PW MAX...Wrestlefest II and Beyond..

[CENTER][IMG]http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m145/TDubTNA/PWMAX.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] The American Wrestling scene went through some huge changes in 2008...The powerhouses TCW and SWF fell to Cult, and a new promotion started by a young indy promoter and Sam Keith opened up and ran through all competition...PW MAX was born January 2008...Sam Keith had been fired as head booker of SWF and was then released from his contract a week later... He heard about a local indy promoter who had built his indy promotion up so much that he was bored with indy promotions and wanted to sell his promotion for a large sum of money so he could run a nationally televised promotion... Right after the show, Sam and the indy promoter met up and had a very long chat about their plans in the wrestling world...After the meeting it was clear about what they wanted to do...And PW MAX was created...Tim the indy promoter would be the owner and Sam would be the head booker...Sam and Tim had decided that they didn't want their promotion to start at cult level...They wanted to go for the gold and started off National...They would need big names....And with the fall of SWF and TCW that dream came true... Within their first few weeks they had signed some big names which were: - Rich Money - Sam Keith - Skull DeBones - Joe Sexy - The Natural - Marc DuBois - Wolf Hawkins - Eddie Chandler - Burning Taka****a - Shawn Gonzalez The roster was very strong...PW MAX had a very strong Lightweight Division...2008 was a big year for PW MAX and there were also some big changes...Sam Keith was the first PW MAX World Champion...Things changed though when he went on a tour for Japan and loved it so much that he came back and told Tim that he really wanted to wrestle in Japan to finish off his career...Of course Tim had no problem with that because he had such respect for Sam Keith... Just before Sam left though PW MAX struck gold...NOTBPW fell to Cult and the contract was up for Sean McFly...So PW MAX signed him immediately and Sam lost his heavyweight title to Sean at PW MAX's May PPV..The Rebellion... Sean held the belt all year...Also at the end of the year PW MAX had another huge signing...In the 2nd biggest news story of the year PGHW would not renew Yoshimi Mushashibo's contract...PW MAX of course snatched him up as well...So 2008 ended with PW MAX the biggest promotion in the US...NOTBPW climbed back to National as well... The end of the year awards had Wolf Hawkins win the Young Wrestler of the Year Award...PW MAX also won the MOTY award with Enforcer Roberts vs. Dark Angel at The Come Up..PW MAX's weekly show...The SOTY was the same show that had the MOTY...And the wrestler of the year was Sean McFly... 2009 started off very good...A lot of roster changes were made to make room for the younger talent...Tim Woods promised big things after PW MAX's biggest show of the year Wrestlefest II... Owen Love took advantage of being a veteran at the start...He hit numerous suplexes on Marc...Halfway through the match Marc took advantage and never looked back...He weakened Owen and locked on the Model Solution and Owen tapped out immediately... Dark Angel started the match off against Human Arsenal...Dark Angel pretty much had the upper hand most of the match until he tagged in Steven Parker...Bryan Holmes got tagged in then completely dominated Steven Parker...He had Parker tired on the opposite side of the ring for a good 5 minutes...Steven finally got the upper hand when Karen jumped on the apron and got the ref's attention...Dark Angel then came in and hit a jumping DDT on Bryan Holmes which let Steven Parker hit the Future Shock for the win... Enygma pretty much dominated the match with a reverse DDT for the win... [B]Winner: [COLOR="Red"]Enygma[/COLOR] Grade: [COLOR="SandyBrown"]C[/COLOR][/B] [B][CENTER]Match #4: Matthew Gauge vs. Tim Westybrook[/CENTER][/B] [CENTER][IMG]http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m145/TDubTNA/MatthewGauge.jpg[/IMG] vs. [IMG]http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m145/TDubTNA/TimWestybrook.