We’re on the home stretch, a month until the Grandaddy of them all…Wrestlemania! Last night at No Way Out, we saw some great things! We’ve got new tag team champions, Benjamin and Haas, and in a magnificent TLC match, Chris Jericho managed to defeat Christ- Here comes the money! Intercontinental Champion Shane McMahon dances to the ring, mic in one hand, and his belt over the other shoulder. Shane (pained expression): Well, as you all know I will finally get the honour to defend this championship against…Y2J…Chris…J-Jericho at Wre-wre-wrestlemania 23! And now he has the advantage of choosing the referee! It’s, quite simply, bull-****! Jericho, I promised to punish you, and I will. Tonight, you’re going to up against…the man who beat The Rock last night! The Legend Killer Randy Orton will destroy your reputation…your legend…your life. Count on it. Rating: B+ (credit to stuanderson2105 for all belt cuts, his thread is here) World Tag Team Championship Elimination Match: World’s Greatest Tag Team vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Cade and Murdoch vs. Cryme Tyme & (C) vs. & vs. & vs. & An average match, offence was split evenly, aside from Cryme Tyme who was quickly eliminated 1 and a half minutes into the match. The match went on for another few minutes until Jeff was hit with a powerful clothesline by Cade, leading to The Hardys elimination at the 4 minute mark. The final 3 and a half minutes of the match were full of back-and-forth action. In the 7th minute, Benjamin hit a T-Bone Suplex on Cade, pinning him and making sure the titles stay with him and Haas. Winners at 7:37 and still World Tag Team Champions The Worlds Greatest Tag Team Rating: C- Chris Jericho is backstage, warming up. Suddenly, IC Champion Shane McMahon and three members of The Corporation (The Great Khali, Umaga and Kenny Dykstra) leap on Jericho and knock him down. They just begin to pound Jericho. Umaga hoists him up and hits a Samoan Spike. McMahon places a steel chair on his skull, and Kenny climbs onto a box nearby. He then hits a highly-athletic Leg Drop, ensuring that flesh meets steel, busting Y2J open. Shane hits his trademark punches, then passes Chris onto Khali, who just decimates him. Shane: Dammit, get me a ref here now! Backstage Brawl, Umaga versus Jericho! Rating: B- Backstage Brawl vs. Not surprisingly, Umaga just dominated Jericho for nearly 5 minutes, keeping the wound open and drawing blood continually. Eventually he ended it with a Samoan Drop. Winner at 4:40 Umaga Rating: B+ After just totally decimating Jericho, Umaga drags him by the arm through the backstage area, occasionally kicking him in the gut to roll him along! JR: This is just sick! The Corporation blindsided the Lionheart, then threw him into an impromptu backstage brawl with Umaga. Now, Umaga is kicking his ass around the backstage area. But…what’s this?! Lawler: That’s the gorilla position and…here we go! Jericho’s being dragged to the ring. Looks like his match with Orton is next! And here’s Shane McMahon! Shane: You think it’s over, Chris? Not a chance. You think you’re gonna get a nice, easy singles match with Randy Orton? No chance in hell, bro! It’s now…a Street Fight. But don’t worry, we’re not getting involved. Still, you don’t look in a fit state to fight…tough **** really, cos you’re about to go one-on-one with the Legend Killer, Street Fight! Haha! Rating: A Can Jericho overcome these huge odds? Orton comes out in street clothes, and starts the match. vs. Orton predictably dominated Jericho, and just spends 2 or 3 minutes pounding him with right hands. He hits a con-chair-to at the 7 minute mark, and goes for the cover, but Jericho somehow got the shoulder up, staggered to his feet and hit an Enziguri! It gets to 8 minutes, and he even locks in the Walls of Jericho! However, he’s too weak after the beatings and just collapses. Orton takes the offensive, landing a punt on the side of Y2J’s head. He hits Jericho with any weapons he can find, including a chair, a baseball bat, the ring bell and even empties a bag of thumb-tacks onto the canvas. A minute later he hits the RKO onto them, hurting both Chris and himself, before making the cover and getting the win. Winner at 10:52 Randy Orton Rating: B+ Shane McMahon walks out, after Orton has left, and Jericho is on a stretcher being wheeled up the ramp. Shane: Hey, punk! Did you like that? Well, it’s now my personal mission to make you’re life, until Wrestlemania 23, a living hell! Jericho, there’s no chance in HELL that you’re taking this title away from me. You’d have to pry it from my cold, dead hands. You shouldn’t have stuck your nose in my business, you should know by now that when you get in a McMahon’s business…Chris Jericho, you should know by now that this month…you’re really gonna get hurt, son. And, just to make another announcement, The Undertaker lost Raw some respect at No Way Out, losing to Bobby Lashley. So, he’s going to be forced to team up with Christopher Daniels and…Johnny Nitro! His opponents? One of his Wrestlemania opponents, the Royal Rumble Winner, Shawn Michaels…rookie Jack Styles…and the man on the rise, Val Venis! Rating: B Shane stays in the ring, because up next he’s teaming up with Carlito to take on the American Dreams. & vs. & The match was ok; Dusty didn’t get as much offence in as the three much younger competitors. Shane pummelled him with right hands on the outside, allowing Carlito to hit an Outward Rolling Cutter on Dustin, then to cover the New American Dream to pick up the win. Winners at 4:55 Intercontinental Champion Shane McMahon and Carlito Rating: C Edge makes his way to the ring, mic in hand. Edge (laughing): The Rock lost his return to pay-per-view! Brilliant! Seriously, I love it! He loses his big return to Raw, turns ECW down, beats Christian- somehow- then when it really