We are coming to you from Moline, IL, but we are in total disarray right now. Last Monday night on Raw, our general manager Teddy Long was drafted away from Smackdown. Coach... we don’t have a boss anymore. No-one knows who’s in charge right now. Coach: Well getting rid of Teddy Long is the best thing to happen to Smackdown in a long time. We may not know who’s in charge right now, but I think it’s going to turn out good in the long run. Cole: Well coming up tonight, Brian Kendrick, who is now a member of the ECW roster, will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against Gregory Helms in a match signed before Teddy Long left. Coach: And I fully expect Gregory Helms to bring the Cruiserweight Title back to Smackdown. Cole: Also in tag team action, Rey Mysterio and CM Punk team up to take on Edge and MVP... NO CHANCE Cole: Well it seems like we’re being joined by the chairman of the board, Mr McMahon. Maybe we’ll get some answers as to just who is our new boss. Coach: You think it’ll be me? I used to be Mr McMahon’s executive assistant you know. Cole: If you become the general manager I quit. Coach: Can I have that in writing? Vince: Ladies and gentlemen... I realise you’re all wondering just who is going to be named the new general manager of Smackdown. Uh... I have to tell you... at this point in time, I don’t know. The draft kind of took me by surprise... we don’t have any suitable candidates available right now. Therefore... I have decided to name myself as temporary general manager of Smackdown. All matches signed for tonight and Summerslam will stand... and I hope to get to meet with as many members of the Smackdown roster as I can during the course of the evening. I thank you for your patience at this time... rest assured, in the upcoming weeks, I will appoint someone to be the new general manager of Smackdown. Thank you very much, and enjoy the show. Cole: Well... it looks like Mr McMahon considers himself the best man for the job right now. Coach: And I would like to state for the record that I 100% agree with Mr McMahon, and I support him fully as the new general manager. Cole: You’re not going to spend the next few weeks kissing ass and campaigning for the job are you? Coach: That’s exactly what I’m going to do! -------------------- Cruiserweight Championship Match Brian Kendrick (C) v Gregory Helms Smackdown and ECW collide as the recently drafted Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick returns to Smackdown to defend the gold against Gregory Helms. Helms has been chasing the title ever since he returned at Night of Champions, and he finally gets his chance at the title. Helms jumps Kendrick at the bell, as he attacks the champion as soon as he made it into the ring. Helms strikes with quick right hands in the corner, but Kendrick jumps quickly to the top rope after an Irish whip, and he catches Helms with a dropkick off the top. Kendrick goes on the attack, getting a 2 count after a tornado DDT and then flooring Helms again with a headscissor takedown. Kendrick sends Helms off the ropes and goes for a crossbody, but Helms ducks and Kendrick crashes off the mat. Helms takes control again, hitting several neckbreakers and getting a long 2 count. Helms looks like he has the title won as he goes for the nightmare on Helms street, but Kendrick counters into a roll up, 1... 2... Helms kicks out. Kendrick is control now, and he catches Helms and runs him to the corner... sliced bread! Kendrick connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Brian Kendrick retains and the Cruiserweight Championship stays on ECW for the time being. Brian Kendrick beat Gregory Helms to retain the Cruiserweight Championship (C+) -------------------- Backstage, the Smackdown and Raw general managers are in conversation... Shane: You? You’re the new general manager? Vince: Well yeah. Why not? I used to be the general manager here on Smackdown you know. Shane: Yeah but Dad... that was a long time ago. I mean, you sure your ready for the guys bursting down your door, demanding matches and stuff? Vince: I’m sure I can handle it... Vince: MVP? What can I do for you? MVP: Well first of Mr McMahon... as World Heavyweight Champion, and leader of the Smackdown brand, allow me to be the first to welcome you to Smackdown. Vince: Well thank you very much. MVP: And Mr McMahon... I was wondering if you could do me a favour? Vince: What’s that? MVP: Well... I got to defend my title this Sunday against CM Punk at Summerslam, and I was thinking... I don’t really need to be in this tag team match tonight, do I? Vince: Well MVP... I’m sorry but yeah you do. Shane: And you better win tonight, and this Sunday. I don’t want CM Punk to ever win another championship in this company. Vince: I suggest you go get ready champ... -------------------- Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore v Jamie Noble and Billy Kidman Jimmy and Shannon returned to tag team action last week with a win over Deuce and Domino. Tonight they take on fellow crusierweights Jamie Noble and Billy Kidman. Moore and Noble kick things off, and the different styles between the two is evident, with Noble being more physical and Moore looking to quicken the pace when he can. Shoulder blocks, hip tosses and dropkicks are on show early, until Noble knees Moore in the midsection and tags in Kidman. Kidman comes in to the ring and works on Moore’s right knee, trying to take away some of that quickness. Several quick tags between Noble and Kidman follow, with Noble coming in and dropping a legdrop across the knee and Kidman aiming a dropkick at it. Just as it seems Kidman and Noble will go on to do more damage, Moore counters a suplex from Noble with an enzuigiri. Both men go down, but Moore starts to crawl towards his corner. Noble manages to grab Moore by the leg, but he stretches out and tags in Jimmy. Yang comes into the ring with a right hand to Noble and spinning heel kick to Kidman. Wang Yang goes to the top rope and catches Noble with a crossbody, 1... 2... Kidman makes the save. Shannon is back up now and he throws Noble through the ropes to the floor. Kidman is back up, but Moore nails him with a hurricanrana. Kidman is dazed, and as he staggers back to his feet, Jimmy goes to the top rope again... moonsault connects! 1... 2... 3! Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore pick up another win! Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore beat Jamie Noble and Billy Kidman (C-) ------------------- Backstage, Eve Torres is standing by with the number one contender... Eve: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, he is the man who will face MVP this Sunday at Summerslam... CM Punk! And Punk, this Sunday, you get your shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Do you think you’re going to win the top title on Smackdown after only being here for a little over a month? Punk: I may not have been here all that long, but I’ve already made my mark here on Smackdown. I beat JBL, the longest reigning champion in Smackdown history. Now, I’ve challenged MVP to put the title on the line at Summerslam. Well MVP, any ideas you ever had about overtaking JBL as the longest reigning champ are going to come to an end this Sunday. I will become the new World Heavyweight Champion... and when I do... I’ll be sure to do it better than you! -------------------- Super Crazy v Santino Marella Both these men came over to Smackdown during the draft. With both men looking to start their Smackdown careers with a win, this turns out to be a hotly contested match. Cole and Coach still can’t believe Santino is on Smackdown, and the Italian’s antics during the match make Coach proclaim “when I become Smackdown GM, he’s the first one out the door!” Super Crazy takes the fight to Santino early, with a great tilt a whirl backbreaker and then taking Santino into the corner and delivering 10 punches from up top, with Cole and the audience counting along in Spanish. Sadly thought, the offense from Crazy didn’t last long, as Santino soon took control after Crazy missed a springboard moonsault. Santino delivers several elbow drops, as well a hard jawbreaker. Santino eventually finishes things with a swinging neckbreaker, 1... 2... 3. Santino makes a winning start to life on Smackdown, but he wasn’t finished there... Santino Marella beat Super Crazy (C+) Cole: Well... an impressive debut here on Smackdown for Santino Marella. Coach: Well I hate to say it, but Santino looked good tonight. Cole: And now... is he grabbing a mic? Coach: Whoa... who said this guy was allowed to talk? Santino: I... Santino Marella... have come to Smack-y-down! When Santino was drafted here, he knew everybody on Raw would be sad to see Santino go. But now... I am going to prove I can be a great champion! When I look around the Smack-y-down locker room, I do not see very much to worry me. The champion, MTC... uh... LED... DVD? The guy who looks like the blue power ranger! PM Chunk... a man who is so boring, he makes the Chicago Bears offense look exciting. Roy Mastereo... a man who hides behind a mask because he is so ugly. This is what Smack-y-down has to offer? Santino thinks it will not take very long for him to become “Il Campione”! FYI, that’s Italiano for “The Champion”! For there is one thing that everyone here will soon find out... Santino Marella = ratings! And ratings = money! Smack-y-down deserves ratings, Smack-y-down deserves money... Smack-y-down deserves... Santino Marella! Cole: I don’t think I’ve ever seen somebody make an entrance quite like that here on Smackdown. Coach: I take back everything I said. Santino is right, Santino = ratings! -------------------- Cole: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time we’d like to give you an update on the condition of John Bradshaw Layfield. Last Tuesday night on ECW, JBL was involved in an extreme rules match with Tommy Dreamer. At the end of the match, JBL was DDT’d off the entrance ramp onto the roof of his limo. We saw JBL being carried out of the arena on a stretcher, and we understand JBL has suffered a serious neck injury as a result of that match. Coach: Well I tried to speak to JBL on the phone about the injury, but he wasn’t willing to talk to anybody. The hospital said he would be there for at least another week, so who knows when JBL will be back. Cole: Obviously we remind you don’t try this at home folks. Hopefully JBL, my former colleague here at the announce desk will be back in action soon. -------------------- Money in the Bank Challenge Preview Match Matt Hardy v Mr Kennedy Raw and Smackdown collide here as Mr Kennedy returns to Smackdown to take on Matt Hardy. Both these men met in tag team action on ECW last Tuesday, where Kennedy and Elijah Burke beat Matt and Jeff, so Matt will be out for revenge tonight. The match starts with Matt locking in a headlock, and despite repeated efforts to break free, Hardy won’t let go. Kennedy eventually breaks the hold by driving Hardy into the corner, and as Hardy slumps to the mat, Kennedy chokes Hardy with his boot, which draws a 5 count from the ref that Kennedy takes to the limit. Kennedy continues to go to work on the neck area, using a modified cobra clutch to apply pressure. Hardy fights back to his feet, scoring right hands to the gut and driving Kennedy to the mat with a side Russian leg sweep. Hardy goes on the attack, knocking Kennedy down with forearms and clotheslines. Hardy sends Kennedy to the corner, and when he goes for a bulldog Kennedy blocks it. Hardy ducks a right hand, side effect! Matt goes for the cover, 1... 