Why is everyone so slow that whenever I post a poll without a warning that says "DO NOT POST UNTIL THE POLL COMES UP", they post something along the lines of "WHERE IST ET!!!"... Give me a second, jeez! I chose Real World Wrestling for reasons already said. More people know abou it than the CVerse, so it's much more fair...

Cornellverse - hands down. If you don't know the characters what better time to learn? If you know them, you can test your knowledge. This being the home of the Cornellverse I would suggest it. Any other wrestling forum and I would probably still choose it. RP isn't needed, and characters can be bent in a way as to portray them how you want them. Whereas if you were running a real world one well... The characters are pretty much how they are.

I've decided to go with CV, because the last game was fun and I didn't feel limited by my character, as I don't know anything really about it. With the other 3, I know a fair bit, so if I knew enough about the character I'd feel limited and forced to behave in such a way.

I knew absolutely nothing about the C-Verse, and had a lot of fun playing it and seeing how things turned out. Actually learned quite a bit about the C-Verse, and it has made me tempted to start an, odd game based on this.

But if you want to play something other then a CVerse I bet there a dozen games out there running right now based on some of those other options. The problem is that I can almost guarantee that not another mafia game is using CVerse. So in turn join this game and play as CVerse and if on the side you want to play WWE or something go to another site that is based around that setting. I just think by changing from CVerse to something else at this point when there are so many other options out there right now is pointless and needless since the other mods are avialble else where. Again I am not saying " do it this way or go away" I am just pointing out that you can play the way you want else where instead of changing the formate which has been a succesful format already.

Sorry, ubernoob, I figured you were kidding by the winky smiley, but it happens EVERY TIME!! AHHHHHGH!!   It seems there is a divide of people who think CVerse was fun so we should stay with it, as there are people who are wary about it to the point of not playing! I think that if we want a big game (40 or more people), real world would be better. If we want a deeper game, CVerse may be better. Either way, majority rules! Can it at least include mostly workers from major feds again? If it's all/mostly Japanese, Canadian or whatever, I'll have to play on complete luck again... Let's give this a few more hours, then I assume we can have a sign-up thread tomorrow. If it does end with CVerse as the theme, I repeal my offer to be narrator. (Not enough knowledge to pull it off!)
Real world would be rather....bland, honestly. "Ooo, I'm Triple H!", and after that, it goes straight down hill. Characters would be given roles simply for the sake of having roles, and it'd make no sense.
The only question I have about the opposition for Real World is why it would be bland. Why would it be? I can see tons of roles that fit, and it would work just as CVerse would. The people in the CVerse are just as far fetched in positions as mafia dons and doctors and such as real world guys! Examples: The Hardyz as Siblings Mick Foley as (Cactus) Jack of All Trades (Three Faces O' Foley!) Hulk Hogan as One-Time Lynch Proof (Hulks Up!), and becomes mafia if targeted by the nWo (one mafia). I can list a bunch more, and would have so much fun!

Yeah I put WWE on the first poll, but think CV would be fun again

As the old saying goes, if it anit broke don't fix it. I will again point out for those who want a shot at real world wrestling, there are some Mafia games that are built around what you want already. Please don't change what is already working for us. If you haven't played due to it being CV, try it. You have nothing to lose and hell you might even be intrested in playing with the CV after you give it a shot.

I, for one, support the CornellVerse theme being continued, for the following reasons: 1) Running another CornellVerse game would mean that new roles have to be introduced to keep things fresh. On the other hand, most of the roles inspired in a Real World game would be pretty bland and likely quite similar to those included in the first game... siblings, investigator, bodyguard, etc... *yawn*. 2) The first game didn't have Big Smack Scott in it. 'Nuff said. 3) We get to bring back the 4 surviving characters, maybe switch up their abilities a bit, and see if they can survive a second time. 4) Adam himself is currently writing a backstory that will pick up where Mafia 1.0 left off, and having read it I'd be sad to see the players from the first game miss out on it. Not only does it include elements of the Puro and Lucha scenes, but it also gives a perfect premise for bringing all of the big names in the CornellVerse together in one place. 5) If the CV theme gets picked it looks like the game will be co-hosted by myself and Mr. Ryland. That would be cool. :D

This is going to be gold.

If you are running it again that will get people to join and then throw Adam on top of that and even more are likely to join. I say go ahead and put together the sign up sheet and lets get this party started. One thing though, please please please don't have The Jester. Maybe I'm a minority here, but that role seems kind of suck. I know I would be rather pissed if we lynched someone and they automatically win and the game is over.

Am I right in assuming that the characters will be randomized again, so I probably wont be Azaria? If me, UT, Wallbanger, and mad are all the same guys, we'll be dead quicker than ethnic characters in horror movies!! Also, if Ryland is already setting something up, I say just go with CVerse. Let's call Voting Closed and SB can post the sign-ups!

A Jester role seems really stupid, and would make the game pointless afterwards. Please do not include this role, of a Lyncher/Lynchee. They're just....stupid, in larger games. They'd be randomized, else the same would happen again, and Wall would be the town hero.