matters…he gets his ass kicked by Randy Orton! And- here’s the best part- he’s got to face Umaga tonight! I love it, I really do. Now I know, I got left off No Way Out, but that was to allow Rocky-boy his big return. So, I promise all my Edge-heads…I won’t be left off Wrestlemania! Hey, if I’m lucky I might actually get to kick that JA-BRO-NI up and down the ring and take him to school! Yeah, and to take a page out of our WWE Champion’s book, here’s a little rhyme, cos you all know that rapping makes you cool and increases your chances of winning by roughly 40.5429 percent! Here it goes: *Edge “beat-boxes”, then starts to rap, “beat-boxing” between each line* Yo, name’s Edge, better believe I’m a star. Unlike The Rock’s movies, I’m totally Rated R! So the Bisch chose to leave me off No Way Out! So at Wrestlemania, gonna show y’all what I’m about! Gonna be so much better…than The Rock. Hey, guess what kids- he’s got a tiny… Rating: B+ The next match is a shock to see as the (technically) fifth match of the night. Bryan Danielson vs. Ric Flair vs. Doug Williams vs. Perry Saturn vs. vs. vs. Quite short, but a lot better than expected! Flair put out a stellar performance, and teamed with the other three men’s talent, made for a good match. Surprisingly, offence was largely split, with Danielson getting slightly more than the rest! The match ended a shade before the 4 minute mark, when Doug Williams tapped out to the Figure Four. Hopefully these four lock it up again in the future, with at least double the time. Winner at 3:59 Ric Flair Rating: B- We cut backstage, where The Rock is stood with a mic. The Rock: The Rock’s not going to waste his promo-time on a skinny little bastard with a funny chin, womanly hair and a 4-0-5 record so far this year. So, moving away from DP Jr. and onto The Rock’s opponent tonight. One could say that The Rock and Umaga are cousins- The Rock’s the Samoan People’s Champ…Umaga is a shrivelled-up monkey penis. Ok, The Rock will be polite- Umaga is the Samoan Bulldozer! The Rock’s terrified…come on, The Rock’s only won…the WWE Championship 7 times! Whoa, The Rock’s also a 2-time Intercontinental Champion, and a 5-time World Tag Team Champion, alongside Mankind, The Undertaker and Y2J Chris Jericho! Finally, The Rock’s held the World Heavyweight Championship twice! Now, Umaga’s held…the IC Title…and…what?! *Holds hand to ear, as if listening to something* Ok, The Rock’s getting news from the back that…that’s all Umaga’s held! So, Umaga can take his IC Title win- because that belt has NO importance nowadays- lube it up real good, turn that sumbitch side-….wait, no. He can hand it to the Great One, who will turn that sum-bitch sideways and shove it straight up your candy ass! IF YA SMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL…WHAT THE ROCK….IS…cooking. Rating: A* A video plays hyping Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena vs. The Undertaker. Rating: B+ Shawn Michaels, Val Venis and Jack Styles vs. Christopher Daniels, The Undertaker and Johnny Nitro && vs. && The match played out fairly well, with Nitro and Daniels forcing Undertaker to be in the ring the majority of the time. Eventually, Nitro tagged in and went after Venis for a minute or two. Styles and Daniels even had a brief stint together in the ring, showing some of the action that got them famous. Eventually, in ended in the 9th minute when Venis hit the Money Shot on Johnny Nitro. Michaels and Undertaker both looked good in the match. Winners at 9:30 Shawn Michaels, Val Venis and Jack Styles Rating: C+ JR: Well, Michaels, teaming up with Venis and Styles, just got a convincing victory over The Undertaker and his team-mates only by definition, not by nature, Johnny Nitro and Christopher Daniels. His partners and opponents are backstage, and now he’s got a mic. Lawler: I think we’re about to find out what match type he’s selected for Wrestlemania 23, JR! HBK: Well, well, well. Last night, I kicked John Cena’s ass and took him to the limit! 5 seconds in, and he’s lying on the mat hoping to GOD that he’s still got a full set of teeth! So, I let him back in the game, because I love all of our WWE fans…and then come crashing into his teeth, before having mercy on his soul and ending it. Now, I get to choose the match type for the Triple Threat at Wrestlemania 23! It’s John Cena, WWE Champion and Vanilla Ice-wanna-be. It’s The Undertaker, World Heavyweight Champion and Horror Movie C-lister. And it’s Shawn Michaels, the Heartbreak Kid, the Showstopper, the Icon, the Headliner, The Main Event, Mr Wrestlemania…the Royal Rumble Winner, and your first-ever WWE Ultimate Wrestling Champion. So, the match type…we will face off…1-on-1-on-1….in a Hell In A Cell Match! Dong! Undertaker: A foolish choice by a mere mortal. Shawn Michaels, let me remind you that I am the master of Hell In A Cell matches. I destroyed Mankind in one of these brutal contests. You have made a fateful error in your thinking, and at Wrestlemania you, and John Cena, will Rest…In…Peace! Rating: A* Main Event: The Rock vs. Umaga vs. The match was good, both Samoans getting a lot of offence in against each other. Part way through the match, Edge speared The Rock- whilst the ref was down after a wild clothesline by Umaga- and it looked like Umaga would steal the win, but Rocky kicked out! 2 minutes later, The Rock hit a Rock Bottom, then The Peoples Elbow, picking up a massive win. Winner at 10:17 The Rock Rating: B Final Rating: B, success

