chris caulfield
Does anyone know any good affordable wrestling in the wigan or warrington area as I'm looking to start training but can't find any in the area.
WrestleManiac
1 Pro Wrestling It's in Doncaster, but that's not too far from Wigan is it? Wrestle Zone Wrestling This one's in Newcastle. Nothing actually in Wigan but if you're serious and have a car it shouldn't be an obstacle. Hope that helps. chris caulfield
I am quite serious but I don't fancy driving for 2 hours every week to get to newcastle.
machinesxe
I am quite serious but I don't fancy driving for 2 hours every week to get to newcastle.
The guy who trained me traveled well over that twice a week for 2 years to get trained. I mean not sound rude but I trained twice a week for 5 years up until last september when I stop due to family issues. It was an hour back and forth. If your serious you will make the drive if not save the spot for someone else. I mean when I had shows I would drive 4-5 for no cash at all on friday, saturday and sundays just to work a match. It wouldn't hurt getting used to traveling a few hours back and forth so you can earn your stripes. Just a thought, I do know if you talked to anyone who has made it, they will tell you that you need to make sacrifices. I had a guy who showed up to practice twice and late each time. The trainer of the class told him about his drive when he first started and basically told the kid to be there on time or be prepared to bump 100 times each night he was late. He did that twice and never came back. If you want to make it, FIRST THING YOU DO IS RESPECT THE BIZ. If you are not willing to sacrifice for it then you don't respect it. chris caulfield
I don't have a car though so it isn't that easy. I would need to catch a lift of a friend who definately wouldn't want to travel 2-3 hours every week just for me which is why said in the WIGAN OR WARRINGTON AREA. DanB
Has anyone trained with Midlands Phoenix Wrestling Association, or does anyone know anyone who has? Its very close to me, and its been something I've been thinking of training with for a little while.
joose2001
I think some have "taster" sessions.... so may be worth finding that out, and see if you like it or not, get to speak to some people that train there as well.
DanB
Yeah, i know this one does. I think I'm going to start in a couple of weeks... ...I'll need a couple of weeks just to build my fitness up again! :D

I don't know if you have ever boxed - but you could run 24/7 and workout ever day for about 12 hours but nothing could prepare you for that time in the ring. I wish you luck if you are serious about this - if not, you will get hurt.
