ColtCabana
This is ECW's current roster, what changes would you guys make? Would you cut people or is the roster too small? Balls Mahoney - Enhancement Talent Boogeyman - Upper Midcarder Brooke - Personality CM Punk - Main Event Elijah Burke - Upper Mid/Main Event Joey Styles - Announcer Johnny Nitro - Main Event Kelly Kelly - Personality Kevin Thorn - Upper Mid Layla - Personality Marcus Cor Von - Upper Mid Matt Striker - Lower Mid to Midcard Mike Knox - ? Midcard Nunzio - Enhancement Rob Van Dam - Gone Stevie Richards - Enhancement Tazz - Colour Commentator The Miz - Midcard Tommy Dreamer - Upper Mid Viscera - Midcarder I'll have a think about it and put in my 2 cents worth also. flamebrain
I'd cut a fair few mainly Xtreme Xpose and Boogyman. Balls, Thorne, Dreamer, Richards, Nunzio and Knox are borderline. Give them some chances to justify keeping them. Viscera should be a credible threat at any time but he needs to be repaired from being a Raw jobber first, maybe have him go through those I just mentioned. The remaining roster would be pretty heel heavy with Nitro, Burke, CorVon, Striker, Miz, Vis to Punk. Maybe a face turn for CorVon but preferably draft in some faces from the other shows: Finlay, Rey or Jeff Hardy or even bring Burchill back from Ohio. I'd concentrate on a main event of Nitro, CorVon, Burke, Punk and Rey if he came over. Finlay could feud with everyone to train on the job style, especially Miz with a young v old feud. Viscera should be strong and able to step into the ME whenever required, even if he doesn't win the belt. If the borderlines do get cut I would bring in some more peeps to fill out the roster: Colt Cabana, Ace Steel, KC James, Idol Stevens, maybe some ex-spirit squad and see who rises to the challenge. NickC13573
flamebrain, Dreamer would be kept no matter what. WHO has given more to ECW than Dreamer? ok Heyman, but thats it

Give them a year or two in ECW then, if they're good, draft them to Raw or Smackdown and bring in some new faces to fill the gaps. Its got to be better than throwing them onto Raw behind a rocket push and letting them flounder. ECW could be the intermediate stage between OVW/FCW and Raw/Smackdown. WHO has given more to ECW than Dreamer? ok Heyman, but thats it
Dude, you seem to have some odd reverance for Dreamer.

Yes, he's an ECW legend
Yes, he dipped into his own pocket to try and save the promotion
Yes, he was the most loyal guy in the back
NO, he didn't draw a crowd
WWE is booking ECW on two fronts: financial profit and developing young stars. Dreamer fits into neither category. Note that both Heyman and Sabu were ECW loyalist and could draw but they were still cut. Dreamer is not quite the messiah you describe him as. ColtCabana
Jobbers Nunzio Stevie Richards (I think Stevie's Talented, but I dont think that they'd push him) Openers Shawn Spears (OVW) The Miz ( Not a Fan, but he is useful) Lower Midcard Matt Striker Jamie Noble ( just to do something with him) Mike Mondo (Formerly Mikey of the Spirit Squad) Midcard Johnny Jeter (The Former Spirit Squad member is highly rated) Tommy Dreamer Boogeyman Viscera Colt Cabana (ECW would be a good start) Nova (Simon Dean) Low Ki (wants to leave TNA and would be a good signing) Upper Midcard Kevin Thorn Marcus CorVon Harry Smith (Talented, could slot into the midcard also) Burchill (Could do well if given a chance) Main Event Johnny Nitro CM Punk Elijah Burke Rey Mysterio (Back from Injury)
eayragt
Colt Cabana, I like some of your ideas - because new blood is definately needed. I still see Mysterio on RAW, but think Jamie Noble and Burchill would be good adds. Perhaps one of the other former Spirit Squadders, or Joey Mercury (as a face - no MNM reunion here)... how about Daniel Rodmer? I think three new people would be plenty for now - it's only an hour show with three matches a week, and there's no brand exclusive PPV's for them to fill. Zobeto227
I like the roster they have now, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Jeff Hardy going to ECW. I think its stupid that they moved Sandman to RAW... How is he going to benefit, or the show for that matter, with him on RAW?! He's an ECW guy, He was brought in solely because they brought back ECW. And then they take him off the show? Just weird. I know that this isn't going to happen but ECW CAN NOT be a real ECW promotion unless one man is part of it.... He will never sign with the WWE as he hates too many people there (and vice versa)... But to have a REAL ECW Simulation you need.... "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. 'enuff said.
irabowman
I'd like to see Kane in ECW Espically if they do really push Big Vis. Question? Has Van Damn been released or injured or what? Question? Where is the most ligit site for wrestling news?
ColtCabana
I think RVD's letting his contract expire, thats why Orton put him "on the Shelf". I really dont know where anybody could go to find credible wrestling news, what I do is use wwe.com and tnawrestling.com and then a mixture of internet reports. The main thing is to see all the opinions and then make your own point of views.

Zobeto227
You're right Afroman, Shannon Moore is truly god's gift to wrestling. Actually, my memory might be kinda fading... Wasn't it Moore who actually won the NWA title and "took it with him to ECW"? He was amazing back then, what with inventing the "Stone Cold Stunner" & the catchphrase "If ya smell what the Rock is cooking?". Rumor has it he has written and recorded all of the theme songs in the WWE currently too... Fantastic huh?! PS: In all seriousness, ECW still needs Douglas. haha