Pre-show: Colt Cabana vs. Sonjay Bhalla vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Rob Evans The match wasn’t good at all, but it didn’t need to be. Purely used to give the four men some ring-time, Danielson made Bhalla tap out with the Arms Across America. Winner at 11:31 Bryan Danielson Rating: D Just before we go on air, the crowd is shown a video hyping John Cena vs. The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels. Rating: B+ Styles: Welcome to ECW, I’m Joey Styles, alongside the Human Suplex Machine, Tazz. Looks like we’re kicking it off in a big way- here comes our boss, the messiah of ECW, Paul Heyman! Heyman: When I took my brief, McMahon-enforced…sorry Vince, I mean “McMahon-endorsed” (*Paul says this last phrase with a huge, fake grin on his face*) hiatus from ECW, a tragedy occurred. For the first month of the year, it wasn’t Extreme Championship Wrestling on Sci-fi. No, it was “WWE Generic Brand Number 3.” The powers that be made the smart decision to retire the ECW Heavyweight Championship. That’s a great business move right? Take a brand, and remove its identity, its heritage. So, on the first show of the year we crown a new… WWE Xtreme Champion…Elijah Burke?! I mean, if you’re naming it ECW, at least book the initial title match between two originals! But on a card including no more than three Originals in matches, what else could I expect? So, the night after the Royal Rumble they give control back to me, so that I can save the brand from THEIR shortcomings! I’ve been forced to include some major stars from Raw and Smackdown, but we’ve tried to go back to what made Extreme Championship Wresting EXTREME! So, tonight as you all know, Elijah Burke is facing Tajiri, the runner up in the Number 1 Contenders Tournament. I know Rob Van Dam is the next rightful challenger to the title, and he will get his match at Wrestlemania for the Xtreme Title. However, it may not be against Elijah Burke. Tonight, Tajiri will face Elijah Burke…for the ECW Xtreme Championship! Rating: C Rob Van Dam vs. Viscera vs. It was an average match, with a huge contrast in styles. Viscera played the power game, with RVD utilising speed and strikes to take the big man down. It ended in less than 5 minutes with Van Dam hit Viscera with a Five Star Frog Splash. Winner at 4:36 Rob Van Dam Rating: C+ RVD: Tajiri, please get out here, we need to talk. I would like to say, before Tajiri comes to the ring, that this has nothing to do with the fans. I still respect you all, and want you all to respect me. Tajiri walks to the ring and grabs a mic. Tajiri: What you want, R…V…D? RVD: What’s the deal? I won the number one contenders tournament, I beat you at No Way Out in an ECW Rules match. Now, you get a title match TONIGHT! Tajiri: I can’t do a thing about that, Dam! Mr…Heyman tell me that I am in match, I have to do job. RVD slaps Tajiri in the face, and it can be heard all around the arena. RVD then drops the mic and storms out of the ring, mouthing apologies to the fans. Rating: C+ Tommy Dreamer makes his entrance, before The Sandman enters the ring through the crowd. Tommy Dreamer grabs a mic. Whilst he talks, Sandman busts himself open with a can, and hits himself with a Singapore Cane. Dreamer: So, ECW only has one match at Wrestlemania, so far? Me and Sandman…we don’t like that. We’re both ECW Originals, and I don’t think any corporate sell-out could beat us at our own game. So we’re laying it down…ECW Rules…open challenge, at Wrestlemania 23. If anyone feels they can step up, just let us know. Rating: C- Jimmy Rave vs. Little Guido Maritato vs. Balls Mahoney vs. vs. A terrible match that the fans didn’t care about, it stupidly lasted longer than the RVD-Viscera match. It mercifully ended when Guido pinned Rave after an Arriverderci. Winner at 7:21 Little Guido Maritato Rating: D+ Styles: Well, right now Alex Martin, that man in the ring, has a tough challenge. He’s about to face that man Perry Saturn. What’s this?! Mordecai! Mordecai has attacked Perry Saturn, for no reason! Tazz: This is clearly not personal Joey; Mordecai doesn’t care who he hurts, and I’m predicting that Perry is the first of many! Rating: D+ Abyss and Stevie Richards vs. El Generico and Kevin Steen & vs. & Basically a squash match, Abyss largely dominated, although Stevie got in bits of action. It wasn’t a good match by any means, ending when El Generico fell victim to the Black Hole Slam. Winners at 3:44 Abyss and Stevie Richards Rating: D- IF YA SMELL…WHAT THE ROCK…is…cooking. Styles: OH MY GAHD! The Rock, on the last ECW before No Way Out, claimed that he would not be joining us at the Land of Extreme. Has the Great One changed his mind? The Rock: FINALLY…THE ROCK…HAS…no idea why in the blue hell he is back on ECW! The Rock said last week that he would NOT be laying the Smackdown in the Land of Extreme. The Rock has made a decision about where his future and the future of WWE lies. The millions…and millions of The Rock’s fans will find out The Rock’s future…the week after Wrestlemania! The only thing The Rock will say is that ECW can take their offers… The Rock just shrugs, and shakes his head, before throwing the mic to the ground and living the ring laughing. Rating: A ECW Xtreme Title Match: Elijah Burke vs. Tajiri (C) vs. The match was ok. Tajiri really looked like the stronger competitor throughout. Just as he seemed close to winning the title, Burke hit him with a low blow in full few of the referee, deliberately getting himself disqualified. Thus, Tajiri won the match, but didn’t get the title Winner at 9:31 Tajiri Rating: C FINAL: C Sonjay Bhalla was used too much.

Thanks man, really appreciate the comments, you've no idea lol. Glad you liked the debut of The Rock, it was a spurr of the moment thing really. I was going to go with Perry Saturn as Orton's opponent, but then 4 days before that Raw Rock came back to wrestling. The rest, as they say, is history :p Also, Wrestlemania should be awesome, in-game I'm on the last Raw before 'Mania, so I'm going to have alot of time to make sure the write-up is as good as it can be. Anyway, once again thanks for reading, and for your comments, the Smackdown preview will be up later today.

