Matt Hardy sure looks like CM Punk in that main event... :p Only kidding. I really enjoy this diary man, I know I don't post much but it certainly has my attention. I think current day WWE ones can often be overlooked due to the subject, but this is a good read. I must admit, it takes a bit of getting used to the "we joni the match nearing it's conclusion" and the commentary rather than a description, but fairplay you have gone for a pretty original format and once you are used to it it's a very interesting read. And it takes some doing to not make any really significant changes to real life yet still keep it a hell of a lot more interesting than the E has been in years. Great job, keep up the good work. I'm certainly reading.

The idea behind my format was because I found it really hard to write recaps, so I made the decision pretty early on to script things out. My thinking was that really exciting parts of matches are the endings. That's where the real drama happens, so I always try to capture that in my writing. Again the kind words are really appreciated. Comments like these are the ones that give you a boost when you start to wonder if people are liking what you're doing or not. Thanks again!

Raw Preview Canadian Bulldogs v Val Venis and Hardcore Holly For the third week in a row, Val Venis will try to get a win over the tag team champions. After unsuccessful attempts with Chris Harris and Super Crazy, Venis now turns to one half of the team that the Bulldogs won the titles from, namely Hardcore Holly. The youngsters have shown a total lack of respect in recent weeks, will tonight finally be the night the veterans let the youngsters know what it means to be on Monday nights? Victoria v Candice Michelle Both of these Divas are former Women's Champions. With the Night of Champions rematch between champion Melina and former champion Mickie James scheduled for next week, both Candice and Victoria will be eager to grab a win tonight and put themselves in a great position to possibly face the winner of the title rematch. Cody Rhodes v Charlie Hass Cody made a huge challenge last week to the Randy Orton, that of a match between the two at the Great American Bash. Cody will be out to prove he belongs in the singles ranks tonight with a win over Charlie Hass, but Orton will no doubt be weighing heavily on Cody's mind, and the technically gifted Hass could easily take advantage of that. Paul London v Santino Marella London and Jeff Hardy have had their troubles with Santino and William Regal in recent weeks, ever since London beat Regal in a match and Jeff had to make the save as Regal attacked London afterwards. Last week Regal drafted in Santino to be his partner against London and Jeff, and to the surprise of everyone, Regal and Santino managed to end both their losing streaks. Tonight, Santino and London square off, but with Regal and Hardy likely to be in opposite corners, this one could get out of control quickly. Kurt Angle v Snitsky Last week Snitsky took on Chris Jericho and the WWE Champion but together a confident display to see off the monster. Tonight, the number one contender for the Bash Kurt Angle takes on Snitsky, with Angle knowing he will have to put together as good as or even better a performance as Jericho did to gain the advantage. Batista v Mr Kennedy Batista returned last week to come to the aid of the Big Show in his battle with Triple H and Kennedy. With the four set to square off in tag team action at the Bash, tonight’s match will be an early chance for both teams to take the momentum with them. Batista may have the power advantage, but Kennedy will no doubt have the Game and General Manager Shane McMahon backing him up, so this one could give us another wild ending to Monday Night Raw! ------- Canadian Bulldogs v Val Venis and Hardcore Holly Victoria v Candice Michelle Cody Rhodes v Charlie Hass Paul London v Santino Marella Kurt Angle v Snitsky Batista v Mr Kennedy

JR: Last week we saw the return of Batista as he was revealed as the partner of the Big Show for that huge tag team match at the Great American Bash. Tonight, live in Hartford CT, we’ll try to find out where The Animal has been and what his plans are now he’s back. Hello everyone, I’m Jim Ross alongside Jerry The King Lawler, and King, we had an explosive end as Raw went off the air last week. King: Right and tonight we could be in for some real fireworks if Shane McMahon has anything to do with it. JR: Also tonight, we’ll hear from both Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle ahead of their match at the Great American Bash... King: What? JR: Well... it seems we are going to be joined by The Animal himself! King: You know he’s got a lot to say JR... JR: No doubt about that. Batista: First of all... I just want to say... it’s great to be back. When I came back last week, I came back because a guy who I have a whole lot of respect for in the Big Show said he needed my help. While I was away... I did a lot of thinking... and I came to one conclusion. I’m sick and tired of waiting... I want a title shot. Now I know Kurt Angle is next in line... that’s fine. But once me and the Big Show kick beat Kennedy and Triple H at the Bash... I want my shot. And whatever it takes for... TIME TO PLAY THE GAME King: Uh... well... I guess that means Triple H is coming out here. JR: Yeah but he’s not out here alone. He’s got Shane McMahon and Kennedy along with him. HHH: You seem to be forgetting something Dave... you don’t make the matches around here. You don’t get to decide when and where you get title shots. And let me tell you something Dave... after I’m finished with you at the Bash... I’ll be the one getting a title shot. As for the Bash... I can’t believe you came back because the Big Show asked you to. That guy is a waste of time. He’s a loser... and he always will be. As for you... face it Dave, you don’t belong in the same ring as me. I taught you everything you know. Hell, I made you Dave. And if you think... Batista: You know what Hunter? If I don’t belong in the same ring as you, if you taught me everything I know... then why don’t you step into the ring with me right now! King: Wow! What a... hey! JR: Here he comes! Triple H walking down the aisle... and here comes the Animal! Batista and Triple H going at it on the ramp! King: Here comes Kennedy... JR: Kennedy now... he runs into a clothesline! This is mayhem! This... wait... King: The Big Show! JR: The Big Show is in there now! What a way to kick off Raw! We’ve got an all out brawl here! And... finally we’ve got some officials down here to break this up. King: Can you believe that? I thought Batista was about to.... Shane: Hey! Hey! Enough! Listen... Batista... tonight... you’re going one on one with Kennedy! JR: God that’s... that’s a huge match! King: Yeah and... finally things have calmed down. JR: We talked about fireworks folks... what an explosive way to kick things off here! ------- JR: Welcome back folks. We’ve got tag team action coming up, as Val Venis continues in his search for the right tag team partner to help him overcome the tag team champions. King: Right and the Bulldogs have had Val’s number so far, but tonight he’s got the former tag team champion Hardcore Holly on his side... Canadian Bulldogs v Val Venis and Hardcore Holly *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Here comes TJ off the ropes... back elbow by Val. Wilson quickly back up... and Val slams him to the mat. Venis now... off the ropes... and Val drives the knee to the chest. Hooks the leg, 1... 2... and TJ Wilson kicks out. King: And that’s a smart, veteran move from Val. Hit a big move, then make a tag. JR: And here comes another veteran in Hardcore Holly. Holly into the ring... ducks the right hand from Wilson... and Holly hits the clothesline... and another... and there’s a great standing dropkick. Holly hooks the leg, 1... 2... and again TJ kicks out. King: Hardcore Holly may be a veteran, but he can still fly. Val Venis can still fly too. JR: No doubt these two have still got it... as Holly tees off on the youngster in the corner. Irish whip... here comes Holly... and Wilson got the boot up... and there’s a nice neckbreaker from Wilson. TJ goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Holly gets the shoulder up. King: And just like that, this match has turned around and now the champions are back in control. JR: Wilson... just pounding away on Holly in the corner... and Wilson slams Holly to the mat. And there you see TJ talking a little bit of trash to Holly. King: Well that’s what these two young guys are all about. They talk trash, and so far they’ve been able to back it up. JR: Wilson now... sends Holly to the corner... but this time it’s TJ who runs into a boot... and there’s a bulldog. Holly with the bulldog, both men down now... and the referee starts to count. King: And both these guys are trying to make a tag... JR: Wilson tags in Smith... and here comes Val! Val Venis into the ring... and a huge clothesline takes down Smith. TJ still in the ring... but he gets dropped across the top rope. Val turns around... and Harry Smith hits a DDT. Smith driving Holly head first into the mat... King: Yeah and look at Holly stagger to the corner. JR: Here comes Harry... but he goes shoulder first into the ringpost. Venis is back in... and he sends to the mat. Val now... going to the top rope... King: Are we going to see the money shot? JR: Val... off the top rope... nobody home! Harry Smith managed to drag TJ out of harms way. And Harry... he’s got Venis up... Wilson off the ropes... and there’s the Hart Attack! Shades of the Hart Foundation... Wilson hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3. And again, Harry Smith and TJ Wilson win. King: Three weeks in a row that Val Venis has tried and failed to beat these guys. JR: I think it’s back to the drawing board for Val and... wait a minute. What’s the meaning of this? The Bulldogs... they’ve got Venis set up... Harry Smith with the title in hands... King: I think they’re about to end this challenge from Val once and for all. JR: No, don’t do this! Harry Smith is about to... King: JR... it’s Cade and Murdoch! JR: Cade and Murdoch into the ring for the save. Cade and Murdoch, who were insulted last week by these two youngsters... and now they look like they want a piece of the champions. King: Yeah but Wilson and Smith are getting out of here. They don’t want nothing to do with Cade and Murdoch. JR: Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch... you have to think that eventually they’ll ge their shot at the World Tag Team Champions. Canadian Bulldogs beat Val Venis and Hardcore Holly (C-) ------ *we cut backstage to Todd Grisham* Todd: Ladies and gentleman, please welcome my guest at this time, he is the number one contender for the WWE Championship and the man who will face Chris Jericho at the Great American Bash... Kurt Angle! And Kurt, I interviewed you last week and you talked about how you respect Chris Jericho... tonight you take on Snitsky, who Chris Jericho faced last week... is tonight a chance for you to send a message to the champion by beating Snitsky in a more convincing fashion? Angle: I don’t need to prove anything to anybody. I’m an Olympic Gold medallist. Now, I do respect Chris Jericho... but I know I’m better than him. I know I can beat Chris Jericho. And when I beat Snitsky tonight... I’m going to beat him not to prove a point to Chris Jericho... I’ll beat him for myself. Chris Jericho... f you don’t know that you’re in trouble at the Great American Bash... you better find out in hurry. JR: Strong words for Kurt Angle, we’ll see him in action later tonight. King: Well I don’t know if Kurt Angle could beat Snitsky anymore convincingly than Chris Jericho did last week. JR: The champion looked very strong last week. Right now though, we’ve got two former Women’s Champions in action, as Victoria and Candice Michelle lock up. Victoria v Candice Michelle *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Victoria... got a hand full of hair... and she slams Candice face first into the mat, and again. Victoria has a vicious streak in her. King: Yeah and we’re getting to see it right here against Candice Michelle. JR: Victoria now going to work on the shoulder of Candice. Smart strategy by Victoria, Candice has had problems in that are in the past. King: Right and it was Beth Phoenix of course who caused that injury that put Candice on the shelf for so long. JR: Victoria now pulling at the hair again... the referee calling for a break... and Candice manages to kick Victoria on the side of the head. Candice... blocks the right hand, scores with her own. King: Look at Candice go. She’s just teeing off on Victoria with those right hands. JR: Candice... kick to the midsection... and kick to the chest takes Victoria off her feet. Candice... off the ropes... elbow drop connects. Candice hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Victoria gets the shoulder up. King: JR, we know Mickie James has a rematch with Melina at some point but... Candice is a former Women’s Champion. She could put herself back in the hunt with a win here. JR: Same could be said for Victoria, another former Women’s Champion. But Candice is in control right now... Irish whip... Victoria reverses... Candice off the ropes... and a great headscissor takedown from Candice Michelle. And now it’s Candice with a hand full of hair... oh! A hard elbow to the face from Victoria. King: You can see that Candice Michelle has really improved a lot as a wrestler. JR: She’s certainly been working at her game... as Victoria answers with hard kick to the small of the back. And Victoria... she’s got Candice up on her shoulders... King: This doesn’t look good... JR: Wait, Candice down the back... the roll up... 1... 2... and Victoria kicks out. Both women up quickly... Candice ducks the right hand... and there’s a spinning heel kick! Candice goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3. What a great win for Candice Michelle! King: And JR... I have to think that eventually we’re going to see Melina and Candice go one on one for the Women’s Title. JR: But King... don’t forget about Mickie James. She’ll have her say in all of this too. Candice Michelle beat Victoria (C+) ------- *we cut backstage to Shane McMahon, Mr Kennedy and Triple H* HHH: That son of a bitch! Shane: Relax alright! HHH: What the hell Shane! I want Batista tonight! Shane: No! No, alright? Let Kennedy handle this. Kennedy: Uh... if Trips wants him then... Shane: What you don’t want to do it? Kennedy: Well... HHH: Enough of this! I want Batista... and I want him tonight. Shane: Listen... you gotta trust me on this. Kennedy has this tonight. Kennedy can handle tonight... and then both of you will take care of this at the Bash. HHH: Alright... but you better be right about this. King: Every week Triple H doesn’t have that WWE Title it looks like he’s about to snap. JR: And it was almost Shane McMahon and Mr Kennedy in the firing line. Here comes Cody Rhodes. Last week Cody made a challenge to Randy Orton... and some would say it wasn’t the smartest thing he’s ever done. King: Well not many people challenge Randy Orton and get away with it... Cody Rhodes v Charlie Hass *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Hass... he’s got the chinlock on pretty tight. Cody... trying to struggle back to his feet. And Cody... drives Hass into the corner... and again, finally breaking the hold. Hass misses with the right hand... and Cody nails a clothesline. King: JR... do you think Cody Rhodes has any chance whatsoever against Randy Orton? JR: Absolutely he does. King: Really? Despite the fact that Randy Orton is a former WWE Champion? JR: Any given Sunday King. And it could be a great Sunday in just under 2 weeks for Cody Rhodes at the Great American Bash. And Cody... with rights and lefts... off the ropes... crossbody! Hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Hass kicks out. King: Well that’s the kind of thing Cody is going to have to do to have any chance of beating Randy Orton. JR: I think you’re underestimating this kid... as Cody blocks the kick... comes off the ropes... bulldog! Cody again with the cover, 1... 2... and again Charlie Hass kicks out. Hass showing a lot of toughness and resilience to kick out of that. King: OK I’ll admit Cody is impressive right now... but can he this impressive on pay per view? JR: Well that’s a good point. This will be Cody’s first pay per view as a singles wrestler... and he sends Hass to the corner... but Hass got the boot up... but Cody counters with a powerslam! Here’s the cover... 1... 