Anderz
a similar idea to all the other threads where you post information about your game.. whether it be from the real world or the cornellverse, whether it be made-up or 'real' post it here.. you can post the tournament brackets and see if people want to predict winners.. or you can just post the results and ratings.. ill start with The King of the Indies 1997 im currently about 2/3 weeks away from this but ive got the brackets (and trades) in place and its just a case of building any other matches up for the show now.. here are the First Round Brackets (with Promotion Name(s) in Brackets) Rich Money (AMW/NYCW/XFW) vs. Human Arsenal (CZCW/PPPW) The Natural (CZCW/XFW) vs. Joey Poison (CGC) Electo (MPWF/HGC) vs. Donnie J (RPW) Hiroaki Nakasawa (KP-1) vs. Chris Morrisette (NYCW/XFW) and there you have it.. two CZCW guys and six guys brought in for the single night.. SadisticBlessings
Having read the PGHW diaries on here I seem to be the only guy who does this, but... I model the PGHW Elite Series around the G-1 Climax format. Basically, I seperate the 16 top ranked guys in PGHW into 4 brackets, and each person in the bracket faces every other person round-robin style over the first 2 weeks of March. The person with the best record in every bracket moves on to the final, sudden death elimination tournament at Night of PRIDE, with the two winners facing each other for the Elite Series Trophy in the main event. 2008's went something like this, though I'm at work so you'll have to excuse me.... note that Kunomasu and Mushashibo, who were slated to main event in a match for the Glory Crown, withdrew from the tournament to prepare for their match. Bracket A Nobuatsu Tatsuko (3-0) Raymond Diaz (2-1) Bryan Holmes (1-2) Dread (0-3) Bracket B Mito Miwa (2-0-1) Kozue Kawashima (2-1) Buddy Garner (1-1-1) Lee Bennett (0-3) Bracket C Bryan Vessey(3-0) Raul Hughes (Talent Trade; INSPIRE) (2-1) Alexander Robinson (1-2) Shingen Miyazaki (0-3) Bracket D PRIDE Koiso (3-0) Shuji Inukai (2-1) Pistol Pete Hall (1-2) Masaru Ugaki (0-3) At Night of Pride, things fell like this: Semi-Finals: Nobuatsu Tatsuko def. Mito Miwa PRIDE Koiso def. Bryan Vessey Finals: PRIDE Koiso def. Nobuatsu Tatsuko The win took Koiso to B+ popularity across Japan, and his future title run is all but assured. The Koiso - Tatsuko match was an A*, which made me glad I let Tatsuko put Koiso over in the end. :D

Woodsmeister
i started a game recently with TNA and felt they dont have enough gimmick PPV's (I really like Royal Rumble, King of the Ring etc...) so i made these gimmick/tournament events to spice things up abit: 1. Against All Odds (Feb): Super X-Cup (8 Person Elimination Tournament - winner gets a shot at the X-Division Title at Destination X 2. Lockdown (Apr): All matches contested inside the Six Sides of Steel. 3. Sacrifice (May): Gauntlet for Gold (10 Person Gauntlet - winner gets a TNA Heavyweight Title shot at Slammiversary) - qualifiers for the tournament are on iMPACT! with the fastest winners getting the higher numbered spots. 4. Victory Road (July): Road to Glory Battle Royal (30 Person Battle Royal - winner gets the main event Title Shot at Bound for Glory) - eliminations are by pinfall, submission or being thrown over the top rope. 6. Turning Point (Dec): King of the Mountain (Six Person Ladder Match - Hang the Belt on the hanger to win) - qualifiers on iMPACT!

