As a life long Gooner its a strange day.... Plus Point, This will allow us to sign or build a young striker for our young team, We could bid for Tevez or go back for Anelka, and bring le sulk back to Arsenal Low Point, Henry was/is a legend, and he will be missed, £31m for Sheva - £16m for Henry?! hmmmmm.... Every true Gooner wont look back, we will look forward.... 2 Words, Nick Bendtner
Is this official? Last I heard it was only Cules (Barca) sources saying it was rumoured he'd signed for 4 years.
Pending a medical and other formalities, he's going. It's on the Arsenal website. i go to usually 8or9 home games a year and possibly 2 or 3 away games each year, and as a fan, everyone is possitive, most fans i chatted to even back in feb/march fancied a change at Arsenal, such as a David O'Leary/Tony Adams managerial partnership, with more english players, So i actually feel quite excited to be a Gooner, esp if Crazy Stan gets hold of us!!!

I think it's the right time to sell. It seems to mirror the Viera situation to me - he was just starting to decline when he was sold, and his performances since have shown that was definitely the case, and it allowed Fabregas to shine. I think Henry is also declining, and Van Persie will likely step up and have an amazing season. Besides which, the balance was all wrong when Henry played last season, he was too much of a focal point. I think him leaving will see Van Persie and Adabayor suddenly become a lot more potent.

I agree Adam, but i do feel the boy Bendtner is the one to look out for. New club captain....Its a toss up between Toure & Gilberto. A mate of mine has suggested that Wenger plucks Cisse from Liverpool!!! I do feel that we will see either Sidney Govou or Malouda sign next week and perhaps one from Anelka, Owen or Martins

I think you definitely need a switch around of some sort but you've taken a step in the right direction by looking to the future with younger players. It's what I think we should be doing at United; Giggs, Neville, Scholes and Van Der Sar are still good but they aren't spring chickens anymore! I'm hoping that Richardson will get more time on the pitch next season because I think he could do great things for us.

Nah Nick returned to us, and has become a major europen target for some major clubs. Seba Larsson & Fab Muamba signed perm deals with Stevey Bruce. By the way, i also hopes Wenger plays Fran Merida & Carlos Vela this year, Velas has been on loan in Spain for 2 years (Celta Viga & Salamanca respectively) and done extremely well.

Beeing a Spurs fan i guess this is good news. I think Henry was the best striker the premiership had for years and the good news is, i do not think you will replace him:D To say the truth if it was me i would had sold him last season, straight after the world cup, because that would had brought in much more than 16m. Maybe even double that. I think this is the best time for Henry to move. I do not think Arsenal will be winning a CL or Championship next year and he is 30 and probably won't be getting better. There is good news about all this..........he went to Barca which is the other team i support appart from Spurs!!!!