2... Kennedy kicks out! The action goes back and forth until Kennedy sends Hardy to the corner. Kennedy charges in but Hardy gets the elbow up. Hardy quickly goes to the top rope, but Kennedy catches him. Now Kennedy climbs the ropes, and he tries to set Hardy up for the Green Bay plunge. Hardy counters, and he nails a bulldog off the top! Hardy hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Matt Hardy wins and gives himself a lot of momentum going into the Money in the Bank challenge this Sunday at Summerslam. Matt Hardy beat Mr Kennedy (B+) -------------------- Backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by... Josh: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the man who will face Rey Mysterio this Sunday in a no holds barred match... the Rated R Superstar, Edge! Edge, this Sunday, you have vowed to end this rivalry between you and Rey Mysterio once and for all. Last week we saw you decimate Rey and Chavo in the centre of the ring... many people question if Rey Mysterio is here tonight, if he’ll even make it to Summerslam. Edge: Oh Rey’ll be there alright. He’s Rey Mysterio! He always rises up, overcomes the odds. Rey Mysterio, the biggest little man. Well... not this time Rey. This time, the fairytale isn’t going to happen. You see... I hate you so much Rey. I hate you... I hate Chavo... and I especially hate Vickie Guerrero. I am going to destroy you Rey. I am going to ruin your career, and your life. And after this Sunday... you’ll be lucky to be able to even walk out of Summerslam. -------------------- Paul Burchill v Bobby Lashley Another match featuring two men brought to Smackdown via the draft. Burchill tries to match Lashley for power in the early going, trying to take Lashley down with shoulder blocks and clotheslines. Lashley however shakes them off, and when Burchill again comes off the ropes Lashley is waiting for him with a powerslam! Lashley goes for the cover, 1... 2... Burchill gets the shoulder up, but this match may not last much longer. On commentary, Cole makes reference to Lashley and MVP getting in each other’s faces on Monday night during Raw, to which Coach says Lashley has to prove himself on Smackdown all over again if he wants to get involved with the champion. Lashley goes a long way to doing so with his display tonight, and after he blocks Burchill’s jumping neckbreaker attempt, Lashley nails Burchill with a spear! Lashley then scoops Burchill up... dominator! Lashley hits the dominator, goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3! An impressive victory for Bobby Lashley on his return to Smackdown, and even Coach has to admit to that. Bobby Lashley beat Paul Burchill (B-) ------------------- Backstage, CM Punk is on his way to the ring when he runs into... Punk: Shane... you want something? Shane: I just thought I’d find out how things are going man. I mean, you’ve got a big title match this Sunday. Punk: Yeah, so? Shane: Well... I don’t think you’re ready for this. If you had signed for Raw, you’d be nowhere near a title shot right now. Punk: Well then I’m glad I joined Smackdown. I don’t have to deal with you and Triple H holding me down. Shane: Well... since my Dad is in charge around here now... maybe you won’t have as much success as you hope for. Punk: Well when I’m champion... it won’t matter what you, or your Dad think. -------------------- Montel Vontavious Porter and Edge v CM Punk and Rey Mysterio Rey Mysterio does make it tonight, but it is apparent early on that he is still suffering from the attack of Edge, Hawkins and Ryder from last week. CM Punk takes most of the match for his team, and while he battles bravely in the early going, eventually he is out gunned by Edge and MVP. Edge takes control by taking Punk down with a body scissors, and he squeezes the life out of Punk. The crowd tries to get behind him, and eventually Punk makes it back to his feet. A series of elbows finally gets Edge to release the hold, and an enzuigiri takes Edge down. Punk crawls to his corner and tags in Mysterio, just as Edge tags in the champion. Rey comes flying into the ring with a springboard clothesline, as he tries to quicken the pace despite his weakened condition. A kick to the chest stuns MVP, and Rey takes advantage with a springboard moonsault for a 2 count. MVP reverses an Irish whip, but after Rey ducks a clothesline, his dropkick hangs MVP up on the second rope. Rey comes off the ropes looking for the 619... but he runs into a spear! Edge connects, goes for the cover, 1... 2... Punk makes the save! All four men are in the ring brawling with each other, until a clothesline takes Punk and MVP over the top rope to the floor. Back in the ring, Edge is left along with Rey, and while Mysterio is trying to recover, Edge lines him up for another spear. Edge, crouches in the corner... here he comes... no! Mysterio with the leap frog, Edge is hung up on the second rope... 619! Rey connects, and Edge walks right into... the GTS! Punk hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Rey and Punk win! Edge has been pinned, while the champion is already making his way back up the ramp, wanting no part of Rey or Punk. CM Punk and Rey Mysterio beat Montel Vontavious Porter and Edge (B) Cole: Mysterio and Punk have sent a message to their respective opponents for this Sunday! Coach: Well, they may be smiling now, but it’s going to be different at Summerslam. Edge and MVP will recover, and they will both walk out of Summerslam victorious. Cole: Join us this Sunday live on pay per view for the biggest blockbuster of the summer! Join us for Summerslam! I’m good ol’ JR, Jim Ross, alongside my hall of fame colleague Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, and King, what a night this is going to be! King: This is going to be a huge night! Chris Jericho defends the WWE Title against The Game Triple H, and John Cena and Randy Orton go one on one. 10 months in the making! JR: Also tonight, Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle. 3 years later, these two meet to settle the score. Let’s hand it over to our ECW colleagues, Joey Styles and Tazz. I also can’t wait to see Edge finally finish off Rey Mysterio. Rey has stuck his nose in Edge’s business for the last time. Cole: Both of those matches are going to huge... but right now, we kick things off with the Money in the Bank Challenge match. Money in the Bank Challenge Match Jeff Hardy v Mr Kennedy v Elijah Burke v Matt Hardy The Money in the Bank briefcase can offer a whole world of opportunities to someone. It can take a guy on the brink of stardom and propel him to the top of the business. Jeff Hardy has so far been cautious in his use of the briefcase, biding his time and being patient before finding the right moment to strike. His brother Matt, Elijah Burke and Mr Kennedy all want that briefcase too, for various reasons. The match starts with the commentators once again going over the rules of this unique match. Two men must first be eliminated by pinfall or submission before the last two men are eligible to climb the ladder. The match starts slowly, with all four men trying to see where allegiances may lie. Eventually Kennedy goes after long time foe Jeff, while Burke and Matt start swinging for each other. Burke is elevated over the top rope to the floor, allowing the Hardys to combine on Kennedy. While outside, Burke makes the first move towards a ladder, and while he can’t climb it and go for the briefcase yet, he can certainly use it as a weapon. Jeff and Matt are teeing off on Kennedy, but Jeff turns round and gets the ladder thrown right in his face. Matt and Burke now go at each other, with the ECW man gaining the upper hand and slamming Matt off the ladder. Kennedy is back on his feet and he manages to convince Burke that they need to work together to eliminate the Hardys. Jeff is hung up in the turnbuckle in a tree of woe position, and Burke dropkicks the ladder back in his face. Jeff crumples to the mat, and Burke and Kennedy look pleased with their work... until Matt hits a legdrop that springboards the ladder into their faces! Kennedy is sent through the ropes, and while Burke is staggering around, Matt hits the twist of fate! Jeff quickly gets back to his feet and goes to the top rope... swanton bomb! Jeff hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Elijah Burke becomes the first man eliminated! The battle rages on, as Kennedy comes back into the ring and catches Jeff from behind. Kennedy, now feeling outnumbered, tries to even the score with a series of quick covers to try and eliminate Jeff. Jeff continues to kick out, and eventually Matt drops a legdrop on Jeff. The Hardys now go to work on Kennedy, propping him up in the corner and positioning the ladder infront of him. Matt ducks down, Jeff charges in... poetry in motion onto a ladder! Kennedy is down and out, but the Hardys aren’t done yet. Matt positions the ladder on top of Kennedy, and Jeff goes to the top rope... swanton onto the ladder! Matt goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3! Kennedy is the second man eliminated, and now it’s down to Matt and Jeff. One of them will climb the ladder and grab the briefcase! Neither man seems all that keen to attack the other, but after a shake of hands the fists soon start flying. Again the ladder comes into play, as Jeff is Irish whipped into it in the corner and Matt is later back body dropped onto it. Both brothers go all out, with both realising how important the briefcase is. Eventually a whisper in the wind gives Jeff the upper hand, and he becomes the first to position the ladder under the briefcase and he starts to climb. Jeff slowly makes his way up the rungs, feeling the effects of the battle he’s been through. Jeff makes it to the top and gets his hands on the briefcase... but Matt dropkicks the ladder! Jeff has hold of the briefcase, but he is hanging from it in mid air! The briefcase refuses to budge, but so does Jeff. He clings for dear life, while Matt climbs to the top rope. Matt flies through the air... mid air side effect! Both men go down again, as the crowd starts to build. The ladder is soon set up again, this time with both men climbing it. The both make it to the top, and the brothers start trading right hands with each other. Matt hits a hard shot, and Jeff starts to lose his balance... but he hits back with a twist of fate off the ladder! Both men go down again, but this time Jeff starts to climb alone. He makes it to the top, looks down on his brother... and reaches up and grabs the briefcase! Jeff remains Mr Money in the Bank, but the Hardy Boyz have once again endured a war. Jeff drops down the ladder to check on his brother, and the two hug as the crowd respond to the great effort put in from both men. Shane: Hey... relax. He’s got this. If I were you, I’d be worried about my own brand. Vince: What do you mean? Shane: Well... at the end of the night, you could have some punk running around as Smackdown champion. Vince: Some Punk? Shane: Yeah. I mean, right now, you’ve got a world class athlete as your champion. MVP is the highest priced free agent in WWE history... you can’t have him losing to some reject like CM Punk. Vince: Well Shane... if MVP is as good an athlete as he says he is... we won’t have anything to worry about. Shane: Alright. I’m just saying, it wouldn’t happen on my brand. Hard right hand knocks Shelton out of the ring just seconds into the match, but Umaga delivers a hard headbutt to the back of Morrison’s neck. Umaga and Morrison go trade right hands, but another headbutt puts Umaga in control. Benjamin looks like he’s more than happy to let Umaga pummel Morrison before the champion makes his move. A hard Irish whip sends Morrison crashing off the turnbuckle, and Umaga is giving Morrison a real beating in the early moments. Morrison tries to battle back, but a hard clothesline sends him down again. Morrison is down, and Umaga motions towards Benjamin to step back into the ring, but Estrada at ringside encourages the Samoan to keep the pressure on Morrison. Another headbutt floors Morrison, and now Benjamin decides to strike. He catches Umaga from behind with a roundhouse kick. Benjamin now focuses on Morrison, and he hits a great belly to belly overhead suplex for a 2 count. Morrison and Benjamin continue to brawl, but Umaga is now back in the ring, and he takes out Morrison with a hard shoulder block. Benjamin swings with right hands, but he can only stagger the big man. Benjamin comes off the ropes... paydirt! Benjamin drives Umaga face first to the mat, 1... 