Corey_Vandal
Im running a 2012 incarnation of 1PW and Im 2 shows in to my 96-man/32-team tournament (Unimaginativly called King Of Trios since CHIKARA bit the dust 2 years proir). Hopefully someone will actualy read this since it seems to have taken me all day..... Night 1: North (Liverpool Olympia) Team EIRE: Shemus O'Shawnesy, Fit Finlay & Fergal Devitt SOS has been the first star to gain A* overness in the UK, and the current 1PW Universal Champion. Fit Finlay is retired, but still as good as ever when called upon to get in the ring. Fergal Devitt's on loan from NJPW after a year of tagging with his hero, Jushin Thunder Liger. This marks his first match on UK soil in 6 years. vs Chav-Nation: Danny Williams, Peter Jay & Chris Stone Chav-Nation have spent the past year in the lower reaches of the card, but more than have the skills to make it, but their cheating tactics and interference keep getting them DQed. Will this tournament be their making, or their undoing? Team EGO: Randy Orton, Adam Copeland & Rob Van Dam Team EGO are the ones that kicked off the whole 6-man revival, running roughshot over 1PW. They're the clear favourites due to being the most established 3 man team in 1PW. vs English All-Stars: James Mason, Robbie Dynamite & Surf Digby All 3 men made their names in All Star Wrestling in the PPV era of British Wrestling (2009 to current day), but they have some toght names ahead of them in this tournament. Big, Bad & Dangerous: Bulk, Big Dave & Stu Sanders The UK Pitbulls have failed to gain solid ground in 1PW, dispite being the largest team on the roster. Stu Sanders on the otherhand has broken into the main event without even meaning to due to his connection with the fans. Will Sanders be the one to lead them to greatness? vs Sadistic Warriors: Mick Foley, Abyss & Exodus Since their bloody fued Mick Foley has taken Abyss under his wing, acting as a mentor of sorts, helping focus the beast's rage into a 3 month winning streak. After an extremly good showing in a hardcore tag team match pitting Foley & Abyss against JeXodus, Exodus has also become a protoge of Foley, but will Mick be able to control 2 unstoppable monsters at the same time? Reckless Intent: Spanky, Jimmy Havok & Zach Sabre Jr Havok & Sabre have been scoring upset wins over some of the most established teams in the world over the past few months, and their stock seems to be on the rise. Spanky is new to 1PW having just come off a 2 year stint in Japan. vs Team 2Xtreme: Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy & Jonny Storm The Hardyz are starting to wear down due to injury, but their still more than capable of delivering the goods when the pressures on. Jonny Storm has been involved in a bitter 6 month fued with PAC over the 1PW Openweight title, and has faced some of the best Jr Heavyweights in the world over the past few years. Night 2: Midlands (Coventry Skydome) Ultimate Power: Bobby Lashley, Dave Batista & Brock Lesnar Three of the most physicaly impressive and stongest men in wrestling. All former world champions, and all over near or over 300lbs. They're sure to destroy whoever crosses their paths, and it's not going to be pretty. vs Team Cream: Omen, Tezz & Ashton Three small local jobbers. No-one expects much of them, but at least one of them will die. Raw Aggression: Sam Slam, Stixx & Martin Stone Three men who have the skills, size and intensity to make it big. Stixx has been on a hugely impressive undefeated streak since debuting in 1PW, and has risen up the ranks to become a true contender. He has hired two men with similar drive and intensity in the hopes of dominating this tournament. vs Team LPW: Mad Mike, Ronin & Keith Myatt Leicester Pro Wrestling has had a hold over the Midlands scene for the past 7 years, and have sent 3 representitives for the King Of Trios. Team PWG: Samoa Joe, Chris Hero & El Generico PWG is the undisputed king of the indies. With TV and PPV ratings higher than anyone else in the US bar WWE & TNA, and some of the best talent in the world they're starting to look like they realy could become top dog in the wrestling world one day. They've sent 3 men that they think represent PWG best. Samoa Joe was involved in the 2011 match of the year last time he was on loan to 1PW, so it'll be interesting to see how he performs this year. vs Team Discovery Channel: Andy Shoes, CK Light & Omer Ibrahim The fun loving comedy midcarders of 1PW have banded together in the (far flung) hope of winning the King Of Trios tournament, and thus gaining world wide fame, but they'll have to get serious if they want to beat some of the best workers in the world. Team Attitude: Shawn Micheals, The Rock & Steve Austin These three men pioneered 'sports entertainment', and since walking out of WWE over pay disputes have helped put 1PW on the map. Theyre all embroiled in singles fueds with members of Team EGO, so they'll be hoping to lock horns at some point in the tournament. vs Gods Of War: Giant Singh, Paul Wight & Brymstone Three monsters, bound