We are live on Sci-Fi! Tonight, in Florence, SC, the ECW Champion CM Punk is in action against a man our general manager Armando Estrada knows very well. Tazz: Right Joey, Umaga is on ECW tonight. I mean, we’ve speculated for weeks that Armando Estrada was out to remove that ECW Title from CM Punk. And the fact that Punk has to face Umaga this close to Wrestlemania while Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin get the night off is just ridiculous. Styles: The deck has been stacked once again against the champion. But how many times in the past have we seen CM Punk rebel against authority and emerge victorious? Also tonight, we have… well, I guess we’re kicking things off with Big Daddy V. Tazz: Well here he comes now, being lead as always by Matt Striker. I mean, tonight, this thing with Tommy Dreamer has gotta come to an end. Styles: And under ‘Extreme Rules’, no-one should count out the innovator of violence, Tommy Dreamer. ‘Extreme Rules Match’ Tommy Dreamer v Big Daddy V *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: Dreamer… what a shot to the head with that chair… and another… and a third. Tommy Dreamer just unloading on Big Daddy V! Tazz: Look at that chair, it’s all dented and twisted. Styles: Dreamer is running on sheer rage here. This payback for all the attacks he has suffered from in recent weeks. Tazz: I haven’t seen this out of Tommy Dreamer since we were back in the old ECW. Styles: Dreamer now… digging under the ring and… oh my God! He just pulled out cane! Dreamer, about to… oh, from behind, Matt Striker with a chair. Tazz: It’s all legal. Big Daddy V back in charge now. Styles: V going for a cover on the floor, 1-2… kick out by Dreamer. Falls count anywhere of course under ‘Extreme Rules’. Tazz: V now throwing Dreamer back into the ring. Is he looking to finish this thing off now? Styles: Dreamer is down, and V coming off the ropes… oh, he just splashed Dreamer. Tazz: He just engulfed him, I can’t even see him under there. Styles: Here’s a cover, 1-2… Dreamer kicks out again. What resilience by Dreamer and… Matt Striker just threw a trash can into the ring. Tazz: Well, I guess he’s looking for V to take out the trash here. Styles: V has Dreamer set up in the corner… V running in and… nobody home. Dreamer, shots to the face and… he just put that trash can on V’s head. Tazz: What the hell is he doing? Styles: Dreamer now… ow! Oh my God! He just smashed that trash can with that cane! Tazz: Big Daddy V’s head was in there I mean… God that had to hurt. Styles: Dreamer now… setting up in the corner and… oh! Dropkick to the head of V! And he’s still got that trash can on his face! Tazz: God Tommy Dreamer pulling out all the stops here. Styles: Dreamer… cane in hand. Going to the second rope… V stagers back to his feet and… oh my God! Dreamer just smashed V with that cane off the second rope! Here’s the cover… 1-2-3! And Tommy Dreamer, wins the ‘Extreme Rules’ match against Big Daddy V. Tazz: Great effort by Dreamer I mean… he went all out and he got the win. Styles: And listen to this crowd in South Carolina. The ‘ECW’ chants ringing out. Tazz: Well I’ve talked a lot lately about the values of old school ECW and that was it right there. Styles: Who better to live up to those values than the heart and soul of ECW, Tommy Dreamer! Tommy Dreamer beat Big Daddy V (C+) ---- *we cut backstage to Anastacia Rose* Rose: Please welcome my guests at this time, they are the number one contenders for the ECW Title at Wrestlemania, Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin. Now guys, I have to ask you, do you think you guys can still get along despite the fact that you’re going into a triple threat match with the ECW Championship on the line? Benjamin: What kinda question is that? You did this to us last time we talked to you. You tried to ask us questions and turn us against each other. Look… me and Burke, we’re friends. We’re business associates. But we know, that this Sunday at Wrestlemania, when it comes to it, the better man is going to win. Burke: Exactly. I mean… we’ve both proven that we can beat CM Punk. Infact, I think that this Sunday, it’s going to come down to a fight between me and Shelton. CM Punk isn’t in our league. As far as I’m concerned, he’s an afterthought for this match. I’m already looking past him and looking at the challenge of my man Shelton. Benjamin: Yeah, so we’re sorry, but this week, you ain’t going to get us arguing with each other. We going to do our thing tonight, and we going to sit back and watch the show. And then on Sunday, the better man while win. Tazz: Well even though I don’t like either of those two guys, I got to say they’re keeping it together right now. And that’s bad news for CM Punk. Styles: Tazz I can’t believe that their friendship is going to last the triple threat ECW Title match at Wrestlemania. I mean, if CM Punk is going to lose the tile, it can only be to one of them. Tazz: I realise that but I think if they can… Styles: Sorry