Pre-show: Josh Abercrombie and Daivari vs. “Ace” Chris Colton and Kevin Steen A terrible match that the fans didn’t care about at all, it was used for the purpose of getting these four men some ring time. It ended 5 minutes in, when Daivari rolled up Colton with a handful of tights. What a show lined up for tonight, John. JBL: As always, Michael. We’re kicking off the show that is changing Friday nights with the man that’s changing Smackdown, Chavo Guerrero. As you know, Scotty 2 Hotty got lucky at No Way Out and stole my title away from me. Now, also as you know, when you lose a championship match, you get a guaranteed rematch. So, Teddy Long, esse, get your ass out here homes! I want my rematch…at Wrestlemania 23. GM Theodore Long makes his way to the top of the ramp. The man I used to hate, but now really respect- WWE Champion John Cena! Cole: How predictable, John; as soon as Cena turns his back on the Smackdown fans, much like you did when you sold out your partner Farooq, you start to like him. Cena: Yo…yo…yo…yo…YO! So we’re nearing Wrestlemania, we’re on the home stretch. The thought of my opponents…it makes me retch. On one side, Shawn Michaels, the Heartbreak Kid! I’ll put the fear of God in your heart, it’s time you hid. Then we’re got the Dead Man…you really think I can’t kick out of the Chokeslam? Come Wrestlemania, we’ve got an Ultimate Wrestling Champ…his name’s John Ce…hell, you know who I am! Next week I want a chance to prove…that I’m the best, yeah I’m better than you! I’m laying it down, gonna beat a superstar! The Rock, I hope you’re listening, wherever you are. I know, I know- you won the World Heavyweight Title twice. I’m here to make an announcement regarding Wrestlemania, my creation. This announcement is the return of the brain-child of Chris Jericho…the Money in the Bank Ladder Match! Three men from Raw and three from Smackdown, all competing to earn the right to a title match at any point in the next 12 months. It ended roughly 10 minutes in, when Saturn tapped out to the Anaconda Vice. Winner at 9:35 CM Punk Rating: C- The camera cuts backstage, where Brian Kendrick has been blind-sided by Deuce ‘n’ Domino. They begin to lay into him, driving him into the walls on either side. Before he can even get halfway down the ramp, the Masterpiece attacks from behind and just brutalises Moore. He drives him into the steel steps and destroys him at ringside, before leaving the area at ringside before the match can even begin. Rating: E Non-title: United States Champion Finlay vs. The Boogeyman (C) vs. A decent match, Boogeyman dominated the early goings, hitting Finlay with several clotheslines and bodyslams. The champion hit the Celtic Cross in the 6th minute, covering Boogey for the win. Winner at 6:41 Finlay Rating: C+ The Rock is shown backstage, talking to a random staff member. Suddenly, Batista charges and takes him out with a lead pipe. He brutalises the Great One, before hitting a Spinebuster into the concrete wall. He looks down and laughs, then makes his way to the ring for his match. Rating: B Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Not as great as expected, these two power-houses went toe-to-toe with each other, matched in strength and raw power. Lashley’s speed looked to gain him the advantage, when he went to hit a spear out of nowhere. Batista hit a Spinebuster out of nowhere, getting the win over Lashley. Winner at 12:58 Batista Rating: C John Cena vs. Funaki vs. A short match that was shockingly not a squash; Funaki hit some quick headscissors and arm drags, but Cena’s strength was too much. With the match nearly 5 minutes old, Funaki was hit with an F-U, before getting covered for the 3-count. Winner at 4:42 John Cena Rating: B Cole: What a match! Well, up next partner it’s our main event- former United States Champion William Regal against former World Champion Kane. Usually I’d give the edge to Kane, just because of his huge stature and raw power, but losing his title at No Way Out must have lit a fire under Regal, maybe giving him the advantage. Rating: B William Regal vs. Kane vs. A great end to the show, it was beautifully played out. Kane hit Regal with big boots and chops in the early minutes, before the Great Brit poked Kane in the eye to gain the advantage. Kane was taken down with a headlock, which was left on for nearly a minute. He wrapped his hand around Regal’s throat, and looked set to hit the Chokeslam, but suddenly Batista jumped the barrier and hit Kane from behind, giving him the DQ-win, but hurting him all the same. Winner at 11:48 Kane Rating: B+ FINAL: B-

WCW is back! Initial reports simply said that it had been bought by an unknown purchaser, but this has now been revealed to be…Ted Turner! The owner of World Championship Wrestling was once again the owner of the company, and named Bill DeMott his head booker. War has been declared on WWE, and with several contracts expiring soon, they went to work. Contract offers have been sent to Michael “Shawn Michaels” Hickenbottom, Jerry Lawler, David “Rich Davin” Richards and John Laurinaitis. Because of these offers and the announcement of war, WWE have attempted to sign all talent under pay-per-appearance contracts to written deals, and to quickly negotiate contract extensions for those who are up for negotiations. Super Crazy has apparently refused to sign a new deal, claiming he can make more money elsewhere. He is expected to leave the company shortly after Wrestlemania The following have signed a written contract: Bryan Danielson Jack Evans Jimmy Jacobs Alex Shelley Kevin Steen El Generico Jimmy Rave Mick Foley signed a contract extension A former WWE Champion has been signed to compete in the Randy Orton Open at Wrestlemania, there is no news yet as to whom it will be. Raw Preview: Randy Orton vs. Jim Duggan The Hardys vs. Cryme Tyme Eric Bischoff will announce the Raw qualifiers for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania 