Is there no way that a mod can be made to edit the game? I mean I've seen so many mods that affect games like Elder Scrolls in this way. I dont just mean the data I actually mean a mod that changes the game.
I think that we will have this possibility in a future TEW 2008-2009! :)

I really doubt this will be in. From my understanding, 3 brands were only put in because people justified it because WWE have 3 brands. From what I've heard, it's a b**** to code, so I very much doubt that Adam will go to the trouble to add a fourth brand that isn't even used in any promotion.

What you can do is split WWE into two or three seperate promotions, name them WWE:RAW, WWE:SMackdown, WWE:ECW, and have them with good relations to each other. Then you can add up to six more brands. This would mean running them as seperate promotions though, but could really be very interesting as they are talking of doing something similar in the real world. Another way you can do this, is by having "B" shows that aren't on TV, and just not having THAT Particular show as a Brand show... You can then just use people you want on it (recommend the lowest on your roster) and improvise with angle's/hypes utilizing your biggest stars for them (without really having to have them wrestle, except of course the one's you want on that "Homemade Brand"). It's not going to be an easy thing to do though, any way you look at it will cost you some time editing in the editor.

Those files are usually industry standard, and easy to edit. Other times the files are a bit more difficult, but people usually figure it out. Keep in mind that even with those games, the amount you can actually change is limited, but the limitations do depend on how much freedom the developer chooses to give the players. Anything that is hard-coded into the game's executable file is uneditable. This game has no such files. It is one executable, and the rest of the files are mainly for graphics and game databases. Everything that makes the game run is hard coded in the executable. And short of decompiling it, changing the values, and recompiling, you aren't going to be able to change anything. You could try taking a hex editor to it to find specific values to change, but that could cause major problems with the game itself. And I'm sure any modifications to the executable are forbidden in the EULA. In conclusion, you shouldn't assume that everything in the functionality of a game can be edited, because that's rarely the case. And even something that may seem like a small change or addition, could really entail hundreds of lines of code. And dealing with database instructions isn't exactly the most fun thing to do, either.

As for your original question, the mods you see here don't affect the actual game, other than it's the data in which you actually PLAY. I think you're getting these kinds of games confused with others. And besides, what on earth do you need 4 brands for?

Anyways, it's not about why someone wants something, as much as will it enhance their play. I think it would be great to have four or more Brands you can utilize.... Especially for those people that want to split their roster up into many different area's. Especially for those with HUGE over the top Roster's... And finally, the more brands you have, the more success of getting people to the top quicker (if you can figure how and which ones to do that with).