2... Morrison makes the save! Benjamin almost retained his title, and now he works on removing Morrison from the match. Benjamin and Morrison trade right hands, until Benjamin Irish whips Morrison off the ropes. Morrison ducks a right hand, kick to the midsection... moonlight drive! No! Benjamin counters, he has Morrison set up for a t-bone suplex... but here comes Umaga! He gets both Morrison and Benjamin up on his shoulders... double Samoan drop! Umaga takes both men to the mat, hooks Morrison’s leg, 1... 2... 3! Umaga wins! We’ve got a new ECW Champion! Umaga beat Shelton Benjamin and John Morrison to become the new ECW Champion (A) Tazz: God I... I can’t believe it! Styles: Mick Foley’s worse vision has come true. Umaga is the new ECW Champion, and Armando Estrada is pretty much back in control. He’s the manager of the champion! Tazz: What the hell we gonna do? Umaga just destroyed the champion and the challenger! -------------------- Backstage, Todd Grisham is standing by... Todd: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, he is the man who will go one on one with The Undertaker... the Animal... Batista! And Batista, tonight you find yourself in a situation that neither you or your opponent The Undertaker wanted to be in. Neither of you wanted this match, this was signed at the last minute by Shane McMahon. Batista, how do you approach this match tonight? Batista: I approach it the way I approach any match... I go out there to kick ass and to win! Now I didn’t ask for this match, I got a lot of respect for The Undertaker, I had some huge battles with him in the past... but this all Shane McMahon’s doing. Shane... you might think that this match is going to make me fall in line or something... but let me tell you something. I will run through whoever you put infront of me... until I get my hands on you! -------------------- Shawn Michaels v Kurt Angle Two men trying to see if they can emulate past glories. Two men trying to see if they still have what it takes. A series tied at 1, and a winner must be found tonight. The match starts with Angle showing off his technical advantage, taking Michaels down with a series of headlocks and armbars. Michaels tries to counter with a back body drop, but Angle keeps hold of the headlock all the way down to the mat. Angle turns his headlock into a waistlock, which Michaels eventually counters into an armbar of his own. Both men throw out a series of reversals and counters, as they try to one up each other. The fight eventually spills to the floor, as a Michaels clothesline takes both men over the top rope. As the referee starts to count, Michaels hits several right hands, making Angle try and regroup neck to the turnbuckle. Michaels goes on the attack, but Angle counters, sending Shawn into the turnbuckle. The first clear opportunity of the match is presented to Angle, and he rolls Michaels back into the ring and gets a 2 count. Angle again applies pressure on the arm, but when Michaels fights back to his feet, he foes for the sweet chin music! Angle ducks, and catches Michaels with the Angle slam! Kurt may have it... 1... 2... Michaels kicks out! Shawn somehow holds on, but Angle is now lining him up for the ankle lock. Kurt stalks Michaels, waiting for him to get back to his feet. Michaels is up... and Angle ahs the ankle lock... no! Michaels counters and sends Kurt through the ropes to the floor. JR and King point out just how close Michaels was to being trapped in the ankle lock, but now Michaels is going on the attack. Michaels to the top rope... moonsault off the top to the floor! Vintage Shawn Michaels! Both men are down, but Shawn is in control. He rolls Angle back into the ring, and Shawn heads for the corner and starts to tune up the band... King: Here it comes JR! JR: Michaels... he’s got Angle in his sights... King: Look out Kurt! JR: Sweet chin... ankle lock! Ankle lock! Kurt Angle has the ankle lock! Angle catches Shawn by the foot and locks in the ankle lock. Michaels is screaming in agony, desperately trying to reach the ropes. Angle has it locked in tight, but Michaels is still straining and clawing his way towards the ropes. Michaels reaches out... and he gets there! Michaels makes it to the ropes, but after an Angle slam and now an ankle lock, Michaels is in a bad way. Angle starts to wonder what it’s going to take to put Shawn away, and he again lines Michaels up... Angle slam... no! Michaels counters... JR: Sweet chin music! Sweet chin music! My God! Michaels got all of it! King: Yeah but... Shawn’s so hurt from earlier he can’t make the cover. JR: Michaels... crawling over... King: Here it comes... JR: 1... 2... no! Angle barely gets the shoulder up, and he is still down on the mat looking dazed and confused. Now it’s Michaels turn to wonder what it will take to put Angle away. Michaels, still suffering from the earlier ankle lock, drags himself to his feet in the corner. One more time he tunes up the band, looking to deliver a killer sweet chin music. Here he comes... JR: Sweet chin... no! Angle with another counter... King: Ankle lock! JR: No wait, Michaels with the roll-up... 1... 2... 3! He did it! He did it! It’s over! Shawn Michaels has won! King: Unbelievable! JR: Shawn Michaels had risen to the challenge once again! King: And JR... you think Kurt will finally let this go? JR: God I hope so. He wanted one more match with Shawn Michaels, and he got a hell of a match. King: Well JR... both guys are back on their feet and... JR: Well that’s a great sight to see. A handshake between two warriors. Two veterans who questioned whether they could still deliver on the biggest stage. My God has that question been answered tonight. I went to Vince McMahon and asked him if he could overturn what Teddy said about firing me if I got involved. But he said it still stood. Mysterio: Don’t worry about that right now. Just worry about getting better. Chavo: Alright. Good luck man... I’ll be watching. Mysterio: Thanks. Hey... just before you leave, how’s Vickie? Chavo: She’s feeling a lot better. She said she’d was gonna try and make here tonight, but she didn’t feel up to it. Mysterio: That’s too bad. Tell her I hope she’s OK. A match Shane McMahon derived simply for his own pleasure. These two have many battles in the past, and their professional pride won’t let either man let up in his pursuit of victory tonight. A cagey start from both men means the match starts slowly, with neither man gaining the upper hand. Both men trade right hands until Batista catches the Deadman with a spear. The match suddenly descends into a brawl, with both men pounding each other in the corner. The Animal gains the upper hand by driving his shoulder into the midsection, and when he whips Taker to the other corner he follows it up with a hard clothesline. Again though The Undertaker fires back with right hands, as neither man can gain an advantage so far. Taker then drags Batista to the corner, and he walks the top rope and delivers old school. Batista staggers back to his feet and Taker has him by the throat... chokeslam... no! Batista fights out of it with a flurry of elbows to the head. Batista breaks the hold, but when he charges Taker he misses and goes flying through the ropes. Undertaker takes charge now, driving Batista to the barricade and nailing the legdrop across the apron. Batista tries to regroup in the corner, but the Deadman gives him little time to relax, driving the elbow into the head. Batista reverses and Irish whip into a bell to belly for a 2 count, showing he’s not done yet. Batista now goes on the attack with right hands and boots. He sends Taker off the ropes... spinebuster! The Animal now in charge, and he calls for the Batista-bomb! Batista has Taker in his grasp... Batista-bomb! Batista with the Batista bomb, hooks the leg, 1... 2... no! Undertaker kicks out! Batista can’t believe it... but he’s not done yet. Batista hoists Undertaker to his feet... another Batista-bomb... no! Undertaker counters... tombstone! Tombstone! Taker hooks the leg... 1... 2... no! This time it’s Batista who kicks out. The battle rages on, and Undertaker tries to end it with the last ride. He gets Batista in position... back body drop. Batista counters the last ride, and again he goes for... the Batista-bomb! A second Batista-bomb! Surely that’ll do it? 1... 2... 3! Yes! Batista has done it! Batista has beaten The Undertaker! Both men are exhausted, but as Taker finally rises up, Batista offers his hand as a sign of respect. Both men shake hands, almost instinctively realising that they would be better served working together on Raw if they are survive the actions of Shane McMahon. John Cena! John, tonight you take on Randy Orton, a match you say you’ve been waiting 10 months for. Now last Monday night on Raw, Randy Orton gave an interview where he questioned whether or not you are physically 100% going into this match. I have to ask you... are you ready for the legend killer? Cena: Am I ready? Am I ready?! I was born ready! I’ve been ready for this night for 10 months! 10 months on the shelf, 10 months working to get back, 10 months sacrifice for this moment, for this night! Orton... you want to question whether or not I’m ready? That’s fine. Hell, if it was you coming back from injury, I’d ask the exact same question. I got an answer for you Randy... but I can only think of one way to give it you. That’s going out into that ring, and kicking your ass all over Indianapolis! Orton... you hurt me once... I’m not going to let it happen again. Tonight I get my revenge... and you’re going to feel my pain! -------------------- No Holds Barred Match Edge v Rey Mysterio A feud that started way back at the Royal Rumble finally comes to an end tonight. Edge won at the Rumble, and again at One Night Stand. This time the odds are more balanced however. Hawkins and Ryder are banned from ringside, as is Chavo Guerrero. Rey however is still visibly suffering from the con-chair-to he took two weeks ago on Smackdown. Edge enters the ring first, and as Rey’s music hits, Edge runs down the ramp to start the match early. Edge charges at Rey, but Mysterio uses his quickness to avoid contact and send Edge crashing to the floor. The battle starts far away from the ring, with Rey dropkicking Edge into the elaborate entrance way. The fight then goes into the crowd, with Rey droppin’ da dime off the barricade into the fans! Edge crawls way, but Rey follows. Edge finally comes back over the barricade towards ringside, and as Rey follows him over, Edge grabs a chair from under the ring... and nails Rey with a hard shot! The match finally makes it into the ring, where Edge attacks with hard boots to the head. Edge heads outside to bring in more chairs into the ring. He then sets two of them up in the middle of the ring... and suplexes Rey through the chairs! Rey cries out in agony, as Edge goes for the cover... 