23. Pre-show: The American Dreams vs. Cade and Murdoch A potentially ok match-up that was made bad because Dusty and his son have absolutely no chemistry as partners. It ended in 5 minutes when Dustin hit a Curtain Call on Lance Cade. Winner at 5:30 The American Dreams Rating: D+ Brock Lesnar vs. Josh Abercrombie A dark match return for Brock Lesnar, possibly a try-out. He dominated the bout for 8 and a half minutes, putting Abercrombie away with an F-5. Winner at 8:31 Brock Lesnar Rating: C Eric Bischoff comes out after the match, and simply leaves a contract in the middle of the ring, pointing first at it, then at the monster of a man standing in the ring. I’m good old “JR” Jim Ross, alongside “The King” Jerry Lawler. We’re glad you can join us on the greatest show on television. Raw’s gonna kick off in a huge way, here’s the Legend Killer Randy Orton, in the ring. Lawler: He’s got a mic JR, that can’t be good! Orton: You all know who I am…ladies, I’m the guy your mothers warned you about…and gentlemen…I’m the guy you hoped your girl would never meet. Last Sunday I was in the ring with The Rock, one of the greatest legends of all time…and I beat him. I RKO’d him into the mat so hard he didn’t know what hit him. I killed yet another legend in the first-ever Randy Orton Open! So, in little over 3 weeks it’s Wrestlemania 23! I’m feeling generous, so I’m doing the same again; so long as you’re not currently set to a brand, you can accept the Randy Orton Open and challenge me. I wouldn’t advise it, I mean, look at where it left The Rock! Just to show what awaits the brave but moronic guy who accepts this open challenge, bring out my opponent! Duggan got bits of offence in, but he was no match for the RKO, which knocked him out for the 3-count, giving Randy the win. Winner at 5:46 Randy Orton Rating: C+ Matt and Jeff Hardy make their way to the ring, to the delight of the fans. We’re challenging you, at Wrestlemania 23, to another match for the World Tag Team titles! As smart as that was, trying to make a statement, many other members of the Board feel that it was unnecessary. So tonight, in the main event, Edge will go up against…The Rock! And dammit, I hate the Boards decision, but they got the majority ruling. I hope to HELL that Edge kicks Rock’s sorry ass all over the ring. Perry, look into your TV-screen, look into his eyes. That is what you will see next week, just before you get beaten in record time, ha-ha! The only people to beat him this year are…The Rock…Ric Flair…and Chris Jericho. Two are incredible legends in our business, and Y...2…J has been beaten twice since! So, Perry…you will not beat Umaga, or even get a hit in, Mister Saturn. I promise you that, ha-ha! Towards the end, Eugene went to clothesline Nitro. Johnny ducked, and sent Eugene crashing into the ref. Upset at what he did, Eric Bischoff’s nephew checked on the referee, looking worried. Seizing the advantage, Nitro hit Eugene on the back of the head with the ring bell, before making the cover as the ref groggily made the count. Shawn looked excellent in the match, and Undertaker put in a great performance that really stood out. Williams and Danielson surprisingly got some attacks in, but they were no match for HBK and Taker. Michaels hit Danielson with a Sweet Chin Music 6 minutes in, and pinned him for the expected win. It was just over quarter of an hour long, and offence was evenly split between the two men. In the opening minutes, Rock and Edge trading blows, until Rock hit three in a row, spitting in his hand and landing his trademark right, sending Edge to the canvas. Edge went to hit a spear in the 7th minute, but Rocky hit the Peoples DDT, and then kipped up. 10 minutes in, The Rock hit a Rock Bottom, but the Rated R Superstar somehow kicked out. 5 minutes later, Edge hit the spear, which somehow didn’t get him the win. The Great One then went for the Peoples Elbow, but Edge jumped up and rolled Rocky up. The ref counted to three, not seeing Edge using the ropes for leverage. Winner at 16:50 Edge Rating: B+ FINAL: C+ Undertaker-Michaels vs. Nitro-Edge: accidentally pre-booked on the website, leading to fans angered that it didn’t happen. Hurt our popularity.

Jillian Hall has chosen not to resign with WWE. This is unsurprising, as since Head Booker Alistair McGeorge took control in February she has not appeared on any shows. WWE have signed a working agreement with TNA, possibly to help them fight WCW. JBL, Rich Davin and Jerry Lawler have signed contract extensions. On Raw, Brock Lesnar was seen backstage and reportedly in a dark match, squashing Josh Abercrombie. On ECW last night, Mysterio initially worked a dark match against Perry Saturn, but they just didn’t click. The fans seemed to be bored with Mysterio’s character, so a change in gimmick- but not disposition- may be in the near future. He then wrestled after the show in another dark match, teaming with John Cena to defeat HBK and The Undertaker. WCW have signed Juventud Guerrera and Cowboy Bob Orton to written contracts. It is not yet known what role these men will play. TNA-WWE Talent Trades: Abyss (WWE) and Scott Steiner (TNA) have switched promotions, for 3 appearances. Both men ironically will be going back to their former employers. This is a trade that only allows the talent to appear on three separate shows. Also traded was Bobby Lashley for Sting, again for three shows, and Road Dogg (BG James) has been traded for JTG, for one appearance. All talent can work shows with either promotion, but must work for the company their on loan to in the case of a clash. Sting will make his first-ever appearance in WWE tonight, as he will fight former World Champion Batista in one of Smackdown’s two main events this week! Also, former DX-member Road Dogg returns for one night only, and will team up with Brian Kendrick and Paul London to take on WWE Tag Champions Deuce ‘n’ Domino and Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner!

