Carlito
Hey all! I've got two events booked for the same night. One is a weekly event for every Saturday, and the other is a special event for one Saturday night. So will I have to run two separate events on that same day? Or will one negate the other or something? Thanks for your help, as always! Sam!
skiesofryan
I think you'll book the lesser event first. I am not 100% sure.
DodgyDavid
I heard at one point that it was the first added to the database, this might have been changed
Michael Wayne
chances are the weekly event will be booked first. I think it goes in order of importance. Depending on event size, or if it's tv show, then ppv... So your special event would be last.
Moe Hunter
Weekly show then Monthly Show. I've run TV shows with a PPV on the same night before. Even if your first show starts at 12:00am, you will still get regular attendance for both shows, even though potentially the Supershow might not end until about 6am! You book both shows, and the only real drawbacks are slightly less atendance than running both shows sepreately, and increased fatigue due to no rest period. markhenry
HWA have a Saturday or Sunday TV show and a weekly event on the same night to begin with on the tzone database. Sadly, I don't know which one comes first.
NOAH fan 4 life
another thing to point out is im pretty sure that when you run two shows on the same day, both have to be held in the same venue. so if you run a TV taping and a non-televised show on the same day they will both be in the same venue. im fairly certain this applies
Carlito
Thanks for the help, y'all! Neither show is going to be televised, so there's really no point in doing both shows, but I saw I had it scheduled that way and just wondered if I should go through with it. I WOULD run both shows, but most of my wrestlers struggle to eek out a ten minute match! (I'm playing the '93 date with USWA. Not exactly workrate city! : ) ) Thanks again! Sam! I don't want to be stuck in my small TV venue, as I'd rather have the TV show half empty.
Moe Hunter
You will be recommended a venue based on the demand for your biggest event. This crowd will attend both your tv show and your PPV. You have to of course stay in the same arena, as it would be illogistical (ha! new word?) to move your entire roster and production to another venue (especially in another area) within the same night. I booked heat at a small venue and had to hold the following PPV at the same venue.
eayragt
Thanks for that - one financial disaster averted.
infinitywpi
Being stuck at the same venue isn't a big problem. What is a problem is that you only get paid for the TV show, not for the event. So you take a -huge- financial hit... run two shows, pay for two shows, get tickets from the cheaper of the two.

I could cancel my TV shows (been on the verge of doing this for a while), but I might already be on show day. Raaaaaaaaaaaaats.
AfRoMaN36
No... just raise ticket prices for your tv show to match up for the PPV. The people are attending for the PPV anyway, they will pay the diffrence.
Moe Hunter
If it's actually ON PPV, you will get the extra revenue from home buys.
