Guest Ransik
I'm playing as WCW in 1993, one of my Owner goals is that I can't sign anyone over 35. Now PLEASE tell me this means I can resign people who are over 35. I'm pushing DDP to the moon and I have Sting & Flair as my top guys... and if I have to lose them because of this block I will be a tad annoyed to say the least. BlueStar
I don't want to sound blunt but if you'd just TRY it yourself, you'd find the answer...

Guest Ransik
Yeah the closest time to a resign is 3 months off... I'm barely getting to the end of my first month and Halloween Havoc. I just didn't want to spend time pushing guys I'll end up losing. Just to be on the safe side I'm working on Cactus' Overness and having Benoit run a pre-show interview at every show in case I end up losing DDP and Bulldog by the start of 1994. SadisticBlessings
Uh, I don't know why nobody has correctly answered this question yet given the number of responses, but yes, that's exactly what it means. You can't sign, or for that matter re-sign, people over 35. The term "re-sign" should be somewhat indicative of this anyway, because the word "sign" is right in there. :D I see that Justtxyank claimed that you can re-sign around owner restrictions, which is false. Over the course of dozens of TEW07 games, I have never been allowed to bypass owner restrictions simply because the worker was already under contract. If you don't believe me, try it yourself. Can't be done. My suggestion, if the limit is that difficult, is to use the in-game editor to extend contracts that logically would be an exception to the rule. ubernoob
Must have been a change then, because trying to re-sign has never worked for me in the past.
flamebrain
Reading my blocks I notice the steroid one states sign or re-sign so I can't do either for any workers. The one for althleticism says I can't sign anyone under B-, it doesn't say I can't resign and so, after checking, I can resign anyone I already have (thankfully!). The wording says it all. I haven't had the age one but if it doesn't state you can't re-sign, you can. :)
D-Lyrium
Like flamebrain alluded to, if you're not allowed to RE-sign workers either, it'll explicitly state that. If it just says 'sign', you can still re-sign workers who already work for you. Off the top of my head, I think age and stat-related blocks do allow you to re-sign workers (i.e, they say 'sign'). Whereas substance-abuse-related blocks don't (i.e, they sign 'sign or re-sign'). That's not confirmed at all (the age/substance abuse thing I mean). Just a theory. If you think about it, it makes sense. Not being able to re-sign stars when they get old, or injured, would suck. No owner in their right mind will force you to release someone after their 35th birthday. They could probably be sued for that :p However, if someone develops a drug addiction while on your roster, that's not a natural thing. That's their choice (ultimately). It's not something they can't prevent, like getting older or becoming less athletic. So it's perfectly sensible for an owner to want to get rid of them. Guest Ransik
Well I entered month 3... didn't notice Mean Gene's contract was up and it let me re-sign him. So I guess as long as you already have them... you're all set.
