in my fall game i took randy orton with the NWA who was a lower mid carder with good potential and gave him 20 straight wins against established stars. He soon was in my main event scene and has recently become world champion.I did have him managed by Ric Flair though. He went fom D+ in the usa in november to an A by January.

I'm a stickler on in-ring skill over all else so I only fast track workers who can "go" in the ring (without being carried). In those instances, I'll give the worker clean wins over people more over than they are, while also keeping said worker in a storyline of some sort. I'd never put an opener or lower midcarder over a main eventer though. EVER. Nothing good has ever come of that for me. I prefer the one card position higher method, with pitstops at lower midcarder (to beat 2-3 midcarders) and upper midcarder (to beat a couple/handful of main eventers repeatedly).

i have my super over main eventers and title holders whoop up on a newcomer i want to get over. once the two can churn out B+ or higher (ideally A*) matches, the fued is over. usually the up-and-comer has blossomed to the public and is more over than before. after that, i use that guy to beat people with similar popularity, and maybe a time limit or dq draw with a more popular guy/main eventer, after some more losses. it usually takes about 3 or 4 months, but i have turned a bunch of 20-somethings into legit main eventers. plus, having alicia strong whoop up on a rookie and get some good matches out of him usually does the trick to get them fast tracked to the main event. i'm sure remi will attest, invest in alicia strong if you have not done so. she's the only female wrestler i employ, but she has a laundry list of A* matches, victories, and gold.

I've had success with Eri Sato and Sae Akutagawa in past versions as well. But Alicia's a ready made superstar from the moment she debuts.

Everything that has already been stated: I keep them in storylines with guys who are maybe a step or two up the ladder from them (if they're a lower midcarder don't just have them start beating main eventers...at least...I wouldn't) and have them come out on top in the end of the storyline. This will usually lead to good matches and good angle segments...all of which will build popularity. And as always it depends on what kind of fed you are running. Obviously if you're running a pure fed its more about matches than it is angles...etc.
