Roll-Up Victories?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering is it possible to have "Lucky" victories... for instance Wrestler #1 pins Wrestler #2 cleanly BUT its a lucky win like using a roll-up or small package or something along those lines. So you could hav a low ranking face cleanly pin a high ranking heel but it be lucky. I know there is the "Cheap Win" option but that is for roll-ups holding the tights and foot on the ropes etc. Like back in the day when jobber PJ Walker (Justin Credible) rolled-up IRS for the upset victory... it was a clean win but lucky!

Yeah thats what i was finkin... but gives the wrong impression say if Shark Boy pinned Abyss with his finishing move that would kill Abyss' heat and momentum, whereas a lucky roll-up victory would serve a better purpose by putting the lower ranked wrestler over without hurtin the higher rank wrestlers heat or momentum.

I just recently in a best of 7 series, Kept Dogfyte strong but had Kashmir Singh my winner. Also let him win by DQ to keep Dogs momentum hi, and well Dog was not happy bout it he want a more favorable ending in his way. Unfortunetly Kash is going to win 2 more times in this storyline so I guess Dog will just have to be upset. It's like gee Dog your going to win the series but I guess he wants a 4-0 win lol
BTW In the game when a worker is not happy about the result. Like a Upper Midcarder losing to a Lower Mid and you go on with the match anyway, what things bad wise can happen?
Depends on the worker in question's attitude and personality. Generally speaking, they'll whine about it in the 'Talk to worker' section ("I am unhappy with the number of times I have been jobbed." "I am extremely unhappy with the number of losses I've taken.", etc) and their morale may dip. But it's nothing a few meaningless wins won't fix.
thats the reason why you got the keep strong note.
Yes that is true, but I don't want it to be a "perfect finish" ie - the wrestler wins wiv his finishing move. Like when John Cena pinned Umaga in their first title match, he used a roll up to shock Umaga... thus keeping Umaga strong cos it was a lucky win. Now if Cena had beat Umaga there and then with the FU that would have burried Umaga. D'ya see my point now?

Now, I may not be the one to comment with authority on this, since I'm very new here. But I think that this may well be a matter of semantics. In the game, I think a win boosts overness and a loss drops it. I'm not sure there's a way around it. If you want a "clean" win, you're just going to have to deal with the overness loss, unless you do the 'Protect Worker' thing. Now, if you're doing a diary, then you could just write it as a 'Lucky Win'. But game-mechanic wise, I don't think it's possible to do exactly what you want to do.

Tainted win might work... I think you can even change title's with a tainted win.
Tainted Win This means that you want the ending to be questionable, giving the loser an excuse for the defeat. For example, this could be a match that ends with interference from another worker.
Or it could be just a quick roll up that caught the loser off guard, giving him an excuse for the defeat...

Heels cheat.
