Dorian
Ok, as you read in the title, this is a proposal of an idea for a CornellVerse mod. My idea is to introduce more small/local federations into the CornellVerse. Yes, I do realize that if someone really wanted to, they could just add their own. I'm proposing to add a whole bunch more to add some more variety. When I say small/local, I'm talking more MAWs and NYCW types. Though I will add two federations that are on the border of small becoming regional. Oh! General Questions I realized will probably be asked that I can answer: How many federations? ~ Roughly around 25 in total with about 10-15 in new promotions. Also 5-10 new dojos. Possible Breakdown: Canada - 4, Europe - 1, Mexico - 3, Japan - 7, UK - 3, USA - 7 Two Small But Close To Regional Federations: Japan and likely either Mexico or Europe. Will there be new workers? At this time, only workers that will be added are to be the owners of the companies and some head bookers. If the free agent market does not successful yield enough talent to fit the rosters, meaning varied rosters, I will likely be in need of creating some new workers. Where are you getting the federation names? ~ I'm going to take a few from the logos thread (if I get permission), and likely the rest will come to me. Only federation currently in is Rising Sun Wrestling. Ok, with all that out of the way. Would anyone be interested in this mod? If any suggestions, comments, ideas, or anything I'd love to hear them. And I apologize that this isn't as organized a first post should be.
Jonfun
I think its a good idea. I think any new feds into Cornellverse is good if done right.
PeterHilton
Yes and No. I like the idea of a bunch of smaller, more regional feds being added to create more depth, but I'm not sure about creating entirely new wrestlers. There are already @1200 workers..if you add significantly more the data might feel a little unwieldy. There are already quite a few workers that, if you sim through, go years w/o getting work. Why not focus on using those guys and making them more interesting? Either way..good luck. Big fan of CVerse Mods.
I like the idea of a bunch of smaller, more regional feds being added to create more depth,
Well, I'm glad you like the concept. I just felt like creating a few smaller federations because it would liven up the world.
but I'm not sure about creating entirely new wrestlers. I'll modify my first post slightly to indicate if anyone has a good idea for a new worker should I be needing to add some more. Currently speaking there will be roughly anywhere from 25 to 50 new workers though. It can't be helped because I will need to include new owners as well as a few head bookers, as I don't want someone like Burning EXILE. For those wondering, Burning EXILE always takes over the head booking job of WEVVX. Which I find a little unrealistic. ...no I won't change that.
Either way..good luck.
Yeah..that's part of what I was saying. if you created new workers to go along with the required staff I'd conseratively estimate 300 plus new workers. Maybe do a third of that and then find the interesting guys (or guys that might be interesting with a little touch-ups) and work around them. Heck, find an intersting character that you like who gets stuck in midcard hell by the AI and build a fed around them. But it sounds like you have good ideas and I'll keep an eye out for updates. I'm going to work with the current announcers and colour commentors and if need be I'll make a few. I'm really trying to limit my additional worker limit to 100 (150 at most). You know, I totally forgot about the midcarder for one indy is a world champion for another. Bah... Glad you like what you are hearing. I'm sorry I haven't updated with any actual info yet. ^_^;; I'm currently working on logos for people who need them. I'll likely start truly busting down on the mod this Wednesday and at least having the federations completed.