2... and Hass gets the shoulder up. King: It’s going take a lot to put Charlie Hass away in this match... JR: Cody... off the ropes... goes for the DDT... Hass reverses it... Cody reverses that... DDT! Cody nails that DDT, hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3. And Cody wins. King: Wow. Impressive victory for Cody Rhodes and... JR: Oh! King: RKO! JR: RKO! Randy Orton came through the crowd and he just levelled Cody Rhodes with that RKO out of nowhere! King: I guess that’s what happens when you made the Legend Killer mad. JR: The challenge has been accepted. Randy Orton will meet Cody Rhodes at the Bash... but he just sent the youngster a message right there. Cody Rhodes beat Charlie Hass (C) ----- JR: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw folks, in the ring are William Regal and Santino Marella. Santino is in action with Paul London next... King: Yeah and we know London is going to have Jeff Hardy in his corner, and he wants a piece of Regal and Santino after what happened last week. Paul London v Santino Marella *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Santino... driving the knee in the midsection. So far William Regal has not been a factor in this match, and I’m sure that has a lot to do with Jeff Hardy being in Paul London’s corner. King: And JR, I’ve just been told by my sources in the back that next week, we’re going to see Jeff Hardy and William Regal go one on one! JR: Who do you know back there? How do you find out this stuff? King: It takes a King if you know what I mean. JR: Well... London... sends Santino to the corner... and London went for a crossbody, but he goes into the turnbuckle. Santino has been working on the ribs of London in this match, and that hard landing won’t have helped things. King: I honestly couldn’t stand it if this idiot wins tonight. JR: The King once again showing his support for Santino there... as Santino drives the shoulder into the midsection. Paul London in pretty bad shape here... as Santino kicks him to the floor. King: Look out here... Paul London landed out by William Regal... JR: And... oh! Regal with a hard clothesline, Santino had the referee distracted... King: Here comes Jeff! JR: Jeff Hardy, chasing William Regal around the ring... the referee out to stop it... and Regal with another cheap shot behind the refs back. King: I think Jeff oughta stay out of the way right now. Santino and Regal have fooled the referee for most of this match. JR: London... manages to crawl back into the ring, but Santino defiantly has the upper hand now. Santino... off the ropes... goes for the splash... but London gets his knees up and blocks it. King: Stay on him London! Don’t give him a chance to recover. JR: London now... with boots to the midsection... kick to the face... and a standing moonsault! Paul London... hooks the leg... 1... 2... and Santino kicks out. London has the momentum now... Irish whip... London with the dropkick. And Santino quickly rolling to the floor... King: Yeah but looks who’s waiting for him... JR: Jeff, grabbing hold of Santino... trying to get him back in the ring... King: Hey! Regal’s in the ring! JR: Regal... turn around Paul... turn around ref! Oh! Regal just nailed London with brass knucks! London is out cold... and now Santino scurries back into the ring... hooks the leg... King: You gotta be kiddin’ me! JR: 1... 2... 3. And Santino, with a huge assist from William Regal, has just pinned Paul London. King: Well... the referee was distracted by Jeff Hardy trying to stop Santino from running away... they were arguing on the floor, and Regal from behind just nailed Paul London. JR: Well next week we’ll see Jeff and Regal go at it... but somehow, Santino Marella has won this match. Santino Marella beat Paul London (C+) ------- JR: Welcome back folks, as you can see, we are about to have another episode of Carlito’s Cabana. And we believe his guest tonight is going to be Bobby Lashley. King: Yeah but Carlito isn’t going into this alone. He’s got Apolo with him for backup. Carlito: Right now, Carlito wants to bring out a guy... who knows he can’t beat Carlito. A guy who knows he’ll never get this Intercontinental Title off of Carlito’s waist. Carlito’s guest tonight... Bobby Lashley. JR: Well here he comes. Bobby Lashley, who two weeks ago at Night of Champions had a shot at Carlito’s Intercontinental Championship, and looked like he had the match won. King: We all thought Bobby Lashley was about to become the Intercontinental Champion until Apolo came out of nowhere and just assaulted Lashley as he was about to score the pinfall. Carlito: Lashley... you come out here every week... and you try to attack Carlito. You try to sneak attack me from behind. What’s your problem man? You tired to take Carlito’s Intercontinental Title... but you couldn’t get it done. You couldn’t get the job done... and now you trying to make it up for it. But you... Lashley: Why don’t you shut your mouth Carlito? You know I was about to become the intercontinental Champion... until your buddy here decided to save your ass. Next week... I want him... then... I want you! JR: What a challenge that is! Bobby Lashley... he wants a piece of Apolo. King: Yeah but is Carlito going to give Lashley what he wants? Carlito: Alright... you got a deal. Next week you face Apolo... and if you beat Apolo... you can get another title shot. But when Apolo beats you... you don’t get no more shots at Carlito. You hear me Lashley? You and me are finished... JR: Oh! From behind, once again Apolo attacking Lashley. King: And now look at Carlito going at him with the boots too. JR: That damn Carlito, once again, doing a number on... Lashley powers out! Lashley back on his feet... and a spear to Apolo! King: Uh oh... it’s Lashley and Carlito left alone in the ring! JR: Lashley... he’s got Carlito! Lashley has him up... dominator! Lashley with the dominator! Finally Lashley gets his hands on Carlito! King: In his own cabana too! ------- JR: Welcome back ladies and gentleman to Monday Night Raw, and... well here comes the very dangerous... the psychotic Snitsky. Last week Kurt Angle watched Chris Jericho defeat Snitsky, and he’ll try to do it himself tonight. Kurt Angle v Snitsky *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Angle with the right hand... and another... and a third... but Snitsky hits back with a knee to the midsection... and now he slams Angle to the mat. Snitsky... drops the elbow on top of Angle. Here’s the cover, 1... 2... and Angle kicks out. King: I know we’ve talked about how great it is to have Kurt Angle back in the WWE... but do you think he can come back and win the WWE Title almost immediately? JR: I think he’s got a hell of a shot at it. Kurt Angle is one of the most gifted athletes I’ve ever seen. He could be the man to end Chris Jericho’s title reign. King: Well right now Snitsky looks like he’s about to end Kurt Angle. JR: Snitsky hoists Angle up into that bearhug... King: God, look at those teeth. JR: He’s not pretty to look at... but he’s all power is Snitsky. Angle... battling his way out with those elbows... and finally Angle breaks the hols. Angle... Irish whip... Snitsky reverses... Angle ducks the boot... and there’s a German suplex! Shoulders down... 1... 2... and Snitsky kicks out. King: I’m impressed Angle managed to get Snitsky off his feet like that. JR: Kurt Angle now... looking to put the big man away... Angle... sends Snitsky to the corner... but Angle runs into a boot... and a hard clothesline from Snitsky. King: Angle looked like he had something going there... JR: Snitsky off the ropes... misses with the legdrop. Snitsky went for it all there, and he came up short. Angle... measuring Snitsky... Angle slam! Angle slam! Angle with the Angle slam! King: It’s over! JR: Kurt Angle... going for the cover... no. Wait a minute... what’s Kurt doing? King: I think he’s going for the ankle lock JR... JR: Kurt... yes! Ankle lock! Ankle lock applied! King: I think this is because Chris Jericho made Snitsky submit to the Walls of Jericho last week, and Angle wants to prove he can do the same thing. JR: Snitsky... in a world of pain... and he’s tapping! He’s tapping! Angle wins! Kurt Angle wins with the ankle lock! King: JR... at the Great American Bash... are we going to see Kurt Angle aplly that ankle lock to Chris Jericho? JR: It certainly could happen. Angle has won tonight... but will he win at the Bash? Kurt Angle beat Snitsky (B-) ------ *we cut backstage to Maria* Maria: Please welcome my guest at this time, the WWE Champion... Y2J... Chris Jericho! And Chris, earlier tonight we heard Kurt Angle say he respected you, but he’s still going to take your title away. What is your response to that? Jericho: Kurt... you might like to think this story of you coming back to the WWE and regaining the title is going to have a happy ending... but believe me... it never works out that way. I thought I could come back and take the title at the first opportunity... but it didn’t happen for me, and it’s not going to happen to you. At the Great American Bash, we’re going to have one hell of a match Kurt... it’s just not going to end the way you want it to. King: I can’t wait for to see this match JR. JR: It certainly looks like it’s going to be a classic folks... KENNEDY JR: Whereas this right here is looking like it’s going to be a war! The Animal is about to be unleashed on Mr Kennedy! Nothing fancy with that, just a stiff kick to the head of the Animal. King: This is a pretty big night for Mr Kennedy. I mean Shane has put a lot of trust in him to take care of Batista here. If he doesn’t get it done... JR: What? Shane won’t be happy? Well that sounds great to me. I hope Batista kicks Kennedy’s ass if that’s the case. But right now... it’s Kennedy who goes back to work on the knee of Batista. And Kennedy... King: What’s he going for here? JR: Kennedy with a half Boston crab. He’s going to try make Batista submit here. I’m sure that would make Shane and Triple H very happy if that happened. King: That’s a lot of pressure on the knee of Batista right now. JR: Batista trying to fight it... he’s nut going to give this up. Batista... trying to inch his way towards the ropes. King: He’s almost here... JR: Batista reaches out... and he makes it to the ropes! But Kennedy... taking full advantage of the five count... finally lets go of the hold. Batista... again using the ropes to pull himself up... wait, Batista with a roll up... 1... 2... and Kennedy kicks out. Batista... struggles to his feet... and he nails Kennedy with a clothesline... and another one. King: Yeah but Batista can’t move a whole lot. I mean Kennedy did a lot of work on that knee. JR: Batista can barely stand right now... but he sends Kennedy for the ride with a back body drop. Batista... limps over but still hits the clothesline in the corner. Batista... slams Kennedy to the mat. Batista... picks Kennedy up... sends him off the ropes... spinebuster! Oh what impact from the Animal! King: And JR... I think it may be time... JR: Batista... lining Kennedy up... spear! Spear! Batista with the spear! King: And I don’t think he’s finished yet! JR: Batista... thumbs up... King: Thumbs down! JR: The Batista Bomb is coming up! Batista... here it... oh! Dammit! King: It’s Triple H! JR: Triple H from behind with that sledgehammer! Triple H, coming to the rescue of Kennedy, and now the beatdown ensues. King: God this... this is two on one with a sledgehammer... JR: Kennedy and Triple H, just destroying Batista with those boots. And Triple H... directing Kennedy to hold Batista up. King: He’s not going to hit on the head with the sledgehammer is he? JR: No! No... don’t do this! Triple H... WELL IT’S THE BIG SHOW JR: Here he comes! Here he comes! The Big Show! The Big Show... oh! Kennedy tried to cut him off on the ramp and he runs into a boot. Big Show into the ring... and he’s after Triple H! King: God this... this is a war! JR: We saw this last week, an all out brawl between these four! Triple H, Kennedy, Big Show and Batista going at it again! King: Here come the refs... JR: They’re still going at it. We... we’re out of time folks. We’ve got to go. Join us next week on Raw! King: What in the world... It could be a painful homecoming for Balls and Stevie The Boogeyman v Paul Burchill Burchill was pinned for only the second time a couple of weeks ago by John Morrison. Boogey however is looking for a big win to spring him up the rankings, and his unique and unusual style could fit in well back in Philly. The Miz v Jesse Dalton Miz has been racking up the wins lately, and his quest for a shot at the Cruiserweight Title continues. Hello everyone, I’m Joey Styles alongside Tazz, and it is great to be back in Philly! Tazz: You’re damn right it is. We’re back in Philly tonight, but last week we found out John Morrison is going to represent Mick Foley in that huge match at the Great American Bash. Styles: A match that could have huge implications on the future of ECW as we know it. Tonight, the ECW Champion Shelton Benjamin and his associate Elijah Burke will team up to take on John Morrison and ECW Original Tommy Dreamer... but right now, another pair of ECW Originals, Balls Mahoney and Stevie Richards are in action. Tazz: Right but they’re taking on Matt Striker and Big Daddy V, two guys who have been dominating lately. Balls Mahoney and Stevie Richards v Matt Striker and Big Daddy V *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: Striker off the ropes... huge back body drop sends him flying through the air. Mahoney now... again sends Striker off the ropes... Tazz: There was a tag made there. Big Daddy V tagged in, but I don’t think Balls knows about it... Styles: No he doesn’t, as he nails Striker with the powerslam... Balls going for the cover, but the referee telling him Striker’s not the legal man. Tazz: Look out, from behind... Styles: Oh! Big Daddy V just levelled Balls! Tazz: Well Balls Mahoney was still focused on Striker, he didn’t know the tag was made, and Big Daddy V took full advantage of it. Styles: And now V going to work with those clubbing blows to the back... and now he slams Balls Mahoney to the mat. Tazz: And Balls ain’t a small guy. That just shows you what kind of power Big Daddy V has. Styles: V... just tosses Balls into the corner. And... V lining him up... Tazz: We’ve seen this before, and it’s not a pretty sight... Styles: Here comes Big Daddy V... no! Mahoney managed to move before he got squashed in the corner. Matt Striker tags in... and Balls dives across the ring to tag in Stevie Richards! Here comes Stevie... right hand to Striker... and again... and there’s a slam. Stevie now... sends Striker to the corner... and Stevie hits the clothesline... and there’s a bulldog! Stevie with the cover... 1... 2... and Striker gets the shoulder up. Tazz: Stevie Richards the fresh guy in this match, and he’s really taking it to Matt Striker right now. Styles: Stevie... sends Striker to the corner... Striker reverses it... but he runs into an elbow. Richards... to the second rope... oh! Stevie misses with the crossbody. Striker quickly with the cover, 1... 2... and Stevie kicks out. Tazz: Hard landing for Stevie, smart move from Striker to go for the cover... Styles: Wait... Stevie with the roll-up... 1... 2... 