Colt is at C- pretty much all over. His push has been fairly low-key compared to Castagnoli for example but its only because I don't want to overwhelm myself and Castagnoli really took off turning a one night squash into a full program. I think Miz is the kinda guy that always, inexplicably, gets a girl and that girl will be oblivious to all the glaring flaws he has. I was originally going to bring her up with the "rock group" stable she was part of in OVW with Melody, Pat Buck and Johnny Punch but plans changed as they're oft inclined to do. :)

[U]Orton[/U]: So Matt Hardy has exercised his right to lose at The Royal Rumble. Might as well get him prepared for it and what better way than to be defeated at the hands of 2007's Young Wrestler of the Year? [U]Dykstra[/U]: Hardy, you had all the potential in the world but you never really lived up to it did you? I on the other hand intend to go down as one of the all-time greats in this business. I am the future legend, Kenny Dykstra and tonight I prove it yet again. Hardy justifies his rise to the top while Dykstra already stakes his claim on Young Wrestler of 2008. A good clean match with near falls a plenty and a good mix of high flynig and echnical wrestling. In the end, Hardy gets the win after avoiding a Dykstra Top Rope Elbow. V1 pinned his groggy opponent follwing a Twist of Fate. [I]Matt Hardy def. Kenny Dykstra by pinfall at 15:43[/I] [B]RATING = B+[/B][/CENTER] [I][U]JR[/U]: Looks like Matt Hardy just beat your boy Randy! [U]Orton[/U]: Shut the hell up JR![/I] Orton leaps out of his chair and slides into the ring, unseen by the clebrating Hardy who turns around straight into an RKO! The Raw Champio yells to a recovering Dykstra to get a chair as the champ looks to put Hardy out of commision ahead of their match. Before the beatdown can take place though, it is interrupted by John Cena. The crowd cheer as Cena runs down and quickly dispatches Kenny Dykstra before getting into an intense staredown with Orton. Both men look ready to fight until Orton drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring. The WWE Raw Champion shakes his head as he backs up the rampway. As Hardy recovers, he and Cena stare down for a moment before Cena gestures that Hardy defeat Orton and then face Cena one on one for the title. The crowd cheer as Hardy nods his head in agreement and both men celebrate to close out the show. [B]RATING = B[/B] [B]FINAL RATING = C+[/B] (C+... Again?! Trinity's, kayfabe, return is a welcome boost to the women's division. Dykstra is looking good. If only I could raise my average to B...)

But the referee didn't see it, Shane McMahon ran down and distracted him. Storm, seeing that Shane was sticking his nose in, released the hold and gave chase. It proved a critical mistake as Batista recovered and cut Storm off with a helacious clothesline. This time the Batistabomb wasn't countered and the pinfall was inevitable. [I]Batista def. Lashley wanted to wrestle but Finlay forced a brawl out of him. The Irishman's varied and dogged offense forced The ECW Champion to constantly adapt his own style, always staying on his toes. Finlay grew visibly frustrated with his inability to put the Champion away and rached for his trusty Shileighleigh. The Dominator saw the Irishman's plan and ducked the shot, hoisting Finlay up on his shoulder and bringing him down hard with The Dominator for the win. [I]Bobby Lashley def. As the US champ and his retinue leave they are passed by Claudio Castagnoli who runs down and attacks the fallen Jericho. Several times Daniels gets a cover on Edge only for the Smackdown Champion to kick out at the last second. Edge too gets his share of near falls and looks upset at his inability to put his opponent away. Daniels goes for the BME but the veteran Edge is prepared and pulls the referee into its path. With the official out, Edge makes his move, hitting the Edgucution onto the title belt. The crowd boo as he wakes the referee to count the pinfall. [I]Edge def. Christopher Daniels by pinfall at 16:26[/I] [B]RATING = B[/B][/CENTER] Daniels is out cold and Edge celebrates wildly in the ring, hugging his title belt. The celebration is cut short though whenthe lights turn red and the imposing figure of Kane emerges from the back. The Big Red Machine makes his way to the ring sporting a bandaged head and spoiling for a fight, but he doesn't get it. Edge dives out of the ring and makes his escape through the crowd. The show ends with the ringposts exploding as Kane stands tall in the ring. [I][U]Cole[/U]: It'll take more than that to put Kane away Edge! He no showed a house show with no explanation which was seen as the last straw for management since he has been a bad influence backstage for some time. No word on how this will affect fellow Shock & Awe member, Justice Smith although reports say there is no heat on him for his partner's behaviour. - WWE has changed tack in its international endeavors. Pacts have been formed with AAA of Mexico and NOAH of Japan to allow talent sharing. The idea behind this is that it will allow WWE to inject local talent into shows in these regions to hopefully boost attendances. - Michelle McCool has extended her contract with the WWE for a further 18 months. - Jeff Hardy, recently fired from WWE, has signed with TNA. Hardy went to the Florida based promotion last time he and WWE parted ways. Many are suprised that the troubled performer continues to get second chances in the business considering his track record. Carlito goes for a desperation move, landing a low blow behind the referee's back. He c*ckilly turns to soak in the crowd's boos unaware that Shamrock is still standing and turning a distinct shade of red. The