together by a single goal; to dominate 1PW and destroy anyone who tries to stop them. Brymstone AKA Glen Jacobs (Kane) made his debut in the criticaly accliamed 4 Man Hell In A Cell match (named Caged Fury for leagl reasons) by ripping the door off and assulting Shawn Micheals in a scene eerely reminicant of his WWF debut. Giant Singh's carrer was going down the toilet, after spending the best part of 2 years on a losing streak in WWE before being relegated to random independent shows across the US infront of crowds of 30. He was picked up by 1PW after a reccomendation by 'The Giant' Paul Wight, who didn't want to see Singh's potential wasted like he felt his had been years earlier. Night 3: South (Undecided) Damned Nation: Majik, Dragon Aisu & John Bull The Damned Nation were stars of the orginal 1PW before famously walking out after 'Gauntleygate'. This will mark the first time they've set foot in a 1PW ring in 5 years. Will the fans accept them upon their return? vs Hubba Bubba Potato Lucha: El Ligero, Bubblegum & Spud Three of the best high flyers in England have united for the King Of Trios from across the UK. Between them they represent IPW:UK, RQW & 3CW. British Legends: Robbie Brookside, Steven Regal & Johnny Kidd Steven Regal returned to British Wrestling 3 months ago, and claimed to be horrified at what it had become, lambasting the scene and its workers. He has assembled a team that he thinks represents true British Wrestling. Together they hope to show the world that their style is the true style. vs Hall Of Fame: Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts & Roddy Piper Arguably three of the most famous and influential men ever to grace the square circle. All three men have come out of retirement in the hope of reliving past glories. Team TNA: Senshi, Austin Starr & Damaja Total Nonstop Action have sent 3 of their finest warriors to represent them in the King Of Trios. Senshi has evolved into one of the most skilled workers in the US, but due to poor global distribution by TNA he is still relativly unknown in the United Kingdom. Austin Starr shook the very foundations of the wrestling world when he bacame the first worker to wrestle for both TNA & WWE simultaniously. Damaja is the current TNA Heavyweight Champion (he won it after the trade). vs World's Finest: X-Dream, Yoshihiro Tajiri & Pac X-Dream represents wXw in Germany, and has been wowing 1PW audiences with his gravity defying moves since he debuted just last month. Tajiri is one of the more mainstream Puro stars in the tournament, and has just spent the past 3 years on top of the Z1MAX mountain. Pac has just come from a violent split with his mentor, 'Dynamite Kid' Tom Billington, who left him to be beaten to a pulp by Team EGO for refusing to 'tone down his style', dispite losing matches when he attempted to. They will be all looking to make there mark in the King Of Trios. Team 3D: Brother Devon, Brother Runt & Brother Ray Team 3D will be united for the first time in 4 years thanks to WWEs generosity in loaning us Bubba/Brother Ray, who is a former TNA, Triple Crown & WWE Champion. They are arguably one of the most experienced 3-Man teams in the whole world. They'll be looking to make this family reunion last, and god help anyone who tries to split them up again. vs The Extremists: Tommy Dreamer, Balls Mahoney & Al Snow After the failure of the 'ECW Reborn' idea these mens, and ECWs legacies were badly tarnished. They've been doing the nostagia act across the American Independent scene, but this tournament marks their first match in a major organisation since WWE pulled the plug on 'the third brand'. Night 4: Scotland (Undecided) Tartan Army: Drew Galloway, Adam Shame & Falcon 'Thee' Drew Galloway is the most dispised man in 1PW. He has had some of the worlds great opponents spoon fed to him, and has destroyed them all in one foul swoop. After defeating Roddy Piper he declared himself 'The True King Of Scotland', and has hired a royal bodyguard, Shame, and a royal assassin, Falcon. vs Hammerlock: Johnny Moss, Gary Steele & Jon Ryan The presigious NWA-UK Hammerlock has slowly decreased to nothing over the past few years, but its legacy still lives on. Here 3 of Hammerlocks greatest fighters come together to fight in its memory. Gary Steele is a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Johnny Moss is a former NWA-UK Heavyweight, Champion and Jon Ryan, the head trainer of NWA-UK Hammerlock is the current RQW Heavyweight Champion. Made In Germany: Erich Schwarz, Patrick Schulz & Bad Bones All 3 men were placed in the top 5 wrestlers in the world in 2010, dispite being unemployed for the majority of the year after Europe suffered a devestating depression. Schwarz & Schulz quickly rised up the ranks gaining overness, winning the 1PW Tag Team titles last month. Bad Bones is new to 1PW, but if his debut match against Booster was anything to go by he'll do just as well as his fellow countrymen. vs Viva La Revolution: Pierre Booster Fontaine, Ettien LaFitte & Renee