Ramaeno
hey...i used to notice...i think t mayve been TEW 2K5 but after awhile, players from different areas eventually became available in other areas as well.... i was wondering if thatwas a glitch or if that was right o whether that was intentional...if it is intentional...is there an ETA on when guys start expanding their work area? I am a big fan of Roberto Milano, Adam Matravers and others and sure I could just pop in the editor and switch them over but i am fairly proud of not having to manipulate the game at all in the whole year ive been in it, sure it's stupid but whatever.... is there any info on this? thanks

mattg71
This is intentional. After a certain amount of time in the unemployment line, or a worker becomes really over in his game area, they will start looking elsewhere. Look for internet stories saying "Andre Jones is starting to get frustrated" or "Andre Jones looking abroad". It happens a lot with Japanese, Mexican and North American workers and they generally move between those 3 areas. I hardly ever see anyone, in my games at least, wanting to go to Europe to work. Undertaker666
If I recall correctly, some workers change the areas that they're available in for job opportunities. For example: if there's a Japanese guy who will only work in Japan but he's never hired by any company, his status might change so that he's able to work in the US. Capelli King
Now that is good news. You know i never really played attention. I always used to make wrestlers available to work in different areas maually. I also used to make guys leaving SWF(my promotion) open to work everywhere. (something like they became internationaly known after working for me) Sam Keith fror Example is the Owner of a promotion in Europe!!!

Another clue is an internet story saying "Worker X makes travel plans" or "Travel plans for Worker X". What I've found is when a worker gets to B+ or better in the area they're based in, they then look to expand to other areas as well as if they're unemployed for 6 months or longer. But, as matt pointed out, I've never seen a worker seek to expand into a market that isn't a major wrestling area (so no Europe or UK and rarely Mexico). Of course, take it with a grain of salt since I only actively track one gender and only make note of internet stories occasionally. It doesn't happen too often (and especially not for the women) but it does happen.

What if you made the UK a main territory. In other words you beefed up their promotions and you made the UK area stronger with more workers and better affluence ect? I've never tried it. But I've seen several fairly big names (for the women, at least) from the UK and Europe expand into the US & Canada (Phoebe Plumridge once, Melanie Florence twice, Jeri Behr, Emma Evans, Kathleen Lee, etc) but I've never seen a worker (male or female) do the same in reverse. I dunno if the game goes by the current environment or whether it's hard-coded to regard some areas more than others. If I had to guess, I'd say it's the former (with probably area preferences and existing promotion products as a possible balance. No use for a spot monkey to expand into the UK when there's little opportunity and the area prefers Pure, for example) since the hard-coding thing doesn't seem to be Adam's MO (he likes randomness, hard-coding works against that).