Cool One pauses as the realisation sinks in and he turns again to face Shamrock who explodes in a flurry of punches, Carlito put Shamrock in the Zone! A Belly to Belly flattens Carlito and Shamrock immediately cranks in the Ankle Lock. Carlito screams in pain and is about to tap when Johnny Nitro strolls out from the back. Shamrock sees the IC Champ, releases the hold and sprints up the ramp after Nitro who quickly turns on his heels and runs! Carlito rolls on the ground in pain as the referee administers the ten count giving him the count out win! [I]Carlito def. Ken Shamrock by countout at 11:42[/I] [B]RATING = B[/B][/CENTER] The cameras follow Nitro as he flees from the rampaging Shamrock. He turns a corner and stops waiting for his pursuer. When Shamrock turns he is attacked by Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch! The duo beat down Shamrock as Nitro taunts his foe but its doesn't last as Shamrock fights back, smashing Cade face first off the wall and dropping Murdoch through a table. Nitro hesistates before running again. Shamrock gives chase to the parking lot where the IC champ jumps into a car driven by Melina. The pair speed off leaving a furious Shamrock roaring in anger. Trinity is beaten down and hoisted up for The Widow's Peak but somehow the Full Blooded Italian counters the move into a neck breaker. Quickly she scales the turnbuckle and comes off with The Fall From Grace to pick up a hard fought win. [I]Trinity def. Victoria by pinfall at 7:40 (Victoria and Trinity have good chemistry)[/I] [B]RATING = B-[/B][/CENTER] Trinity celebrates in the ring indicating "two down, one to go" but then Lita appears on the Titan Tron with her title belt. [U]Lita[/U]: You know, they say if you want something down properly, you need to do it yourself. I guess they're right after all. You're a tough one Trinity that's for sure but toughness doesn't win titles, talent does and I will always have that much more than you. There will be six of us in the ring on Sunday, every woman for herself but I think we all know that this match is only about one person: Me. On Sunday, I will walk down the aisle as the champ and when its all said and done, I will walk right back out the champ as well. None of you come close to reaching my level. [I][U]JR[/U]: Lita seems awful confident considering the odds are stacked against her! [U]King[/U]: She doesn't even have to lose the match to lose the title![/I] [B]RATING = B-[/B] John Cena and Triple H are backstage before the main event. Tonight we have to fight the WWE Raw Heavyweight Champion and his toy poodle Kenny... Randy, you never got much of a chance to find out last time but this is what happens when you're the champ. Dysktra showed once again that he is capable of hanging with the upper card going toe to toe with two former champions. Orton also impressed getting nearfalls on both opponents. The match broke down when a ref bump alowed Marcus CorVon ran down and attack Triple H as he stood on the apron. Orton joined in making it two on one against the game until Matt Hardy ran out to even the odds. The four men brawled at ringside leaving Dykstra and Cena in the ring. Kenny got Cena down and climber the ropes for a legdrop but wasn't fast enough. Cena popped up and ran to the turnbuckle, hooking Dykstra into the FU as the referee came to for the pinfall. Randy Orton & Kenny Dykstra by pinfall at 13:41[/I] [I](Triple H and John Cena had zero chemistry as partners, Randy Orton looked good)[/I] [B]RATING = B-[/B][/CENTER] The six men continue to brawl in the ring now. Cena is taken out by CorVon with a Pounce only for The Alpha Male to take a Pedigree from Triple H. Orton sees his chance and levels The Game with an RKO and then trades punches with Matt Hardy. An RKO attempt on V1 is countered into the Twist of Fate leaving Hardy the last man standing in the ring as the crowd cheer. The faces try to rally but any rays of hope are only momentary. Suddenly, Umaga runs down to the ring, tossing Deuce and Domino out with barely a second thought. This gives AJ all he needs to gain an edge and soon MVP is down with Style's reading for the Spiral Tap. It is at that moment that Stephanie McMahon makes her presence felt, pushing AJ from the top to the mat. MVP recovers and follows up with the Ballin' Elbow and a pin with Mark Henry holding AJ's feet, for the win. [I]Montel Vontavious Porter def. AJ Styles by pinfall at 15:14 (MVP and Styles have pretty good chemistry)[/I] [B]RATING = B-[/B][/CENTER] Mark Henry holds MVP on his shoulders as the US Champ celebrates as though he has won the big one. The King of Wreslting takes his chance to boot Kane down south and take control, ramming The Big Red Machine into the ringsteps and working his right arm over with the ringpost. But Kane fights back, reversing an Irish Whip and sending his foe into the guardrail. A Snake Eyes on the apron and Kane rolls Double C back in. At this point Edge runs down with his title belt. The Rated R Superstar swings for Kane who sidesteps the blow and grabs Edge by the throat. Edge struggles in Kane's grip, dropping the belt before Claudio low blows the monster from behind. Edge rolls away as Claudio renews his attack. However, a misjudged Brainbuster attempt is countered by Kane into a Tombstone Piledriver which drills Claudio head first into the canvas allowing the big man to pick up the win. [I]Kane def. Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall at 14:41[/I] [B]RATING = B[/B][/CENTER] Edge is backing away when he realises he has left the title belt in the ring. He turns to go and get it but Kane has also noticed it. The show closes with Kane holding the belt aloft, smiling at the Rated R Superstar.