3! They did it! Mahoney and Richards win! Tazz: God... out of nowhere! Styles: The ECW Originals Mahoney and Richards win! Tazz: Two guys who had some great moments in this city just scored... Styles: Oh! From behind, Big Daddy V just decked both of them. And Striker going to work with the boots... V off the ropes... oh! He just crushed Balls Mahoney with that splash. Tazz: What the hell is this? I mean the match is over, you two got beat... Styles: Oh! And there’s a shot for Richards too. Matt Striker and Big Daddy V may have lost this match, but they’re the ones who look like the winners right now. Balls Mahoney and Stevie Richards beat Matt Striker and Big Daddy V (C) ------ *we cut backstage to Armando Estrada, Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke* Estrada: John Morrison? That’s who Mick Foley chose to face you? Benjamin: Yeah. Burke: What’s that old fool thinking? That’s the guy who he wants to represent him? Benjamin: I don’t know... but I tell you what. We’re in Philadelphia tonight, ECW’s home. So tonight... I’m gonna embarrass Tommy Dreamer. I’m gonna kick his ass all over this town. Estrada: What about Morrison? Mick Foley could be onto something my friend... Benjamin: You think I’m worried about that pretty boy Morrison? Tonight, I’m going to make sure he never even makes it to the Bash, Styles: Well that tag team match is our main event tonight, and already it’s shaping up to be an intense match up. Tazz: One of these days somebody’s gonna kick his ass for him. And if it doesn’t happen soon, I might get in the ring and do it myself. Styles: I think being back in Philly has gone to your head buddy... Tazz: I’m ready! I’ll go tonight! Styles: Moving on, here comes the Extreme Monster Paul Burchill. Burchill is in action against the bizarre Boogeyman tonight... The Boogeyman v Paul Burchill *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: Burchill... I think he’s almost freaked out by the actions of The Boogeyman. Tazz: Almost? Styles: Well... and Burchill pulled down the top rope, and Boogeyman went all the way down to the floor. And Burchill taking the fight to Boogeyman on the outside... oh! Boogeyman sent shoulder first into the steel steps. Tazz: God look at this freak. We got worms everywhere. Styles: Burchill now... bringing Boogeyman right by us... oh! Boogeyman face first into our announce desk. Tazz: Paul Burchill’s got a mean streak in him. He fit in pretty well ever since he came to ECW. Styles: Burchill has only been pinned by two men since he arrived on Sci-Fi... they just happen to be Tommy Dreamer and John Morrison, so no shame in that. Tazz: Absolutely not. Styles: Both men back in the ring now... and Burchill teeing off with those right hands... and again... Boogeyman blocks it... and hits a right of his own... and another one... Boogeyman off the ropes... oh! Runs right into a hard clothesline. Tazz: And just like that, this match swings back in favour of Paul Burchill. Styles: The Extreme Monster Paul Burchill... drives Boogeyman into the corner. And again the right hands start to rain down... and now Burchill goes to work with the boots. Burchill... wait, Boogeyman caught his foot... spins Burchill around... oh! Boogeyman nails Burchill with a clothesline. Tazz: Boogeyman has this unorthodox style. You can’t really scout this guy. Styles: Boogeyman... he’s got Burchill by the hair... shoulder first into the turnbuckle goes Burchill. And Boogeyman... what the... Tazz: What the hell is he doing? Styles: Oh my God! Boogeyman... he’s got a handful of worms! Tazz: And I think they’ve got Paul Burchill’s name on them! Styles: Oh! Burchill just got wormed! Tazz: I don’t remember this ever happening in the old ECW! Styles: I don’t think Philadelphia has ever seen anything like this! Paul Burchill... covered in worms! And Boogeyman looking to put him away now. Boogeyman... he’s got Burchill set up... Tazz: He’s going for that pumphandle slam... Styles: Wait... Burchill counters... C4! Burchill with the C4! Tazz: Out of nowhere! Styles: Burchill hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! Paul Burchill has pulled out a victory here, but he got wormed in the process. Tazz: God... it’s mayhem in the ring with all those worms crawling about in there. Paul Burchill beat The Boogeyman (C+) ------ *we cut backstage to Anastacia Rose* Rose: Please welcome my guest at this time, he is the man who will represent Mick Foley at the Great American Bash... Tuesday Night Delight... John Morrison! And John, last week Mick Foley asked you to be the man to represent him at the Great American Bash. How did you feel when he asked you and why did you say yes? Morrison: I said yes because for a long time, I have been waiting for the chance to leave the palace of wisdom... and return to the main event of ECW. I’m through with the prophecy, I’m through with the long winded speeches. I may not be the ECW Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer long for... but I could be so much more. I can be the new face of ECW... and my journey starts tonight. Styles: John Morrison there saying he wants to be the new face of ECW. Tazz: Yeah and who better to help him get there than Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer. Styles: Our tag team main event still to come but up next, John Morrisons former partner, The Miz is in action... The Miz v Jesse Dalton *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: Jesse trying to fight his way out of this chinlock... Jesse battles back to his feet... elbow to the midsection... and another... Jesse off the ropes... and he runs right into a knee from Miz. Hard landing for Jesse... who is trying to regroup in the corner. Tazz: Joey... what’s the deal with this Festus guy at ringside? He’s been pacing up and down on the floor ever since the bell rang. Styles: Well he... he gets his game face on when the bell rings. Miz going back to work on Jesse... sends Jesse to the corner... here comes Miz... but Jesse gets the boot up. Jesse now, scores with the right hand... and another... and a third. Jesse... sends Miz off the ropes... nice dropkick from Jesse. Tazz: Well Miz has been got in recent weeks, but Jesse looks like he could have the measure off him right here. Styles: Jesse gaining some momentum here... bulldog drives Miz into the mat. Jesse now... taking a chance, going to the top rope. Tazz: I don’t know about this Joey. Jesse’s taking a big risk. Styles: Jesse... off the top rope... legdrop connects! Jesse hooks the leg... 1... 2... but Miz kicks out! Jesse went for a high risk move, he pulled it off, but Miz was able to get the shoulder up. Tazz: Miz is a pretty tough guy, I mean... Styles: Jesse with a roll-up... 1... 2... and again Miz kicks out. Jesse Dalton is looking to pull off somewhat of an upset here. Jesse off the ropes again... Miz with a drop toe hold hangs Jesse up on the middle rope. Miz quickly goes to work with those forearms across the face. Miz... armdrag takes Jesse down... oh! A hard kick to the spine from Miz. Tazz: This match is so back and forth. And this Festus guy it still bouncing around like crazy out here. Styles: Festus wants to see Jesse win, but it’s Miz who is in control right now. Miz... sends Jesse to the corner.... oh! Miz followed in with a knee to the face. Miz... again sends Jesse to the corner... here comes Miz... nobody home! Tazz: Hard landing for Miz. He went shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Styles: And Jesse again taking a chance. Jesse... on the top rope... crossbody connects! Wait... Miz roles through... 1... 2... Tazz: He’s got the tights! Styles: 3! Miz has just stole a victory from Jesse. Tazz: Well credit to Jesse, he came in here tonight and put up a hell of an effort, but Miz using whatever he could to get the win. I mean this is a big night. A win tonight could really help us at the Bash. Dreamer: I’m ready... you ready pretty boy? Morrison: Let’s do this. Foley: Alright, but remember one thing... we’re in Philly tonight. So maybe you should go easy on all that palace of wisdom stuff, alright John? Morrison: I’ll stop it if you promise to dress a little smarter in future. Foley: On second thoughts let’s all take a trip to the palace of wisdom. Dreamer: This is so not hardcore... Morrison: Not even a fur coat? Styles: Morrison and Dreamer versus Benjamin and Burke. Our ECW main event is coming up... Hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Benjamin kicks out... and straight away, the ECW Champion goes back to work on the ribs of Tommy Dreamer. Tazz: Well so far Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke have done a great job at targeting those ribs of Tommy Dreamer and staying focused on them. Styles: Tag made, Elijah Burke comes into the match... and he just lays into Tommy Dreamer with the boots. Burke now... whips Dreamer hard into the corner... but Burke runs into an elbow... and another. And Burke... elevated over the top rope to the floor. Tazz: And now would be a great time for Tommy Dreamer to tag in John Morrison. Styles: Tommy Dreamer, literally crawling across the ring, trying to make it to John Morrison... Shelton Benjamin comes in... but there’s the tag! John Morrison is in but... wait a second... the ref never saw the tag! He’s not letting John Morrison into the match! Tazz: Well... much as I hate to say it, hell of a smart move from the ECW Champion. He distracted the referee so he never saw Dreamer tag Morrison... and now Benjamin and Burke are booting the boots to Tommy. Styles: And now Elijah Burke tags in Shelton Benjamin, the ref saw all of that one. Benjamin... slams Dreamer to the mat, shoulders down... 1... 2... and Dreamer gets the shoulder up. A look of frustration on the face of Elijah Burke. Tazz: Tommy Dreamer is one of the toughest SOBs in the WWE. It’s gonna take more than that to keep him down. Styles: Dreamer... sent off the ropes... Tommy ducks the clothesline... DDT! Dreamer with the DDT! And that may be the opening Dreamer needs to make it to John Morrison. Tazz: Well Morrison is dying to get in... Elijah Burke don’t look too happy. Styles: He never does. Dreamer... crawls to the corner... there’s the tag! Here comes Morrison! Morrison into the ring... dropkick to Benjamin... and there’s a shot to Burke on the apron. Morrison now, off the ropes... ducks the right hand... enziguri! Benjamin slumps to the mat... Tazz: Here comes Burke... Styles: Morrison sends him over the top rope! Morrison now... Irish whip... Benjamin reverses... Morrison off the ropes... sunset flip... shoulder down... 1... 2... and Benjamin kicks out. Tazz: Great moves by John Morrison... was that a tag? Styles: Elijah Burke reached in to tag Shelton Benjamin... and he catches Morrison with a forearm. Burke... slams Morrison to the mat. Burke off the ropes... Dreamer trips him up. Tazz: Here comes Morrison... Styles: Split legged corkscrew moonsault! Morrison... hooks the leg... 1... 2... and Benjamin makes the save. Here comes Dreamer though! All four men going at it in the ring! Tazz: This is just turned into a brawl now. Styles: Benjamin... spinning heel kick sends Tommy to the floor. Morrison and Burke still going at it... Tazz: Are they the legal men right now? Styles: Yes they are. Burke with a shot to the gut... sends Morrison to the corner... and Morrison nails Benjamin with a right hand. Here comes Burke... kick from Morrison... oh! Another kick to the back of the head... Morrison hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3?! Tazz: No! The ref says 2! Styles: Elijah Burke somehow got the shoulder up! Tommy Dreamer is back in... right hand to Elijah Burke... and another. Dreamer... sends Burke off the ropes... Burke ducks Dreamer... but he runs right into a John Morrison dropkick! Morrison with the cover... 1... 2... and Benjamin makes the save! Tazz: What is it gonna take to put these guys away? Styles: Benjamin... clothesline takes him and Dreamer over the top to the floor. We’ve got Morrison and Burke alone in the ring... Tazz: And that’s bad news for Elijah Burke. Styles: Morrison... sends Burke off the ropes... kick to the midsection... moonlight... no... Elijah Burke’s got hold of the referee... oh! From behind, Shelton Benjamin just levelled Morrison with the ECW Title! Tazz: What the hell? C’mon ref! You had to see that?! Styles: Elijah Burke distracted the referee... and now he just slumps on top of Morrison. 1... 2... Tazz: No. Not like this... Styles: 3! Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke have done it. They’ve beaten Tommy Dreamer and John Morrison. Tazz: Dammit! I mean it looked like Morrison was gonna hit the moonlight drive and put Elijah Burke away but... Styles: If we’ve learned anything over these last few months, it’s to never underestimate the ECW Champion Shelton Benjamin. For myself and Tazz, we’ve got to go folks. Tonight Helms will go against Matt Bentley, but after weeks of attacks, Kendrick is sure to make his presence felt at some point. Finlay v Kenny Dykstra Last week Finlay won a four way match to crown himself the number one contender for the United States Championship. Finlay will now go on to face Umaga at the Bash, but tonight he takes on Kenny Dykstra, one of the other men involved in last week’s four way. A win for Dykstra could push him up the card and into the mind of GM Teddy long, but the Irishman will be full of confidence and no doubt pull out all his tricks to ensure victory tonight. Deuce and Domino v Kofi Kingston and Ron Killings These two teams have faced before, with Deuce and Domino handing Kingston and Killings their first loss since arriving on Smackdown. That match was for a shot at Deuce and Domino's tag team titles, but with Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero taking the titles away, this match is all about settling the score fro last time. Kane v Mark Henry The other half of last week’s United States four way meet as Kane and Henry square off. These two have had their problems in recent weeks, with Henry and MVP attacking Kane backstage at one point. Kane will be out to extract some revenge for the past actions, but Henry has been gaining a lot of momentum lately, and eh will no doubt be favourite to power his way to victory tonight. Chavo Guerrero v Zack Ryder This match is a preview of sorts for the World Tag Team Title match to be held at the Great American Bash. The number on contenders, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, will no doubt be after a win to announce themselves as serious contenders to the titles. However, the champions Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero will be out to prove why they are the champions, but as always they will be wary of Edge and his guarantee that he will lead his boys to tag team gold. Montel Vontavious Porter and Edge v The Undertaker and Matt Hardy Since these four can't stop attacking each other, Smackdown GM Teddy Long ahs decided to let them go at each other in a tag team match tonight. With the Great American Bash just over a week away, both teams will be determined to win to push themselves as favourites for the fatal four way at the Bash for the title. Edge and MVPO have proved themselves to be resourceful characters in the past, but they have both been on the losing end of feuds with the opponents in the past, so there is everything to play for in tonight’s main event. ------- Gregory Helms v Matt Bentley Finlay v Kenny Dykstra Deuce and Domino v Kofi Kingston and Ron Killings Kane v Mark Henry Chavo Guerrero v Zack Ryder Montel Vontavious Porter and Edge v The Undertaker and Matt Hardy

We are sold out in Philadelphia, PA, as we take one step closer to the Great American Bash. Hello everyone, I’m Michael Cole, my colleague as always is Jonathan Coachman, and Coach, we went off the air last week with the World Heavyweight Champion MVP standing tall in the centre of the ring with Matt Hardy and Edge laid up by the champion. Coach: Right and you’ll notice the Undertaker was nowhere to be seen. The lights didn’t go out, none of that stuff happened. If you ask me, The Undertaker is scared of MVP. He doesn’t want anything to do with the champion. Cole: And speaking of MVP, he’s in the ring right now, as we go into the VIP Lounge... MVP: Standing before you is the jaw droppin’, bottle poppin’ World Heavyweight Champion! You realise that since I’ve been champion, Smackdown has had its highest ever ratings? Everybody wants to see MVP! Everybody wants to know what I’m gonna do next. We gonna do things a little bit different in the VIP lounge tonight. But first... I want to welcome my first guest to the VIP lounge... I want you all to welcome... Edge! YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME Cole: Well here he comes... the Rated R Superstar... the former World Heavyweight Champion... and one of the men who will be involved in the fatal four way at the Great American Bash. Coach: For my money, if anybody is going to take away MVPs title, and I know that’s not going to happen, but if it did, it’s going to be this man right here. Edge is clearly the biggest threat to MVP. MVP: Edge... good to have you in the VIP Lounge man. And now... I’d like you all to welcome my second guest... Matt Hardy. Cole: Matt Hardy, the former United States Champion. A man who has never been in a heavyweight title match before. Talking with Matt Hardy, he said this is the biggest opportunity of his career, and he’s determined to take advantage of it. Coach: Well he may be determined, but it’s not going to happen for him. MVP: I also should tell everyone, that The Undertaker was invited to be here, but he chose not to attend. Coach: You see Cole! I told you he’s scared! He won’t even get in the ring to talk to MVP! Cole: I’m not sure I believe that... MVP: So... you two guys think you can take my title away from me? You two think you’ve got a shot at my gold? Let’s think about this. Edge... you’ve been a champion on both brands... you’ve also beaten The Undertaker in the past. Matt... it took you 10 years to get one title shot. The Undertaker... he won’t be much competition. And then there’s me... the champion. I’m half man, half amazing. I’m the fastest rising star in the history of the WWE. And if you two... Matt: Why don’t you shut up! I’m sick and tired of listening to you run your mouth. Let me tell you two something. I’m not going in here to make up the numbers. I’m going into this match for one thing, to become the World Heavyweight Champion. Edge: Whoa, whoa. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves there junior. I mean... this is the World Heavyweight Championship Matt. This is the big leagues. This is where the big boys play. You sure you’re up for this? Matt: Why don’t we find out right now? Teddy: Whoa, whoa playa... hold on there. MVP: What you doing out here Teddy? You ain’t allowed in the VIP lounge! Teddy: Well that doesn’t concern me a whole lot... but there is something I gotta say that will concern the three of you in the ring right now. That is... The Undertaker is here tonight... and we’re going to have ourselves a preview of the four way at the Bash. It’s going to the World Heavyweight Champion MVP... teaming up with Edge... to face Matt Hardy and The Undertaker! Cole: Wow! What a huge match that’s going to be! Coach: Now what is this idiot Teddy Long doing?! Cole: What a main event we’re going to have tonight, here on Smackdown! ------- Cole: Welcome back to Smackdown folks. In the ring, Matt Bentley... and here comes Gregory Helms. Helms has been on a roll since he returned at Night of Champions, but last week the Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick got a little bit of revenge for the attacks of Helms in recent weeks. Coach: What you meant to say was that Brian Kendrick attacked Gregory Helms from behind after a gruelling match. Cole: And how is that any different to what happened at Night of Champions... Gregory Helms v Matt Bentley *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Helms, going back to work on the back of Bentley, driving the knee into the spine. Coach: And again we’ve talked in recent weeks about Helms not being a high flyer like the Cruiserweights. He gets you down on the mat and he wares you down. For me, that gives him an advantage over guys like Brian Kendrick. Cole: Certainly have to believe that eventually we will see Gregory Helms and Brian Kendrick going at it for the Cruiserweight Championship. Coach: Exactly right. Gregory Helms has been out for so long, but he is the kind of athlete who could come back and win that Cruiserweight Title almost straight away. Cole: Matt Bentley... managing to fight back to his feet... hits Helms with an elbow... and another... Bentley sends Helms to the corner... and he runs into a boot. Helms out the corner... back body drop! Great move by Bentley... and he follows it up with right hands. Coach: Helms has gotta fight this. He’s gotta slow things down again... Cole: Bentley trying to quicken the pace... sends Helms off the ropes... great standing dropkick. Bentley with the cover, 1... 2... and Helms gets the shoulder up. Coach: Well I gotta give credit to Matt Bentley, that was a nice series of moves... but this right here is a mistake. Cole: Matt Bentley... going to the top rope... Coach: No why do this? Why take the risk of doing this? Cole: Maybe he wants to put on a show for the fans at the same time as winning the match? Coach: Ah who care about these people? Cole: Bentley... flying moonsault... nobody home! Helms barely able to roll out of the way. Coach: And that’s it. It’s over now. Gregory Helms is going to take advantage of this. Cole: It looks like you’re right. Helms... has Bentley up... but Bentley counters by driving Helms into the corner. Bentley... and again Helms got the boot up. Helms... off the second rope... diving neckbreaker! Great move by Helms, hooks the leg, 1... 2... and this time it’s Matt Bentley who barely kicks out. Coach: Yeah but it’s only a matter of time before... Cole: Bentley from behind with a roll-up... 1... 2... and Helms kicks out again. Both men with nearfalls... Bentley ducks the right hand...and there’s a clothesline. Matt Bentley, looking to build some momentum... sends Helms to the... Helms reverses it... Bentley off the second rope... Coach: He caught him! Cole: Helms caught Moore in mid air... oh! And that... that was the Shining Wizard! Helms just planted Matt Bentley, and here’s the cover... 1... 2.. 3. And another win for the ever impressive Gregory Helms. Coach: And Teddy Long, if you’re back there watching this, Gregory Helms deserves a shot at Brian Kendrick! Gregory Helms beat Matt Bentley (C-) ------ *we cut backstage to Josh Matthews* Josh: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, he is Smackdown’s newest superstar... CM Punk! And Punk, last week was your first week on Smackdown, and you got a victory in your first match over the Great Khali... but the night did not have a happy ending thanks to JBL. Punk: JBL, you said last week that I should be paying you respect. Well were I come from, respect is earned. And if people don’t respect me here on Smackdown... then I’m going to have to go out and earn it. And it starts with you JBL. Right now... I’m challenging you to a match at the Great American Bash. Like I said, I’m here on Smackdown for one thing... to be World Heavyweight Champion. And if I’ve got to go through you to get there... then that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Cole: Well a challenge made by CM Punk to JBL for the Great American Bash. We’ll have to wait and see if JBL is going to accept... Coach: You think he won’t? JBL isn’t going to stand for this. He’s going to accept and he’s going to make an example of CM Punk at the Bash. Cole: Well like Is aid, we’ll wait and see the outcome of this... and here comes Finlay and Hornswoggle! Finlay, who last week won the number one contenders match for the United States Championship. He will face Umaga at the Great American Bash... Finlay v Kenny Dykstra *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Finlay with another right hand, sends Dykstra off his feet... but nice drop toe hold from Dykstra hangs Finlay up on the bottom rope. That could be the opening Kenny Dykstra needs in this match. Dykstra... follows it up with an elbow drop. Coach: And a guy like Kenny Dykstra, one opening is all he needs. Cole: Dykstra now going to work with the boots... and now he locks on a headlock, trying to wear Finlay down on the mat. And there you see Hornswoggle on the outside, trying to get this crowd behind Finlay, trying to encourage him back into the match. Coach: That damn leprechaun oughta keep his mouth shut. Cole: Finlay... back to his feet... manages to break the hold... but Dykstra nails him with a clothesline. Dykstra goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Finlay gets the shoulder up. Dykstra staying on Finlay though... as he drives him into the corner. Dykstra... Irish whip... and Finlay hits the corner hard... but he gets the boot up as Dykstra was charging in. Coach: Stay on him Kenny! Cole: Finlay ducks a right hand... and he scores with a clothesline of his own. Finlay starting to build some momentum... he has Dykstra up... he’s going to go for the Celtic cross... Coach: No! Get out of there Kenny... Cole: Dykstra down the backside... oh! Dykstra with a DDT, plants Finlay. Coach: Great counter by Kenny... and this oughta finish it off. Cole: Dykstra... going to the top rope, looking for that legdrop... and Hornswoggle is on the apron... Coach: Get that damn leprechaun down from there! Cole: Dykstra distracted... Finlay has him on his shoulders... Celtic cross! Finlay connects! Coach: You gotta be kiddin’ me! Cole: Finlay hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! Finlay, with an assist from Hornswoggle gets the win! Coach: What is this? How the hell can that damn leprechaun get away with this every week? Cole: Finlay and Hornswoggle... and wait a second... that’s Umaga! Coach: Turn around Finlay! Turn... oh! Cole: Umaga with a kick to the face! Hornswoggle ducks for cover... and Umaga... dragging Finlay back to his feet... Coach: Do it! Do it Umaga! Cole: Oh! Samoan spike! Umaga has decimated Finlay! Coach: What do you think of the number one contender now Cole? Umaga has just laid him out in the centre of the ring! And I hope he goes after that damn leprechaun next! Finlay beat Kenny Dykstra (B-) ------- *we cut backstage to Teddy Long* Teddy: What you doing here playa? JBL: Challenge me? He wants to challenge me? Teddy: Well yeah I guess he does. JBL: Well you do me a favour Teddy. You tell CM Punk... I accept his challenge. Teddy: Alright. At the Bash... it’s you and Punk, one on one. JBL: And you can do something else for me Teddy. Teddy: What’s that? JBL: You can tell Punk... that when the Great American Bash is over... he will respect me. Cole: Some strong words from JBL. Coach: And he’s right. CM Punk has just walked into Smackdown and been acting like he runs the show. Cole: Yeah but if you asked me about respect in the Smackdown locker room, JBL isn’t the first name that springs to mind. Coach: What do you mean by that? You trying to say... Cole: Hang on Coach... here comes Deuce and Domino. The former tag team champions, who lost their titles at Night of Champions... Deuce and Domino v Ron Killings and Kofi Kingston *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Domino... clubbing away at the head of Kofi Kingston. The newcomers to Smackdown, Kingston and Killings are in trouble here, as Domino goes for the cover, 1... 2... kick out from Kingston. Coach: And these two guys Kingston and Killings, they made their debut as a team about a month ago, and they got some good wins, they were doing good, until they came up against Deuce and Domino. And that’s because Deuce and Domino are former tag team champions. That’s a level, that for my money, Kingston and Killings aren’t at yet. Cole: Deuce and Domino certainly have the edge in terms of experience... as a tag is made, here comes Deuce into the match... and he goes to work with the boots to the back of Kingston. Coach: And this is smart strategy from Deuce and Domino. They’ve been working on the back of Kingston, they should keep going to work on it as they make their tags. Cole: And Deuce taking a cheap shot at Ron Killings on the apron... and he turns into a right hand from Kofi... and another... Kingston off the ropes... but Deuce nails him with a heel kick. Caught Kingston right on the jaw. Deuce still looking a little worse for wear, tags in Domino... and he drives the elbow again into the back of Kofi. Coach: I gotta say, I’m very impressed with Deuce and Domino. I thought they were robbed by Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero at Night of Champions, it should be them who are going to the Great American Bash to face Hawkins and Ryder, but they haven’t let that affect them. Cole: What are you talking about? They lost fair and square at Night of Champions... and they could be in trouble again, as Kingston starts kicking away... oh! Kingston with a hard kick to the face... and there’s the tag to Ron Killings! Coach: He’s the fresh man. This isn’t good for Deuce and Domino... Cole: Killings into the ring... clothesline to Domino... and another one. Domino sent to the corner... Killings with a splash in the corner! Killings now, going for a suplex... but Deuce from behind just clocked Killings. Deuce now... dropkick from Kofi! Kofi now... charges Deuce... but he gets elevated all the way over the top to the floor. Coach: And now it’s two on one in the ring. Deuce and Domino have to take advantage of this. Cole: Killings... sends Domino to the corner... but Deuce again attacks him from behind. Deuce and Domino working quickly now... the referee’s gotta get one of these guys out of the ring... Coach: They’ve got him set up... Cole: Deuce off the ropes... crack ‘em in the mouth! Killings heads snaps back off the canvas, Domino hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! And again, Deuce and Domino score the victory over Kingston and Killings. Coach: Great tag team wrestling from Deuce and Domino. Kofi Kingston was down hurt on the floor, they worked quickly to take advantage of the two on one and they get the victory. Cole: Kingston and Killings now 0 for 2 against the former tag team champions Deuce and Domino. Deuce and Domino beat Ron Killings and Kofi Kingston (C+) ------ *we cut backstage to Edge and the Edge-heads* Edge: Finally this is all falling into place. I mean... I’ve got my title shot at the Bash, you guys have yours. It’s all starting to come together. Hawkins: Yeah but... you think we all win at the Bash? Edge: Whoa, what? Don’t tell me you guys are having doubts now? Ryder: It’s just we’ve never beaten Rey and Chavo. Hawkins: Yeah and tonight Zack’s got to face Chavo one on one. Edge: Hey... guys. Don’t worry about it. I got your backs OK? I told you guys all those months ago that I’d take you to glory, and I stand by that. You guys have helped me out over the last few months, and I owe you guys. Ryder: Alright man thanks. Edge: Alright you guys get out of here. Cole: Now what does Edge mean by that? Edge has no business being involved in the tag team title match. Coach: If it involves Rey Mysterio, it’s Edge’s business. Cole: Well... here comes Mark Henry. Earlier we saw Finlay and Kenny Dykstra go at it, now we’ll see the other two men involved in the United States number one contenders match, as Mark Henry takes on Kane... Kane v Mark Henry *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Henry... another clubbing blow to the back of Kane... and again. Last week these two were chasing a shot at the United States Championship, tonight they face each other... and so far it’s Henry in control as he takes Kane to the mat with that belly to belly suplex. Henry goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Kane gets the shoulder up. Coach: The amount of power Mark Henry has is unbelievable. When this guy is going strong, no one can match him. Cole: Well Kane trying to match him, swinging with the right hands... but Henry ducks and he gets Kane in a bear hug. Coach: And this is smart right here. Mark Henry could crush the life out of Kane right now. Cole: This is a bad situation for Kane to be in. This bear hug can crack ribs, it can literally squeeze the life out of you. Coach: Exactly. Let’s remember this, there are over 6 billion people on this planet, and Mark Henry is the strongest out of all of them. Cole: Kane... trying to fight this, trying to fight his way free. Kane drives the elbow... and again... but still Henry has the hold locked in. Henry... drives Kane into the corner. That broke the bear hug... but here comes Henry... nobody home! Henry went for the splash and Kane managed to move. Coach: Kane now going to the top rope... he’s very dangerous when he gets up there. Cole: Kane... off the top rope... clothesline connects! Kane goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Henry kicks out. Kane with all the momentum now... right hand to Henry... and another... Henry sent off the ropes... runs into a big boot from Kane. Coach: And I think I just saw Kane call for this to end... Cole: Kane... stalking Mark Henry, waiting for him to get back to his feet... Coach: No! No... he can’t do this... Cole: Kane has Henry by the throat... chokeslam! Chokeslam form Kane! Coach: Unbelievable! Cole: Kane goes for the cover... 1... 2... 3! And the Big Red Machine gets the win! Coach: Well... Kane with a impressive win... Cole: You’re almost in shock aren’t you Coach? Coach: I am in shock! Cole: Kane has left Coach speechless with the victory. Kane beat Mark Henry (C+) ------ *we cut backstage to Eve Torres* Eve: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time, they are the WWE Tag Team Champions... Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio! And Rey, Chavo, earlier tonight our cameras saw Edge telling Hawkins and Ryder that he had their backs going into the Great American Bash and that he was going to lead them both to glory. What do you guys have to say about that? Mysterio: I got to say this. Edge, you got nothing to do with this match. This is between me, Chavo and your boys Hawkins and Ryder. If you get involved at the Bash, I’m coming after you man... and it won’t end the same way as One Night Stand. Eve: And Chavo, if I could just ask you... is there any update on Vickie Guerrero i mean we haven’t seen here since the wedding and... Chavo: Listen... Vickie is resting right now. She doesn’t need to be involved with all of this. She had her heart broken by Edge... and that’s enough for me and Rey to want to protect her from all of this. And Edge... don’t think we’ve forgotten what you did. Your time is still to come... and when it does... I’m sure Vickie will be there to savour it with us. Cole: A difficult question there from Eve Torres regarding Vickie Guerrero. I’m sure I speak for everyone here at Smackdown when I say we wish Vickie all the best in her ongoing recovery from the breakdown she suffered that night in Toronto when she was humiliated at the altar by Edge and Torre Wilson. Coach: You don’t speak for me. I’m glad Edge did it. He saved himself from making the biggest mistake of his life. Nobody should marry into that family. Cole: Edge is in action later tonight, but here comes Hawkins and Ryder. Zack Ryder, set to go one on one with Chavo Guerrero when we return. Chavo Guerrero v Zack Ryder *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Ryder again looking to go back to work on the knee of Chavo... elbow drop on top of the knee. Coach: And this is smart from Zack Ryder. He could do some real damage to Chavo ahead of the title match at the Great American Bash. Edge has taught these two guys well. Cole: Ryder now... looking for a Boston crab I think... but Chavo managed to counter. But you look at Chavo trying to get back to his feet... Coach: Ryder has damaged that leg so much Chavo can barely stand. Cole: Ryder with the right hand... Chavo blocks it... hits one of his own. Again Chavo blocks... and hits another right hand... but Ryder again goes for the knee. Coach: Good. That’s what Ryder needs to do. Go to work on that knee, stay on it. Don’t let Chavo recover. Cole: Ryder whips Guerrero off the ropes… and Hawkins grabs the boot… and from behind Ryder takes down Chavo. Ryder with a chop block when Chavo wasn’t looking. A blatant cheap move by Hawkins, Ryder takes advantage… Coach: It’s what great tag teams do, they use the numbers advantage to get ahead in a match… Cole: Curt Hawkins is not in this match, he shouldn’t be getting involved in this… Coach: Hawkins is only out here to make sure Rey Mysterio doesn’t stick his nose in this match. Hawkins has as much right being out here as Mysterio does. Cole: Well Ryder is in charge just now, applying pressure to the knee of Chavo Guerrero. Chavo… kicks Ryder in the face… and again. Chavo, back to his feet… comes off the ropes… crossbody, here’s a cover… 1-2… Hawkins kicks out at 2. Chavo... off the second rope... double axe handle. Coach: Damn it Ryder… you better do something Hawkins… Cole: What do you mean by that? Chavo… going to the top rope… Hawkins trying to interfere… he gets kicked off the apron! Coach: He can’t do that! He just put his hands on a man not even in this match! Cole: Hawkins and Mysterio now... going at it on the floor. Chavo… off the top rope... frog splash! Chavo connects, here’s the cover… 1… 2… 3! Chavo Guerrero gets first blood for the tag team champions! Coach: I can’t believe this! What are these guys… Cole: And from behind… Hawkins with a chair... Chavo ducks... springboard dropkick from Rey! He kicked that chair right back in Hawkins face! Coach: What the hell is wrong with these two? I mean does Edge have to do everything for these guys?! Chavo Guerrero beat Zack Ryder (B) ------- *we cut backstage to Montel Vontavious Porter and Edge making their way to the ring* Cole: Well there you see them folks. The World Heavyweight Champion and one of the challengers. MVP and Edge team up next... Coach: In what could be the greatest tag team in WWE history! MVP: I think I should be the captain. Edge: What? No way! I’m a former 13 time tag team champion. I know a lot more about tag team wrestling than you do. MVP: Yeah but I’m the current World Heavyweight Champion. I’ve got... Edge: You’re not the captain, I am... MVP: What you talking about... Cole: There is tension between MVP and Edge ahead of the match. They better get it to of their systems now, because they’ll take on Matt Hardy and The Undertaker when we return! Montel Vontavious Porter and Edge v The Undertaker and Matt Hardy *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Edge... another boot to Hardy... and there you see Edge, showboating to the crowd, showing a total lack of respect. Coach: And why not? Let’s make one thing clear Cole, Edge has no respect for Matt Hardy, and he has no respect for The Undertaker. And to be perfectly honest, neither do I. I can’t stand The Undertaker. Cole: Especially not after he chokeslammed you the Friday before Night of Champions. Coach: Don’t ever mention that again. Cole: Matt Hardy in a world of trouble here... as again Edge drives the knee into the ribs of Hardy. Edge trying to gain a psychological advantage over Matt Hardy, trying to build on the victory he had over Matt last week. Coach: Right and Edge and MVP both know that if they can take out Matt Hardy and The Undertaker, be it physically or mentally, then they can just go at each other this Sunday. Cole: You can hear MVP on the apron encouraging Edge to do more damage to Matt Hardy. Coach: Well let’s remember, these four men aren’t strangers to each other. The Undertaker and Edge had their battles with each other, Matt Hardy stole the United States Championship from MVP, Edge and Matt Hardy go back a long way, and it was MVP who beat The Undertaker for the title. These four don’t like each other, and all of that is going to show this Sunday. Cole: Well Edge is showing how much he hates Matt Hardy right now... as again he drives the elbow into the ribs. Tag made, here comes MVP. MVP off the ropes... drives the knee. Matt Hardy has taken a lot of punishment in this match so far. MVP now, putting Hardy in an abdominal stretch, really applying the pressure to the ribs. Coach: Listen to these people. It doesn’t matter how much noise you idiots make. MVP and Edge are killing Matt Hardy right now. Cole: Hardy trying to respond to the crowd, trying to fight back to his feet... Hardy is back up... and a hip toss sends MVP to the mat. MVP back up... right hand sends him down... and again. Hardy... sends MVP off the ropes... clothesline. MVP back up... Hardy sends him off the ropes... MVP reverses it... drop toe hold from the champion... MVP off the ropes... oh! A sickening kick to the skull from MVP. Coach: That did it right there. Hardy is out... Cole: MVP with the cover, 1... 2... and Hardy gets the shoulder up. MVP, not wasting any time, tags in Edge. Edge into the ring... sends Hardy to the corner... and Edge just raining down on Hardy with right hands. Coach: Look at Matt Hardy. He’s done. He’s taking a huge beating in this match... Cole: Oh! Hardy with a right hand... and another... and Edge and Matt Hardy trading blows! Hardy with the upper hand... Irish whip to the corner... Edge reverses... and Hardy walks right into a back body drop. Coach: Look at him! Matt Hardy doesn’t know where the hell he is! He’s out on his feet... Cole: Edge with the cover, 1... 2... and Hardy still has some fight left in him as he kicks out at 2. The Undertaker pacing up and down the apron, he can’t wait to get into this match. Coach: And Edge and MVP need to make sure he doesn’t get into the match. They can keep The Undertaker out of this match, pin Matt Hardy and go home winners. Cole: Edge sends Hardy to the corner... nobody home! Edge goes shoulder first into the turnbuckle... and Hardy slowly starts to crawl towards The Undertaker. Coach: Edge... MVP... somebody get in there and stop this! Cole: Edge tags in MVP... here comes The Undertaker! The Deadman is in! Right hand to the champion! Undertaker... sends MVP off the ropes... MVP runs into a big boot! Undertaker... he just threw Edge back into the ring! Matt Hardy is back up... clothesline sends Edge and Matt over the top rope! Coach: And now we’re left with MVP and Undertaker in the ring! Cole: The Deadman... stalking MVP... Undertaker... he’s got MVP up... Coach: No! Cole: Tombstone! Tombstone! Undertaker with the tombstone... goes for the cover... 1... 2... Edge makes the save! Coach: Yes! Good! Cole: Edge just saved MVP... and now Edge is lining up The Undertaker... Coach: Do it Edge! Do it! Cole: Spear! Spear! Edge with the spear! Edge hit the spear! Edge hit the... here comes Matt! Hardy and Edge brawling again... hey! Coach: MVP has the cover! Cole: 1... 2... 3! Dammit! MVP took advantage of the spear by Edge to get the win! Coach: Yes! That’s championship material right there Cole. MVP saw his opening and he took it! That's exacty what could happen at the Bash! Cole: MVP has pinned The Undertaker again. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch v The Highlanders Cade and Murdoch have the World Tag Team Champions the Canadian Bulldogs firmly in their sights after the actions of the last two weeks. The redneck wrecking crew are in action tonight against The Highlanders, and Cade and Murdoch will be looking for a shot at the gold sooner rather than later. Cody Rhodes v Snitsky Cody's date with destiny arrives this Sunday at the Great American Bash when he steps into the ring against Randy Orton. All signs point to Orton dominating that match, and the tale of the tape says Snitsky should dominate this one as well. Rhodes will be hoping for a win tonight, but Orton could be poised to repeat his actions of last week and strike when Cody least expects it. WWE Women’s Championship Match Melina v Mickie James The title changed hands at Night of Champions, and tonight Mickie gets her rematch. Both women are multiple times Women’s Champion, but the lure of gold is still strong, and this promises to be a real catfight between two divas who have developed a strong rivalry with each other. William Regal v Jeff Hardy This all started when Regal assaulted Paul London after London scored a victory over the Englishman on Raw. As Jeff Hardy made the save, he vowed revenge for his protégé London, and his chance comes tonight. Recent weeks have seen the two meet in tag action and even have a running battle during last week’s Paul London/Santino Marella match, but it all comes down to a one on one showdown live on Raw. Bobby Lashley v Apolo Revenge is also on the mind of Bobby Lashley. Robbed of the Intercontinental Title as Apolo made the save for Carlito at Night of Champions, Lashley has been trying to get his hands on the man from the Caribbean ever since. It all boiled over last week as Lashley made an appearance on the Cabana, and Carlito has said if Lashley can beat Apolo tonight, he will get another shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Batista, The Big Show, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle v Triple H, Mr Kennedy and Canadian Bulldogs A huge 8 man tag team match is tonight's main event, with this match being signed by General Manager Shane McMahon. Jericho and Angle will meet for the WWE Title this Sunday at the Bash, and while they both proclaimed their respect for each other early in this feud, the war of words has escalated in recent weeks. Big Show and Batista will meet Triple H and Kennedy this Sunday, with the rivalry between the four set to explode if they meet tonight. As for the Bulldogs, they have been on a meteoric rise since they debuted as a tag team on Raw, becoming champions and now finding themselves in a main event. They will see this as a huge opportunity to impress the boss, but do they have the skills and mental toughness for a confrontation of this size? -------- Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch v The Highlanders Cody Rhodes v Snitsky Melina v Mickie James William Regal v Jeff Hardy Bobby Lashley v Apolo Batista, The Big Show, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle v Triple H, Mr Kennedy and Canadian Bulldogs

We are live and we are sold out in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. I’m Jim Ross, alongside the hall of famer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, and King, we went off the air last week to carnage, as all hell broke loose after our main event. King: Right and tonight who knows what we’re going to see? I mean no doubt Shane McMahon, Triple H and Mr Kennedy will all want to get their hands on Batista and the Big Show. JR: That and the fact that we’re just 6 days away from the Great American Bash, where Chris Jericho will defend the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle. King: What a match that’s going... HERE COMES THE MONEY JR: Well folks... I’m sure I don’t need to tell you... but it seems we are kicking things off with the general manager of Raw... Shane McMahon. And I don’t think I’m going to like what he has to say... Shane: Tonight... I’m out here to announce the main event of our show this evening. You see, this Monday Night Raw. This is the A show, this is the number one brand... but more importantly... this is my show! CM Punk... you had the nerve to come onto my show and embarrass me? Teddy Long... you think your show is better than mine? Well I’d like to see Smackdown beat this main event tonight. Tonight... live... we’re going to have ourselves and 8 man tag team match! King: Wow! Who could be involved in that? JR: That’s a big main event for Raw! Shane: Tonight... you’re going to see the two men who will face off at the Great American Bash, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle... teaming up with the Big Show and Batista! JR: What a team that is! King: Who’s going to be able to compete with that? Shane: And they will team up to take on... the World Tag Team Champions, the Canadian Bulldogs... and Mr Kennedy... the Game, Triple H! King: I guess if anyone could do it it’s the Game. Shane: Thank you everybody... and enjoy the show. JR: A huge announcement to kick things off here on Monday Night Raw! ------- JR: We’re back live on Raw folks, and in the ring right now are the Highlanders. And here comes Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. It was a couple of weeks ago, when Cade and Murdoch requested a title shot against the Canadian Bulldogs. King: Right and they were pretty much disrespected by those young punks. JR: And Smith and Wilson, they’d had enough of Val Venis trying to score a win over them, they were going to assault Val after the match last week... King: Until Cade and Murdoch made the save that is... Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch v The Highlanders *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Tag made… Robbie tags in Rory. And the Highlanders now… have really gone to work on Trevor Murdoch so far in this match. King: Well, smart strategy to leave Lance Cade on the apron and go to work on Murdoch. JR: Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch still looking for that tag team title shot against the Bulldogs. They respectfully asked for a shot a couple of weeks ago... King: And they were disrespected by the answer they got. JR: Robbie… sends Murdoch to the corner… and follows him in with a clothesline. And Robbie… oh. He was looking for a bulldog out of the corner… but Trevor Murdoch managed to hold on. Murdoch now... clothesline to Robbie... and another one. Murdoch... off the ropes... but he runs into a sleeper from Robbie... but Murdoch hits a jawbreaker! King: Well both guys are down now... but now would be a great time for Trevor Murdoch to make it to the corner and make a tag. JR: Lance Cade… waiting in the corner for his chance to get into the ring. Robbie... he makes it to tag in Rory... and Murdoch tags in Cade! Lance Cade into the ring... back body drop to Rory. Cade now... sends Rory off the ropes... powerslam from Cade. King: Look out… JR: Robbie from behind with a shot to the back... but here comes Murdoch! Murdoch... clothesline to Robbie. And Robbie... he goes for a ride over the top rope. King: And it’s not looking good for Rory... he’s all alone in the ring with both Cade and Murdoch. JR: Murdoch with the right hand... and another... Rory sent off the ropes... kick from Murdoch... King: Here it comes! JR: Murdoch... ace of spades! Murdoch connects, goes for the cover... 1... 2... 3! King: A great move from Trevor Murdoch, and a great victory for Cade and Murdoch. And JR, if they keep this up, you gotta think they’ll get their shot at the Bulldogs eventually. JR: It could be a hell of a match. The Bulldogs will have to face Cade and Murdoch one of these days if they can keep on winning. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch beat The Highlanders (C-) -------- *we cut backstage to Todd Grisham* Todd: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time... he is the Legend Killer... Randy Orton. And Randy, this Sunday, you will go one on one with the man who challenged you, Cody Rhodes. And Randy... many people have questioned Cody Rhodes for challenging you... do you have any message for Cody? Orton: Cody Rhodes... you’ve talked about this being a step up in your career. You think you can use me as a stepping stone? I am the legend killer! I’ve ended careers, I’ve put people on the shelf... and I’ll do the same to you Cody. This Sunday at the Great American Bash... I’m going to embarrass you Cody. I’m going to kill your legend... before it’s even begun, King: Well there you have it JR. I didn’t think it was all that smart for Cody Rhodes to challenge Randy Orton... and from the sounds of things, I could be right. JR: Well don’t count out young Cody Rhodes yet. He could surprise you... and here he comes right now. Cody Rhodes, set to take on Snitsky in a matter of moments. Snitsky v Cody Rhodes *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Snitsky... sends Cody to the corner... oh! And Cody went hard into the turnbuckle... and there you see Cody just slump to the mat. King: And that right there shows the power of Snitsky. He may not be pretty to look at, but he can destroy people. JR: Nothing but bowling shoe ugly offense from Snitsky... as he just clubs Cody on the back with a hard right hand. Snitsky now... sends Cody off the ropes... and a huge boot from Snitsky sends Cody to the mat. King: And did you see Cody’s head snap back off the mat there? JR: I did see that, but Snitsky not wasting any time... he drives Cody into the corner. Snitsky now... lining Cody up... and Snitsky misses with the boot! Snitsky went for the boot in the corner, but he got hung up on the top rope. King: Snitsky would’ve kicked Cody’s head off if he connected with that. JR: Cody... kicks to the leg... Cody looking to take advantage of... wait, Cody with the roll-up... 1... 