Vince's death storyline

Obviously the storyline has been shelved, I didn't catch all of RAW so I'm not entirely sure what the situation is with it but I thought it would be interesting to see where people thought this storyline would be going. So lets have some predictions of what people think the angle would have played out like.

well ive read a couple different things... first ive heard that Linda was supposed to get arrested on RAW instead of the Benoit tribute then McMahon was gonna come back and say he faked his death... then ive also read that he was gonna stay off TV for awhile then 2 years from now he was gonna be a new character

Adam Bomb did it. The real reason they didn't go through with it was they realised they couldn't afford Bryan Clark's wages and didn't want to cheapen the story by having someone else be the culprit. Had they gone ahead though, Bomb would then explain that he did it for Santino Marella and "the people" leading to a money making Shane McMahon v Marella showdown at Survivor Series in a kennel from hell match (the idea being that Vince sent the kennel up from where he was, Randy Orton will cut a promo to establish this fact). Naturally Vince returns to screw his son out of the match before announcing "IT WAS ME AUSTIN! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!" even though Steve Austin isn't there.
I think they should carry on with the storyline.
I don't know. Considering the Vince had to come out and acknowledge it was just a storyline on the Benoit tribute RAW, the impact of the storyline in blunted at best. I mean those of us online knew that it just a storyline from the start. So from our perspective, it would be okay. But when you have to inform those less in the know, that's another matter. Once you have to let the marks in on something like that, the toothpaste is out of the tube. Then again, they have always counted on us the fans having short memories. So the further out from the Benoit RAW they go to restart the storyline, the less likely we're looking at a toothpaste/tube situation.

I had a theory on this while talking with one of my boys this afternoon that could not only rush up the conclusion but allow this storyline to be built on down the road. You have Special Agent Beck continuing to question superstars. He's reviewed the footage of the gauntlet Vince walked before getting in the limo and has spotted the grin on Paul London. That grin suggests to him London needs questioning. But as Beck approaches to Londrick dressing room, he hears a total unexpected argument. He enters the dressing room unobserved and there is London getting chewed a new ass by none other than Mr. McMahon. Vince gets arrested for fraud on the spot and Beck hauls him away. Coach, being Vince's boy Friday, steps in and starting doing all the tasks Vince had been before the fraud bust. But then we find Coach is spending insane amounts of time on the old TracFone. One of the workers finds this suspicious and in an attempt to get in good with the office (and concurrently embarass Coach) decides to investigate. He follows the calls to the source and finds Wait For It MR. MCMAHON!! Vince has become the godfather of wrestling and has been running the WWE empire from his cell in the Pennsylvania state pen. And as his punishment for making this information public, Vince forces the investigator into a rigged best of seven with Umaga.