Flair put out an excellent performance. Winners at 2:17 Cade and Murdoch Rating: C Cade: Shelton Benjamin…Charlie Haas…look, we deserve a title match at Wrestlemania! We just beat two damn legends of this business, so get out here and declare us your opponents for the titles! Rating: D Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas come out. Me and my amazingly talented and good looking partner Charlie here agree! Two fine individuals such are yourselves deserve a match against two equally fine specimens. We’re also giving The Hardys a title match. In the interest of fairness, and this is a brilliant idea from Charlie’s brain, you will have a warm-up match against The Hardys next week. Rating: C- Carlito walks to the ring. I’m not wrestling until just before the main event, so that’s cool! But, it’s a qualifying match for the Money in the Bank Ladder match and I don’t even know who I’m facing. It’s bull-crap and unfair- it’s about as cool as all of you. Crows are heard; then the lights cut out. A camera focuses on top of the titan-tron. A silhouette of a man in a trench coat and a baseball bat is seen, with a light shining from behind. The camera cuts to Carlito, who looks terrified. The light cuts out, plunging the arena into darkness again. The house lights come back on, and Carlito is staring at the stage in horror. Behind him stands… Sting! Carlito, hearing the crowd cheer, turns around, straight into a baseball to the head! Sting grabs a mic, then puts Carlito in the Scorpion Death Lock, whilst saying: Sting: You want to know your opponent…here I am. Styles pins Super Crazy after a Styles Clash, thus moving to Smackdown and into the 5-way. Winner at 2:58 Jack Styles Rating: C- Chris Jericho’s music hits, and the living legend makes his way to the ring. Jericho: A few weeks ago, at No Way Out, I beat Christian in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match! Thus, Wrestlemania Is Jericho! I get to name the Special Guest Referee for my long-awaited Intercontinental Title match against Shane McMahon. So, I’ve been racking my brains…I could choose anyone. I initially thought Earl Hebner, but no he’s signed with a poor imitation of our product. I thought about Vince McMahon, but then realised how stupid that actually was. Mick Foley was another name that popped into my mind. So, here on Raw Is Jericho, I will announce, to all my Jerichoholics, who will be counting to three and crowning me Intercontinental Champion in just less than 2 weeks time. The referee is…Stone Cold Steve Austin! Rating: B Just after the announcement is made, Shane McMahon’s music hits and the Intercontinental Champion dances to the ring. He slowly climbs up the stairs and enters the ring, calmly walking up to Jericho, slowly applauding. Out of nowhere, he slaps Chris in the face, and then hits him with a low blow. Shane: You think that’s funny?! Picking an enemy of the McMahon family?! That’s a mistake, Chris. I’m gonna make sure you don’t get to Wrestlemania. I know you’re not even on your feet yet, which is just too bad. Right now…Chris Jericho…versus Johnny Nitro! Rating: B- Nitro makes his entrance just as Jericho struggles to his feet. vs. Jericho went straight on the attack, somehow taking Nitro to the ground. The match was brilliant, as 2 evenly matched athletes went at it. Johnny got back into the match, but Jericho kept getting back on top. He had him in the Walls of Jericho, but Melina climbed onto the rope, distracted the ref as her man tapped out. Y2J released the hold and went to argue, but it was a bad move- Nitro slipped behind him and rolled him up, getting the cheap win. Winner at 7:32 Johnny Nitro Rating: B+ Randy Orton arrogantly walks to the ring, ready to compete. Before his opponent comes out, he gets a mic. It’s not fair and not the signs of a good sportsman. I’ve been a gracious competitor by laying this open challenge down, allowing people to make a name for themselves by coming to the best company in the world and by competing with the greatest wrestler in the world. FURTHERMORE, you can do it at Wrestlemania! By the end of tonight, I had better know who my opponent is. Just to show what’s coming to you, I’m gonna make an example of this man… Val Venis, his opponent, makes his way to the ring, looking ready for the match. Every time one man went on the offence, the other found a way to thwart him. In the 6th minute, Val reversed an RKO into a Reverse DDT. He climbed to the top rope, signalling for the Money Shot. Suddenly, a masked man- completely covered in black- jumped the barrier and smashed Venis with a steel chair, costing Orton the match. As Randy looked enraged at losing, the masked man seemed to be laughing. He slipped out of the ring and jumped over the barrier, running into the crowd. Rating: B+ After the match, Orton is stood in the ring looking angry, kicking the bottom ropes. After a minute or so, he starts to walk down the ramp. As he gets to the stage, the masked man runs out and attacks, dragging Randy back to the ring. Brock Lesnar has cost Randy Orton his match against Val Venis, and just destroyed him, F-5ing the Legend Killer. Dibiase has a mic… Dibiase: Hahahahaha! Suddenly, the Samoan Bulldozer charges down the ramp and attacks. After delivering 2 Samoan Drops onto the steel ramp, Umaga drags him to the ring-side arena. He places a steel chair on Saturn’s back, before climbing onto the ring apron. Umaga delivers a vicious splash to the spine of Saturn, harming his chances in their match up next. Rating: B- Umaga rolls Saturn into the ring, and the match can begin. Umaga was on top the majority of the match, although Perry Saturn did get bursts of offence in. The inevitable occurred nearly 8 minutes in, when Umaga hit him with the Samoan Spike, picking up another victory. Winner at 7:46 Umaga Rating: C+ After a brief video is shown of Umaga’s reign of destruction, the camera cuts backstage, where Armando Alejandro Estrada and Umaga are with Matt Hardy. Joo are Matt Hardy, and joo will not die! Well, we’re confident that in my Samoan Bulldozer’s match at Wrestlemania he will win. So, Matt…will joo have a…shall we say…celebration drink? Matt slaps the glass out of Estrada’s hand, into the chest of Umaga. Realising his mistake, Hardy runs, leaving Estrada and Umaga looking enraged. Well, I’ve got a partner that is all too familiar with being the underdog, shorter than his opponent, like myself. But we’re good enough to beat Khali and Seanoa…we’re faster, more talented and just plain smarter. Let me introduce my partner…Rey Mysterio! Rating: B+ Rey comes out, followed by The Great Khali and Samoan Seanoa. Michaels and Mysterio used their speed to their advantage, combating Khali and Seanoa’s brute strength with quick flips and kicks. In the end, Mysterio hit Seanoa with a West Coast Pop, picking up the win. Winners at 6:44 Shawn Michaels and Rey Mysterio Rating: B- I’m back! I’m Eric Bischoff, author of best-seller…Controversy Creates Cash! As you know, The Undertaker is set to compete in tonight’s main event, and I get to choose his opponent. He’s an 11-time World Tag Team Champion, 1-time WWE Tag Champ. He’s won the Intercontinental Championship 5 times, and the United States Title once. Finally, he’s a two-time World Champion, the Rated R Superstar…Edge! It wasn’t that long, but had a shock ending. Sting, with just one appearance left on his contract now, pinned Carlito with the Scorpion Death Drop. Once the ref counted to three, the lights went out. When they came back on, Sting had gone. Winner at 9:25 Sting (who qualifies for the MITB Ladder Match) Rating: B+ The Undertaker vs. Edge vs. The two future Hall of Famers put on a good performance, great considering they don’t really click in the ring. Not long at all, the match was very open and could have gone either way. It ended in the 7th minute, when a Tombstone left Edge unable to get a shoulder up. Winner at 7:32 The Undertaker Rating: B FINAL: B+ Perry Saturn was slightly over-used, but the show was a huge success!