1... 2... Rey kicks out! Edge tosses Rey through the ropes, again taking the fight to the floor. Rey is down and hurt, and Edge grabs yet another chair... oh! Another shot to the head. Rey crumples to the floor, but Edge isn’t finished yet. He hits Rey with several shots to the back, Rey’s cries of pain getting louder with every shot. Edge now looks to end the match, putting Rey’s head on top of the ECW announce desk with a chair underneath, and another chair in hand. Edge is going for a con-chair-to on the announce desk... Cole: No! Not this... Coach: Do it Edge! You’ve put up with this crap for months. End it now! Cole: No! No! Oh! Mysterio hit Edge with the chair! He caught him right in the face! Coach: How the hell is he doing this?! Rey manages to lift the chair under his head and nail Edge before he caves Rey’s skull in. Rey now gives Edge some of his own medicine, wearing out a chair across Edge’s head. Rey rolls Edge on to the announce desk, and it’s clear he has something in mind. Rey slowly rolls back into the ring, and he looks to be going for a springboard off the top rope on to the desk! The crowd encourages Rey to do it, but Rey changes his mind. He then looks to the top rope... Cole: Wait a second. Mysterio... he’s going to the top rope! He’s going to come off the top rope! Coach: No! Wait a second... this is too much! Cole: Do it Rey! Coach: How can you talk like that?! You’re supposed to be impartial! Cole: Rey Mysterio... on the top rope... frog splash through the announce desk! Oh my God! Coach: Edge? Edge... we need help out here for Edge! Rey drives Edge through the desk, but both men felt the impact of that move. Rey slowly gets back to his feet, but Edge looks like he’s out. Rey tries to drag Edge back to his feet... only for Edge to hit a low blow in sheer desperation. Edge staggers back to his feet, and he manages to get Rey back into the ring. Edge crouches in the corner, lining Rey up for a spear. Rey is too hurt to get up though, but he finally drags himself to his feet... spear! Spear! Edge drills Rey with a spear! Rey is down hurt, and Edge stands over him with an evil look on his face. Again Edge grabs two of the various chairs that are now scattered around the ring. One more time, he places one chair under Rey’s head, and holds one in his hand. Edge lifts his chair into the air, and is about to hit Rey, when the crowd start cheering. The commotion causes Edge to turn around and stare at the entrance way... Cole: It’s Vickie Guerrero! Vickie Guerrero is coming out here! Coach: Yeah but who’s she coming out here for? Cole: What do you mean by that? Coach: You know she still has the hots for Edge. Cole: What?! We haven’t seen Vickie since Edge embarrassed and humiliated her at the altar months ago on Smackdown. Coach: Wait... here comes Torrie. Edge’s girl Torrie runs down the entrance to confront Vickie. The women start shouting at each other... until Vickie slaps Torrie in the face! Edge looks on in amazement, as Vickie continues her march towards the ring. Edge stand next to the ropes, shouting at Vickie to get back up the ramp. AS Edge is being distracted, Rey drop kicks him from behind... and Edge is in position for the 619! As Rey runs to come back off the ropes, Vickie grabs one of the chairs left at ringside and holds it infront of Edge’s face... 619 with the chair! Edge is out, and Rey goes to the top rope again. Coach is screaming on commentary for Hawkins and Ryder, until Cole smugly reminds him they are banned from ringside. Rey goes to the top rope... frog splash! Rey connects, goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3! Rey has done it! Rey has finally beaten Edge! Vickie is applauding Mysterio at ringside, as Rey celebrates a huge victory over Edge! Cena dominates the early offense, using headlocks and shoulder charges to take control. This just angers Orton, and he hits back with headlocks and shoulder charges of his own. An Irish whip from Orton was reversed by Cena, and when Orton came back towards him, Cena hit a drop toe hold and quickly went for the STFU. Orton scrambled to the ropes to try break the hold, but Cena had him worried with just how sudden he could apply the submission move. With both men back on their feet, Orton nailed Cena with a hard right hand, and he applied the boots in the corner as he kept on the pressure. Orton tries to send Cena across to the other corner, but again Cena reverses, and this time he hits Orton with a bulldog as he came out of the corner. Cena goes for the cover, 1... 2... Orton gets the shoulder up. The back and forth nature of the match continues as Orton nails Cena with a hard clothesline which gets him a 2 count. Orton now looks to take control, dropping the knee across Cena’s head and slamming Cena to the mat. Orton again locks on a headlock, as he looks to try wear Cena down. Cena battles back to his feet, and he finally breaks the hold with a side suplex. Cena quickens the pace, hitting two flying shoulder blocks and a powerslam in quick succession. Orton is down in the middle of the ring, and Cena taunts him... you can’t see me! Cena off the ropes... five knuckle shuffle! Orton staggers back to his feet... Cena has him up... FU... no! Orton hits a flurry of elbows to stop Cena. Both men trade right hands, until Orton ducks and drops Cena with an inverted backbreaker. Cena is down and hurt, and Orton decides it’s time to end things. He lines himself up, ready to strike with a vicious boot to the head of Cena... King: God JR... if Orton kicks Cena in the head, this match is over. JR: If Orton connects, he could put Cena back on the shelf. Orton... stalking his prey... King: Here he comes... JR: Orton... no! Cena grabbed the boot... STFU! STFU! Cena has is locked in! King: Is Orton going to tap?! JR: Orton... trying desperately to reach the ropes... Cena pulls back with everything he has, trying to make Orton tap out. Orton is straining to reach the ropes... and finally he gets there! Cena has to break the hold, but Orton is clearly in pain from being in the STFU for so long. Orton makes it back to his feet, although he is clearly limping. Cena attacks with right hands, but out of nowhere... JR: RKO! RKO! Orton with the RKO! King: Out of nowhere! JR: Orton has Cena out... but he’s too hurt to make the cover. King: Orton’s crawling over... he’s got the cover... JR: 1... 2... no! Cena kicks out! Cena kicks out! Orton can’t believe the RKO didn’t put Cena away. After Orton composes himself, he once again lines Cena up, this time for another RKO. Cena is motionless though, and Orton starts screaming at him to get up. Cena starts to stir, but the toll of the match is starting to show. Cena, barely able to stand, finally makes it back to his feet. Orton has waited long enough, and finally he strikes... JR: RK... no! Cena... King: He’s got him up... JR: FU! FU! Cena with the FU to Orton! Here’s the cover... King: 1... 2... JR: 3! He’s done it! Cena’s done it! Cena has beat Randy Orton! King: Unbelievable! Chris Jericho! Chris, tonight you defend the WWE Championship against Triple H. Are you confident going into the match tonight? Jericho: You know I vowed I wouldn’t let Triple H take this title away from me. I vowed that the WWE would not be saved until Triple H was as far as possible from the WWE Title, and I stand by that. Triple H, you think that Summerslam is going to your night? Well you’re wrong. My title reign isn’t going to end tonight... I guarantee it. -------------------- World Heavyweight Championship Match Montel Vontavious Porter (C) v CM Punk Punk has been on a roll ever since he signed for Smackdown, and tonight he gets his first shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. MVP shocked the world when he overcame The Undertaker to win the title, and after seeing off the Deadman, he has been dominating Smackdown ever since. The match starts with Punk using kicks to the back of the leg to gain an early advantage. Punk stays on the attack with a dropkick, and he gets a 2 count with an early cover. Punk sends MVP to the corner with an Irish whip, and he follows in with a hard knee to the face. Punk goes for a bulldog out of the corner, but MVP manages to block it, and he pushes Punk into the corner. Punk crashes into the turnbuckle, and MVP quickly takes advantage with a knee to the face. MVP then locks on a facelock, trying to make the challenger submit. The champion keeps the facelock on for a long time, throwing in repeated knees to the face and the head. The crowd rallies behind Punk, and he finally manages to break the hold when he reaches the ropes. MVP stays on the attack though, delivering a stiff kick to the back of the head. MVP then lines Punk up for the drive by kick... but Punk ducks and avoids the contact, only to then run into a belly to belly suplex. MVP then decides to go for the ballin’ elbow... only for Punk to kick MVP in the head during the theatrics of the move. Punk now goes on the attack, catching MVP with an enzuigiri and going for the cover, 1... 2... MVP gets the shoulder up! The challenger is looking strong now, and when he MVP tries to regroup in the corner, Punk again nails him with a knee to the head. Punk again goes for the bulldog out of the corner, and this time he connects. Punk hooks the leg, 1... 2... again MVP kicks out! Punk quickly puts the disappointment behind him, as he drags MVP back to his feet. An Irish whip sends MVP off the ropes, but when the champion tries a running kick, Punk ducks... Cole: Punk avoids the kick... oh... wait... he’s got MVP up... Coach: No! Cole: GT... no! What the... MVP grabbed hold of the referee to save himself! Coach: What the hell was the referee doing? I can’t believe an official just hit MVP! Cole: What the hell are you talking about?! MVP grabbed the ref to save himself... Coach: I saw it with my own eyes Cole! Punk looks around, bemused as to what happened until he sees the referee lying on the mat. Punk goes over to see if he can revive the ref. While he is on one knee, MVP charges at him... drive by kick... no! Again Punk dodges it... GTS! GTS! Punk hits the Go To Sleep... but we’ve no referee! Punk drapes an arm over MVP, but there’s no ref. Punk could have MVP pinned for a 10 count, but there’s no one to make the count. Cole: Wait... here comes another referee. Coach: I hope this one doesn’t get involved in the match like the last one. Cole: Here’s the count... 1... 