2... and Snitsky kicks out. King: Cody almost got the win out of nowhere there. JR: Cody Rhodes starting to build some momentum now. Cody off the ropes... ducks the right hand... flying forearm from Cody. King: JR... I think it might be time for Cody to hit that DDT... JR: Snitsky... slowly back to his feet... Cody goes for... no, Snitsky reverses, sends Cody off the ropes... King: Uh oh... Snitsky has him on his shoulders... hey! JR: Cody down the back... DDT! A big time DDT from Cody Rhodes... here’s the cover... 1... 2... 3. Another victory here on Raw for young Cody Rhodes. King: And although I don’t think it’s the smartest thing he’s ever done to challenge Randy Orton, at least he’s going into the Great American Bash with some... JR: Oh... wait... RK... no! Cody was ready for him... DDT! DDT! Cody hits the DDT! Orton tried the sneak attack again but Cody Rhodes was ready for him! King: I can’t believe it! Randy Orton said he was going to embarrass Cody Rhodes but... it’s Orton who’s embarrassed right now! JR: And Cody Rhodes, walking up the ramp... Orton is furious! Orton is livid in the ring... and Cody Rhodes is smiling! Has Cody Rhodes just scored a huge psychological victory over the Legend Killer? Cody Rhodes beat Snitsky (C) ------- *we cut backstage to Shane McMahon, Triple H and Mr Kennedy* HHH: What the hell Shane? What the hell are you doing? 4 on 4? Us with those rookies the Bulldogs? What the hell is going on in that head of yours? Shane: Listen... we all know that Jericho and Angle are going to face each other this Sunday. They may respect each other, but they don’t like each other. You think they’re going to be able to team up tonight? Kennedy: What’s your point? Shane: Think about it. Angle and Jericho, they’ll wind up fighting with each other. HHH: So what? What do I care about what Angle and Jericho do? Shane: When those two start going at it... it’ll be 4 on2. It’ll be Batista and Big Show... against you two and the Bulldogs. Huh? I mean... they won’t even make it to the Bash. Kennedy: Yeah but what about these Bulldogs? Can we trust them? Shane: Listen... they’re the tag team champions. I think they’ll be OK. And... who knows? Maybe along the way they fall in line with us... maybe they start doing things a little bit more... corporate. Know what I’m saying? HHH: Alright. But they better come through... otherwise I’m taking them out. Shane: It’s alright. I’m gonna go talk to them alright? Don’t worry... I got under control. King: JR... you don’t think it’s going to happen that way do you? JR: I hope not. I don’t know if even Batista and The Big Show could overcome a 4 on 2 situation. But right now though, the Women’s Championship is on the line. Melina won the title from Mickie James at Night Of Champions, and tonight Mickie cashes in her rematch clause... Women’s Championship Match Melina v Mickie James *we join the match near its conclusion* JR: Melina on top of Mickie... and the Women’s Champion hammering away with right hands. Mickie just trying to cover up. Melina almost turning this into a catfight for a second. King: Boy I love a god catfight JR. JR: I’m sure you do King... Mickie... kick to Melina... Mickie looking for a DDT... King: Melina trying to reverse it... JR: Melina counters... goes for a bulldog... Mickie counters that... Mickie ducks the right hand... oh! But she ran right into a clothesline from the Women’s Champion. King: And these two have faced each other so many times, they keep countering the counters. JR: They have had some battles in the past these two... as Melina grabs a handful of hair... and she slams Mickie’s head against the mat. Melina goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Mickie barely kicks out. King: We almost had a successful title defence right there. JR: Melina... sends Mickie to the corner... and a hrad kick from the champion. Irish whip... Mickie hits the corner, here comes Melina... but Mickie gets herself up... King: My favourite move! JR: Head-scissor takedown from Mickie! The King almost had a heart attack, and there’s a bulldog from Mickie! Mickie goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Melina just gets the shoulder up. King: That could’ve been it right there. That great head scissors then following it up with a bulldog. JR: Mickie James could regain her title right here. Mickie... hard right hand... and another... Melina sent off the ropes... Mickie hits a dropkick! She hooks the leg, 1... 2... and again Melina gets the shoulder up. Mickie not waisting any time... clothesline to Melina... and now it’s Mickie grabbing some hair. King: They’re starting to get pretty vicious out there! JR: Melina trying to hid out in the corner... but Mickie brings here out... Mickie ducks a right hand... neckbreaker! That should do it, 1... 2... and again the champion kicks out! King: What is it going to take for Mickie to put Melina away? JR: Mickie... sends Melina to the corner... but Mickie runs into a boot. Melina just raked the eyes, that was uncalled for... oh! Reverse DDT from the champion... here’s the cover... 1... 2... 3! Melina did it! Melina has retained the title! King: Mickie’s head went bouncing off the canvas... and that was enough for Melina to get the win. I’m kinda upset that it’s over. JR: Melina wins this match, and she is still the WWE Women’s Champion. Melina beat Mickie James to retain the Women’s Championship (C) ------- *we cut backstage to Maria* Maria: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time... they will team up this Sunday at the Great American Bash... Batista and The Big Show! And Batista... Big Show... how do you guys feel about the fact that you two are in a 8 man tag team match tonight against your opponents this Sunday, Triple H and Mr Kennedy? And to Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle... you two better be on the same page tonight. Otherwise you two are going to have more to deal with than just each other... you’re going to have to deal with us too. Big Show: That’s right. And Shane... you think if it does happen that way that your boys Kennedy and Triple H are just going to have their way with us? I got news for you Shane... I’m the biggest athlete in the world. This is the Animal! We are going to run right through your guys... and we might just let those punks Smith and Wilson survive the night. But no matter what... Batista: We’re going to do the job tonight... and then we’re going to finish it this Sunday! JR: Certainly a lot of intensity involved in both the main event tonight and the huge match this Sunday at the Bash. King: Right but if goes the way Shane McMahon thinks it will... I don’t like the chances of the Big Show and Batista. JR: Well... right now folks... here comes Mr Money in the Bank, Jeff Hardy! Jeff, who must feel like he owes a beating to William Regal after the actions of Regal and his crony Santino Marella in recent weeks... And a hard landing for Jeff... and Regal could make it a lot worse... oh! Regal sending Jeff Hardy shoulder first into the ring steps. King: The referee’s gotta try get control here. JR: Regal now rolling Jeff back into the ring... and he drives the knee into the shoulder of Hardy. Regal... great shoulderbeaker, Regal with the cover... 1... 2... and Hardy kicks out. Regal quickly keeping the pressure on, nailing Hardy with those uppercuts. Hardy sent off the ropes... sunset flip from Jeff... King: He can’t get Regal over... JR: Now he does! 1... 2... and Regal gets the shoulder up. Jeff staying on the attack, right hands to the face... Regal sent off the ropes... Regal counters... neckbreaker! Regal just dropped Jeff Hardy, and there’s a cover, 1... 2... and Jeff gets the shoulder up. King: And JR, you can tell Jeff’s in a lot of pain right now. JR: His neck and his shoulder have got to be killing him. Regal has armbar locked on now, trying to put all the pressure on Jeff. King: This crowd is trying to get Jeff back into this. JR: Jeff trying to fight his way out of this hold, trying to fight back to his feet... right hand from Hardy... and another... Jeff off the ropes... and Regal takes him down again with a knee to the midsection. A real hard shot from Regal... and he drops the elbow across the throat too. Regal with the cover, 1... 2... and Jeff barely kicks out! King: I thought that was it... and it looks like William Regal did too. JR: Regal is incensed, he’s getting in the referees face... and Hardy takes him down with an armdrag. Hardy with rights and lefts... sends Regal off the ropes... crossbody! Jeff hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Regal kicks out. Both men quickly backup... and Regal again hits Hardy with the knee. King: Neither of these guys giving their opponent any chance for a breather. JR: Regal... drives Hardy to the corner... and now Regal sends him across... Hardy to the top rope... whisper in the wind! Jeff hit the whisper in the wind! King: And now he’s going to the top rope... JR: Jeff off the top... swanton bomb! Jeff Hardy connects, hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! Jeff Hardy wins! Jeff Hardy gets a matter of revenge against William Regal! King: A great match and once again Mr Money in the Bank Jeff Hardy comes out on top! Smith: We won’t let you down boss. Shane: Mr McMahon? I like that. King: Well I guess the Bulldogs are on board JR. JR: I don’t think I’ve ever seen two guys suck up to somebody like that in my life. King: C’mon JR. I assuming they’d like to still have a job by the end of the night. They’re just doing what Mr McMahon wants. JR: Mr McMahon? Are you after a raise or something King? King: What? JR: Well anyway... here comes Bobby Lashley. Lashley, who for my money, should already be the Intercontinental Champion, except he was robbed by Carlito and Apolo. King: Well he’s getting a chance at revenge tonight. JR: And remember folks, if Bobby Lashley can beat Apolo tonight, Lashley gets another shot at Carlito and the Intercontinental Championship. King: How long is he going to hold him up there? JR: Lashley... still with Apolo in the air... and now he drops him to the mat. King: Apolo got some frequent flyer miles on that move. JR: And Apolo... not looking cool right now. Lashley... lining him up... here comes the spear... oh but Carlito has Lashley by the foot... and Apolo takes advantage with a clothesline. King: Carlito is out here trying everything he can do to make sure Lashley does not get that Intercontinental Title shot. JR: And Carlito has a pretty smug look on his face right now, as Apolo lays into Lashley with the boots. Apolo now dragging Lashley back to this feet... and look at the power of Apolo... oh! Running powerbomb from Apolo, that’s gotta be it. 1... 2... and Lashley kicks out! Apolo showed us all his power, but Lashley powered out of the pinfall. I’m sure Angle was going for Triple H, but he caught Jericho instead... as Batista and Kennedy are going at it on the floor, the Bulldogs are double teaming the Big Show... King: Look JR... Jericho’s back up... he’s asking Angle what that shot was about. JR: Now guys c’mon. It was an accident... wait... Angle and Jericho trading right hands! Angle and Jericho... they don’t want to wait for this Sunday, they’re getting it on right now! King: Look at these two throwing rights and lefts at each other! JR: Jericho... right hand... and another... but Angle counters with a knee. And both these guys now... going at it on the floor! King: This is just what Mr McMahon said would happen! They’re going at it... JR: Wait, back in the ring... we’ve got a cover... 1... 2... and the Big Show kicks out! Mr Kennedy had the leg hooked, but The Big Show managed to kick out. Angle and Jericho still going at it... oh! Angle just back body dropped Jericho onto the ramp! King: That was a real hard landing for the WWE Champion. JR: We’ve got Jericho and Angle, who are meant to be teammates going at it on the ramp... Kennedy has just tagged in Harry Smith, they’re going to work on the Big Show. King: All hell has broken loose, just like Mr McMahon said it would. JR: Will you stop it please with the Mr McMahon? Another tag made... in comes TJ Wilson... and there’s a legdrop right across the knee of the Big Show. Triple H, Kennedy and the Bulldogs have targeted the knee of... King: Hey... look! JR: Walls of Jericho! Walls of Jericho on the ramp! Jericho... applying all the pressure on Kurt Angle! We’ve got officials down here to try break this up... King: Yeah but they’re supposed to be partners. JR: Do they look like partners to you King? Jericho and Angle are beating the hell out of each other... as the Bulldogs are double teaming the Big Show... Show sent off the ropes... double clothesline! Big Show took down both of them! King: And I think... finally the officials have managed to drag Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle backstage and away from each other. JR: We’ve got to get a camera back there. There could be a war going on backstage. Back in the ring, we’ve got 4 on2... but the Big Show’s not gonna let that bother him! Big Show, knocks down Smith... there goes Wilson. Big Show... oh my! King: No! Not a... JR: Oh... he’s got both Bulldogs by the throat... double chokeslam! Big Show just chokeslammed both Bulldogs to the mat... and Smith and Wilson trying to regroup out here with Natalya Niedhart... and... King: What? Did they just say they’ve had enough? JR: I think they did! Smith and Wilson... the Bulldogs... they’re leaving! They’re walking up the ramp and... King: Mr McMahon is not going to be happy with this! JR: Look at Triple H, he’s furious! King: JR look... we’re left with 2 on2! JR: And it’s the 2 on 2 we’re going to see this Sunday! Big Show, Batista, Triple H and Kennedy! Yeah, now you realise what’s going on here Game! Now you... spear! Spear! King: Oh my God! JR: Batista just speared Kennedy right out the ring! And Batista... following Kennedy out to the floor. He wants to finish what he started last week! King: I can’t believe the Bulldogs just upped and left like that! JR: Neither can Triple H... clothesline from the Big Show! And the end may be near for the Game! Big Show... lining him up... King: No! JR: He’s got him by the throat... oh! Low blow from Triple H! Dammit! You son of a bitch! The referee’s calling for the bell. That’s a disqualification. But the Big Show is down and... oh! Kennedy just cracked Batista with a chair! King: Big Show is down... Batista is down... hey! Look! JR: Jericho and Angle! They’re back on the top of the ramp! Jericho and Angle brawling on the ramp again! Back in the ring... Kennedy and Triple H both have chairs. King: They’re not gonna... JR: They’re gonna cave Big Show’s skull in... Batista’s back up! Batista... chair shot to Kennedy! Triple H is getting out of there... King: Look at Angle... JR: Kurt Angle with the Ankle Lock locked in on the ramp! This... this is carnage! This is mayhem! Angle and Jericho going at it, Big Show, Batista, Triple H and Kennedy all going at it! All hell has broken loose here! King: Batista and Triple H! JR: We’re out of time folks! We’ve got to go! While he is still looking for that elusive first win, he continues to grow. Dreamer's mind will surely be on this Sunday, where he will be rooting for John Morrison to beat Shelton Benjamin. Hello everyone, I’m Joey Styles alongside former ECW Champion Tazz... and Tazz, this Sunday, the very future of ECW is on the line. Tazz: Right. Mick Foley has made it velar, he wants to be the ECW General Manager. We’ve all seen enough of Armando Estrada and Shelton Benjamin running the show around here. We need a change and hopefully Mick Foley and John Morrison can deliver it for us this Sunday. Styles: John Morrison and Shelton Benjamin go one on one this Sunday. It’s not about titles, it’s about power and control. It’s going to be a huge night for us... and it’s a night that will mean a huge amount for this man too. Tommy Dreamer, the heart and soul of CW will kick things off tonight... Tommy Dreamer v Matt Bentley *we join the match near its conclusion* Styles: Bentley... going to the top rope... missile dropkick... Dreamer side-steps, he’s got Bentley’s legs... catapult! Bentley goes head first into the turnbuckle... and he turns into a clothesline. Tazz: Matt Bentley has a very different style to Tommy Dreamer, but so far Dreamer is handling him. Styles: Dreamer now sends Bentley to the corner... but Tommy runs into a boot... Bentley now going to the second rope... and Bentley comes out the corner with a bulldog. Here’s a cover, 1... 