After months of hounding every carrier in Canada, we finally landed a PPV deal with Shaw! Things were looking up around here. [I][B][COLOR=darkred]"Hey Cheif. It's been helping a few of the up-and-comers build a name for themselves, and has been giving some of the established talent something to keep them busy. All in all, it's been going good. I should have known something was about to happen. New reader and just subscribed to this thread. I'd have to agree with the starting a new thread to write up this diary's new 08 roots. Partly because this thread deserves a far higher rating than 3 starts but mostly because I couldn’t' find the patience to read 29 pages of history. Whilst I really enjoyed the start, I wanted to catch up to see what was happening today in the NWA. A few things I like: The background work that’s being done here to, keeping us up to date with what’s happening around the world is a fantastic touch and something I hope slipping (as I haven't seen it much in this later section). Starting each show with the announcers, feels more like a real show that way rather than just a bunch of results. Build up of the wrestlers; Joey Mainstream has been a highlight for me personally more than anyone else. Although this has highlighted for me the need to go back and read the diary in full to see how Jericho and he are now working together (last I saw of them two was the handshake after their cage match), also want to know when the road trip ended (incase there was a big match to end it) and if anything happened to The Rock as he returned to wrestling. But this is now my fav diary so please do keep up the fantastic work!

I think I'm sticking with this thread for awhile yet, although I did add a link at the beginning to skip directly to Chapter II. I'll maybe have to do a 'story so far' part there too to save you a read. 1 - I haven't really figured out how to add in some of the background from around the world yet. I've been working really hard to keep this dynasty as close to real time as I can, and I'm not 100% on how I'm going to incorperate it yet. But if you want it, you got it! 2 - I really liked having the announcers open the show too, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to make time for them. They'll still open shows, but they wind up taking a backseat if I need more time. 3 - As for Joey Mainstream, I'm not going to lie; he's one of my favorites too. He's also one of the break-out stars in the NWA, and has done pretty well considering at one point I had no idea what to do with him, so I decided rename him Joey Mainstream and see where that went. Part of his Face turn was all because of respect, something he learned from Jericho, but really they are working together because they are the two top faces in the company. 4 - Road Trip (I'm surprised anyone remembers that!) ended when I quit posting results, which was about the time Showcase came to be. Road Trip was really about using some of my undercard, as well as trying my luck in different regions and countries. I'm planning on bringing something similar back in the near future. 5 - The Rock is unemployed. No one in America can afford his salary I guess. WWE, TNA, and ROH are far too small at the moment to land him. The WWE already has trouble keeping some of their top talent, as Edge recently walked away from the company, and the likes of Ken Kennedy, Johnny Nitro, Paul London, Vicky Varon, Mickie James and more all have PPA contracts, meaning the rarely work for the WWE. I'll have to keep every one up to date on the rest of the details about the 'Not-So-Big Four'.

I saw this diary was seconded for diary of the month, so I thought I'd check it out, and reading the last two pages, I have no idea what's going on. Raven's picture shows up out of nowhere and Raven's talking about demanding a title match... later on, after a bizarre exchange between some midcarders after winning a mediocre match, we apparently cut to Raven talking to... someone? For some reason he wants to talk to Joey Mercury? I hope it's not to buy illegal drugs! Stay on the wagon, Raven! The graphics are amazing, and I think the web-site thing is really cool (plus I love Shelly), but I need a little more exposition to have any clue what's going on. I also think your women's division is excellent, and I like that you're having multiple women's matches on the PPV.

I found Bruce Buffer and Kevin Nash in the hall outside my make-shift office. Buffer was physically being restrained by Dean Malenko and Don Callis. [I][B][COLOR=navy]"Kevin! Bruce! What the hell is going on out here!"[/COLOR][/B][/I] [I][B][COLOR=purple]"Big Ugly here is really pissing me off!"[/COLOR][/B][/I] [I][B][COLOR=darkred]"Hey boss. All I said is that if he knew how to call a wrestling match, then we wouldn't be in some rinky-dink hall in the middle of no where. Oh, and that people would actually watch the show.