2... MVP gets the shoulder up! Coach: Unbelievable! What a great champion MVP is! Cole: CM Punk should have this match won! Punk looks frustrated as he knows he would be champion by now had MVP not taken out the ref. Punk again attacks, using kicks to the midsection and a roundhouse to the head. MVP goes down again, and Punk picks him up once more. He gets MVP onto his shoulders... but MVP counters... and he pushes Punk into the ref! Punk puts on the breaks to avoid taking another ref. As he turns round, MVP kicks him in the midsection... bounces off the ropes... playmaker! MVP hits the playmaker, hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! MVP retains the title! Montel Vontavious Porter beat CM Punk to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (A) Cole: MVP, has saved his title! Coach: I told you! I said all along MVP would still be champion! Cole: Yeah but CM Punk had this match won. CM Punk would be in the back celebrating by now if MVP hadn’t taken out the referee. Coach: Whatever it takes Cole. MVP did whatever he had to do to save his title. -------------------- Backstage, the Game is making his way towards the ring when he is interrupted... Triple H: What the hell do you want? Triple H: I’m not playing with you Jeff. If I see you come out tonight... I will kill you. If you steal the title, I will hunt you down... and I will cripple you. Jeff: OK. The Game tries to hit back with right hands, but Jericho stays on the attack. An Irish whip sends Triple H off the ropes, and a back body drop sends him crashing to the mat. Jericho goes for an early cover, but the Game kicks out at 2. Jericho continued on the attack, catching the Game with a one handed bulldog. Jericho pauses as Triple H gets back to his feet, but when he does, Jericho goes for the codebreaker... but Triple H grabs the top rope and Jericho’s head crashes off the mat. Triple H looks like he’ll take control, but Jericho quickly fires back with right hands. Jericho again tries an Irish whip, but this time the Game counters and he drops Jericho’s throat across the top rope. This time it’s the Game with the Irish whip, and he nails Jericho with a running knee to the face. Tripe H then takes Jericho to the corner, where he pummels him with right hands and drives the shoulder into the midsection. After a vertical suplex leads to a 2 count, the Game locks on a sleeper hold. Jericho goes down as the Game applies the pressure. The referee checks on Jericho, and raises his right hand... it drops. The ref raises it again... again it drops. One more time, we’ve got a new champion. The hand goes up... and Jericho keeps it there! The crowd now makes it’s presence felt, as Jericho battles back to his feet. Jericho connects with elbows to the midsection, and he manages to break the hold. He drives Triple H to the corner, and then sends him across. Jericho charges in... but he runs right into a boot and hits the mat hard. Triple H climbs to the second rope, and as he taunts the crowd, Jericho hits a dropkick. Jericho quickly scrambles up the ropes... and nails a hurricanrana off the top! The move takes a lot out of both men, and Jericho can’t reach over and make a cover. Both men get back up, and they start trading right hands again. Jericho gains the advantage, but when he sends Triple H off the ropes, he dips his head... and the Game drives his head into the knee. Jericho staggers back to his feet, where Triple H catches him with a kick to the midsection... JR: Oh... Triple H going for the pedigree... King: No! Jericho... he’s got the... walls of Jericho! JR: Walls of Jericho! Jericho’s got it locked in! King: In the middle of the ring too! JR: The Game’s trying to fight it... what the hell... King: It’s Shane! Shane McMahon comes racing down to the ring and gets on to the apron! Triple H starts to tap, but the referee is distracted by Shane. Jericho eventually releases the hold... right hand to Shane! The Raw general manager goes flying off the apron. Jericho turns round, and Triple H is back on his feet... codebreaker! Jericho with the codebreaker! Jericho goes for the cover... JR: Jericho hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! Yes! Yes! We saw Chris Jericho retain the WWE Title against Triple H, John Cena beat Randy Orton, and the Animal Batista overcame The Undertaker. What the hell is going to happen tonight in Wilkes-Barre, PA? Hello everyone, welcome to Monday Night Raw. I’m Jim Ross, alongside Jerry Lawler, and King, it was a hell of a night last night. King: Summerslam was unbelievable! I can’t to see the fallout of it all. JR: We expect to hear from the WWE Champion Chris Jericho at some point during the broadcast, also we want to hear from Mr Money in the Bank Jeff Hardy... HERE COMES THE MONEY JR: But it looks like we’re going to hear from the general manager of Raw, Shane McMahon first. King: And Shane does not look happy. He wanted Triple H to be champion by now, but Summerslam didn’t go quite as he planned. JR: I shudder to think what Shane has in store for Jericho tonight. Shane: First of all... I want to address the situation regarding the World Tag Team Championships. Now... Batista and the Big Show are indeed the current champions... but the Big Show is on Smackdown now. Last week... before Big Show was drafted... I agreed to sign a match at the request of the Canadian Bulldogs. I signed Batista and the Big Show against the Bulldogs for the tag team championship for tonight... and I stand by that. It’s going to be Batista... defending the World Tag Team Championship in a handicap match against the Canadian Bulldogs. King: What? JR: Oh c’mon! The Animal having to defend the titles against two men? King: Batista had a big win last night against The Undertaker... and now this? JR: Something’s not right here. Shane McMahon’s going too far here. Shane: Secondly... I am ordering that WWE Champion Chris Jericho defend his title tonight... against the Game, Triple H! JR: You gotta be kiddin’ me! King: Jericho and Triple H tonight? For the title?! JR: This is ridiculous! He can’t get away with this! Shane: And Jericho... if you don’t defend the title tonight, I will strip you of the belt and declare the championship vacant. But let me reassure you Chris... your title reign ends tonight! JR: What a damn rip off this it. Batista has to defend the tag titles in a handicap match, and Chris Jericho has to defend the WWE Title against Triple H. King: And JR... I fear that tonight could be the night Shane McMahon finally takes back control of Monday Night Raw. -------------------- Cody Rhodes v Chris Harris This was a fairly even match between two faces, with both of them needing a win to push them up the card. Cody has been on fire ever since his brutal match with Randy Orton at the Great American Bash, and the experience of working with Orton has obviously helped him. Harris ‘heels’ it up for this match, nailing Cody with several stiff right hands and a great spinning spinebuster. Harris gets a 2 count out of the move, and he looks like he could be in line for a win. Harris catches Cody in a full nelson, and he starts to wear down the youngster. Cody tries to fight the hold, but just as he looks like he’s about to break free, Harris turns it into a full nelson slam! 1... 2... Cody gets the shoulder up! Harris starts to become frustrated at his inability to put Cody away, and eventually he sets Cody up for his finishing move, the swinging side slam. Harris goes for the move... but Cody reverses... snap DDT! Cody plants Harris, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Cody Rhodes pins Chris Harris! After the bell Cody celebrates as he walks up the ramp, while Harris ahs a distinct look of frustration on his face. Dykstra: Look... Mr McMahon, I have a lot of respect for you. I think you’ve done a great job as GM of Raw... Shane: And? Dykstra: Well I gotta know... why did you cancel my match against The Undertaker at Summerslam? I mean that was going to be my big chance to put myself on the map. You signed that match right Teddy? Teddy: That’s right playa. Dykstra: So why was I kicked off the card for Batista? Shane: Listen Kenny... I don’t know you that well... but I like you. I think you got potential. But uh... anytime someone arrives here on Raw, I like to see what they’re all about. Batista and The Undertaker... that was my way of seeing what the Deadman can offer us here on Raw. Dykstra: That’s why I got kicked off the card? So you could see if Undertaker was going to be a problem or not? Shane: Well... yeah. But listen Kenny... like I said, everyone has to show what they can do... even you. Dykstra: Yeah? Shane: Yeah. Teddy... why don’t you step outside a minute? Me and Kenny have something to discuss... -------------------- Hardcore Holly v Finlay A hard hitting match between two stiff veterans. Both men nail each other with hard right hands and uppercuts early on, in what appears to be a back and forth match. Both men hit counter after counter, but when Holly reverses an Irish whip by Finlay, he catches the Irishman with a textbook dropkick. Holly goes to work, dropping elbows and legdrops. Holly also picks Finlay up with a great vertical suplex, and after holding Finlay in the air for what seems like an eternity, he drops him hard to the mat. Holly goes for a cover and gets a 2 count, with Hornswoggle looking on worried at ringside. Finlay fights back with hard kicks, but Holly fires back, and he gets Finlay up... Alabama slam? No! Finlay counters, the roll up... 1... 2... Holly kicks out! Holly looks to strike back quickly with a knee... but Finlay counters... he has Holly on his shoulders... Celtic cross! Finlay connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Finlay makes a winning debut here on Raw! Finlay and Hornswoggle celebrate, until... I was more than happy to let it sit at 1-1. But Kurt wanted to settle it... so I did. Hopefully now Kurt can let it go. Maria: So what’s next for you? Michaels: I don’t know yet. She hits a great springboard arm drag before tagging in Mickie James. Mickie comes bouncing into the ring, continuing to apply the pressure on Victoria’s arm, until Victoria catches her with a hard clothesline. Victoria drags Mickie to her corner, and the tag is made to the Glamazon. Phoenix comes into the ring and drops Mickie with a hard backbreaker. Quick tags between Beth, Melina and Victoria follow, as they hit Mickie with a number of tough moves, such as slamming Mickie to the mat and driving her face first to the canvas by the hair. Victoria goes for an elbow drop sand misses, which allows Mickie to tag in Candice. Candice flies into the ring, nailing Victoria and Beth when she runs in. Eventually all six women wind up in the ring, with right hands flying all over the place. Michelle and Victoria brawl on the outside, and when Melina and Beth toss Mickie out of the ring, it doesn’t look good for Candice. Candice catches Beht with a spinning heel kick, but when she gets back to her feet, the Women’s Champion Melina is waiting for her and she nails her with a spinning facebuster. 1... 2... 