MightyDavidson
It was just reported on 411 that Konnan and Ron Killings have both left TNA. http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/56028/Much-More-On-Konnan-and-Killings-Leaving-TNA.htm Killings leaving is probably not surprising as he's been wanting to forever. I'd say it was pretty out of the blue for Konnan, at least from my perspective. Interesting to see what becomes of the two of them. Konnan at least has a solid position in the AAA lucha promotion, as he's one of the management.
PeterHilton
Actually, you may have missed some news because it's really not surprising for either man. As you said, Killings wanted out for a while. He's hated the way he's been used and said as much often and publicly. And Konnan: he's missed a bunch of date because he's having kidney issues and is actually all set to have a transplant. He's the head booker for AAA and has said on several interviews that AAA is his family andwill always be his priority. Plus, he apparently think the creative team are a bunch of idiots. The unfotunate side effect of all this is that TNA has apparently known for a while Konnan was going to leave which is why the pushed LAX down the card. Way down the card. Too bad because its a great gimmick.
BIGJOSH
Hopefully this doesn't kill LAX! I heard they gave Cide some mic time last night at the tapings...maybe that's a good sign!
PeterHilton
Well, they've been jobbed out repeatedly in the past few weeks. I mean they lost to a made up tag team at Slammiversary. I think TNA is making a mistake because even w/o the "mouthpiece" they are hugely over with the crowd. Unless Homicide and Hernandez are GOD AWFUL on the mic, these two should be the centerpiece of the tag division.

I also hope Ron Killings manages to find work with a fed that appreciates him more. It'd be interesting to see what he'd do in ROH.
PeterHilton
Killings is apparently heaed to AAA. Actually, with Juvi, Psicosis, X-Pac, and Kenzo Suzuki all running dates down there currently, AAA is becoming The Land of Misfit Toys for guys who are a little unwanted by the major companies in the US. Not a bad thing, though. Since they tend to be much better workers than the current crop of AAA guys.
Irish Wolf
I know AAA plays on one of the Spanish channels here in New York but I can't remember which one and when. I think it's galavision but if anyone knows for sure speak up because I really enjoy matching it. CMLL plays on one of the Spanish channels as well I think and if anyone know which and when I'd like to know that. As for Homicide and Hernandez, I've seen Homicide do some pretty good promos for ROH but live and on their YouTube internet casts. I think he could pull some good work for the team and I would maybe even try and expand them to a legitimate stable add some one to be an X Division title contender. CMLL is on Fox Sports en Espanol on Sundays IIRC
AfRoMaN36
I think its Galavision on saturdays. My mother told me Telemundo on saturdays but she may be mistaken with a RAW repeat that they give in spanish. ALL HAIL SUPER PORKY!
wooodaddy
I had no idea  I could have been watching all this time... I have a bunch of spanish stations I've never paid attention to, except for some occasional late night stuff.... owwwwwwwwwwww ;)
AfRoMaN36
I dont pay too much attention to it but its quite funny. I might start watching more often. Their wresters look like the same guys that fix my stove. (Im hispanic so I can say that:D ) Most of them have beer guts and look like theyre in their 50's. (Super Porky. Oddly he was in the WWE for a short period of time a few years back.) But the real luchadors are something else. You'll see faces from wCw you'd thought you'd never see again. Its worth a look. PeterHilton
You're talking about AAA. They are the Mexican equivalent to the WWE; storyline and character oriented. Most of their homegrown workers are crap. The reason that they brought back guys like Psicosis and Juvi and Cibernetico (and brought in X Pac) is because they're madly over and are actually better workers than the guys on their roster. If you speak spanish and can understand the stories and promos (which are pretty good, actually) then AAA can be *sort of* enjoyable. If you just want to see luchadors working lucha matches, watch CMLL. Mistico, Negro Casa, Atlantis, Hector garza..etc...all talented. Easily comparable to the talent in the WCW cruiser division at its best.
AfRoMaN36
Yeah, their promos are pretty good. It actually took me awhile to realize they base so much of their storylines on humor. I figured all luchador feds were all serious and traditional. But this is basically the Mexican WWE.
Remianen
AAA comes on Galavision in NYC, I believe immediately following Sabado Gigante. I catch it a few times a month and it's definitely funny. Apu, you presumably have Optimum Online. You can't check the weekly listing/program guide they send you? :p

He was so successful that WCW raided the company for Juvi, La Parka, Rey Mysterio, etc. The talented guys that were left (like Hijo Del Santo) moved on to other companies. So for like the last ten years AAA has been about dirty jokes, wacky costumes, lots of midgets, and they were (not suprisingly)the first Mexican companyto heavily emphasize hot chicks standing around for no real reason. It's gotten better the last year or so since Konnan has become head booker. I know Adam has said he's not a huge lucha libre fan, but in a weird way the CornellVerse is a prett good reflection of real life Mexican wrestling.