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] This was a very good stiff match...The match got a much better rating than i imagined...Both men brawled with eachother...Both have incredible stamina...Tim started the match off with some very strong clotheslines... Matt took some control in the match and took a few shortcuts to make sure he had the advantage in the match...He hit a suplex on Tim for a near fall...Tim didn't take kindly to that and started throwing Matt like a rag doll from post to post...Tim then grabbed Matt and hit a TNT Whirlwind for the win... This was an entertaining fast pased match...There were a lot of high spots in this match...The high spot of the match was both the Latino Kings were on the outside and both members of Devine Seduction ran and nailed two perfect suicide dives to the outside... The ending of the match saw Seduction get on the ring apron and distract ed both Rudy and the ref while both members of Devine Seduction hit Hector with a double chairshot and made the cover for the pin... Antonio took the quick advantage to start the match...He hit a quick clotheslines to gain control of the match...He pretty much dominated the first few minutes of the match until DWN finally got some offense in the match... The end of the match saw Jennifer Heat try and interfere but it distracted Antonio enough for DWN to hit the Fisherman's Suplex for the win...Davis Wayne Newton retained his Television Championship... They are pretty much the most experienced team on our roster so I'm not surprised at how they've done in matches...They pretty much dominated most of the match with the Technicians had some offense early on...but the experience was too much and High Concept got the win... Rick Law got the early advantage with some strong right hands...He hit a nice powerslam and tries an early pin for just a one count...Rick then hits a DDT for another quick pin attempt but again only gets a one count...Rich Money gets up and seems very irritated that Rick thinks Rich is already done... The men went back and forth for minutes both getting an even amount of offense on eachother...Rich Money then tries for his finished but Rick Law slips out an nails a huge Long Arm of the Law on Rich Money and gets the pinfall for the win... This was a 4 vs. 4 Cage Wars match so the action was out of control...All of the men went at it back and forth...There were obviously a crazy amount of spots in this match...The end of the match saw Remo holding up Shawn Gonzalez and Joey Minnesota connecting with a huge DDT off the top rope on Shawn for the win... This match lived up to all the hype...It may have even surpassed the hype...It was a fast paced match...Both men had big spots in the match...During the halfway point of the match Sean wore down Yoshimi and brought him to the outside...He hit a big DDT on the outside and put Yoshimi on the commentators table...Sean then quickly ran inside the ring and got on the top rope...He then dove off and hit a huge flying elbow drop on Yoshimi that drove both men through the table... The end of the match though saw Sean get an advantage and hit his Delorian Driver for the win and capped off a huge PPV... [B]Scout vs. Enygma[/B] Enygma had a big debut win at Wrestlefest II...Can he continue his streak against the technical machine Scout? [B]Davis Wayne Newton vs. Troy Tornado[/B] Davis Wayne Newton impressed everyone in his big win at Wrestlefest II...He's never faced such a good opponent as Troy Tornado...Can Davis Wayne Newton continue his win streak or will Troy win and break the streak? [B]Joey Minnesota vs. Tim Westybrook[/B] Joey Minnesota had a big debut win at Wrestlefest II but Tim Westybrook dominated his last opponent...Is Joey ready for some stiff competition or should he haved stayed back in his old promotion? [B]Human Arsenal vs. Owen Love[/B] Both men are struggling to get any attention here in PW MAX...Both are very talented but haven't really made big names for themselves...Will someone prove they deserve a title show down the line? We'll have to wait and see... [B]Remo + Rich Money vs. The Prophecy[/B] Remo and Rich Money had big debut wins as well...This is the first tim they've teamed together in a long time...Will they be rusty teaming together or will they be a dominant team once again? [B]Rick Law vs. Antonio Marquez[/B] Rick Law won a big #1 contenders match at Wrestlefest II...Will he continue his winning ways and prove he's the next big star in PW MAX? [B][COLOR="SeaGreen"]**Main Event**[/COLOR] Yoshimi Mushashibo vs. The Natural[/B] Yoshimi proved his star power at Wrestlefest II but came up short in the end...His match with Sean McFly will go down as one of the greatest matches of all time...Will he bounce back from that loss though is the question...He has a tough task in beating the Natural... Predictions are welcomed...Hope everyone liked the PPV...It was my best PPV to date...