3! The champion Melina picks up the victory for her team, but she also scores a pinfall over Candice Michelle, the Diva looking most likely to take the title away from her in recent weeks. The Animal goes to work on Harry in the corner, driving the shoulder into the midsection. TJ manages to make it back to the apron... only for Batista to throw him over the top rope into the ring. With both Bulldogs reeling, Batista charges at them... double clothesline! Batista is looking dominant, but Natalya jumps up on to the apron to distract him. As Batista chases her back down, he turns right into a dropkick from TJ. The Bulldogs go to work on the Animal with hard boots, until the referee finally manages to get back some order by forcing TJ to the corner. Smith and Wilson now start making tags, as they use their advantage well. They hammer Batista in their corner with hard shots to the midsection, as they try and wear down Batista enough to reclaim the titles. Wilson goes for an Irish whip, but Batista reverses it and catches him with a back elbow. An Irish whip from the corner sends TJ hard across, but when Batista charges in, Wilson manages to dodge the contact. He quickly tags in Harry... but he runs right into a spinebuster! TJ sees his partner in trouble and quickly charges in... spear! Batista catches him with a spear! Batista grabs hold of Wilson... and throws him over the top rope! Harry is left alone in the ring with the Animal... thumbs up... thumbs down! Batista kicks Harry in the midsection... he has him set up... King: Here it coems... Carlito had his baby brother standing by, ready, just incase things went bad. This... this is Carlito’s Cartel. Henry has arrived on Raw with a meaner attitude, and he looks to establish himself as a dominant force on Raw. Cena is fresh off his great win over Randy Orton the night before at Summerslam, and he could still be hurting, which could offer Henry an advantage. The match starts with Cena trying to hit Henry with right hands, but the World’s Strongest Man keeps swatting Cena away. Cena then tries to quicken the pace by coming off the ropes, but when he goes for a crossbody, Henry catches him... and drives him to the mat with a huge slam! Henry is obviously out to brutalize Cena tonight, as instead of going for an early cover, he delivers a hard kick to the spine. Cena manages to stagger to the corner, but Henry keeps up the pressure, nailing Cena with hard right hands. Henry keeps up the pressure with a blatant choke in the corner, taking every second of the ref’s 5 count before breaking the hold. Henry sends Cena across the ring with an Irish whip, and when Cena goes crashing into the turnbuckle, he hits the mat hard, and it looks like the effort he pt in to beat Orton last night ahs finally caught up with him. Cena tries to fight back from his knees, but Henry just clubs him on the back and ends that attack. Again Cena manages to make it to the corner, but this time Henry decides to line himself up and charge at Cena. Here comes Henry... nobody home! Cena managed to move, and now he attacks with rights and lefts. Cena comes off the ropes... flying shoulder block! Cena starts to build momentum, and he has Henry staggering. Henry makes it back to his feet... but Cena is waiting for him... FU! FU! Cena hits the FU, goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3! John Cena gets the win, but Henry looked extremely dangerous on his Raw debut. And Chris, I know you went through a battle last night with Triple H... and now Shane McMahon is forcing you to go through that battle again tonight. Chris, how are you feeling right now, and are you ready for tonight’s match? Jericho: How am I feeling? I feel like Shane McMahon and Triple H are trying to screw me out of my WWE Title. But you know what? I’m not going to let it happen. Shane... you can try all you want to take this title away from me... but it’s not going to happen. I beat Triple H last night... and I’ll do it again tonight. --------------------- WWE Championship Match Chris Jericho (C) v Triple H Jericho makes his way down to the ring, and as he poses on the apron for the crowd, Triple H jumps him from behind with a knee to the back that sends Jericho crashing into the barricade. The Game attacks early, throwing Jericho shoulder first into the ring steps before picking him up and dropping him throat first across the barricade, all before Jericho has even had a chance to take the belt off his waist yet. Triple H throws Jericho into the ring, the bell finally rings but Jericho is already in a bad way. The Game goes on the attack, “stomping a mud hole” on Jericho in the corner. Jericho is sent across the ring, and as he crashes off the turnbuckle, he finally gets some offense in with a clothesline that takes Triple H down. Another clothesline sends the Game over the top rope, but Jericho stays on the attack. He quickly goes to the top rope... and comes flying off on to Triple H on the outside! Jericho now returns the favour, sending the Game into the steps. Triple H’s face then bounces off the announce desk, sending JR and King running for cover. Back in the ring, both men trade hands in the middle of the ring, until the Game drops Jericho with a DDT. Triple H goes for a cover and gets a 2 count, and while he has Jericho down, he locks on a sleeper hold. Jericho manages to fight back to his feet, and when he breaks the hold, he sends Triple H off the ropes... but the Game hits a knee to the face. Jericho is down again, and Triple H looks like he wants to end it. He gets Jericho up... kick to the midsection... JR: Pedigree! King: No! Wait... Jericho counters... JR: Walls of Jericho! Walls of Jericho! Jericho’s going to... King: What the... its Kennedy! Kennedy charges down to the ring. Much like last night, Jericho let’s go of the walls and meets any interference at the ropes. Right hand to Kennedy! He goes flying to the ground. Jericho turns around... codebreaker! Just like last night! Jericho again plants the Game with the codebreaker. But wait... King: Now Shane’s out here! JR: Get him out of here! C’mon ref! King: Jericho has the pin... but the ref’s distracted. JR: Dammit ref! Turn around... what the hell? JR: And now Triple H is crawling towards Jericho... he’s got a cover, here comes the ref. 1... 2... King: No... JR: 3! 3! Dammit! Triple H has stole the title! Triple H is the new champion! Triple H beat Chris Jericho to become the new WWE Champion (A) King: And look at Shane! He couldn’t be happier. I can’t believe what I’ve seen tonight. Chris Jericho has been robbed. And now... the Bulldogs holding up Jericho... no... no! Another shot with the title! Dammit! Dammit to hell! Jericho has been robbed! King: And JR finally, Triple H and Shane McMahon have brought the title back to the McMahon family. JR: This stinks. This isn’t right! I honestly am shocked at what we’ve seen. Jericho has been screwed here tonight. Well... we’ve got to go folks. That was a fairly important episode Raw there. It sets things up for a good few months, all the way to Wrestlemania XXV if things work out the way I hope. So try and think long term when you read it. Again, comments, queries, criticism etc appreciated.

We’ve got Umaga as our champion, but Armando Estrada is pulling the strings. Hello everyone, welcome to ECW on Sci-Fi, I’m Joey Styles, Tazz is in the hot set tonight. Tazz, what is in store for us tonight in Wilkes-Barre, PA? Tazz: I don’t know, and I’m not looking forward to finding out. Styles: Well hopefully we’ll get to hear from ECW general manager Mick Foley, as well as Armando Estrada... oh! Well... that explosion should tell you that Kane is on his way down to the ring. Tazz: Oh man. The big red machine is here on ECW, and he’s making his debut tonight. Kane gets Thorn into the corner, and after delivering a couple of elbows to the head, he sends Thorn across. Kane charges in, but Thorn gets the boot up, and now he has Kane in the corner. Thorn goes to work with kicks and right hands, but the match swings back in Kane’s favour after he makes Thorn miss a big boot in the corner. Thorn staggers out of the corner... and Kane grabs him by the throat. Kane looks for the chokeslam... but Thorn manages to fight out of it, and takes Kane down with a sit out spinebuster. Thorn goes for the cover, 1... 2... Kane gets the shoulder up! Kane hangs on, but Thorn is in control. After sending Kane to the corner and this time connecting with the boot, Thorn looks to put Kane away. He kicks him in the midsection, and he has him up for the crucifix powerbomb... no! Kane slides down the back... he has Thorn by the throat... chokeslam! Kane hits the chokeslam, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Kane makes a winning debut on ECW! Cabana tries to avoid Knox, but eventually Knox gets hold of him and drives him into the corner. Knox ponds Cabana in the corner, and then starts driving the shoulder into the midsection. Cabana tries to fight his way out, but Knox is just too powerful. Knox continues the beating, dropping clubbing right hands and then hitting a long vertical suplex. Knox goes for a cover, and even thought Cabana kicks out at 2, it looks like Cabana’s winning streak could be coming to an end. Knox then catches Cabana in a bear hug, and Colt lets out a scream of pain as Knox puts on the pressure. The crowd tries to get behind Cabana, and eventually he fights his way out of the hold. Knox drops to one knee after an inverted atomic drop, which allows Cabana to quickly go to the top rope. Colt nails Knox with a missile dropkick, goes for the cover, 1... 2... Knox kicks out! Cabana tries to build some offense, but Knox reverses his Irish whip. Cabana manages to slide under the big boot... but Knox doesn’t miss with a huge clothesline. Knox calls to end it, and he gets Colt in position for the Knox Out... but Cabana counters with a roll up... 1... 2... 3! Another win for Colt Cabana! Knox is furious, but Cabana has scored yet another victory on Sci-FI. Hass is also looking for better luck now he is on ECW, so both men have something to prove in this match. The match swings back and forth early on, with Hass using his superior technical skills and Kendrick using his speed and high flying ability to keep Hass off balance. Hass attacks early, but Kendrick makes him miss with several right hands and clotheslines, leading to Kendrick hitting back with kicks to the knee and dropkicks. Kendrick goes to the second rope and tries for a crossbody... but Hass ducks and Kendrick hits the mat hard. Hass now uses his technical skills to work away on Kendrick, keeping him grounded with a chinlock. Hass also delivers a stiff kick to the spine as Kendrick sits on the mat, but when Hass ets Kendrick back on his feet and goes for an overhead belly to belly suplex, Kendrick lands on his feet. Hass wings with a right, but again Kendrick ducks. He grabs Hass round the neck, runs him to the corner... sliced bread! Kendrick hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Brian Kendrick picks up the win. Umaga manhandles Dreamer, tossing him into the corner and then raining down on him with vicious right hands. Dreamer manages to fight out of the corner and starts swinging with rights of his own, but when he comes off the ropes, he runs into a hard clothesline. Umaga then nails Dreamer with several headbuts, before applying pressure to the neck with a nerve hold. Dreamer eventually battles out of it, and again tries to get something going by coming off the ropes. Once again though, Umaga sends him back to the mat, this time with a heel kick. Umaga comes off the ropes, looking to end it with a splash... but Dreamer rolls out of the way. Dreamer quickly goes on the attack, hitting Umaga with a dropkick to the face. Umaga gets back to his feet, but Dreamer stays on the attack, getting a two count after taking Umaga down with a neckbreaker. The champion refuses to stay grounded though, and he eventually sends Dreamer to the corner. Umaga charges in... nobody home! Dreamer avoided the contact, and now Umaga is hung upside down... tree of woe! Dreamer connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... no! Umaga powers out, but Dreamer ahs the momentum and the crowd behind him. Dreamer waits for Umaga to get back to his feet... DDT! Dreamer hits the DDT, hooks the leg, 1... 2... no! Again Umaga kicks out! Dreamer now attacks again, hitting rights and lefts. He goes for another DDT... but Umaga drives him into the corner. Dreamer crumples to the mat, and his head is in position on the bottom turnbuckle. Umaga lines him up, charges in... no! Again Dreamer makes him miss! Tommy now, quickly to the second rope, he flies at Umaga... but Umaga caught him... Samoan drop! Umaga drives Dreamer to the mat, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3. Umaga is successful in his first defence of the ECW Championship. Nice job with HHH going over Jericho by the way.