to interrupt Tazz, but here comes Kevin Thorn. A man who has his own date with destiny this Sunday at Wrestlemania. Tazz: Well when he made that challenge to Batista for the match at Wrestlemania… I gotta admit it shocked me. But since then, I have seen an incredibly focused Kevin Thorn, and right now, I believe that he can do it this Sunday. Styles: Well Kevin Thorn is in action when we return! Kevin Thorn v Nunzio *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: We haven’t seen Nunzio for a while on Sci-Fi, but as always tonight he’s been a tough competitor. Tazz: Yeah but I mean Kevin Thorn is just too strong and too powerful tonight. Styles: Thorn now, with a kick to the gut… sends Nunzio off the ropes and… oh, a huge boot to the face by Thorn. Tazz: This match has not been pretty as far as Nunzio is concerned. Styles: Thorn now… looking like he’s setting him up for… crucifix powerbomb! Here’s the cover, 1-2-3. It’s over folks. Kevin Thorn looking dominant in the run in to Wrestlemania. Tazz: Well we talked about how focused Kevin Thorn has been lately and that was a very focused performance from him tonight. Styles: And what does this mean for… hey, wait… it’s Batista! The Animal Batista is here! Tazz: What the hell is he doing here? Styles: Well he has a microphone so… Batista: Thorn… I just wanted to come out here and say… this Sunday at Wrestlemania… your ass is mine! If you think you’re going to go to Wrestlemania and make a name for yourself by beating me… you got another thing coming. Wrestlemania… is my show. I have won championships there. And I’ll be damned if I’m going to let a jackass like you beat me on the biggest show of the year. So Thorn… you better get ready for Sunday… and you better get ready for the beating of a lifetime! Styles: The Animal Batista walking into the land of extreme and delivering an intense message to Kevin Thorn. Tazz: Man that match is looking good. I mean Batista is out to put himself back into the title frame on Smackdown, and Kevin Thorn is looking to make a name for himself on the biggest show of the year. I can’t wait! Kevin Thorn beat Nunzio (C+) ---- *we cut backstage to Armando Estrada* Estrada: Hey, hey… Mr McMahon how are you? Shane: Estrada how’s it going? Well, as I promised you, Umaga is here. Estrada: Umaga good to see you again amigo. Shane: Umaga… you get that? Umaga? Estrada: Still not with the English huh? Shane: No I guess not, I guess not. Anyway, why did you want Umaga here tonight? Estrada: Amigo… I am sick and tired of CM Punk as the ECW Champion. I want him out… and I have two guys who want to beat the hell out of him at Wrestlemania. And tonight… I need Umaga to soften Punk up before this Sunday. Shane: Alright, OK. You down with that big guy? Huh? He’s cool with it, he’s cool. He’ll get it done. Styles: Well, we’ve been saying it for weeks but we jus heard it right there, Armando Estrada wants that ECW Title off of CM Punk’s shoulder, and he wants it to happen at Wrestlemania. Tazz: You know what? I’m all about competition, but this is beyond that. This is just Armando Estrada deciding he doesn’t want the champ to be the champ anymore. It doesn’t matter that Burke and Benjamin didn’t earn their shot. It doesn’t matter that Punk has been a great champion. Armando Estrada has decided enough is enough, and I think it stinks. Styles: Well, here comes Kenny Dykstra, a young man who has been on a meteoric rise in the last few months. He teams with John Morrison to face Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio, in a Money in the Bank tag team match. And that match is next. Kenny Dykstra and John Morrison v Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: … interesting to note in this match that we have a former world heavyweight champion, two former intercontinental champions and a young guy that could go on to be a world champion some day. Tazz: Right I mean there’s so much talent in this match, it’s hard to pick a winner so far. Styles: And the prospect of these four in Money in the Bank I mean… it makes it hard to pick a winner for that match too. Tazz: But what a match it could be… Styles: Absolutely. And Jeff Hardy has been the target for most of the offence from Dykstra and Morrison so far. He has to be one of the favourites going into Wrestlemania. Tazz: I think he is yeah, but there is so much talent in that match that… Styles: Wait, here’s a cover, 1-2… kick out at 2 by Jeff Hardy. Morrison now, tags in Dykstra. And Kenny comes in with a shot to the ribs, driving the shoulder in. Morrison and Dykstra looking to keep Hardy in their corner of the ring. Tazz: Smart strategy I mean, you keep him grounded and you keep Rey Mysterio on the outside. Styles: Dykstra… slams Hardy to the mat. Dykstra now… going upstairs… Kenny Dykstra, off the top rope and… misses with the legdrop. Tazz: Nobody home for Kenny, both men down now. Styles: Referee starts to count. Both men are inching towards their corner. Tag made, here comes Morrison… here