2... and Tommy gets the shoulder up. Tazz: Again a nice move from Bentley, we’ve seen this guy a few times here on Sci-Fi and he gets better every time I see him. Styles: Bentley now... off the ropes... ducks a right hand... backbreaker from Bentley. And Tommy Dreamer, writhing in pain on the mat... Tazz: And Matt Bentley’s going back upstairs now... Styles: Bentley on the top rope... looking for a moonsault... nobody home! Bentley went fort eh moonsault, but Dreamer managed to roll out the way. Bentley back up... Dreamer knocks him down. Bentley sent off the ropes... back body drop! Tazz: Tommy’s rolling now. Bentley’s in trouble... Styles: Dreamer... drags Bentley to the corner... and he’s setting his feet up... Tazz: Tree of woe time! Styles: Dreamer... to the opposite corner... Tazz: Here he comes... Styles: Tree of woe! Dreamer connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Bentley barely gets the shoulder up. Tazz: I admire Matt Bentley for kicking out of that but... you gotta think Tommy Dreamer’s about to put him away. Styles: Bentley... stagers back to his feet... Dreamer has him up... Dreamer Driver! Tazz: That’s gotta be it... Styles: Dreamer hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Tommy Dreamer keeps on rolling with the victory! Tazz: And I don’t know what the future will hold for Tommy Dreamer after this Sunday, but I hope he’s still kicking ass on ECW when it’s all said and done. Tommy Dreamer beat Matt Bentley (B-) ------- *we cut backstage to Mick Foley, John Morrison and Kelly Kelly* Foley: Now I know last week we talked about maybe going easy on the whole palace of wisdom stuff. Now... this Sunday is a huge night... both for me and you. I made my decision to pick you to represent me... and I need you to come through for me. Morrison: You got it Mick. Foley: If you can win this match, then I can start to make some serious changes around here. I can make ECW a much better place to work in... if I can get in charge. Morrison: Mick... trust me... after this Sunday, we’ll both be dining in the palace of wisdom... Foley: Oh Jesus... Morrison: Let’s go Kelly... Foley: Where the hell is the palace of wisdom anyway? Styles: Certainly they are the odd couple of ECW. Mick Foley, the Hardcore Legend... and the New Face of Extreme, John Morrison. Tazz: Well it may be a odd pairing, but between them they can change ECW for the better. We can finally have a level playing field again. We could finally be rid of Armando Estrada as GM. I’m rooting for these two guys, I want to see Mick Foley in charge. Styles: Well right now... here comes the Extreme Teacher, Matt Striker. Striker, who alongside Big Daddy V was on a roll in recent weeks, saw it comes to a halt last week in Philadelphia. Tazz: Right but Balls Mahoney and Stevie Richards didn’t look like winners after that match last week. Styles: tonight Striker takes on Jesse Dalton... German suplex from Jesse... hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Striker kicks out, Tazz: Joey... are you seeing these two guys at ringside? Styles: Big Daddy V and Festus? Tazz: Yeah. They look like they want to get it on on the floor right now. Festus looks like he could stomp all over V. Styles: If anyone is crazy enought to try it’s Festus. Jesse is in control of Striker right now... as he slams Striker to the mat. Jesse now... taking a chance here, going to the top rope... here he comes... oh! Big Daddy V just pushed Jesse off the top rope. Striker had the referee distracted... Tazz: Look out! Here comes Festus! Styles: Festus and Big Daddy V going at it on the floor! Tazz: God look at this, it’s like two buffaloes going at it! Styles: V and Festus brawling on the floor... Jesse sedns Striker off the ropes... dropkick from Jesse! And again now, Jesse going to the top rope. Tazz: Oh! Festus just got driven into the ring post... Styles: Jesse on the top rope... no! Jesse went for the legdrop off the top, but there was nobody home. Tazz: Striker trying to take advantage... Styles: Matt Striker... golden rule! Striekr connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Matt Striker gets the win, but once again, for the second week Matt Striker and Big Daddy V have left a tag team in their wake. Tazz: Right. I mean last week it was Balls Mahoney and Stevie Richards... tonight it’s Jesse and Festus. Styles: Matt Striker gets another win... buut it’s Big Daddy V that looks dominant again. Matt Striker beat Jesse Dalton (C-) -------- *we cut backstage to Anastacia Rose* Rose: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time... he is the ECW Champion... the Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin! And champ, this Sunday you take on John Morrison at the Great American Bash, not for the ECW Championship... but for the General Manager’s position of ECW. Now we all know Armando Estrada has played a huge role in you becoming ECW Champion and... Benjamin: What? Hold on... I’m the ECW Champion because I am the best athlete in this company! I’m the Gold Standard. I kicked CM Punk’s ass out the door, I took on those two old fools Tommy Dreamer and Mick Foley at their own game and beat them. I don’t need any help out there... and I won’t need any help this Sunday too. I’m going to kick John Morrison’s ass... then I’m going to kick Mick Foley out the door. And after that... there ain’t no stoppin’ me! Styles: He is the ECW Champion, he’s always very confident... will he once again retain this stranglehold he and Armando Estrada hold over ECW? Tazz: I hope not. I mean, Shelton Benjamin’s a hell of an athlete, he’s a hell of a wrestler but... he shows total disrespect to us, to ECW, to the history of ECW... and I want to see John Morrison kick his ass. Styles: Well you may get your wish Tazz... but here comes the ECW Champion now. Shelton Benjamin, will go one on one with Smackdown’s Kofi Kingston... Tazz: I love this move... boom... boom... boom! Styles: Wait, Shelton counters, the roll-up... 1... 2... and Kingston kicks out. Shelton keeping up the pressure, he’s got Kingston locked into a Boston crab now. Tazz: That was a great counter from the ECW Champion, and now he’s wrenching back on the leg of Kofi. Styles: Kofi now trying to inch his way towards the bottom rope... and he makes it. But Shelton not releasing the hold... and he’s taking every second of that 5 count from the referee. Kofi crawling to the corner, still favouring his knee... as Shelton goes right back to work on it. Tazz: Smart strategy from Benjamin, he’s got Kofi Kingston in a bad way right here. Styles: Benjamin... lining Kofi up... nobody home! Shelton went for a splash in the corner, and Kofi managed to avoid the contact. Kofi now on the attack... kick to the leg... and another... oh! Great enziguri from Kingston, hooks the leg, 1... 2... and Shelton kicks out. Tazz: And that’s the big advantage Kofi has in this match. He’s so good with his feet. Styles: Kofi now... sending Shelton to the corner... but Kofi runs into an elbow... and a dropkick to the knee from the ECW Champion. Tazz: And Shelton just trying to keep Kofi grounded here. Styles: Benjamin... knee to the midsection, and another... Shelton off the ropes... dropkick from Kingston! Down goes Benjamin, and I think Kofi is lining him up... Tazz: Are we going to see an upset here Joey? Styles: It could happen... Kofi... trouble in... no! Shelton managed to duck the roundhouse kick... oh! Paydirt! The ECW Champion connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! And Shelton Benjamin gets the win, but that was a great effort from Smackdown’s Kofi Kingston. Tazz: And I hope John Morrison was paying attention to that. John Morrison and Shelton Benjamin both incredibly athletic guys... and that just shows you how Shelton Benjamin can make you mss and take advantage of it. Tazz: And we just saw Shelton Benjamin put on a strong performance against Kofi Kingston, John Morrison needs a good showing against Elijah Burke or... Estrada: You made a big mistake amigo. When Mick Foley asked you to represent him at the Bash, you should’ve said no. You should’ve walked away. Morrison: And why would I want to do that? Estrada: Because deep down you know you can’t beat Shelton Benjamin. And when you lose this Sunday... there’ll be no more Mick Foley... no one left to look out for you my friend. And since I will still be the General Manager... I am going to make your life hell! Morrison: You know what Estrada? I don’t care what you say. After this Sunday, you’re the one who’s going to be out the door... and ECW is going back to its roots. And I may not be the old school vision of ECW... but I am the new face of Extreme! Styles: John Morrison and Elijah Burke go one on one, when we return to ECW on Sci-Fi! Burke ducks... and a nice back suplex from Burke. The leg is hooked, 1... 2... and Morrison gets the shoulder up. And Burke quickly locks on a body scissors as he looks to keep Morrison grounded. Tazz: This puts a lot of pressure on the body, it drives the air out of you, and it wears down your opponent. Styles: Morrison is fighting this... rights and lefts raining down on Elijah. Morrison back to his feet... sends Burke off the ropes... and Burke hangs on to the top rope, and Morrison runs into a boot. Tazz: Elijah just stopped Morrison in his tracks... and now he’s going to the top rope. Styles: But Morrison catches him... and Burke is perched on the turnbuckle. Morrison goes up with him... and now both men are battling it out on the top rope. Tazz: This ain’t gonna end well... Styles: Morrison with shots to the ribs... and Morrison has Burke hooked up... Tazz: This is crazy! Styles: Morrison... oh! Suplex off the top rope! But who came off worse? Both men are down. Tazz: I don’t know. I mean both guys are down... the referee’s starting to count... Styles: Pain etched on both men’s faces... the count reaches 8... 9... both men back up, and they start trading forearms. Morrison off the ropes... clothesline takes Burke down... and again. Morrison with the kick... Burke catches it... enziguri! Morrison nails Burke, goes for the cover, 1... 2... and Burke barely gets the shoulder up. Tazz: I thought it was over after that kick. I don’t know how Burke managed to kick out. Styles: I don’t think Morrison knows either. But he goes on the attack again... Morrison sends Burke to the corner... oh! Morrison runs into a boot... and now Morrison gets driven into the corner. Tazz: Look out here. Burke’s got him lined up... Styles: Here comes the Elijah Express... no! Burke crashed into the turnbuckle... split legged corkscrew moonsault from Morrison! Shoulders down, 1... 2... and again Burke kicks out. Tazz: What is it going to take to keep this guy down? Styles: It could take... oh wait a second... you see what I see? Tazz: I see Shelton Benjamin coming out here. Styles: The ECW Champion, who will meet John Morrison this Sunday... and Morrison getting distracted... Burke from behind... no! Morrison counters the Elijah Experience... Moonlight Drive! Morrison connects, hooks the leg... Tazz: What the hell? Shelton Benjamin’s on the apron! Styles: Morrison and the referee distracted... right hand! Down goes Benjamin... oh! Low blow! Elijah hits Morrison behind the referee’s back... Elijah Experience! Tazz: Dammti! Styles: Burke goes for the cover... 1... 2... 3! Elijah Burke has pinned John Morrison, but it took a huge assist from Shelton Benjamin for him to do it. Tazz: Well... I hope it doesn’t happen like this on Sunday. I hope Mick Foley and John Morrison have got a back-up plan, or else we’re not going to see Mick Foley in ECW again. Styles: Shelton Benjamin has struck again. Ladies and gentlemen... welcome to Smackdown! We are sold out in Hershey, PA as the countdown to our huge fatal four way for the World Heavyweight Championship comes to an end. I’m Michael Cole and my broadcast colleague Jonathan Coachman is in the ring for an interview, but I have a feeling it’s going to one he’s not going to enjoy... Coach: First of all let me just say... I didn’t want this interview... I didn’t ask for this interview... I was ordered to conduct this interview against my will by Teddy Long. Saying that... will you please welcome my guest at this time... The Undertaker. GONG Cole: The lights go out... and pretty soon we’re going to have The Undertaker alone in the ring with Jonathan Coachman. The last time that happened, Coach got chokeslammed for his trouble. The Undertaker, who lost the World Heavyweight Championship to MVP at Night of Champions, will get his shot at regaining the gold this Sunday at the Great American Bash. Coach: Undertaker... I am under orders to ask you for your feelings and your opinions regarding this Sunday and the Great American Bash. Obviously, you are involved in the fatal four way for the World Heavyweight Championship... a match which quite frankly I feel is the most absurd, the most biased match I have ever heard of... Cole: Oh... Undertaker has Coach by the throat... Undertaker: I have giving you a warning before... and don’t think I won’t take you out. This Sunday... at the Great American Bash... you will bear witness... to the demise of MVP. This Sunday... is not about the World Heavyweight Championship... it’s about the execution of MVP. The sands of time will soon run out on MVP... and when they do... both he and you Jonathan Coachman... will rest... in... peace! GONG Cole: An intense interview from the Deadman. This Sunday, can The Undertaker regain the World Heavyweight Championship? ------- Cole: Welcome back to Smackdown folks. Coach, have you recovered from that interview with The Undertaker? Coach: Let me just say this Cole, that’s the last time he puts his hands on me! If he touches me again, I am going to sue! I will go straight to the top, hell I’ll even go to Vince McMahon himself! Nobody does that to me and gets away with it! Cole: Well... here comes Ron Killings. Killings is set for one on one action with the United States Champion Umaga... Umaga v Ron Killings *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: This match now spilling out onto the floor... oh! Umaga sends Killings shoulder first into the steel steps. Coach: I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again... you’re looking at the most dominant united States Champion in history! Cole: Well he just rolled Killings back into the ring, but Ron is in a whole heap of pain now. And Umaga slaps on that nerve hold, right on the neck of Killings. Coach: I honestly can’t wait for Umaga to get his hands on Finlay. Maybe he’ll get his hands on that damn leprechaun afterwards. Cole: Well Killings is trying to fight his way out of this nerve hold, but all the pressure of Umaga is coming down on top of him. This crowd trying to rally Killings, as he makes it back to his feet... elbow to the midsection... and another... but a huge chop to the chest sends Santino back down. Coach: Look at Killings trying to hide in the corner... Cole: Here comes Umaga... nobody home! Umaga went for the splash but he goes flying into the turnbuckle. This might be a chance for Killings... who scores with a kick to the leg... and another puts Umaga down to his knees... oh! A shot to head puts down the champion, as Killings hooks the leg, 1... 2... Umaga powers out, and he sends Killings flying through the ropes! Coach: Even when he kicks out, Umaga does it with power! Ron Killings almost landed in the front row! Cole: Killings quickly back up on the apron... and now he’s going to the top rope. Killings... oh my! Umaga caught him on his shoulders... Coach: Do it! Cole: Oh! Samoan drop! A devastating move from Umaga... and it’s about to get worse. Umaga... drags Killings back to his feet... oh! Samoan spike! Coach: That’s it. Cole: Umaga with the cover... 1... 2... 3. Another absolutely dominating victory for the United States Champion. Coach: Honestly Cole, have you ever seen a United States Champion look so dominant? Cole: Well there’s not many who... hey... Coach: What the hell is he doing out here? Cole: Finlay... oh! Finlay just wearing that shillelagh out on Umaga! Finlay... with shot after shot... oh! Umaga through the ropes... and Finlay is standing tall in the centre of the ring! Coach: What a sneak attack from Finlay! He had no right being out here doing that... Umaga beat Ron Killings (C+) -------- *we cut backstage to Josh Matthews* Josh: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time... Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins... and the Rated R Superstar, Edge! And Edge... this Sunday it’s set up for you and your boys Hawkins and Ryder to potentially take over Smackdown. I mean Hawkins and Ryder face Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero for the WWE Tag Team Titles... and you Edge are involved in the fatal four way for the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge: Exactly. That’s exactly the way I had it planned. First off Hawkins and Ryder wins the tag titles, then I become Heavyweight Champion again. What you people fail to realise is just how much of a genius I really am. I promised Hawkins and Ryder that I would deliver them gold... and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. This Sunday... will go down in history. The Great American Bash, 2008... will be the day Edge took over Smackdown. And when I’m in control... Smackdown is going Rated R! Cole: It is shaping up to be a huge night this Sunday. Coach: Right and I personally would be very happy if Edge won the World Heavyweight Title. As long as Matt Hardy and The Undertaker don’t win I’ll be happy. Cole: Well speaking of championships, here comes The Miz. Miz, who gets a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship next... Cruiserweight Championship Match Brian Kendrick v The Miz *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Miz... yanking away at the arm of Kendrick... leg sweep sends the champion to the mat... and a legdrop right across the shoulder. Miz hooks the leg, 1... 