Thanks man. If anyone has any suggestions for a name for said superstable, then by all means drop it in. I have an idea in mind, but it's kinda cheesy. :o

At Summerslam, we saw MVP retain the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk. Tonight, we hope to hear from the champion, as well as Rey Mysterio after he overcame Edge last Sunday. Coach: Well I was very happy to see MVP retain the title, but I can’t believe the actions of Vickie Guerrero. Edge was robbed, and he Rey Mysterio was hiding behind a woman. He ought to be ashamed of himself! Cole: The always impartial Jonathan Coachman there. We’re in Wilkes-Barre, PA tonight... NO CHANCE Cole: And it looks like we’re kicking things off with the chairman of the board, the interim general manager of Smackdown, Vince McMahon. Coach: Look at Mr McMahon! Look at that strut! That’s the strut of a great man right there. Cole: Are you still trying to convince Mr McMahon to make you the new general manager? Coach: Abosutley... Vince: Tonight... I have several announcements to make. First... I was informed earlier today by the manager of the ECW Champion, Umaga... that Umaga will be vacating the United States Championship. Armando Estrada feels that with Mick Foley making Umaga defend the ECW Championship night after night, Umaga is unable to defend the united States Championship. Therefore, starting tonight, there will be a tournament to crown a new United States Champion. The final of the tournament will take place at Unforgiven. Cole: Wow! What an announcement that is! Vince: And secondly... after MVP defended his World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam... a new number one contender will be crowned tonight. There will be a triple threat match involving the Big Show... Bobby Lashley... and Rey Mysterio! One of these men will go on to face MVP at Unforgiven! Thank you, and enjoy the show. Cole: Well things are starting to look pretty good under Mr McMahon. A tournament for the United States Championship, and a number one contenders match. Coach: Now who’s the one doing all the sucking up? -------------------- Jamie Noble v Paul London London has arrived on Smackdown with his sights firmly set on gaining Cruiserweight gold, coincidently held by his former partner Brian Kendrick. This match kicks off with a series of takedowns and counter takedowns, with Noble taking London down with a headlock takedown only for London to answer back with a headscissor takedown. Both men wind up in the corner, and when the referee calls for a break, Noble slaps London across the face. This only makes London mad, and he comes out of the corner with a flurry of right hands. London goes for an Irish whip, but when Noble reverses it, he sends London flying over the top rope and crashing to the floor. Noble follows London out, driving him back first against the ring and then throwing him into the barricade. Back in the ring, Noble continues working on London’s back, delivering several kicks and hard forearms. Noble then applies a stretch, trying to apply pressure. London fights out of it with a hip toss, and then hits a great dropkick as Noble gets back on his feet.London grabs Noble and hoists him up, perching him on the top rope. London also climbs to the second rope... and hits a top rope hurricanrana! 1... 2... 3! Paul London makes a winning start to life back on Smackdown. And MVP, after beating CM Punk at Summerslam, we now wait to see who you will face at Unforgiven. MVP: See I told you all I would beat CM Punk. I told you all he couldn’t beat me. And now, Rey Mysterio, or Big Show, or Bobby Lashley, it don’t matter who it is... they’ll all find it out too. That no-one... is better than me. --------------------- United States Championship Tournament Quarter Final Match Matt Hardy v Gregory Helms The first quarter final of the United States Championship tournament sees these two former rivals go at. Helms was on fire since returning, but last week he suffered his first defeat since his return in a Cruiserweight Title chance. Matt came up short at Summerslam, and now he returns to chasing titles on Smackdown. Hardy starts fast, catching Helms with several right hands... and a side effect! Helms is stunned, and Matt already has him lined up for the twist of fate... but Helms manages to get out of the ring before Matt can strike. Helms regroups on the floor, and when Hardy follows him out, Helms nails a drop toe hold that sends Hardy crashing into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Helms locks on a half Boston crab, as he looks to wear Hardy down. Hardy manages to inch his way to the ropes, but the damage has been done. Helms delivers stiff kicks to the knee he damaged, as he drops the elbow on top of it. Helms goes for a neckbreaker, but Hardy counters with a suplex, and he gets a 2 count from it. Hardy, still limping, manages to put together some offense, hitting Helms with a bulldog out of the corner. Hardy sends Helms of the ropes, but when Helms reverses, he sets Hardy up for the nightmare of Helms street... only for Hardy to counter... twist of fate! Hardy connects, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Matt Hardy wins, and he advances to the semi finals of the United States Championship Tournament. Matt Hardy beat Gregory Helms (B-) -------------------- Cole: Ladies and gentlemen, right now we have an update on the condition of John Bradshaw Layfield. If you remember a couple of weeks back, JBL was injured during a match with Tommy Dreamer on ECW. JBL is still recovering from the damage he suffered to his neck. Hopefully we’ll be able to conduct an interview with JBL at some point over the next couple of weeks to find out more about his condition. -------------------- Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore v Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas Stevens and Douglas make their debuts in the WWE as members of the tag team division here on Smackdown. Unfortunately for them, they make their debuts against Jimmy and Shannon, a team that has the tag team champions Hawkins and Ryder firmly in their sights. Stevens and Douglas try and make their presence felt, but Moore and Wang Yang are on fire right now, and they make quick work of the newcomers. Douglas and Stevens do manage some offense, as Douglas hits Jimmy with a nice tornado DDT and then Stevens hits a dropkick off the top. Jimmy eventually gets back in control, dropping Stevens with a spinning heel kick. Wang Yang crawls to his corner, and he tags in Shannon Moore. Moore comes into the ring and cleans house, nailing Stevens with an enziguri and then clotheslining Douglas over the top rope to the floor. Moore then follows up by coming off the top rope on top of Douglas, leaving Jimmy and Chase in the ring. Jimmy makes quick work of Chase though, ducking a clothesline and going to the top rope... moonsault! Jimmy hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3! Wang Yang and Moore get another win, and their shot at the titles can’t be all that far away. And Show, tonight you face Rey Mysterio and Bobby Lashley in a triple threat match for the chance to go on and face MVP at Unforgiven. Show, you’ve got to be the favourite for this match right? Show: Yeah, I probably am the favourite. And sadly for Rey and Bobby... I will be the man to go to Unforgiven to face MVP. And when I get my hands on you MVP... I am going to destroy you. I will be World Heavyweight Champion... it’s just a matter of time. --------------------- Matt Bentley v Matt Sydal Matt Bentley continues to search for that elusive first win here on Smackdown, but sadly he wasn’t going to find it against Matt Sydal tonight. Sydal has looked impressive since his debut, and he carried on that impressive streak tonight. Week by week though, Bentley has managed to get more offense into his matches, and that continued tonight, as he started the match strongly, as he took Sydal down with several armdrags and applied pressure to the shoulder. Bentley also managed to hit a German suplex for a 2 count. Sydal answered back with a roundhouse kick followed by a hurricanrana. The match swung back and forth, with Bentley gaining the advantage after hitting a dropkick when Sydal attempted a springboard moonsault. Bentley went to the top rope, looking for an elbow drop... but Sydal managed to avoid the move. Sydal quickly went on the attack, coming off the top rope and driving both knees into the chest of Bentley for a two count. Sydal then climbed to the top rope, and after lining Bentley up... he nailed the shooting star press! Sydal went for the cover, 1... 2... 3! Matt Sydal grabbed the win, and continued his climb up the rankings on Smackdown. Santino arrived from Raw in the draft and immediately started running his mouth, much to the amusement of the Smackdown locker room. Killings goes after Santino in the early going, but Santino heads straight for the corner and demands a rope break from the referee. After two or three attempts at this, Killings loses his patience and starts nailing Santino with right hands. Santino again tries to hide, putting the referee between himself and Killings. After Killings gets the ref out of the way, Santino nails him with a low blow behind the ref’s back. Santino moved quickly to take advantage of this, catching Killings with a neckbreaker for a 2 count. Once back on his feet, Killings again took control, hoisting Santino up for a vertical suplex and dropping him into a cutter. Santino looks like he could be out, so Killings moves to set him up for the axe kick. Santino staggers back to his feet, and Killings goes for the kick... but Santino counters with a roll up! 1... 2... Santino has his feet on the ropes... 3! Santino has just stolen a victory, and he will advance in the tournament. Lashley attacks with right hands, while Mysterio goes for kicks to the leg. Big Show however just manhandles both of them, tossing Lashley to the corner and throwing Rey through the ropes to the floor. Big Show then sends Lashley to the corner, and he slaps Lashley across the chest... and then again. Big Show continues to do damage to Lashley, but Mysterio is back in the ring... and he dropkicks Show from behind, but the big man doesn’t go down. Big Show turns, and as Rey goes for a headscissors... but Big Show doesn’t budge. Mysterio is in trouble, and he once again gets dumped to the floor. Lashley now goes on the attack, rocking the Big Show with right hands. Lashley comes off the ropes... spear! Lashley hits a spear, goes for the cover, 1... 