comes Mysterio. Rey into the ring, ducks a clothesline… fires back with those kicks to the thigh… and another one. Rey off the ropes… hurricanrana! Tazz: God Rey Mysterio coming in with so much fire and so much athleticism… Styles: Rey now… off the ropes… crossbody. Here’s a cover, 1-2… and Morrison in to make the save. Hardy comes in… takes both men to the outside. Dykstra charges at Rey… drop toe hold… Rey off the ropes… 619 connects! Dykstra is down… Hardy going upstairs… looking for a… oh! Morrison just pushed Hardy off the top rope. Tazz: Man hard landing for Jeff… Styles: Wait… Dykstra from behind, the roll-up… 1-2… he’s got the tights… 3. And Kenny Dykstra, grabbing the tights and gets the win. Tazz: Wow. Well, he may have cheated to get it, but what a huge win for Dykstra and Morrison. Styles: What does this mean for Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania? Kenny Dykstra and John Morrison beat Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio (B) ---- *we cut backstage to CM Punk* Punk: Come in… hey man what’s up? Batista: Listen… I just want to say good luck tonight. Umaga’s a tough guy… but I know you can do it. Punk: Thanks man. Batista: And uh… if you ever lose that title… I’m sure you’d be welcome on Smackdown. Punk: Oh don’t worry man… I don’t plan on letting this go. But thanks anyway. Batista: Alright man… go get him. Styles: Wow… a huge level of respect paid by Batista. Tazz: Well that just shows you respected CM Punk is. The former world heavyweight champion Batista telling him he’d be a great addition to Smackdown. I hope he doesn’t leave. Styles: I’m sure CM Punk is more focused on retaining his ECW Title this Sunday at Wrestlemania. He has more… well, here comes the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga. Tazz: And you know what that means. Styles: It’s tonight’s main event. Umaga one on one with the ECW Champion CM Punk! CM Punk v Umaga *we join the match near its conclusion* Tazz: Umaga, he’s been like a hired gun almost lately. Ever since Shane McMahon brought him into Team McMahon for Wrestlemania, he’s been doing pretty much what Shane O’Mac has wanted. Styles: And that has lead us to tonight, where he is here under orders from Armando Estrada to soften up CM Punk. Tazz: And I really don’t agree with that. I mean, I know Armando Estrada and CM Punk don’t get along, but this is just so blatant. Styles: Well Umaga is certainly doing a good job tonight, as he gives CM Punk another shot to midsection. Umaga sends Punk into the corner… man, so much force behind that Punk is left hanging upside down… Umaga off the ropes… diving headbutt. Punk slumps to the mat. Tazz: Here’s a cover… Styles: 1-2… kick out by Punk. That could’ve been it right there. Umaga… looking so dominant… has Punk up… gets him up… Tazz: Oh no not this… Styles: Umaga… looking for that Samoan Drop… no, wait… Punk reverses it… down the back with a roll up… 1-2… kick out by Umaga. Tazz: Just like that, the ECW Champ nearly turned it around and grabbed the win. Styles: Punk now back to his feet… kick to the head… staggers Umaga… there’s another shot by Punk. Punk, off the ropes… dropkick connects. CM Punk now, finally getting Umaga off his feet. Tazz: He’s looking good right now… Styles: CM Punk now… going for the GTS… can he get him up? Umaga… pounds on CM Punk’s back, breaking it up. I thought he was going to hit the GTS but Umaga was just too powerful. Tazz: Right and Umaga was able to use his weight to keep himself grounded. Styles: Umaga, he’s looking to go for the Samoan Drop again… he has Punk up… no, Punk reverses again… oh my God! He did it! He got him up… Go To Sleep! GTS connects! Here’s the cover, 1-2-3! CM Punk pulled a GTS out of nowhere for the win! Tazz: God… that’s incredible strength to get Umaga up for that. Styles: Burke and Benjamin… were you guys watching that? Tazz: Yeah I bet those two aren’t so smug now. CM Punk is going to ‘Mania with all the momentum on his side. Styles: It all comes to a head this Sunday. Punk, Burke and Benjamin. Who will leave Wrestlemania as the ECW Champion? This is Friday Night Smackdown. We are in Florence, SC. And Coach, I have to ask you, do you think we will finally see the Undertaker make an appearance tonight? Coach: You know every week I say no, we won’t see him, but tonight, I have to believe that we will finally see the Undertaker. He’s been taunting, or should that be haunting, Edge for weeks. And tonight, I am saying that the Undertaker is here and we will hear from tonight. Cole: Also tonight, we have Finlay against the man who will be in Vince McMahon’s corner this Sunday at Wrestlemania, the Great Khali. Coach: Well Mr McMahon has been trying for weeks to… Cole: Wait a minute… it’s Batista! We are kicking things off tonight with the Animal, Batista. Batista: I just wanted to come out here… to send Kevin Thorn a message. I told him on Tuesday night on Sci-Fi that I wasn’t a guy who you want to mess with. And Thorn, I’m telling