The show didn't really shape up the way I had planned those first couple months.[/I][/COLOR][/COLOR][/I][I][COLOR=black][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]This was the debut of Joey Styles, who replaced Josh Matthews. I hated getting the 'announcing wasn't up to standard' message, so both Styles and Buffer were brought in. Buffer's respect and popularity suck, so he didn't get much use at first.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]Albright vs Quackenbush was really just a last second decision, as both are great workers, so I just stuck them in a short fued to keep them busy. Also the decision to turn it into a fued with Daniels was a last second decision.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]Lita vs Melissa was really the starting point for their future fued, but wasn't planned. I really just wanted to put my two best women in a title match for the first PPV. I was unsure how to use Kong, so Lita was given the title. Plus, I wanted a bigger name with one of the belts.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]Rene Dupree vs DDP was really just the same as Albright vs Quackenbush; two workers with nothing to do. Unfortunately, bad chemistry made this match suck. Hard.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]RVD's defection to the WWE really screwed up my plans for Steve Corino, as the two were originally going to have a match at Ressurection. Sabu had to fill in for RVD, which really killed the match ratings and unfortunately kept me from building up Corino like I had planned. However, the loss of RVD did mean a change for the better, as I decided to bring in Raven and Christopher Daniels, who have both really started to perform.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]Anderson and Ryan vs Kidman and Waltman was similar to Lita vs Melissa. I wanted two bigger names with the belt, and Kidman and Waltmam were the ones who got it. I also wanted to break up Anderson and Ryan. Not really sure why, but I planned on them both forming teams to help bolster the Tag Team Division, which is what they eventually did.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]Lesnar vs Pearce is a strange fued in retrospect. I really wanted to keep the title on Pearce, as i didn't want all my belt to change right away. I really wanted to build up a few 'home-grown' stars, and Pearce fit the bill. Too bad Lesnar lost alot of popularity putting him over, but at the time, I didn't think Lesnar would be around long. Bob Sapp's involvement is really tied back to RVD's departure. When he left, I kind of went overboard looking for some big name talent to take his place. Kendrick, Daniels, Raven, and Sapp all got hired, and Sapp kind of got shoved into this fued. Which proved to be a very good thing![/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]It was a very good showing for my first PPV, but looking back, I'm sorry I didn't put the Real Deals and Joey Mainstream in the event in some form.[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER] [CENTER][I][COLOR=black]Anyway, let me know if this commentary is interesting or not.
