three-hour special on Tuesday. Tonight, however, the show will go on. Tonight, we begin to rebuild and we begin, up next, with a World Tag Team Title match. It’s going to be the Hardy Boyz…going up against…Goldust and Hornswoggle, Team Bizarre! Rating: C- The tag title match opens the main show, as Team Bizarre take on the Hardy Boyz. & vs. & The match was just about as long as the dark match, and not much better. However, it was a decent opening match, although Hornswoggle predictably didn’t get into the action that much. The match showed that Bizarre are meant to be a comedy team and nothing more, but hopefully this will change. The ending came 5 minutes in, when Jeff hit the Twist of Fate on Goldust. Hornswoggle tried to get into the ring, but had been kicked off the apron and couldn’t climb back up. Winners at 5:13 Hardy Boyz Rating: C No Chance! Umaga and Intercontinental Champion Shane McMahon make their way to the ring. As they climb the steps, Shane bows down to Umaga, then does the Flair strut, before demanding that the referee to hold the rope down for him, mocking the Nature Boy. Shane: Wooo! We did it boy! Last week, my…partner…Umaga beat the legendary Nature Boy! Let’s see…first it was the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels…then the legend himself Hulk Hogan…and last week the Nature Boy Ric Flair! Haha wooo! Up next, our partner Samoan Seanoa is going to compete in a very tough Triple Threat match, scheduled by Raw’s own general manager, Mr. Eric Bischoff. It’s the Japanese legend Kensuke Sasaki…come on, you’ve all heard of him right? He’s brilliant, a real challenge for Samoan. The other opponent… “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters! Rating: B+ The triple threat match is next, but before it begins, Kenny Dykstra, Johnny Nitro and The Great Khali all join Umaga and Shane McMahon and ring side. Just before the match starts, Chris Masters hits Sasaki with a steel chair, before simply taking a seat at ring-side! vs. vs. Samoan Seanoa just brutalises Sasaki for 5 minutes, destroying the former United States Champion. Just as Sasaki starts to make a come-back, Shane McMahon distracts the referee. With the back turned, Kenny slips into the ring and attacks Sasaki. The ref turns and pushes him out of the ring, which allows Nitro to slip in and attack him. Then, with the ref distracted by him, Umaga brutalised Sasaki. The ref kicked him out of the ring, which lead to Chris Masters, Khali and Shane attacking Sasaki, the latter two resulting in a DQ. Winner at 5:12 by DQ Kensuke Sasaki Rating: D+ We cut backstage, where Todd Grisham is ready to interview Shawn Michaels. Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. Now Shawn, later tonight you’re booked to face Randy Orton, and if you win, you’ll gain entry to the Royal Rumble match this Sunday. Your thoughts? HBK: Well Todd, it should be a good match! Yeah, it’ll be brilliant...albeit a little predictable! That’s because I’m easily going to beat Orton, 1-2-3. I mean, any time I can try and get a main event match at Wrestlemania, I up my game. Now, I’m not sure whether it’ll be a Championship match at ‘Mania, after I beat Orton tonight and then win the Rumble, because of the UWC match. That being said, I will win my match tonight, then again this Sunday and then finally at Wrestlemania 23. And Todd…you can count on that! Rating: B The next match is Val Venis vs. The Great Khali! vs. Despite the first 4 minutes of this match being a physical dissection of the Big Valbowski at the hands of The Great Khali, the match wasn’t as bad as expected. Venis really carried (not literally) the giant, and made this match good enough. Shane McMahon tried to interfere at the 8 minute mark after Khali accidentally knocked out the ref. He swung a chair at Val, who ducked, sending the chair crashing into Khali’s skull, sending him to the mat. Venis climbed to the top rope and hit the Money Shot, picking up an amazing win! Winner at 8:48 Val Venis Rating: C+ We once again cut backstage, where The Undertaker, Chris Jericho and Ric Flair are waiting to discuss their tag team match against Umaga, IC Champ Shane McMahon and Kenny Dykstra, up next. Flair: Wooo! Now