you one more time… you don’t want to get into a fight with me. I am not the guy who is going to give you that big win you want to push you in this company. I am a former World Heavyweight Champion… I have fought some of the best in this business at Wrestlemania, and just because you… *YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME* Cole: Well here comes Edge. What is he doing out here? Coach: I guess he just got bored of hearing Batista talking. Edge: What the hell are you doing out here? Why are you out here… talking about your match with Kevin Thorn? You know what… Smackdown is my show. I don’t want to listen to you. No-one wants to listen to you. You are the former World Heavyweight Champion. You are the past. I am the present… and I am the future of Smackdown. You may have carried this show while I was out injured… but now I’m back, you’re not needed round here. You have no business being out here… *GONG* Coach: No! Not this again! Cole: The lights go out and… I can’t see a thing. *GONG* Edge: What the hell is this? Who the hell is… you… it’s you isn’t Batista? Batista: What? Edge: You’re the guy that’s been doing all this crap. You’re the guy that’s been making the lights going out every week. Batista: Have you lost it or something? I haven’t been doing anything to the lights. Edge: Yeah right… you expect me to believe this? Batista: Believe what you want man. I’m out of here. Coach: Yeah you better walk away Batista. Cole: Oh! From behind Edge, attacking Batista. Coach: This is exactly what he deserves. Cole: Batista now… back to his feet. Rights and lefts to Edge… clothesline over the top. Batista just cleared Edge out of here! Edge is backing away from the ring. Coach: This doesn’t matter. What matters is that now we know who has doing all that stuff with the lights. It was Batista! ---- Cole: We’re back from commercial folks and up next, Deuce is one on one with Festus Dalton. Festus Dalton v Deuce *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Festus charging in… just crushed Deuce in the corner. Deuce staggers out… runs into a big boot. Here’s a cover, 1-2… kick out at 2. Coach: The transformation in Festus when that bell rings is huge. Look at him in that ring, he looks so focused and so intense. Cole: Festus… scoops Deuce up… and slams him down. Festus off the ropes, drops the knee. Here’s another cover, 1-2… kick out again by Deuce. Deuce and Domino have been on such a roll lately, they must be considered strong contenders for the tag team titles? Coach: Well I have to think that as soon as Morrison and Miz stop hiding on ECW and actually come to Smackdown and start defending those belts, then we’ll see Deuce and Domino back in the title picture. Cole: Festus again comes off the ropes… Domino hits him from behind, Deuce takes advantage with the clothesline. And Jesse heads over there to warn Domino off, but the damage is done. Coach: Well, it’s smart strategy. If Domino can give his partner Deuce a hand from the outside, he’s going to do it. Cole: Deuce now… forearm to head. Now with more shots in the corner. Trying to keep him down, but the big guy battling back. Coach: The more you hit him the angrier he gets. Cole: Festus now… he has Deuce up and… no wit, Deuce reverses it, DDT. Here’s a cover, 1-2-3! Deuce gets the win. Coach: And Festus doesn’t even now what happened. Look at that look on his face. Cole: Well the big guy came after Deuce with a lot of power, looked like he was going to put him away for the win, but a great reversal seals it for Deuce. Deuce beat Festus Dalton (C+) ---- *we cut backstage to Vickie Guerrero* Vickie: Edge? Edge? Oh my God Edge? Are you OK? Edge: Did you see that? Did you see what Batista did? It’s him, it’s him. I know it’s him. He’s the guy that’s been doing all the stuff with the lights. I know it’s him. Vickie: But why would Batista do this to you? Edge: He’s still mad at me for taking the title off him at Armageddon. He wants me to lose to the Undertaker. He wants that title off of me. Well… I want Batista in a match tonight. I’m going to kick the crap out of Batista and make sure he never makes it to Wrestlemania. Just like I did for the Undertaker. Vickie: OK… you got it. You and Batista… one on one tonight. Cole: What? Edge and Batista one on one tonight? Coach: What a match that’s going to be. Cole: I can’t wait for that. But here comes Chuck Palumbo. A man who has been on a tough losing streak lately. Can he break it tonight against Jimmy Wang Yang? Chuck Palumbo v Jimmy Wang Yang *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Coach, in recent weeks we have slowly seen Chuck Palumbo, losing his cool after every loss. Every week, he slowly slips toward almost a mental breakdown it seems. Coach: He loses matches, he lost his cool, he lost his girl. Things are not going well for Chuck right now, and eventually he’s going to snap. Cole: Well let’s hope he can gain a victory tonight and regain some focus here. Coach: Well he’s up against