Devine Seduction is becoming a very good tag team quickly...They gelled together nicely and worked well with Johnny Bloodstone too...The match ended when Acid got caught by Darryl Devine and hit with a Devine Drop for the win... Both men got the same amount of offense early on...Troy Tornado then got some more offense and hit a nice dropkick that caught DWN off guard...The end of the match saw Jessie come down to the ring...DWN looked at her and expected her to stand in his corner...She just walked right past him and walked over to Troy's corner...DWN then flipped out and went to the outside and grabbed a chair and tried to nail Troy with it but Jessie grabbed it from him...Troy then grabbed the chair and nailed DWN over the head and busted him open... The match was a decent match that saw both Tim and Joey get some good offensive moves in...The end though saw Tim catch Joey with a stiff clothesline and then picked him up and hit a TNT Whirlwind for the win... This match saw Rick Law pretty much dominate the match with Antonio Marquez getting little sparks of offense here and there...The end of the match saw Rick Law hit the Long Arm of the Law on Antonio for the win...After the match though Antonio and Jennifer attracked Rick Law and left him laying in the ring all bloodied... The match was a good back amd forth match...Human Arsenal showed that he deserved to be in this match with Davis Wayne Newton...He hit some good suplexes and hit a very nice piledriver on Davis Wayne Newton...He had a good spurt of offense going in the beginning and the halfway point of the match...He hit a very nice reverse DDT on Davis Wayne Newton for a 2 count... Davis Wayne Newton is becoming a very good wrestler...He was caught off guard a little bit by Human Arsenal...I think he was over confident...he underplayed how much talent Human Arsenal had...Davis brought out some new moves tonight and hit a good holding piledriver...He had some good offense going after the midway point of the match...He definitely took over at the end of the match and showed why he's the television champion... The end of the match saw Jessie come down and watch the end of the match...Davis looked a little irritated...Human Arsenal looked even more irritated with her coming down to the ring...Human Arsenal went to the ropes and yelled at Jessie to get the hell out of there...He got so distracted Davis was able to come up behind him and hit a roll up for the win...After the match Davis yelled at Jessie...A few seconds later Troy Tornado was standing in the entrance way and both him and Davis had a staredown... Troy Tornado pretty much took over the match when Scout seemed to be uninterested with the match...Troy hit a nice Tornado DDT in the corner...He then weaked Scout enough to hit his finisher and get the win... [B]Winner: [COLOR="Red"]Troy Tornado[/COLOR] Grade: [COLOR="Cyan"]A+[/COLOR] [CENTER][/B][B]Segment:[/B][/CENTER] After the match while Troy Tornado is celebrating his win...Davis Wayne Newton comes down to the ring and attacks Troy Tornado with a ladder...He then lays the ladder down in the ring...He then picks up Troy Tornado and brings him to the corner...He then lifts him to the top rope...He then climbs the turnbuckle and delivers a huge superplex on Troy Tornado on the ladder...He then goes over and grabs a mic... [COLOR="MediumTurquoise"][I]DWN: Troy you so deserved this beatdown...You and your little girlfriend keep trying to throw me off my game...Well, it's game over...I'm challenging you right now...At the next PPV The Rebellion I challenge you to a ladder match for my Television title...And you can bring your little girlfriend with you so she can watch a man at work...[/I][/COLOR] Davis throws the mic down and rolls out of the ring and grabs his Television title and walks up the ramp and leaves Troy Tornado in a pool of blood... Enygma took advantage in the early part of the match...He is showing some decent wrestling skills..He is definitely over with the crowd...He just needs a little more work with good wrestlers and he could be right back in the main event scene... The team of Remo and Rich Money are really clicking and they seem to be taking the tag team division by storm...I'm happy I put them back together...Both could be huge main event stars but the tag team is just so good together...They just powered their way through the match and Remo hit The Destroyer on John Maverick for the win.... The Natural got some good offense going in the match...He started off with Marc DuBois...He hit a snap suplex for a quick 2 count...He then hit a piledriver for another quick 2 count...The Natural looked very good out there...He has headlines a lot of shows but never a PPV...He definitely showed why he was worthy to main event a PPV... Marc DuBois got dominated early by The Natural...He did however get some really good offense at the halfway point of the match...He hit some good fast paced moves on Yoshimi...He hit a good spin kick on Yoshimi for a 2 count...He hit a big frog splash on Angry Gilmore but only got a 2 count because he as pulled off by Yoshimi... Angry Gilmore was proving to be a very big challenge to everyone in the match...He had some good offense on everyone in the match...He hit a big DDT on The Natural for a 2 count...He also hit a big clothesline on The Natural for another 2 count..Angry and Yoshimi had some good back and forth action going...They took the match to the outside and started wrestling up the ramp...They finally came back to ringside... Marc DuBois saw a big opportunity and hit a huge suicide dive on Angry and Yoshimi while they were on the outside...The end of the match though saw Yoshimi dominate everyone and put his Yoshimi Lock on The Natural