Shane O’… that’s how it’s do, bro. I’m the Nature Boy, and tonight, I, the World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker and Y2J Chris Jericho are gonna kick your ass. Not just yours, but Umaga’s and Dykstra’s too. Umaga only kept me down last week because The Corporation beat me down before the match. It took 3 of you to get me the mat. Shawn Michaels actually helped me, and it just took 2 of us to get back into it. Jericho: That’s right, Naitch. The Ayatollah of Rock and Roll-ah is on your team tonight, and we’re going to get revenge. It seems that Shane can only win or get an advantage when it’s 3 or 2 on 1…well tonight, it’s just 3 on 3 and we’ve got the advantage. We’re gonna win tonight, then I’ll go on and win at the Rumble and then Shane…I’m coming after you and MY Intercontinental Championship. Undertaker: Mr. Shane McMahon…Kenny Dykstra…Umaga. Tonight the three of you will…Rest…In…Peace… Rating: B+ The 6-man tag match is next, as World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker, Y2J Chris Jericho and Ric Flair take on Intercontinental Champion Shane McMahon, Umaga and Kenny Dykstra. Flair sold his injuries from last week extremely well, with Shane playing the part of a cowardly champion to perfection. After more than 10 minutes of action, Dykstra was scared into tagging Shane in by The Undertaker. Flair was then tagged in. With McMahon trying to escape the ring, Flair crept up behind him and rolled him up, picking up the win for his team. Winners at 14.06 The Undertaker, Chris Jericho and Ric Flair Rating: B- A music video is shown to promote John Cena. It was short and eye-candy based. It ended nearly 5 minutes in when Mickie James stripped Victoria. Winner at 4:44 Mickie James Rating: B- Edge is standing in the ring with a mic. I’ve done just as much as Randy the past 2 weeks, but where’s my high-profile match? Dammit Eric, get your goddamn ass out here, cos you owe me an explanation. I’m back! GM Mr. Bischoff makes his way to the ring, with an angry look on his face. Bischoff: Shut your damn mouth Edge, this is my show! You’re in MY ring, on MY show, on MY paycheque! Now, you better show me the respect I deserve on MY Monday Night Raw! You see, I like Mr Orton…he takes risks, and ASKS me if he wants a match. He requested it in the correct way, and now he has a match with The Undertaker this Sunday. You, however, were a nice guy and Edge…nice guys finish last. You want a match…I tell you what. If you beat Mick Foley tonight, you’re in the Royal Rumble match this Sunday. Edge: Thank you Mr Bischoff- trust me, you won’t regret the decision! I’ll kick that fat muppet’s ass and go on to WIN the Royal Rumble! Bischoff: I’m glad you’re so confident, because I have some extra details to give you. Firstly…the match is next! And secondly…it’s a Hardcore Rules Match……..Oh and finally…if you don’t win…you’re fired, bitch! Rating: B Mick Foley makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation, with Barbie in hand! vs. The match wasn’t as good as expected, but it was good enough. The two didn’t really do any wrestling at all; just using chairs, tables and any weapon they could find to inflict pain on each other. It was purely a stunt match, full of weapon shots. The ending came when Foley set a table on fire, but Edge hits the Edgecution through it moments later, getting the pin. Winner at 8:37 Edge Rating: C+ Shawn Michaels’ music hits and he makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation. Once he’s in the ring, Orton walks down the ramp to a chorus of boos. vs. The match was quite awkward, as the superstars didn’t really click. However, Michaels’ experience really showed, as he carried Randy to a good match. The ending came over 10 minutes in, when Orton went for an RKO, but HBK pushed him away. Randy then turned straight into a Sweet Chin Music, allowing Shawn Michaels to pick up the win and get into the Royal Rumble match. Winner at 11:31 Shawn Michaels Rating: B OVERALL: B OOC: So, the Benoit memorial will be up tomorrow, because I'm putting videos etc on it from the actual tribute. Is it just a case of copying the code from youtube into the post, or can't I use vids from youtube?