Jimmy Wang Yang, a goy who bases his offence on high flying, fast pace. Palumbo, full of power, he needs… Cole: Oh! We just saw that power there, Palumbo just caught Jimmy with a huge boot to the face. Here’s a cover, 1-2… kick out at two. Coach: And that’s what I was talking about, Chuck Palumbo could be a major player on Smackdown if he could learn to keep everything under control in the ring. Cole: Palumbo now, scoops Jimmy up… running powerslam. Going for the cover, no… Chuck pulled out of it. Obviously feels he hasn’t done enough yet. Coach: Well Jimmy Wang Yang is a tough guy but I thought that was a as a good a time as any to go for the pin. Cole: Palumbo now, looking to finish this off with the full throttle… has him up and… hey, wait, Jimmy round the back, reversal, here’s a roll up… 1-2-3! Jimmy Wang Yang gets the win. Coach: And that is a major upset right there. Cole: And Jimmy now… offering a hand to Chuck Palumbo. It was a good, fair match and Jimmy got the… hey, wait… Palumbo just kicked Jimmy in the face. What the hell is he doing? Coach: He’s snapped Michael Cole. He’s finally had enough. Cole: And Shannon Moore in and… he goes up… down hard with the powerbomb! Jimmy back up… full throttle! Chuck Palumbo has snapped and just laid out Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore. This is completely uncalled for. Coach: It was bound to happen sooner or later Cole. Jimmy Wang Yang beat Chuck Palumbo (C-) ---- *we cut backstage to Eve Torres* Torres: Please welcome my guests at this time, Kenny Dykstra and the United States Champion, MVP. And guys, tonight you face Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy. And after you pinned Rey on ECW on Tuesday, you must be feeling confident Kenny? Kenny: Of course I am. I am the hottest young rising star on Smackdown. When I pinned Rey Mysterio, I let everybody that’s going to be in Money in the Bank this Sunday that I am the favourite to win. I beat Jeff Hardy and Rey, and I already hold a win over Kane. I am going into Wrestlemania the guy everybody is looking over their shoulders at. And tonight, with MVP’s help, we are going to pin Rey and Matt and then everybody will know that I am leaving Wrestlemania this Sunday as Mr Money in the Bank. MVP: Listen up Eve, it’s real simple OK? I am Mr Half-man, half amazing. Kenny here is about to be Mr Money in the Bank. We could be the best tag team in Smackdown history. And remember, I was a tag team champion with Matt Hardy. I know how he works. I know everything about him. So I’m going to beat him tonight, then I’m going to beat him this Sunday at Wrestlemania. As for you Rey Mysterio, you tried to take my United States title off of me, but you failed little man. And you ain;t going to get anywhere near me tonight either. Coach: Well I think it’s safe to say that those two guys together in a team could tear up the tag team division here on Smackdown. Cole: I’m sure they could but Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio will be one hell of a tag team as well I’m sure. Coach: Yeah but they have nothing on… Cole: Oh! Well… here comes the Big Red Machine Kane! Kane, who is also going into Money in the Bank this Sunday. He has a score to settle with the man he’s facing next. It’s Kane one on one with the Miz, when we return. Kane v The Miz *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Miz, sends Kane off the ropes, Kane now… Morrison on the apron, getting in Kane’s face… Kane knocks him to the floor. Turns around… Miz runs into a clothesline! Coach: Kane now, looking like he’s good for the win here. Cole: Kane… has Miz up… going for a chokeslam… wait, Morrison grabbing Miz. Saving him from the chokeslam. Coach: Are Miz and Morrison taking off? Cole: The tag team champions seem to be leaving this match… Kane chasing them down the aisle. He’s not going to let them leave. He wants to pay Miz back for last week. Coach: You guys better start running… Cole: Kane catches up with them… shot to Morrison, down he goes… scooping Miz up… Kane is going to carry Miz back to the ring. Coach: That’s amazing strength right there. To put a man on your shoulders and carry him back down the aisle and into the ring is… Cole: And Miz… tossed into the ring. Kane… has him up again… chokeslam! Here’s the cover, 1-2-3! And Kane gets some revenge on Miz. Kane picks up a win just two days before Wrestlemania. Coach: And nobody should rule out the Big Red Machine for Money in the Bank. Kane beat The Miz (C) ---- *we cut backstage to Edge and the Edge-heads* Edge: OK… guys I gotta ask… where did you guys go last week? Huh? When the lights went out, where did you guys go? Where you scared or something? Curt: No man… I don’t even remember. I mean, we were there beating up Finlay, then the lights went out and… Zack: Next thing I know we woke up in a trash can in the parking lot. Edge: And you can’t remember any of it? Zack: No… I mean… I don’t know what to say boss. Curt: We’re sorry but… maybe he is really