Pre-show: Shawn Michaels vs. “Emo Kid” Alistair McGeorge (with Harley Crash) vs. A surprisingly decent match, it showed that McGeorge can really go in the ring. Sadly he and his manager (and real-life best friend) Crash have no chemistry, and make an awkward pairing. The fans seemed confused at Alistair’s disposition (a face, making it face-versus-face), and weren’t too keen on his character change from his only other appearance in-ring (before the Royal Rumble on ECW). Nevertheless, the match was good, possibly the start of an on-screen career for the WWE Head Booker. The ending came as somewhat of a shock, concluding when HBK laid the Emo Kid out with a Sweet Chin Music, picking up a win over his real-life boss! After the match, Alistair played his character well, crying in the corner of the ring! The fans reacted sympathetically, applauding as he made his way to the back. Winner at 6:36 Shawn Michaels Rating: B- Styles: Welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling, here on Sci-Fi! Styles: That’s absolutely correct- sadly, one of these 6 men will be leaving us tonight! The winner of the match moves to Smackdown to compete in a 5-way Number One Contenders Match for the Cruiserweight Title! The winner of THAT match will go to Wrestlemania to challenge for the Championship against Scotty 2 Hotty! It ended when the match was nearly 7 minutes old, as Rob Evans fell victim to an Arriverderci by Little Guido. Winner at 6:55 Little Guido Maritato (who is now a Smackdown Superstars and will compete in the Cruiserweight Contender 5-Way) Rating: D- Styles: What a match! Well, we have to say goodbye to ECW Original Little Guido Maritato, who will return to Smackdown. Moving on, tonight in our main event, ECW Xtreme Champion Elijah Burke teams up with Mordecai to take on Tajiri and the winner of the Number 1 Contender Tournament Rob Van Dam! Last week Paul Heyman made this match and its stipulation. Tazz: Yup, if Burke and Mordecai get the win, they choose Burke’s opponent at Wrestlemania 23, which could mean that RVD loses his shot! Styles: I doubt Burke would select Tajiri though, Tazz. I mean, he had to get himself disqualified in their title match last week. He wouldn’t want that again! Tazz: Good point Joey! Anyway, if RVD and Tajiri win- and it’s the result myself, you, Paul, ever ECW Original and every ECW fan wants- then the match at ‘Mania is a Triple Threat match! Basically, our main event at Wrestlemania 23 is riding on our main event tonight! The match ended in a draw at 5:30 when both competitors were counted out. Tajiri and Mordecai had a good exchange in the ring, but Mordecai’s limited talent and Burke’s inexperience dragged the match down. Eventually, Burke managed to roll up RVD in the 9th minute and got the pinfall, using the ropes for leverage. Burke and Mordecai now get to name Burke’s opponent for Wrestlemania! Easy! My opponent at Wrestlemania is…Rob…Van… Mordecai: Tajiri! Your opponent, Burke, is Tajiri. RVD does not get a title match, and as your partner I am entitled to do that. Jeff Hardy has been fined. Company policy states that all talent should be at every taping. If they are not on the brand, they should arrive 20 minutes before the taping begins. Hardy reportedly arrived midway through the ECW show, and so has been fined for his tardiness. WWE are now operating a “3 strikes Policy”. Here is the official statement sent to all talent concerning the policy: "Any indiscretions by talent will result in a punishment, varying depending on the severity of the indiscretion. If the indiscretion is tardiness, for instance, the talent will first be given a warning. Once the talent is late for a second time, a “3 Strike Policy” will be employed. A first offence under this policy results in the talent being fined a percentage of their wages. A second indiscretion results in a suspension, lasting one (1) week, and a third results in a suspension, lasting one (1) month. Pre-show: Bryan Danielson vs. “Emo Kid” Alistair McGeorge This was a decent pre-show match, but the fans had absolutely no interest in it. The match was quite open, with McGeorge and Danielson exchanging quick holds and take-downs. Alistair nearly got the win, getting a 2-count with a unique move he calls the AM Wake Up (he had Danielson in a head-lock, swung one leg forwards then, as he drew it swiftly back, fell face-first, driving Danielson’s head into the mat). After nearly 10 minutes of action, McGeorge was pinned following a Dragon Suplex. vs. vs. vs. vs. The match was, sadly, quite poor. However, it showcased Jack Styles’ talents perfectly, and he nearly won almost 2 minutes in, but Guerrero kicked out of the Styles Clash. In the 4th minute, Styles and Guerrero were down on the outside, and Helms was on the apron, arguing with the ref. Daivari Irish Whipped Guido into the ref, who inadvertently knocked Helms of the apron! Daivari then quickly locked in a sleeper hold with scissors. Moments later, Guido tapped out. Winner of the Cruiserweight Contenders Match at 4:49 Daivari Rating: D+ We cut backstage, where a limo has pulled up. Cole: I wonder who’s in the limo…my God! It’s… King Booker! He’s back! Just over a week away from Wrestlemania 23 and the King has returned! I can’t say I like him, but I also can’t deny it’s good to have him fit and well. JBL: Look Michael! Christian is the first to meet our returning monarch, giving him a warm handshake and a manly hug! That’s just respect, something you would know nothing about. What the hell is CM Punk doing here?! Punk: Booker…sorry, King Booker. As much as I disagree with your tactics, I can’t deny your brilliance in the ring. So, all I have to say is…it’s good to have you back. Rating: C Batista makes his way to the ring. Batista: The list is a “who’s who” of the WWE! Hulk Hogan…Funaki…John Cena. I’ve destroyed some of the best, and I want to continue that at Wrestlemania 23. You see, the past few weeks…me and Kane…we’ve had our disagreements, our…scuffles. So, Kane…get your damn ass out here! I’m challenging you to a match, one-on-one, at Wrestlemania. What do you say, big man?! Rating: B- The pyro goes off, and the Big Red Machine walks down the aisle and into the ring. Kane: Hahahahaha…Hahahahaha! You actually want to challenge me? Batista, you have made a terrible mistake! I am the single most dominant monster in the history of our profession; you’re