OOC: I have to apologise, I hadn't watched the second tribute video all the way through, towards the end it claims that Benoit shot his wife. I know this is incorrect, I apologise for the inaccuracy. Thanks for the response Ego, glad it touched you in some way. I just thought it was a fitting thing to do, because Benoit is still the greatest wrestler of all time, that won't change. Also, have you read any other bit of the diary yet? No worries if you haven't, just that you're opinion/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, it means alot that someone as respected as you likes the diary, especially saying it's terrifically presented, it's truly an honour. As for Jack, it was really just a random name. I didn't want to keep him as AJ, because I thought WWE wouldn't have kept his name, considering his huge success in TNA. I didn't really want to have them coming straight in and winning titles etc, just seems extremely unrealistic. I have made a few other signings the past couple of days, but they'll be appearing on ECW. I'll be making a post later today regarding its future.

Cool stuff dude, you're doing really, really good with this diary. Thanks for the kind words, also, nice to know im mutually appreciated. RE: Styles, i used to play a WWE vs WCW Game with Adam Jennings who used to make another wrestle sim, and i signed Styles once, and just gave him his real name, Allen Jones....but it never stuck with me....Jack Styles is good and rolls off the tongue!!! Interesting to see who else you have signed.....

Yeah, I was going to go that route with his real name, but I wanted to keep "Styles", and like you said, Jack Styles sort of rolls off the tongue. So yeah, thanks for reading and I'll update in a few hours, once I get on to my laptop, with the new signings.

WWE have made several huge announcements. The first is a collection of matches announced for tonight's Smackdown! tapings. The second is news of 7 new signings, and connected to that is the third announcement- the future of ECW. 1) Smackdown! Preview Brian Kendrick vs. Deuce- a preview for the Royal Rumble, as Deuce (one half of the WWE Tag Team Champins) takes on one half of the challengers, Brian Kendrick Scotty 2 Hotty and Paul London vs. Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero and Domino- further strengthening the rumours that Scotty and Chavo will face off on Sunday, they go up against each other in a tag match tonight Christian vs. Bobby Lashley- Bobby Lashley's ECW contract expired, and he makes his return to Smackdown against Christian, who is also making his return to Smackdown in singles action United States Champion William Regal vs. Dean Malenko- Malenko has a chance at revenge against one of Benoit's attackers from last week, as he faces William Regal in a dream match WWE Champion John Cena vs. Kane- after drawing with the late, great Chris Benoit last week, Cena goes straight into action with Kane, leading into a possible encounter with Dean Malenko at the Royal Rumble 2) The following talent have signed a WWE contract: Smackdown! brand: Aaron Aguilera (will appear as a pimp) B-Boy (gangsta) "Lethal" Jay Shipman (formally Jay Lethal, will be using a show stealer-type gimick) ECW brand: Abyss (keeping the same gimmick) K-Low (formally Low Ki, using a gangsta gimmick, may team with B-Boy in the future) Rich Davin (formally Davey Richards, under a blue chipper gimmick) Sonjay Bhalla (used to be under the name Sonjay Dutt, using a fun babyface gimmick) 3) The future of ECW has been addressed! Paul Heyman will have input in the brand starting the Tuesday after the Royal Rumble. Many more signings are expected to boost the ECW brand. Bobby Lashley has left the brand for Smackdown!, apparently because they felt SD! is in more need of star power after the death of Chris Benoit.

OOC: Well, I've got Smackdown typed up properly, going to inset pics tomorrow at post hopefully before midday GMT. The Royal Rumble is also booked, but I'll wait a couple of days after Smackdown to give people time for predictions (if I get any:p). Speaking of predictions, does anyone have any for Smackdown before I post it tomorrow, or just any feedback in general?