back. Maybe it was the Undertaker. Edge: Don’t ever say that again OK? It was Batista… he knocked out the lights and then knocked you two guys out to save Finlay. But it won’t happen again this week… I guarantee it. Cole: God… well I can only imagine what the Edge-heads went through last week but… is Edge living in denial or was it really Batista? Coach: It was Batista. It had to be Batista. Who else could it be? Cole: I think we both know the answer to that, but… here comes, the man who will be in Mr McMahon’s corner this Sunday at Wrestlemania. Here comes the Great Khali. Khali and FInlay square off next. Finlay v The Great Khali *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Khali… hard shot with the elbow. Khali keeping Finlay trapped in the corner… another elbow connects. Coach: The odds are going to be stacked against Finlay at Wrestlemania. Let’s remember, this Hornswoggle Custody Battle is going to be a street fight. And while that may sound like an advantage for Finlay against Mr McMahon, the Great Khali puts everything back into Mr McMahons favour. Cole: You have to hope that somehow, Finlay can keep the Great Khali out of the match so he can focus on Mr McMahon. Khali now… with his hands around the throat of Finlay… tossing him to the mat. Coach: Khali has been so dominant. You need something to happen in your favour if you’re going to beat this man. You need a MVP hitting Khali in the head with a belt, like wht helped Matt Hardy win. You need something like that. Otherwise you’re in a whole heap of trouble. Cole: Khali… stalking Finaly now… lining him up and… oh no! The Khali Vice grip! He’s got it locked in. Coach: And look at the look on Hornswoggle’s face. There’s nothing you can do little guy. Cole: The life literally being crushed out of Finlay. I think… I think he’s out. And the referee calls for the bell. This one is over. Finlay just passed out from the pain. Khali wins. Coach: And look at the look of anguish on Hornswoggle. He better not get too close to Khali on Sunday or that’s what awaits him. Cole: But what awaits Finlay in the street fight this Sunday at Wrestlemania? The Great Khali beat Finlay (B-) ---- *we cut backstage to Eve Torres* Torres: Please welcome my guests at this time, Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy. And Rey, after Kenny Dykstra pinned you on Sci-Fi last Tuesday, are you worried that it could happen again tonight? Rey: No I’m not worried. Because tonight, I have the advantage. Kenny Dykstra, you and I both know you had to cheat to pin me on ECW. Now I know what kind of tricks you like to pull, I’ll be ready for you. And tonight, me and Matt Hardy are going to be the ones sending out the messages. Matt: Yeah that’s right. MVP, you’ve dodged me for long enough. I’m back, and I’m healthy. And this Sunday at Wrestlemania, it’s just you and me. And tonight, me and the Rey-man are going get the win. And you MVP, you’re going to find out what happens when you try screw with my career. Let’s go Rey. Cole: Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio sound very confident ahead of this match tonight. And here comes Kenny Dykstra now. It’s MVP and Kenny Dykstra taking on Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio next. Kenny Dykstra and Montel Vontavious Porter v Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Hardy hits out with a right hand… and another. Matt Hardy fighting out of the corner. Sends Dykstra to the ropes… Kenny read the back body drop. Takes Hardy down with the DDT. Both men down now. Coach: Both men need to make tag right now. Cole: Dykstra tags in MVP… he runs over… grabs Matt Hardy by the leg, stops him making the tag… oh! Hardy connects with that enziguiri. Hardy… dives for the corner and makes the tag. Here comes Rey. Mysterio… tilt-a-whirl! Down goes MVP. Here comes Dykstra… hurricanrana! Here’s a cover 1-2… wait, reversal, 1-2… kick out by Rey. Coach: As soon as Rey Mysterio entered the ring, the pace picked up. Cole: The high flyer… off the ropes… dropkick to the knee. Dykstra goes down again. Rey now, picking up speed and… MVP just rocked him with a clothesline. Coach: Man what a shot that was! Cole: MVP now, no wait, Matt Hardy back up… clothesline takes MVP to the outside. Hardy and MVP, brawling on the outside. Hardy… looking to drive MVP… hey wait… where is MVP going? Coach: Uh… well I think he’s had enough. He’s leaving. Cole: And Dykstra stood in the ring… looking down the aisle at MVP. Coach: I don’t think shouting at him is going to help Kenny. Cole: Uh oh… turn around Kenny. Coach: No don’t turn around! Cole: Kenny Dykstra left alone in the ring with Mysterio and Hardy. And Rey and Matt unloading on Kenny with kicks and right hands. Coach: This is totally unfair… Cole: Hardy now… twist of fate! Rey going upstairs… frog splash! Great double team… here’s the cover, 1-2-3! Mysterio and Hardy get the win. Coach: God… I can’t believe this match was allowed to continue after MVP left. I think MVP had some kind of injury and was unable to continue so he… Cole: Oh c’mon Coach.. There was nothing wrong with MVP. He just abandoned Kenny. And Rey Mysterio gets his own back against the youngster. Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio beat Kenny Dykstra and Montel Vontavious Porter (B) ---- *we cut backstage to Finlay and Hornswoggle* Finlay: You alright little man? I know, I know… Vince: Finlay… how you feeling? Huh? Boy, that Khali… he’s quite the force huh? Yeah… and he’s going to be in my corner this Sunday at Wrestlemania. And do you know what’s going to happen this Sunday? Finlay: Yeah… I’m going to kick your arse! Vince: No… nice try but no. You see… you can try and beat me up and kick my ass… but if you do, I’ll set Khali on you… then I’ll set him on this little bastard. And you don’t want that Finlay. You’re the great protector. But how you going to protect Hornswoggle… when you’re out cold on the mat? Finlay: Listen Vince… I’m getting sick and tired of you coming in here and talking to me. I’ll let my work in the ring do my talking for me. And at the end of this… I don’t ever want to see you come near me or Hornswoggle again. Vince: Oh don’t worry… you’ll be out of my company… and out of my life! Coach: Well I guess we saw Finlay for the last time on Smackdown tonight. Cole: Well I always felt Finlay would beat Mr McMahon… but after hearing the Great Khali was going to be in Mr McMahon’s corner and after seeing what the Great Khali did tonight… now, I’m not so… Coach: He’s going to lose, right? That’s what you’re trying to say Cole. He’s going to lose this Sunday. And when he does, we’ll see… Cole: Well… thank God somebody shut you up… here comes Batista! The Animal is in action next against the World Heavyweight Champion Edge. That match is next! Coach: What do you mean someone shut me up… ‘Non Title Match’ Edge v Batista *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Well Edge wanted this match and Vickie Guerrero granted it, and now I see why. Hawkins and Ryder both at ringside, and they have made their presence felt in this match so far. Coach: What? I mean they’re Edge’s boys I mean… they’re just out here supporting him. Cole: They’ve been a lot more than a cheering squad. They’ve both got involved by taking cheap shots at Batista and… again, Hawkins choking Batista on the bottom rope. Coach: What happened? I didn’t see it. Cole: Edge now… applying that chinlock to on Batista. Looking to keep the pressure on. Batista…trying to feed off of this crowd, fights back to his feet. Elbow to Edge… and another. Batista off the ropes, takes Edge down with a shoulder block. Batista, off the ropes again… knocks Edge down with a clothesline. Coach: If the Edge-heads were ever going to get involved in this match now would be a good time… Cole: Will you shut up? Batista… lining Edge up… spinebuster! Batista hits a huge spinebuster and… Hawkins in the ring… he runs into a spinebustet too. Oh! From behind, Ryder with a chair… and now the beating begins. Hawkins and Ryder just brutalizing Batista. Coach: The Edge-heads just saving the day again… Cole: This is more than that, this is destroying Batista ahead of his match at Wrestlemania this Sunday. This is totally uncalled for. Coach: This is what Batista deserves. He’s the guy that has been doing that stuff with the lights. He deserves every inch of this beating. Cole: Hawkins and Ryder now… lining Batista up for… a con-chair-to! A con-chair-to to Batista. And look at Edge directing traffic. Coach: What every good champion knows is that… *GONG* Coach: No! No! How is this happening? Batista is in the middle of the ring! Cole: Well that can mean only one thing… it’s… Coach: Don’t you dare say it. Cole: It’s the… *GONG* Cole: It’s the Undertaker! The Undertaker is back! Edge getting out of there… Batista… Batista-bomb to Hawkins! Undertaker… tombstone to Ryder! The Undertaker is back! And he’s standing tall in the centre of the ring! Coach: This is not good… Cole: The Undertaker is back! And he’s going to Wrestlemania! The Undertaker and Edge… one on one this Sunday! The World Heavyweight Title is on the line! Wrestlemania XXIV Preview 'Money in the Bank' Ladder Match Kenny Dykstra v Rey Mysterio v John Morrison v Kane v Brian Kendrick v Jeff Hardy The annual Money in the Bank ladder match kicks off the show this year, with all six men capable of winning it. Youngster Kenny Dykstra qualified first, and he has been impressive on Smackdown lately. Brian Kendrick was a surprise qualififer, but his high flying style will be a bug advantage in this match. Former World champions Kane and Rey Mysterio have won on the bug stage of Wrestlemania before, and will both be considered favourites. Jeff Hardy was the last man to qualify, and the former Intercontinetal champion has been here before, but has always favoured the high spot moments that have taken him out of contention for the win. With a guaranteed title shot at stake, all six men will be giving everything to grab the briefcase and become Mr Money In The Bank! 