Dupree Booster & LaFitte are two of Europes biggest stars, but have failed to gain any footing in the UK. For the King Of Trios they have enlisted the help of former WWE Tag Team champion Renee Dupree in hopes of coming out on top. Team Japan: Jushin Thunder Liger, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Dragon Kid Representing 3 different styles in Puroresu; Super Jr, Strong Style, and Lucha-Resu, these men are looking to take the King Of Trios title back to Japan. vs Lucha Locos: Juventud Guerrera, Extreme Tiger & Super Crazy Lucha Libre is experiencing a huge worldwide revival, and three of its top stars have stepped forward to partisipate in the King Of Trios tournament. Canadian Fury: Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit & Christian Cage The three Canadian Chris's reluctantly team up in the hopes of getting Canadian wrestling the recognition it deserves. All three men have been involved in some amazing matches against each other, so it'll be interesting to see how that chemestry transfers to them as team mates. Chriswok
I made my own indie promotion up, using real life data, and it holds several tournaments throughtout the year. Last Man Standing (16man) When Worlds Collide (8 teams of 4) Hardcore Heaven (Hardcore based) Alex Shelly won the 1st Last Man Standing. When Worlds Collide sees 4 members of different promotion's rosters appear for one night to compete for the 'North America Elite' Trophy, to prove that their promotion is the best. Irish Wolf
I just recently finsihed a 9 show 5 round 36 woman tournament in 5SSW called the Jade Empress Tournament. It's way to long to type up who it did. But there was at least one A rated match and one A* rated. The last match of the tour was a B+ and the eight woman storyline for the eight quarter finalists ended with an A heat. W3LSHY
I have my Tom Welsh Yearly Anniversary Tournament every May, to celebrate the day i became owner of TNA. The winner of the tournament gets a World Title Shot whenever they want... The Winners are as follows: 2005 - Dalip Singh - Cashed it in at Sacrifice but lost to Bill Goldberg following a spear 2006 - Dalip Singh - Cashed it in at Sacrifice again, but this time won the title of Christian Cage 2007 - Kennedy (Ken Kennedy) - Cashed in at my event called Who Farted? and won the title off Dalip Singh, following his match with Brock Lesnar 2008 - Brock Lesnar - Lesnar cashed it in at Slammiversary, defeating Kurt Angle, who had just survived a Fatal-4 Way with Paul Wight (Big Show), RVD and Dalip Singh. 2009 - Robert Roode/Chris Harris - They ended up drawing in the final of the tournament, so they were both granted title shots. Chris Harris defeated Brock Lesnar, at Lockdown the following year. Lesnar (Who had been champ for about 20 Months) had defeated RVD, but Harris cashed in after. Harris won with a superkick, to win the title...But afterwards Roode cashed in his title shot opportunity to win the title off Harris!
DodgyDavid
In my CZCW game I held a tournament named The High Flying Crown which I haven't ran yet. The tournament worked differently than normal, having six first round matches and the six winners would enter a six man elimination match. Frankie Perez def. Snap Dragon (C-) Plague def. Remmy Skye (C-) Ultimate Pheonix def. Matt Sparow (C-) Fox Mask def. Citizen X (D+) James Prudence def. Masked Cougar (D+) Insane Machine def. Flying Jimmie Foxx (D+) The main event being Ultimate Phoenix vs. Plague, Frankie Perez, Fox Mask, James Prudence & Insane Machine (C-) Plague and Phoenix are the last two and Plague gets screwed when Raven Nightfall low blows Plague, after the match Phoenix cuts a promo changing his name to Ultimate PhoeniXXX with a ladies man gimmick. NickC13573
All three men have been involved in some amazing matches against each other, so it'll be interesting to see how that chemestry transfers to them as team mates. vs ?????MYSTERY TEAM?????
Can we say, INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! Anderz
CZCW King of the Indies Tournament 1998 Monday, Week 1, July 1999 Live from the Gorski Ballroom, South West USA King of the Indies First Round Matches Mr. Supreme (NOTBPW) vs. Joey Poison (4C/CGC/OLLIE) Fox Mask (BBW/CZCW/HGC) vs. Scout (CZCW/GCG) Spanish Superfly (CZCW/MPWF) vs. Guide (4C/CZCW/DAVE) Sammy Bach (CGC/CZCW/NYCW) vs. Del Muerto (MHW/MPWF) CZCW Xtreme Championship Match Awesome Thunder © vs. The Natural CZCW Championship Match Super Ninja © vs. Human Arsenal
--- Super Ninja is Fumihiro Ota - he's now a four-time Champ.. he was gone from late 1997 until January 1999... Awesome Thunder is Yosuke Narita.. Guide and Scout are the Tag Champs so theres no title match for them.. the Tournament this year seems (to me at least) a little 'lacklustre'.. ie - im not as pumped up about it as I was for 1998.. talent-wise its probably just as strong and is more 'home grown' orientated with only 3 workers loaned in for it.. im currently about 3 weeks out but everything is in place and being hyped like hell..
