XellenceOfXecution
Another great in the world of puroresu has made his way to the squared circle in the sky. Shin'ya Hashimoto died yesterday at a hospital in Yokohama at the age of 40, apparently having suffered a brain hemorrhage. Though maybe not well known outside of Japan, Hashimoto was one of the greats in puroresu and his death was a headline story in every major newspaper here. A three time IWGP Heavyweight champion, Hashimoto was a cornerstone of New Japan Pro Wrestling for 16 years before forming ZERO-ONE in 2000. Anyone who has seen some of his great matches will fondly remember his powerful kicks, his jarring DDTs, and his trademark Brain Buster. Rest in Peace, Hashimoto-sama.