'I Quit' Match Chris Jericho v John Bradshaw Layfield The hatred between these two has escalated in recent weeks on Raw, and both men want an end to their rivalry tonight. It has coem to the point that the only way to end it is for one man to say "I Quit". Jericho has an advantage with his submission skills, but JBL is a powerful brawler that could thrive under the anything goes rules. Who will win and come out on top in one of the most heated rivalries seen in years? United States Title Match Montel Vontavious Porter v Matt Hardy After months of avoiding Matt Hardy, MVP must finally face him with the title on the line. Hardy has been red hot since he made his return from injury, and will be looking to win the first major singles title of his career. Will Hardy finally finish off MVP and grad the gold? Or will MVP hold on to the title he has held for so long? Women's Title Match Beth Phoenix v Mickie James v Melina v Candice Michelle The Glamazon has been dominant ever since her title reign started. With three challengers facing her tonight, it would be wise for the others to take her out of the match and then go at with each other. With Candice, Mickie and Melina all former Women's champions, will Phoenix retain or will we have a new champion? Batista v Kevin Thorn Thorn wanted to make a name for himself on the biggest stage of them all. The fact that he picked a fight with the former World Champion Batista shows he has guts. But the Animal is out for the win to put him back into title contention. Will Thorn get the win he needs to elevate his career? Or will Batista show he is still championship material? 'Hornswoggle Custody Battle' Vince McMahon w/ The Great Khali v Finlay w/ Hornswoggle Mr McMahon wants Hornswoggle out of his life and out of his company. Finlay has put his career on the line to save the little guy. Finlay would be the favourite going into any street fight, but having Khali in his corner gives McMahon the advantage. Will this be the last time we see Finlay and Hornswoggle in the WWE? Or will Vince get his way and kick them out of the business? Mr Kennedy v Bobby Lashley Ever since Lashley came back from injury, he wanted to get his hands on Kennedy. It all seemed to be over after Lashley beat Kennedy at No Way Out. But Kennedy refused to let it go, and demanded this rematch. A victory tonight could see either man elevated back into the Raw title picture. Who will win and end this rivalry? ECW Title Match CM Punk v Shelton Benjamin v Elijah Burke GM Armando Estrada has stacked the deck against the champion CM Punk. He faces Burke and Benjamin in a triple threat match, were he wouldn't have to be involved in the pinfall to lose his title. But cracks have been showing in the friendship between Burke and Benjamin lately. Can Punk take advantage and retain his title? Or will we leave Wrestlemania with a new ECW Champion? 'DX' Triple H and Shawn Michaels v 'Team McMahon' Shane McMahon, Umaga and The Big Show Shane McMahon has vowed to do what his father coudln't and end DX once and for all. To do this, he has assembled a very talanted team. But DX have faced these kind of challenges before. Will they rise up again and keep the legacy of DX alive? Or will Shane deliver and end the group that has caused his family so much embarassment in the past? World Heavyweight Title Match Edge v The Undertaker Title versus Streak. Edge puts the gold on the line as he tries to end The Undertaker's legendary Wrestlemania streak. After weeks of playing mind games with Edge, 'Taker goes into this match with the psycological advantage. But Edge will have The Edge-heads in his corner, and they are sure to get involved in this match. Also on the line tonight, the general manager's position of Smackdown. After Teddy Long put his job on the line to remove Vickie Guerrero from office, will we leave Wrestlemania with a new champion and a new GM? Or will Edge and Vickie's reign over Smackdown continue? WWE Title Match Randy Orton v Ric Flair Legend v Legend Killer. Ric Flair has put his career on the line for months now, and has always managed to survive. But tonight, he challenges for the title in the biggest night of his legendary career. The only active Hall of Famer has to roll back the years if he's to claim glory. Orton goes into this match with a reputation as a Legend Killer. Will he claim another victim tonight and retain his title? Or does the Nature Boy have one last great Wrestlemania moment left in him? ---- Quick Predictions: Kenny Dykstra v Rey Mysterio v John Morrison v Kane v Brian Kendrick v Jeff Hardy Chris Jericho v John Bradshaw Layfield Montel Vontavious Porter v Matt Hardy Beth Phoenix v Mickie James v Melina v Candice Michelle Batista v Kevin Thorn Vince McMahon v Finlay Mr Kennedy v Bobby Lashley CM Punk v Shelton Benjamin v Elijah Burke Triple H and Shawn Michaels v Shane McMahon, Umaga and The Big Show Edge v The Undertaker Randy Orton v Ric Flair