JBL: That’s right Michael, and this is the last stop before the Royal Rumble, one of the biggest events not only of the WWE year, but just in general! It’s huge! Cole: Well, I know for a fact you’re not talking about anything other than the Rumble. Although you could mean this opening contest- Daivari against debuting Aaron Aguilera! vs. Daivari vs. Aaron Aguilera The match wasn’t awful, but the fans weren’t really into it. It only lasted just over 3 minutes, when Daivari put Aguilera away with a Hammerlock DDT. Winner at 3:12 Daivari Rating: D Cole: What a way to kick off Smackdown! Now also tonight, we’ll see Dean Malenko take on Will- No Chance! Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring. JBL: Be quiet Michael! Our chairman is in the ring, and he’s got something to say! So shut up and listen, dammit! Vince: SHUT UP! *crowd boos* Look, I’m the Chairman of the Board, so show me some respect or I’ll cancel tonight’s show! Thank you. Now, in just two months time, we will crown the first ever WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion! That is the brainchild of me, Mr McMahon. I was going to come out here and gloat about my genius, and my grapefruits, but I just wanted to and a little something to our main event tonight. It’s the WWE Champion John Cena…*crowd boos loudly*…taking on the Big Red Machine…Kane! *crowd cheers* Just to ensure we get a fair fight…if William Regal or Dave Taylor interfere on Cena’s behalf…they’re suspended indefinitely! Now, this isn’t really for Kane’s benefit, of course. I mean, it won’t make a damn bit of different, because John’s gonna kick his ass anyway. Don’t believe me? Just keep watching! Cole: Well, a good decision by Mr McMahon, although I think Cena may struggle against Kane on his own! JBL: Are you kidding Michael?! Cena’s the champ, and has been for a hell of a long time! He’s beaten me! I’ll admit, I hated that man, but I love his new attitude and I think he’ll dominate and win tonight. Rating: B vs. The next match is Brian Kendrick going one-on-one with one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Deuce! The two put on a decent match, with Kendrick pulling off several high-risk manoeuvres. Deuce largely limited his offence to punches, headlocks and kicks, but did hit a Splash off the top rope, a subtle nod to his real-life father Jimmy Snuka. Kendrick scored the win nearly 6 minutes in with a Sliced Bread No. 2. Winner at 5:40 Brian Kendrick Rating: C After Kendrick has finished celebrating, we cut backstage where a tired and worn out Deuce is waiting with partner Domino, with Kristal. Domino: You got lucky, Brian! I’m telling you, that was a damn fluke, and it won’t happen this Sunday! In fact, it won’t happen later tonight! You see, Chavo Guerrero and I- you know, a team of champions,- are going to get a DECISIVE victory over you and Scotty 2 Hotty! Kristal: Well, I guess that really says a lot, but I have a quick question. I think the fans really want to know what your response is to the…prank…London and Kendrick pulled on you last week? Did it knock your concentration, getting embarrassed on worldwide television, or has it only made you angrier? Deuce: It’s just made us much more likely to beat them this Sunday. I mean, think about it…Paul, Brian. You two just joke around and play pranks, kiss up to the fans. We’re all business, and we’re gonna kick your asses on Sunday and keep our titles. Rating: C- Chavo Guerrero’s music hits the PA. JBL: Here comes the BEST Cruiserweight Champion- and just the best cruiserweight- of all time! I wonder if he’s got anything to say before his tag match. Chavo: Well, homes. You’ve been on quite a roll recently, esse. But tonight, this ends. I mean, bro, you can’t seriously think you can beat a Guerrero, right? Sure, you beat JBL, but that was because of ring rust. Then, ok, you beat Finlay, but he’d been in Ireland the night before getting drunk at a pub! And, alright, I guess you did beat Gregory Helms, but he’s lost all his Hurripowers, and he’s still trying to adjust! So, basically, you can’t beat me OR Domino, and we’re gonna kick not just your ass, but Paul London’s also. Rating: C Domino makes his entrance, followed by his opponents, Paul London and Scotty 2 Hotty. & vs. & The match was alright, serving its purpose and telling its stories. The ending came when Domino hits a huge clothesline over the top rope on Scotty 2 Hotty. Chavo attacked Hotty, whilst London brawled with Domino. The legal men didn’t make it back in to beat the 10 count, and the match ended in a draw. Paul London and Scotty 2 Hotty drew with Domino and Chavo Guerrero in 6:52 following a double count out. Rating: C- After a minute of fighting, Chavo and Domino run up the ramp, and Scotty and London get into the ring. Scotty: Ok, I think I’ve earned this. Right, you’re not man enough to just give me a title match at the Rumble; I know that, but how about this; this Sunday, at the Royal Rumble, a Cruiserweight Championship match. Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Chavo Guerrero, Hair vs. Title! Chavo nods in acceptance, as Scotty motions over his chest indicating that he wants the title. Rating: C+ The next match is the singles return of Christian and Bobby Lashley. vs. The crowd were really into the match, loudly booing Christian whilst cheering for the returning Lashley. Bobby dominated the early goings, until a thumb to the eyes gave Christian the opening. Minutes later, Christian backed away from Lashley, into the referee, but kept going into the corner. With the ref out of view, he quickly swung his leg forward, catching Bobby in the grapefruits. He then ran forward, locking in a reverse facelock. The ref ran out of the corner, and Christian climbed the top rope and hit a Tornado DDT, which Michael Cole called Peep Impact. A 3-count later and Christian was the winner! Winner at 11:43 Christian Rating: B Mister………Kennedy……Kennedy! Cole: What an awesome match, but Christian cheated to get the damn win. And here’s another guy I don’t really respect, Ken Kennedy. Kennedy: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome…Mister….Kennedy……. Kennedy climbs onto the top rope Kennedy: …Kennedy! Now, I would like to take the time to apologise to all my fans. I’m truly sorry that I’m not wrestling tonight! Believe me, I’d love nothing more than to kick some nobody’s ass, but I’ll have to wait until the Royal Rumble, when I can do it to 29 of them! So, ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the 2007 Royal Rumble…Mister…Kennedy…Kennedy! Rating: B+ We cut backstage to the office of GM Theodore Long. Teddy is on the phone, when there’s a knock at the door. Long: Sorry, I’ve gotta run, someone’s here to see me. Holla! Ok, come in. Malenko: Hello Mr Long. You wanted to see me? Long: Call me Teddy, playa. And yes I did. Now, I know you’re shocked, as we all are, at what’s happened the past week involving the late Chris Benoit. I’ve got a proposition for you. You’ve got a choice, Dean. You can have a spot in this Sunday’s Royal Rumble match, with a chance to main event Wrestlemania 23 if you win. Or, you can get a chance at revenge. It’d be you versus John Cena, non-title, in a Submission Only match! Malenko: Teddy…I want Cena! Rating: B- We go back to the main arena, where Regal and Hogan are about to face off. vs. The match was by no means as good as Hogan’s match with Umaga on Raw a couple of weeks ago, but it was still great. Basically, for a Hogan match it was awesome, but for Regal it was average. It ended nearly 10 minutes in when the US Champion hit Hogan with a Regal Cutter, getting the win. Winner at 9:53 United States Champion William Regal Rating: B We cut backstage, where Jimmy Wang Yang is stretching in his locker room. Suddenly, Batista appears out of his shower, behind him. He spins him around and hits a vicious Spinebuster. Batista hits a huge Powerbomb, before lifting Yang back up again and hitting a devastating Batista Bomb, sending a message of sorts to Kane. Rating: C The main event is next, and it’s WWE Champion John Cena vs. the man who will enter Number 1 this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, Kane! vs. Not main event quality, it was still a good match, quite long for a free-TV match. It ended when Cena accidentally knocked out the ref. With the ref down… Dean Malenko ran into the ring and hit Cena with a steel chair, before slipping out of the ring. Kane then hit a Chokeslam on Cena for good measure, picking up a massive win heading into the Royal Rumble! Winner at 24:45 Kane! Cole: Thank you for joining us on the last stop before the Royal Rumble, just round the corner from the beginning of the Road to Wrestlemania! See you Sunday!
