I was nervous, but I was still a little shocked that the most important belt in pro wrestling was still vacant. I may have fell ass-backwards into the money I was investing in the NWA, but I didn't like the state the company was in.[/CENTER] [CENTER][B]"No, but our tournament will be complete by the end of the month,"[/B] was the response, [B]"then we will have a NWA World Heavyweight Champion, its only a matter of time."[/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B]"And where can people watch this tournament?" [/B]I ask, knowing the answer, [B]"is it on TV?"[/B][/CENTER] [CENTER]Silence. Again, this didn't bode well.[/CENTER] [CENTER]I quickly laid out my plan to the NWA. When we stripped TNA of the NWA Titles, we got more then just the titles. Spike TV's contract was with NWA/TNA, not just TNA, so we also got a national TV channel airing a show, and I had the cash to hire a few big name stars to help draw attention to it. I also tossed out a few story ideas for the first few months, which would hopefully be interesting enough to get a following. Well, it's been settled. They were interested. The chance to have a TV show airing across the nation was enough to have the NWA give me a shot. I was handed a list showing that the show would have the World Heavyweight, World Jr. Heavyweight, World Tag Team, and Women's champions on board, as well as a selection of other NWA talent. I look down the list, and to be honest, I hadn't heard of a few of these guys, but I quickly decided it could work. [B]"Looks good, guys. We can make this happen with this list,"[/B] I tell the board. I slide a sheet of paper over the table; the list of guys I have already got signed to join. The sheet quickly makes it around the table, and they seem excited by some of my new hires. [B]"There is however one addition to that list. He's got a book coming out this fall and is looking to make a return to the business, and has decided to serve as colour commentator for our show," [/B]I smile and wave in my surprise guest.
