WWE: Six Months into the Ride

Hello, my name is Stephen St. John and I have been the World Wrestling Entertainment’s head booker for the past six months. It has been some ups and downs like I have never seen in my life. When I first got this gig, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I was just a former #1 selling rocker who has no experience in anything expect booking my band’s shows, television appearances, and so on. I wasn’t expecting my experience with my band to help me get the job in WWE. When it became available, I jumped on it. It has always been my dream to work for WWE in some shape and form. I have always been a huge wrestling fan and now that I see what goes on in the back it has made me an even bigger fan. In the past six months that I have held my current job, I have seen a lot of people come and go. I have gotten some new enemies and somehow I got a new woman in my life. I can actually recall all ninety-one shows that I have set up so far. I can still remember the helluva match that Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton put on at Unforgiven which ended their three month solo feud. I gained more respect for those two people than ever before. I watched them put their bodies on the line in one of the most brutal matches that WWE will let me put on the air. I’m still trying to push for bigger, but it is currently a ‘no-go’. Let me run down some things that have taken place in the six months I have had my job. I have seen people like Sherri Martel, Brian Adams, and Scott Hall pass away, but I felt bad because it didn’t really bother me. I saw a friend of mine in John Kronus die. He had been working with us as a road agent and I had gotten to know him quiet well. Finally, you have the Benoits. I couldn’t believe it and I still don’t believe in all these months later. It is still a surreal feeling. He was my biggest and baddest draw. He was my World Heavyweight Champion. He was the man to beat. He was in a feud with the fearsome, Umaga and now his legacy in no more. I’ll talk about my enemies in the business real quick to call all of you up-to-date. Chris Rombola and Shawn Osborne have me on their crap list because I choose to release them from their development deals because I told them that I just didn’t seem them going anywhere while I was in charge. They didn’t take it too well. They told me to basically ‘stick it’ when I told them the news. I called them into a meeting and gave them the option of jobbing a few shows under a mask and they both said ‘no’ and I said ‘no longer needed’. Todd Grisham has been heard saying crap about me in his new home at NWA Anarchy since I released him back in October. At least he has a job! You know, more than half of the people I have let go in the past six months are still unemployed?! Candice Michelle, Gene Snitsky, Torrie Wilson, Jim Duggan, Hornswoogle, and the list go on and on. Joey Styles: HATES ME! Styles has to be one of the most irresponsible people I have ever met. He has been late to more shows than anybody I have seen in my life and I have warned him, fined him, and recently suspended him for a month in which I filled in for an experience of a lifetime. He now hates me. Styles’ contract comes up within the next year and I highly doubt that he will be making a comeback. I have a long time to worry. I’m sure I’ll find somebody to replace him. Bob ‘Hardcore Holly’ Howard has recently told people who will listen that I am a piece of crap because at last week’s [B][I]Smackdown[/I][/B] & [B][I]ECW on Sci-Fi[/I][/B] tapings, he got in a two fights with Balls Mahoney and Robbie McAllister. I fined both Balls and Robbie and when I turned to Holly; he had this smug look on his face since he thought he was a loyalist than nothing would happen. I’ll be seeing Holly in about a month when he returns to ECW side of things after I have suspended him. He won’t be happy when he comes be either since I have some plans for him in mind. We, World Wrestling Entertainment, as a business have bought all the rights to yet another federation. WWE now owns everything that there was to own for Heartland Wrestling Association. There is talk of possibly having the best of HWA featuring past WWE superstars when they were coming up in HWA like Jamie Noble, Umaga, and Matt Striker. Oh yeah, my girlfriend that I have acquired while working at WWE. She was on the roster for a short time managing former ECW tag team champions, The Pitbulls (Jamie Noble & Kid Kash), and when I started dating her I asked her if she mind just leaving for a while and taking some more time off from wrestling since from what I’ve learned in the past, it isn’t a good thing to date co-workers. She has been taking some time off from the wrestling business once again. I’m sure many of you know her: Tammy Lynn Sytch. Yep, I have landed Sunny. When Heyman mention that we should sign her to ECW and said he had already made the call, I was a little worried that she was going to come into the building all drugged up and sloppy, but she came in looking better than she has in years and very much clean. I can see her coming back to WWE in time, but right now I have more things to worry about than just keeping her happy at work and at home. I am currently stressing over the current Diva Search that has recently been announced. I hate these things! We are currently looking at many submissions and there are a lot of them. We are scheduling the Diva Search after the up-coming pay per view entitled Survivor Series. As I have been pointing out, there have been a lot of changes. Vincent K. McMahon retired back in September and now he is just apart of the booking team along with Paul Heyman, Dusty Rhodes, his wife, and his son while his daughter is my new boss. Dave ‘Fit’ Finlay hung up his boots back in October while he was the current United States champion. He went out under his own terms, but he did say don’t ever question him coming back to the ring in time and his current role in the manager of Dave Taylor and William Regal. When I took over the spot as head booker, I decided I wanted to push some old stars. The first day on the job, I signed Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine, ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton, ‘The Dog-Faced Germlin’ Rick Steiner, and ‘The Model’ Rick Martel. Bobby Eaton actually got some decent match ratings which led to him and Ric Flair upsetting Kevin Thorn and The Great Khali for the WWE World Tag Team titles. Eaton and Flair held them for a month before Eaton retired. Steiner and Martel were both looking at programs with family member. Martel’s son Keven was contract in OVW, but was released along with his father. Rick Steiner was signed to a WWE pay per appearance contract until Scott Steiner was signed, but he wanted to stay with TNA so the ‘DFG’ was released. Along the way, there will be some new and old faces seen in the coming months in WWE. There have been people who stepped foot inside of a WWE ring in hasn’t years that have recently gotten the call and you will see them in the coming months.
