Monk
Does anyone alter their character as they go through, or the belts? I'm doing a career mode with Owen, and while he's a cruiser now, I figure later on I'll raise him up to Middleweight so he can go for more titles once I go to the WWF and stuff. Also, I maybe should have done a diary, but it's going real good (the career) I'm a face everywhere, but slowly keep adding a heel move here and there (wrist tape choke down for example) while being a touch more cheap as the months go by until finally I'll just become an uber jerk heel. Still though, I will probably raise Owen up to Middleweight or something later on so he can go for singles titles in the bigger feds.
D. Boons Ghost
At the time in question, lightweight wrestlers weren't all that featured in the states. Still, you've some options; Japan, Mexico, and the U.K. offer excellent opportunities to the lighter weight classes. If you want to make a break into the U.S., though, I'd recommend you follow your plan to beef Owen up to Middleweight.
Monk
Here's a question. Can you make a guy weigh more without editing his stats? From working out you can gain weight--can you gain enough to become a middleweight?
D. Boons Ghost
It might take a little while, but if you focus your training on muscle mass - along with a diet that does the same, you'll be able to raise yourself to middleweight.
XellenceOfXecution
Seems to take six weeks or so to beef up to middleweight.
