cappyboy
Was looking at the mods forum and the post asking for pics of Biff Wellington brought a thought to mind. Back in 1992, before Benoit joined WCW full-time, weren't Wellington and Benoit tag partners in the Pat O'Connor Memorial tag team tournament? I know Wellington was one of the guys representing Canada. Was the first time I'd heard of Beef Wellington in any context be it as a ring name or a food dish. Am I correct in placing Benoit with him on that team? Or is this just a sign of how shell-shocked I am over Chris passing in this manner?
joose2001
Dont know if you know this...... This was reported on Saturday **Shane Bower, who wrestled as Biff Wellington for Stampede Wrestling in the late 80s, passed away within the past few days. According to area wrestler Steve Rivers, Bower's parents found him this morning at home in bed, as they were concerned because they hadn't heard from him. Medical officials when examining the body believe he had been dead for a few days. Bower was a top worker in the days of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Hiroshi Hase and so many others. He was also Benoit's tag team partner in what is believed to have been Benoit's first major U.S. mainstream match match as part of a WCW international tag team tournament.**
cappyboy
Thanks man. I appreciate it. I thought I remembered that. How bizarre a turn of events that is. Both Canadian team members in a 48 hour period.
