A few key players from WCW went into the World Wrestling Federation to attempt to hit the big time (DDP, Booker T, Steiner, Bagwell, Goldberg and Nash are the only ones actually)[/SIZE][/FONT][/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][FONT=Arial Black][SIZE=3]Former WCW Champion Jeff Jarrett has talked to backers about possibly opening up a company out of Nashville but it could be a while before anything surfaces from it.[/SIZE][/FONT][/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][FONT=Arial Black][SIZE=3]Paul Heyman was released from his WWF Contract at the beginning of April 2001... Everyone expected it because Heyman was the most outspoken member of the WWF Roster and had expressed distain towards several key roster members one too many times.[/SIZE][/FONT][/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][FONT=Arial Black][SIZE=3]Key wrestlers from the WCW/ECW Rosters are finding almost no promise for tomorrow. Jarrett's company of course is the only hope left for wrestling... This looks pretty good so far, nice build up. Just a question though... Is this event on PPV or TV? Because otherwise you've got a TV Title match that won't be on TV, which I thought was a little odd. But other than that, this looks great.

This decision has been made by ECW for the simple fact that it does not have a new Television deal yet. ECW however will start off the new PPV Season with a bang with a Three Hour Spectacular. ECW will then switch over to a 2 Hour Weekly Pay Per View with a special hour before the show for non-PPV Matches. Be looking for the first ECW Pay Per View Virgin Rebirth the first friday of May 2001.[/CENTER]

The TNN era of ECW was pretty awful near the end especially, so being not too far removed from this gives you the company at a fairly low ebb. The opening line up should yield decent results, there's a nice mix of old ECW and new outside blood in there.

Styles had a little bit of trouble getting them into him at first but as the match progressed they really started liking the rookie sensation.[/COLOR][/FONT][/CENTER] [CENTER][FONT=Book Antiqua]Awesome dominated most of the match but Styles had his moments were he shined such as reversing an Chokeslam into a Jawbreaker then hitting a Backflip Kick he calls the Pele then a Standing Star Press! The fans quickly took to AJ and it helped him out a lot.[/FONT][/CENTER] [CENTER][FONT=Book Antiqua]Awesome however was a smart man indeed as he powerbombed AJ from the ring to the crowd.... Who then crowd surfed AJ back to the ground! While Awesome was taunting he had no clue that AJ was not hurt... AJ got on the ring apron and jumped up on the top rope. Every match seemed to flow well and except for a few key things the show went off without really any problems! [B]Match of the Night: The Six Way Ladder Match:[/B] This ladder match was absolutely incredible with twists and turns and ups and downs and 6 very capable competitors. The best part is is that nobody had any clue who would win the match! Nova winning the match is well deserved as he has the ability to carry the Television Division into a new era! [B]The "Interesting" Moment of the night: The Strong Style Thugs[/B] I have never actually heard of either one of these men but they both caught my attention. Low Ki and Homicide seem to be the breakout tag team of the new ECW with there stiffness and high flying ability. Ki and Cide also pulled off some very unique moves and don't be surprised when one of them is holding a title within the next six months! [B]Surprising: Aj Styles vs. Mike Awesome[/B] I had seen previous work of AJ's in WCW and was not very impressed. Or I was but not impressed enough to put him up against Mike Awesome upon his return to ECW. Awesome and AJ really got the PPV Crowd going and anyone who missed this match I can tell them to compare it to Spike Dudley vs. Awesome times 2! Skipper, Kash and Helms collected themselves on the outside and all charged the ring... Helms hit Bull with a dropkick, followed by a Judo Kick by Skipper and then a Springboard Dropkick by Kash! RVD was holding the Top Rope down when Kash hit the Springboard Dropkick on Bull and Bull fell over the top rope.[/FONT] [FONT=Book Antiqua]This was followed by a flipping Plancha by Helms to Bull.. a suicide dive by RVD to Helms/Bull... an Asia Moonsault by Kash to RVD/Helms/Bull and then finnaly a through the middle ropes dropkick by Skipper to all four men![/FONT] [FONT=Book Antiqua]Skipper through Bull back into the ring and went for the Play of the Day but Bull reversed it and hit a Bossman Slam onto Skipper to eliminate him![/FONT] [FONT=Book Antiqua]Bull then set his sights on Kid Kash... Running a show on Saturday as well. Live Events have always been a big part of ECW but Paul Heyman does not want to get too big too fast and have everything crush him again like before. However Heyman does see the importance of running a Saturday show. It would help make sure that everyone gets to wrestle at least once a week and it would be a good place to try new talent out at. Heyman recently told friends close to him that the new ECW is going to be about making the future of ECW. What a better place than live events around the world. Expect an announcement in coming weeks about the possibility of running a Saturday show from Extreme Championship Wrestling...

The match lasted almost 30 minutes (29:21) with both men coming out looking great... Noble reversed a series of Funk's moves and nailed a Tyger Driver to get the win...