2... kick out by Kendrick. Coach: I have t admit, even though Miz is an ECW guy, he’s impressed me recently. He’s improved a lot in the ring, he went on a winning streak, and he deserves his shot at the Cruiserweight Title. Cole: Miz continuing to apply the pressure with the armbar... he’s just wrenching back on the shoulder of Brian Kendrick. Miz... scoops Kendrick... going for a shoulderbeaker... Kendrick down the backside... oh! Facebuster from Kendrick. Coach: And finally Brian Kendrick buys himself some time, but Miz is going back to work quickly. Cole: Kendrick ducks the right hand... atomic drop... and a great head-scissor takedown from Kendrick. Kendrick trying to quicken the pace... ducks a clothesline... dropkick from Kendrick. Kendrick... great standing moonsault! Shoulders down, 1... 2... and Miz kicks out. Coach: I gotta admit, I’m impressed with Brian Kendrick here. He’s working with one arm right now. Cole: Miz has left his mark on the champion, but it’s Kendrick who’s starting to build momentum now. Irish whip from Kendrick... Miz reverses... Kendrick with a sunset flip... 1... 2... and again Miz kicks out. Coach: I’m also impressed with the Miz. He wants the Cruiserweight Title badly. Cole: Kendrick... misses with the right hand... and Miz answers with a kick to the midsection. Miz... drives Kendrick to the corner. Miz sends Kendrick across the ring... Kendrick bounces onto the apron... drives the shoulder into Miz... springboard DDT! Coach: What a move! Cole: Great move from Kendrick, here’s the cover, 1... 2... and again Miz kicks out. Coach: Miz is as tough as they come. This guy is just refusing to be put away. Cole: Kendrick... sends Miz to the corner... oh! Kendrick runs into a boot... and now a clothesline. And I think Miz just said that’s it. He’s calling for the reality check. Coach: And if he hits this we’re going to have a new Cruiserweight Champion. Cole: Miz... kick to the midsection... reality... no! Counter from Kendrick... he runs Miz to the corner... sliced bread! Kendrick hits the sliced bread, hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! Brian Kendrick retains the Cruiserweight Championship! Coach: I thought Miz was about to put him away, but Kendrick with the counter and the sliced bread managed to put Miz away. Brian Kendrick beat The Miz to retain the Cruiserweight Championship (C) ------- *we cut backstage to Teddy Long* Teddy: Yes... yes sir Mr McMahon. I understand that but... are you sure now is the right time for something like that? Teddy: Uh... excuse me Mr McMahon, I’m going to have to call you back. MVP... what can I do for you playa? MVP: What can you do for me? How about you disappear from Smackdown? How about you stop being biased towards me? How about you don’t put me in a match with Kane tonight? Teddy: Well... I’m sorry but none of that’s going to happen playa. Anything else? MVP: Yeah... you can do me a favour. Teddy: And what would that be? MVP: You can make the match this Sunday no disqualification. Teddy: Hold on playa... you want your title defence to be no disqualification? MVP: You heard me. Teddy: Alright playa, you get your wish. The fatal four way at the Bash... it’ll be no DQ. Cole: What? No DQ? What does MVP have up his sleeve? There’s no way he would ask for that without him having something in mind. Coach: I don’t know. I mean... MVP obviously has something in plan, but I don’t know what it is yet. Cole: I thought you two were buddies? I thought you guys talked all the time? Coach: He doesn’t tell me everything though! I mean some things... Cole: Wait a second Coach, here comes CM Punk. The newcomer to Smackdown, who will take on JBL this Sunday at the Bash... Jamie Noble v CM Punk *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Noble with the right hand... Punk ducks... he’s got him up... GTS... no, Noble counters... kick from Punk... and a clothesline sends Noble down. CM Punk almost locked on the GTS, and that would’ve been it. Coach: Yeah but credit to Noble for managing to get out of it. Cole: Noble back up, but he runs into a back elbow from Punk. Punk sends Noble off the ropes... great powerslam from Punk! Here’s the cover, 1... 2... and Noble kicks out. Great move by Punk... Coach: Yeah but he’s not going to have it like this on Sunday. JBL is the longest serving champion in Smackdown history, it’s going to be a whole different ballgame. Cole: Punk continues the offense... sends Noble to the corner... Punk follows in with a knee... and there’s the bulldog out the corner. CM Punk has Noble on the ropes... and now he’s going to the top rope. Coach: Why is he taking a chance like this? He’s in control, this is a bad choice by Punk. Cole: Punk... off the top rope... flying clothesline... oh! Noble countered with a dropkick. Great counter from Jamie Noble. Coach: See? I told you that was a mistake. Cole: Both men very slow to get back on their feet after that... right hand from Noble... and another... oh! A kick to the head from Punk... and now one to the face. Noble trying to hid in the corner, but Punk following him in. Punk... lifts Noble onto the top rope... oh my. Punk... he’s going for a hurricanrana off the top rope! Coach: If he misses this he’ll wind up breaking his neck. Cole: Punk... he nailed it... but Noble rolls through... 1... 2... and Punk barely kicks out. Another great counter from Noble. Noble can’t believe it, he thought that was 3. Coach: So did I . That was a pretty slow count. Cole: Noble again on the offensive... Punk ducks the right hand... wait... he has him up... Coach: C’mon Noble! Cole: GTS! Punk hits the Go to Sleep! Here’s the cover, 1... 2... 3! CM Punk picks up another win here on Smackdown! Coach: Well... I hate to say it, but CM Punk has been... JBL: Hey! Hey! Punk! Cole: What the...? JBL: Up here Punk! Cole: JBL on the titan tron... JBL: Yeah that’s it Punk. I’m on the tron... and I got a little message for you boy. You see, I have built myself a million dollar fortune out of nothing. I have elevated my career to the point where I was the longest World Heavyweight Champion in Smackdown history. And I will become World Heavyweight Champion again Punk, you mark my words. And I will not have some wannabe, some newcomer... some ECW reject... come into my brand and think he can start calling the shots. I will beat you this Sunday Punk... and when I do... I will go on to greatness... while you will be forever recognised as a loser. This Sunday Punk... is when your Smackdown dreams come to an end. Cole: Well... JBL... he would talk a lot when he’s on the tron. I’d love to see him come out here and say that to Punk’s face. Coach: It doesn’t matter where he says it. The fact of the matter is he speaks the truth. CM Punk beat Jamie Noble (B-) -------- Cole: Welcome back to Smackdown folks. Up next, the Big Red Machine Kane takes on the World Heavyweight Champion MVP... Montel Vontavious Porter v Kane *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Shot to the ribs from the champion... and now a kick, and another... uh oh... Kane caught his foot, and he drives MVP to the mat. And now it’s Kane, raining down rights and lefts on MVP. Coach: Those are closed fists! Get in there referee! Cole: Kane going to work on the ribs of MVP now... and he drives the knee into the back. Kane giving MVP a little bit of his own medicine now. Coach: And you’re just loving aren’t you? You love to see our champion in pain. Cole: Well... another stiff kick to the midsection form Kane... and now he’s standing on MVP’s chest. Over 300lbs of pressure applied by the big red machine. Kane is just wearing down the World Heavyweight Champion. Coach: You are son biased Cole. It makes me sick. Cole: What? Anyway... Kane... scoops MVP up... backbreaker! The champion in trouble, Kane hooks the leg, 1... 2... and MVP gets the shoulder up. Coach: This is all Teddy Long’s doing. He’s trying to soften up MVP ahead of the Great American Bash. Cole: I’m not sure that’s the case... as Kane drives MVP into the corner. And now a shoulder to the gut... and now a boot to the face. MVP slumps to the mat, as Kane is dominating right now. Kane... sends MVP off the ropes... and Kane ducked and MVP kicked him in the chest, and now he drives the knee into the skull. Coach: Good. That’s more like it. Cole: Kane staggering around after that shot to the head... and MVP with the Irish whip, sends Kane to the corner. Here comes MVP... knee to the head again from the champion. And this time it’s Kane who slumps down to the mat. Coach: Yeah but MVP’s not finished yet. He’s lining him up again... Cole: Kane trying to get back on his feet... but here comes MVP... misses with the boot! MVP went for a kick but Kane dodged it, and now Kane is going to the top rope. Kane... flying clothesline! Kane... he just called for the chokeslam! Coach: No... no stay down MVP. Don’t get back up. Cole: Kane... patiently waiting for MVP to get back to his feet. Kane... he’s got MVP by the throat... Coach: No! Cole: Choke... no MVP counters... playmaker! MVP hits the playmaker! Coach: Yes! Great move! Cole: MVP goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3! MVP picks up the victory. Coach: never count out MVP. Never count out your World Heavyweight Champion. MVP can beat you in the blink of an eye. Cole: MVP has beaten Kane, but will he be victorious this Sunday? Montel Vontavious Porter beat Kane (B) -------- *we cut backstage to Eve Torres* Eve: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, he is one of the challengers in the fatal four way this Sunday at the Great American Bash... Matt Hardy! And Matt, last week you and The Undertaker lost to Edge and MVP in a tag team match. How has that affected you ahead of this Sunday? Matt: It hasn’t affected me on bit. I’m focusing on tonight’s match with Undertaker and Edge... and then I’m focusing on the Great American Bash. This is the biggest chance I’ve ever had in the WWE. This is the title shot I’ve been waiting 10 years for. And if you think I’m going to let last week affect me... then you’re wrong. I will become the World Heavyweight Champion... and everything I’ve worked for, everything I’ve strived for... it’ll all be worth it. Cole: A very confident, a very determined Matt Hardy ahead what is going to be the biggest night of his career. Coach: Yeah well I’ve been saying it all along, but I’ll say it again... there is no chance in hell that Matt Hardy is going to win this Sunday. No chance! Cole: Well here comes Curt Hawkins. I believe you think that both he and Zack Ryder have a pretty good shot this Sunday when they take on Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero? Coach: You’re damn right I do... Rey Mysterio v Curt Hawkins *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Hawkins scores the right hand... and another one. Hawkins with the Irish whip... Mysterio... springboard crossbody! Rey came flying off the second rope, and now he’s rolls up Hawkins, 1... 2... and Hawkins kicks out. Coach: After Zack Ryder lost to Chavo last week, Hawkins really needs to win tonight. Cole: There have been doubts in recent weeks from Hawkins and Ryder that maybe they can’t beat Rey and Chavo. Maybe it’s too much for them to overcome. Coach: Yeah but I’m sure Edge will have them believing again come Sunday night. Cole: Mysterio with right hands in the corner... sends Hawkins across... Hawkins reverses... but he runs into a boot. Here comes Hawkins again... drop toe hold! He’s in position... Coach: No get out of there! Cole: Rey’s dialling him up... 619! Mysterio connects! Rey on the top rope... droppin’ da... oh! From behind, Ryder shakes the ropes, causing Rey to fall to the mat. Coach: Smart move from Ryder. Rey was looking like... Cole: Here comes Chavo! Chavo and Ryder going at it on the floor! Coach: What is this? We’ve got a match going on, and now Chavo is picking fights on the floor. Cole: Hawkins from behind... neckbreaker from Hawkins. Rey was distracted and Hawkins took advantage. And now Curt Hawkins going to the top rope... Hawkins... he’s got Rey lined up... nobody home! Hawkins went for a legdrop off the top but Rey managed to move. Coach: Are Chavo and Ryder still going at it? Cole: I think Ryder is out. Mysterio... hurricanrana! Wait... Hawkins it set up again... 619! A second 619 from Rey! Coach: No, no... Ryder! Somebody... Cole: Mysterio... droppin’ da dime! Rey hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Mysterio wins! Mysterio wins! Another win for Rey and Chavo over Hawkins and Ryder! Coach: God I... Edge, you better have something else in mind, cause right now it ain’t looking good for Hawkins and Ryder. Cole: What’s going to happen this Sunday? Will we see new tag team champions, or will Rey and Chavo retain the gold? Rey Mysterio beat Curt Hawkins (B) ------- Cole: Welcome back to Smackdown folks. Our main event is about to... Coach: Whoa wait a second Cole... our World Heavyweight Champion is coming out here. Cole: Well... MVP is making his way down the ramp. This is scheduled to be The Undertaker, Edge and Matt Hardy in a triple threat match but... I don’t understand this. Coach: He’s obviously about to join us for commentary... MVP: What’s the happy haps Coach? Coach: MVP... it’s an honour to have you join us at ringside again. MVP: Of course it’s an honour! Cole: You two aren’t going to be slapping each other on the back all night are you? MVP: You better watch your mouth or I’ll slap you in the face! Edge v Matt Hardy v The Undertaker *we join the match near its conclusion* Cole: Edge stomping away at Matt Hardy. Edge now going for The Undertaker... but Taker sends him flying over the top rope. Undertaker turns around... Hardy going for the side effect... Taker blocks it... oh my! He’s got Matt by the throat... chokeslam! Undertaker with a chokeslam to Hardy! Here’s the cover, 1... 2... and Edge makes the save! Coach: MVP... I know you’ve here doing a little scouting, you’ve got a way to combat the chokeslam don’t you? I know you must have something. MVP: Of course I do. I’m gonna beat The Undertaker so bad he can’t hit me with it. Then I’m going to take out Edge and Matt Hardy, then I’ll retain my title. Cole: You make it sound easy champ... as Edge is clotheslined over the top rope and again Edge is on the outside. MVP: It’s easy for me because I’m half man, half amazing. Coach: Exactly Cole. Cole: Well alright. Undertaker and Hardy alone in the ring once again. Undertaker... lining Matt up... he’s got him by the throat! Choke... no, counter from Hardy... Matt... twist of fate! Matt Hardy hit the twist of fate! Here’s the cover, 1... 2... and again Edge makes the save! MVP: I gotta say, I’m impressed with Edge. He’s showing a lot of fight out there. Coach: Yeah but he’s not a match for you champ. Cole: Edge... lining up Matt Hardy. Here comes Edge... spear... no, Hardy makes him miss, and Edge runs into a boot from The Undertaker. Edge’s head bounced off the mat...and here comes Hardy... right hands to The Undertaker. Matt sends Taker off the ropes... hey, Edge catches Taker with a roll up... 1... 2... and Taker kicks out. Coach: MVP, I want to ask you... we know you can beat Matt Hardy, we know you can beat The Undertaker, is Edge the biggest threat to you in this match? MVP: He is, but even then, I don’t see any of these guys as a threat. I’m better than all three of these guys. Cole: Edge off the ropes... ducks a big boot... spear! Spear! Edge hits Hardy with the spear! Edge goes for the cover... no wait... Undertaker has him... and again Edge goes flying over the top rope. Coach: I think the fact that Hardy and Taker keep trying to get rid of Edge shows that they’re both scared of Edge. MVP: None of that matters Coach. All that matters is that I’m not afraid of any of these guys. And if they think they can keep throwing me over the top rope, they gonna be sorry. Cole: Undertaker and Hardy alone again, both men feeling the effects of this match. Undertaker... stalking Hardy. Hardy... slowly getting back to his feet... kick to the midsection... MVP: Goodnight Matt... Cole: Undertaker has him high in the air... last ride! Undertaker hits the last ride! Here’s the cover, 1... 2... Coach: Get in there Edge! Cole: 3! Undertaker has done it! He’s won the triple threat! What do you make of that champ? MVP: What do I make of that? I’ll show you right now! Cole: Hey! What the... MVP into the ring... oh! MVP just nailed Undertaker with the title. A sickening thud off the skull of the Deadman! Coach: Yeah but Cole... look at this picture. You’ve got Edge, Matt Hardy and The Undertaker down and out... and you’ve got MVP standing tall wit the World Heavyweight Championship! Cole: Is that what we’re going to see this Sunday?
