The early minutes go back and forth, with neither man getting the advantage. At one point, Pearce gains the upper hand, putting Danielson down for a moment. Pearce distracts the ref, allowing Sapp ample time to get a few jabs in against Danielson... but doesn't! A confused Pearce goes over to Sapp and argues with him. Sapp flips Pearce off and abandon's Pearce. Danielson tries to capitalize by rolling Pearce up, to no avail. Danielson goes for a Dragon Suplex, but before he can get a hold, Pearce breaks the hold and 'accidentaly' knocks the ref out of the ring. Pearce hits Danielson with a low blow, grabs the title belt and clocks his opponent. Things go pretty much evenly then, until Anderson gets in Sapps face. As well as Chris Jericho and RVD, they were some of my 'fantasy picks' at the begining of the game. I figured realistically they would have all agreed to work 5 days a month for a smaller company, plus I needed a few big names to help build up some lesser known guys on my roster. I doubt they will be with the company long, because I don't think they will re-sign at the end of their contract (I'm not at national). And don't worry, I have plans for Corino.

Here's a look at the highlights of the past year. [/LEFT] [CENTER][B]NWA World Women's Championship [/B][/CENTER] [LEFT]A great year for the ladies, as The Amazing Kong spent most of the year with the title, having won it from Ms. Chif in May. On the first NWA Live, she defended the title successfully against Cheerleader Melissa. Kong lost the title a week later to Lita Dumas, who immediately took the chance to establish herself as the top female in the company, choosing to do so against Melissa. After getting a victory over Melissa, Kia Kong got a chance to win back her title, but failed at New Year's Eve Brawl. Meanwhile, on NWA SV, a 'Tournament of Champions' was held, and was won by Melissa, giving her one more shot at the title. [/LEFT] [CENTER][B]NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship [/B][/CENTER] [LEFT]Mike Quackenbush won the title back in May from Tiger Mask IV. He has held the title since, making a title defence against Psiosis on the first NWA Live. Quackenbush would occaisionally team up with DDP over the next few weeks, and become invovled in a short feud with Brent Albright. Christopher Daniels appeared on the scene, and proceeded to wear-down Quackenbush, before Ryan Cruz was given a title shot at New Year's Eve Brawl. [/LEFT] [CENTER][B]The Mainstream Era[/B] [/CENTER] [LEFT]Joey Matthew's decided to rename himself Joey Mainstream, and adopted a new persona to match. He formed an alliance with Dawn Marie shortly after, and started hounding NWA reporter, Trish Stratus. Chris Jericho then became involved as well as JR Superstar, the former Joey Ryan. Mainstream and Superstar faced Trish and Jericho at New Year's Eve Brawl, but it remains to be seen if this is the end of the feud. [/LEFT] [CENTER][B]NWA World Tag Team Championship [/CENTER] [/B][LEFT]After TNA was stripped of the titles, a three-way match was set-up in July. Karl Anderson and Joey Ryan defeated Billy Kidman and Sean Waltmen and the team of Sicidelico Jr. and Incognito. On the first NWA Live, the duo retained their titles against Kidman and Waltmen using underhanded tactics. The Champs again defended thier titles against Sicidelico Jr. and Incognito, and the pair cheated again for the win. Kidman and Waltmen won the titles from the pair, and held on to them for the rest of the year. Thanks to Waltmen's friend, NWA Rep Kevin Nash, the duo of got a healthy number of opponents, most recently the European Union and The Real Deals. [/LEFT] [CENTER][B]Old School [/B][/CENTER] [LEFT]Steve Corino had high hopes for the year, as he fully expected to be put into the title hunt. When RVD was selected challenge for the title, an irrate Corino started a series of attacks against the former ECW Champion. When RVD left the company in September, Corino continued his attacks against other ECW alumni, Tajiri and Sabu, which led to Corino facing Sabu at NWA Resurrection. Raven became involved in the feud, and a battle of styles continued throughout the next two months and culminated in a Hardcore Battle at NWA New Year's Eve Brawl. Corino and Masato Tanaka vs Tajiri and Sabu vs Raven and fellow Anarchy member Christopher Daniels all put thier bodies on the line in the epic battle that saw Old School prevail.[/LEFT] [CENTER] [B]NWA World Heavyweight Championship [/B][/CENTER] [LEFT]When the title was vacated after leaving TNA, a tounament was started to crown a new Champion. Eventually, it was to be Brent Albright vs Bryan Danielson, however, an injured Danielson was replaced by Adam Pearce, who won the title on the first of September. Pearce defended his title against Rob Van Dam on the first NWA Live, which ended in a Time Limit Draw. A tournament, which included Corino, Mainstream, RVD, Sabu, Tajiri, Lesnar, Dupree and Page, was then started to name a #1 Contender. Brock Lesnar won and challenged Pearce at NWA Resurrection, but lost thanks Pearce's sidekick, Bob Sapp. Meanwhile, a returning Danielson dogged Pearce, until finally cashing in his Title Shot in early December. Slyk Wagner Brown aslo got a title shot, though he did not last long against the Champ. Pearce and Sapp eventually had a falling out, and this led to Sapp vs Lesnar for the #1 Contender spot. The match ended in a No Contest after the appearence of Karl Anderson and Brent Albright. Both Sapp and Lesnar were named #1 Contenders, and Lesnar finally beat Pearce and Sapp for the Championship at New Year's Eve Brawl. [/LEFT] [CENTER][B]Other Happenings... [/B][/CENTER] [LEFT]Other note-worthy happenings have included Rene Dupree's short feud against DDP, caused by Page's early success over Dupree. Ted Hart and James Mason have also been involved in an on-going fued on NWA SV, where Hart has recruited Chad Malenko to do some or the dirty work.