until the Natural tapped out... The Come Up #3 [CENTER][IMG]http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m145/TDubTNA/PWMAX.jpg[/IMG] [B][COLOR="Purple"]PW MAX Presents: The Come Up on American Sports 1!![/COLOR][/B][/CENTER] [B][COLOR="RoyalBlue"]Owen Love [/COLOR][B]defeated[/B] [COLOR="seagreen"]Matthew Gauge[/COLOR][/B] Good match between both men...Both are good performers but I'm not sure which direction I'm going to go with them...Owen Love could be a big star and at some point I'm sure Matthew Gauge could be too...Owen Love won a very good match between both men when he hit his finisher the Love Gun on Matthew for the 1...2...3. - [B]B+[/B] [B][COLOR="royalblue"]Enygma[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B] [B][COLOR="SeaGreen"]Human Arsenal[/COLOR][/B][/B] Enygma is on a huge roll right now...He is undefeated in PW MAX...He is rising up the cards very fast with wins over some ver y good talent...Human Arsenal was irrate after losing the match...He started kicking the ropes and was ripping the turnbuckles off in total disgust...Enygma won the match after catching Human Arsenal off guard with a victory roll. - [B]C+[/B] [B][COLOR="royalblue"]Shawn Gonzalez[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B] [COLOR="seagreen"]Antonio Marquez w/Jennifer Heat[/COLOR][/B] Very good match between both men...Shawn Gonzalez might be getting a big push soon...He seems to put on good consistent matches everytime out...Antonio is just as good if not better...Shawn though did end up winning when Jennifer Heat's distraction totally backfired and Rick Law came down and interfered and slid Shawn Gonzalez a chair and he was able to nail Antonio with a chair for the win. - [B]B+[/B] [B][COLOR="royalblue"]High Concept[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B] [COLOR="seagreen"]The Technicians[/COLOR][/B] Very good match again from these two teams in what is a rematch from Wrestlefest II...High Concept is just dominating tag teams right now...They definitely were not looking ahead to their match at the next PW MAX PPV with The Almighty Dollar because they took care of business and got the win when Elmo Benson hit a big super hurricarana and then Groucho hit a frog splash on John Maverick for the win. - [B]B+[/B] [B][COLOR="royalblue"]The Almighty Dollar[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B] [COLOR="seagreen"]The Latino Kings[/COLOR][/B] This is Almighty Dollars' warm up match for their title shot at The Rebellion...They pretty much dominated the match and totally destroyed The Latino Kings...This was as close to a squash match as you can get. - [B]B[/B] [B] [COLOR="royalblue"]Wolf Hawkins + Davis Wayne Newton[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B] [COLOR="seagreen"]Rick Law + Troy Tornado[/COLOR][/B] This was an amazing match between these four men...This match was filled with some bad blood...Davis and Troy are feuding and Rick Law is the #1 contender to Wolf's Universal Title..Wolf and Davis did pretty good together and so did Troy and Rick...The match had a bad ending when Antonio Marquez came down and interfered and distracted Rick Law...The two pretty much fought all the way up the ramp and that left Troy Tornado all by himself and Wolf and Davis just took advantage and dominated the rest of the match for the win. - [B]A+[/B] [I](After the match Davis Wayne Newton, Wolf Hawkins and Antonio Marquez all teamed up and beat down Troy Tornado and Rick Law...Wolf and Davis held Troy Tornado up while Antonio nailed Rick Law with numerous chair shots...After a minute of this Shawn Gonzalez came out from the back and cleared the ring and checked up on both Rick and Troy)[/I] - [B]C-[/B] [B][COLOR="royalblue"]Marc DuBois[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B][COLOR="seagreen"] Johnny Bloodstone and The Natural[/COLOR][/B] Very good match between these three men...All could be main event stars but Marc DuBois is probably the biggest rising star in the company...The Natural seems to be fading as of late and Johnny Bloodstone is showing that he was a very good signing for PW MAX...Marc DuBois though took control of this match and got the win when he hit the Marc of Excellence on The Natural. - [B]A+[/B] [I](A Hype Video plays showing the competitors for the main event of the show)[/I] [B]B-[/B] [B]**Main Event**[/B] [B][COLOR="royalblue"]Yoshimi Mushashibo[/COLOR] [B]defeated[/B] [COLOR="SeaGreen"]Angry Gilmore[/COLOR][/B] Great match between these two...Yoshimi proves why he is the #1 contender for the World Title...Angry Gilmore is no slouch though and he proved that he was also a big signing for PW MAX...He could be a main event star sometime down the line but Yoshimi is just on a roll and is definitely ready to face Sean McFly again for McFly vs. Mushashibo II..Yoshimi won this great match with a Yoshimi Lock. - [B]A+[/B] [B]Overall Grade: B+ TV Rating: 28.30 TV MEX: 1.36[/B] [QUOTE][B]Quick Results:[/B] Owen Love d. So I've just added my predictions here just now. :) I like the TV format being different from the PPV format... makes PPVs special. [url]www.cooltext.com[/url] is a handy site for making PPV banners if you are into that sort of thing. I used to use it a lot for when I was writing diaries but nowadays... well, I like just playing games at my pace and helping with WMMA. :D (BTW, it's awesome) EDIT: forgot to add that you could play off Rick Law vs Rich Money from days gone by in USPW. Afterall, back in 2004 they were the two brightest stars in the compay before Rich joined SWF and Law joined TCW (to work with Sam Strong, who left months later :)). They helped put USPW on the map, I don't see why that shouldn't be continued in a more intense fashion here.
