Question about Developmental Territory

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question about developmental guys, and this one's not about how to promote your guys to your main federation. My question is can the owner and booker of a developmental territory be under developmental contract, or must they be under written/ppa?

My question is can the owner and booker of a developmental territory be under developmental contract, or must they be under written/ppa?
Sadly, owners and head bookers are assigned by the computer through contracts specifically with the development promotion - so they're technically under written deals, not development deals (which are contracts with your promotion, not the development territory). I would say this is a sorta strange feature, as choosing a head booker for your development fed would be something you'd expect to be able to do (a la EWR). But nonetheless, I've come to enjoy this sort of randomness from promotions like RIPW and SAISHO. Never know who they'll pick up of their own accord, and nothing you can do about it, either. Just go with the flow, and try to enjoy the controlled chaos when you find yourself owner-blocked from renewing 2/3 of your development guys. :D

i suppose what you could do is run a 2 player game and when you feel that a wrestler from the smaller child promotion is ready you could just sign them to the parent company. the risk is you would need all "developmental" workers to have pay-per-appearance contracts which would mean they could be poached by rival promotions. also if you have loyalty set then workers of a certain age will become loyal to the development promotion so you would have to fire them before the parent company could sign them