no match for me. I have destroyed people your size and bigger with my bare hands, and you will be added to the list. You’ve lit a fire beneath me, Dave, and it’s not going out. For the first time in your life, you are the David to another man’s Goliath. At Wrestlemania, I will be your Goliath and you will not survive. The fire will continue to burn…it will burn. The lights cut out. A minute later, the red pyro goes off in the corners, followed by the arena being lit by red lights. Batista is visibly shaken. Rating: B+ Non-title: United States Champion Finlay vs. William Regal vs. An average match, but many were expecting greater things from a match between these two. However, the fans had no-one to really get behind, with it being a heel vs. heel match, so that may explain the rating. In the end, the US Champ fell victim to the Regal Cutter. Winner at 13:13 William Regal Rating: C Cole: Well, Christian is in the ring, waiting for his opponent… It’s CM Punk! But what’s this?! No! Montel Vontavious Porter charges at Punk, potentially one of his opponents in the ladder match at Wrestlemania if MVP qualifies, and attacks. Christian joins the fight, as the two men beat down Punk. MVP hits the Playmaker onto the steel ramp, and then Christian looks ready to hit the Unprettier, but suddenly… Cole: It’s King…wait no! Booker T! No more “king”, it’s just good old Booker! He’s come to Punk’s rescue! Booker T takes out MVP, and then trades blows with Christian, before hitting the Scissors Kick. He rolls MVP into the ring and hits the Book End, followed by the Spinaroony! Rating: B- Theodore Long appears on the stage. Long: Well playas! Christian, MVP…that wasn’t smart! Christian, you WERE going to face CM Punk tonight, but now that can’t happen can it? At such sort notice, I’ve had to find a quick replacement. He’s inexperienced, but you’d be surprised at his talent. You’re going against Alistair McGeorge. Now, Montel Vontavious Porter…you’re in a Money in the Bank Qualifier tonight. Yeah, you look confident playa. I wouldn’t if I were you, because you just got your ass kicked by your opponent…Booker T! Rating: C Money in the Bank Qualifier: Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Booker T vs. Booker T looked strong in the early goings of his return match, taking MVP to the mat with several right hands and chops. In the third minute, Porter gained the advantaged when he raked Booker’s eye, following up with a clothesline. The middle of the bout saw offence evenly spread, until the final few minutes. MVP accidentally knocked the ref down, but turned into a Book End. Suddenly... Ken Kennedy ran to the ring and attacked Booker T, hitting the Green Bay Plunge. Kennedy revived the ref and jumped into the crowd. MVP crawled over and covered Booker T for the win. Winner at 11:43 Montel Vontavious Porter (qualifies for the MITB Ladder Match) Rating: C- Theodore Long makes his way to the ring. Long: Ok Kennedy, your choice. You want to get involved in Booker T’s business? You got it! Thanks to you, Booker T has not qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Looks to me like he has the night off, just like you. So, at Wrestlemania 23 it will be Ken Kennedy versus…Booker T! Oh and as a warm-up…you’re going up against Perry Saturn tonight! Good look playa. Rating: C+ Christian vs. “Emo Kid” Alistair McGeorge vs. This was a short and uninteresting squash match, notable only for the fact that Christian performed well. McGeorge was just destroyed for less than 2 minutes, until Christian had mercy and pinned him following an Unprettier Winner at 1:39 Christian Rating: D+ Ken Kennedy vs. Perry Saturn vs. Sadly not as brilliant as expected, this match showcased Kennedy as a solid talent. Kennedy looked dangerous throughout the match, continually thwarting Saturn’s brief moments of offence. In the end the fans saw the second Green Bay Plunge of the evening, leading to Kennedy picking up the win. Winner at 9:42 Ken Kennedy Rating: C Cole: Here comes the WWE Champion, John Cena! Cena: Yo…yo…yo…yo…YO! In just 10 days time, it’s the end of the line. At Wrestlemania it’s time to unify…we’re getting an Ultimate Champ, my time is nigh! Undertaker, Michaels…you’re both looking like tapping. Your talent pool is something I could use to crap in. Shawn, you might be the better in-ring technician, but homes- come Wrestlemania you’ll be there wishin’…that the pain will just end and it’s over in a flash. I’m betting earlier that night you’ll be offering me cash...just to stop me from continually kicking your ass, ain’t no way I’m giving you a free pass. Word Life! Now we move onto The Undertaker…people think he’s some legend, I say the Phenom’s a faker. The dude walks to the ring in a trench coat and hat, just watch next Sunday- you’ll be seeing him tap! Yo, I’ll admit- he’s a deserving Heavyweight Champ…but every time I’m in the ring with him my style he’ll cramp! Your reign is over, now look into the eyes of the winner. Your staring at the first Ultimate Wrestling Champion, and his name is John Cena. Rating: A JBL: I wouldn’t be surprised, Michael. But moving on, up next is a true contrast of styles. We’ve got the best, most innovative Luchador in the world against the high-flying, risk-taking- but also technical- Brian Kendrick against the pure brawler Chris Masters. This should be interesting! Rating: D+ The three men make their way to the ring, and the match gets underway. vs. vs. Sadly the match wasn’t as good as it could have been, but it was safe to say that Masters dragged it down. He had the advantage in the opening minutes, pounding Rey and Kendrick. In the 3rd minute he locked Mysterio in the Masterlock, but Kendrick hit an Enziguri on the Masterpiece, forcing him to release the hold. After 5 more minutes of action, Mysterio hit a double 619, following it up with a West Coast Pop and the win. Winner at 8:37 Rey Mysterio Rating: C+ Main Event: WWE Champion John Cena and Batista vs. Kane and Bobby Lashley & vs. & An average main event that sums up a largely average Smackdown, it showcased Cena’s talents. Throughout the match he looked good, showing why he’s in the main event of nearly every show. During the match, Lashley was visibly hurt, but completed the match, which ended when he was hit with an F-U. Winners at 12:51 John Cena and Batista Rating: C+ FINAL: B- Bryan Danielson was used far too much.