2... Mysterio makes the save! Big Show is still down hurting, so Lashley and Mysterio now start to battle. Rey ducks a clothesline and takes Lashley down with a headscissors. He then catches Lashley with a bulldog, and Rey goes for a cover, 1... 2... Lashley powers out! Mysterio looks to stay on the attack, going to the top rope... droppin’ da dime... oh! Mysterio dropped Lashley, but then bounced into a boot from the Big Show. Big Show is again in control, and once more he tosses Rey through the ropes. Big Show drags Lashley back to his feet, and he grabs Lashley by the throat. Big Show... he gets Lashley up for a chokeslam... but Lashley manages to fight his way out of it. Big Show pushes Lashley off the ropes... ducks a clothesline... spear! Lashley hits another spear, but Big Show manages to drag himself to the ropes. Wait... Big Show is in position... Rey off the ropes... 619! Rey hits the 619... spear! A third spear to Big Show! But Mysterio’s on the top rope... west coast pop! Mysterio takes Lashley down, has the cover, 1... 2... 3! He did it! We live and sold out in Pittsburgh, PA. Last week, we went off the air to the scene of Triple H as the new WWE Champion, but he wasn’t the only one celebrating in the ring. King: Right. I mean, we had Triple H, Shane McMahon, Kenny Dykstra... uh... Mr Kennedy, the Bulldogs... all of them in the ring as we went off the air. JR: You have to wonder just what the relationship is between them all... Triple H! I bet you’re all wondering exactly why this collection of superstars are in the ring right now. Well you see... this is a group of the best young talent here on Raw. This is a group that is set to take over Raw. This is a group that is set to dominate. And the man who will lead this group... the man who will teach these youngsters what it takes to be a champion... is the Game, Triple H! Triple H: You know, the last time a group of individuals went on and dominated this brand... I was the leader of that group too. I’m sure you all remember Evolution. Well this... this is where the next stage of the evolution happens. This is where the evolution... evolves again. This where the evolution comes back around. We’ve had Evolution... I guess you could say... this is Revolution! This is a group designed to take over and dominate this brand. And there will be no saviours, there will be no... BREAK THE WALLS DOWN JR: Well maybe there will be a saviour. Here comes Chris Jericho. King: JR... if anyone can save us, it’s Y2J. Jericho: Please... shut... the hell... up! Triple H... you stole that title from me last week... and I want it back. If I have to run through the pre schoolers in there to get it... then that’s what I’ll do. But you are a fraud Triple H! Triple H: Wrong Jericho... I am the champion! And if you want a rematch... then maybe you should have to earn it. What do you say Shane? Shane: I tell you what Jericho. You want a rematch... you can have it. How about, Triple H and Chris Jericho, one on one... at Unforgiven? I think that sounds good. So let’s do it... let’s make that match... on one condition Chris. You’re going to have to earn your rematch Chris. You’re going to have to earn it tonight... in a handicap match... against Kennedy and Dykstra. You beat both of them... you’ll get your rematch. Jericho: Alright... fine. But I promise you this Game... this isn’t over. You’re a fraud, you’re a sham... and I’m going to prove it. And I’m gonna start with you two idiots tonight. Triple H: That’s great Chris. But understand this... nobody is going to save you... from me! -------------------- Back from commercial, we join Carlito and his Cartel in the ring... Carlito: Tonight is Carlito’s baby brother Primo’s first match here in the WWE. Cody meanwhile has quietly been putting together a string of victories lately, so this won’t be an easy debut for Primo. He goes straight at Cody early on, but Cody shows how far he has come in little over a year by keeping the newcomer at bay. Cody gets caught in the corner though, and Primo drives the shoulder into the gut. Cody reverses an Irish whip, but hr runs into an elbow. Primo quickly goes to the top rope and nails a great hurricanrana. After hitting the move, Primo looks towards his brother, almost as if he is seeking his approval. Carlito and Apolo look none too impressed, so Primo again goes for the spectacular move, going back to the top rope and this time going for a crossbody. Cody manages to duck this time, and he goes for the DDT... only for Apolo to grab Cody by the foot. Apolo gets in Cody’s face on the apron, but the big man goes flying back down after a right hand. Cody is distracted though, and Primo comes up from behind... backstabber! Primo nails Cody with his brother’s finishing move, goes for the cover... but no. Carlito tosses Primo his apple, and Primo takes a bite. As Cody staggers back to his feet, Primo is poised to spit the apple in his face... but Cody hits a right hand! Apple goes flying everywhere... and Cody nails the DDT! Here’s the cover, 1... 2... 3! Cody Rhodes hands Primo Colon a losing debut, and Carlito is furious! Michele is making her first appearance in a singles match since coming over from Smackdown in the draft, and a win over the champion would put her into the title hunt straight away. Michelle starts the match strong, taking Melina down with a Russian leg sweep and then getting a 2 count. Melina answers back by taking Michelle down by the hair, but McCool answers back with a roll up for another 2 count. Melina looks shocked at the way this match is going, and it looks like getting worse when McCool nails a handspring back elbow in the corner. Michelle comes off the ropes, looking to maybe put Melina away... but Melina ducks... and nails a split legged neckbreaker. Michelle slumps to the mat in pain, but the Women’s Champion isn’t finished yet. She drags McCool back to her feet... and hits the split legged bulldog! 1... 2... 3! The Women’s Champion sees off Michelle McCool, and surely now the number one contender to the Women’s Championship must be Candice Michelle. There were plenty of uppercuts and stiff right hands early on, as well as Snitsky planting Finlay with a big boot to the face. Snitsky uses his superior size and power advantage to push Finlay into the corner, where he targets Finlay’s shoulder. Snitsky goes for another boot to the face, but Finlay ducks, sending Snitsky over the top to the floor. Snitsky lands right infront of Hornswoggle, and while the little guy taunts him, Finlay catches Snitsky from behind. The battle continues on the outside, as Finlay drives Snitsky into the side of the ring. Snitsky answers back with a hard clothesline, and he then sends Finlay shoulder first into the ring post. The fight returns to the ring, and Snitsky takes control, getting a 2 count after a shoulderbreaker. Snitsky sends Finlay to the corner with a hard Irish whip, and as he lines Finlay up in the other corner, Hornswoggle can barely stand to look. Snitsky charges in, looking to take Finlay’s head off with the boot... but he misses! Finlay avoided the contact, and still feeling the pain of the damage done to his shoulder, he goes to work with the boots. After hard shots to the back of the leg, Finlay goes for an Irish whip... but Snitsky reverses. Finlay comes off the ropes, and Snitsky goes for the boot... but Finlay slides underneath... Celtic cross! Finlay drops Snitsky, hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! Finlay gets another win... Michaels is just off his Summerslam win over Kurt Angle, and he looked to build on that tonight. Michaels started the match fast, taking Regal down with a clothesline and then nailing him with a flying forearm. Both men traded right hands on the mat, until Michaels took Regal down with an atomic drop. Michaels went to the corner and lined Regal up for an early sweet chin music... but Regal saw it coming and dived to the floor. Once Regal had regrouped, he came back into the ring. Regal gained the upper hand after a boot to the midsection, as he used his technical skills to good effect, taking Michaels down with a series of suplexes and then causing damage with hard uppercuts. Regal then locked on the Regal stretch, applying pressure on the upper body of Michaels. The referee repeatedly asks Michaels if he wants to submit, but Michaels refuses... and eventually he makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Both men get back on their feet, and as Regal tries to continue the pressure, he sends Michaels to the corner with an Irish whip... only for Regal to run into an elbow. Regal goes down after a slam, and Michaels climbs to the top rope. Michaels is set... elbow drop! Shawn hooks the leg, 1... 2... Regal kicks out! Michaels almost had the match won... and he may finish it here. Shawn lines Regal up in the corner, tunes up the band... sweet chin music! Michaels catches Regal on the jaw, goes for the cover, 1... 2... 3! Shawn Michaels gets the win! Batista! And Batista, last week you were pretty much robbed of the tag team championship by the Canadian Bulldogs, and the you were subject to a vicious beating from Shane McMahon and Mr Kennedy. Batista, how are you feeling right now after all that happened last week? Batista: How am I feeling? I feel like I owe Shane McMahon and ass kicking! So right here, right now... I am issuing a challenge. Shane... I’m sick and tired of your crap. I want you in a match at Unforgiven! I don’t care what kind of match it is, just as long as it’s you and me in the ring. But I promise you Shane... I am going to destroy you! ---------------------- Batista v Mark Henry These two had their battles in the past over on Smackdown, and now they have another one on Raw. The match starts with both men trash talking each other, until Henry slaps Batista in the face. This only angers the Animal, and he forces Henry to the corner with hard rights and lefts. Once there, Batista drives the shoulder into the midsection and then rocks Henry with a clothesline, before a hard kick to the head sends Henry through the ropes to the outside. Batista takes the fight to Henry on the outside, hitting him with hard shots to the gut... until a huge headbutt levels the Animal. Henry follows this up by sending Batista shoulder first into the steel steps, as JR and King question the fact that Henry may have an order from Shane McMahon to cause as much pain as possible tonight. Back in the ring, Henry has Batista positioned against in the corner, and he charges in for a splash... but Batista gets out of the way. As Henry turns around... spear! Batista hits a spear, goes for the cover, 1... 2... Henry powers out! Batista gets back to his feet, waiting for Henry to rise... spinebuster! Batista plants Henry, and now he starts violently shaking the ropes. The Aniaml is looking to end things. Thumbs up... thumbs down! Batista picks up Henry, has him in position for the Batista-bomb, until... King: Here it comes... JR: Batista-bo... oh what the hell! I can’t believe you didn’t use that briefcase last week. I mean Triple H was out, you could’ve just sneaked in and pinned him. Jeff: What? With Shane and Kennedy and all those other guys out there? Cena: Well... I never thought of that. So what about Unforgiven? I mean so far, I haven’t got a match, you haven’t got a match... that could be your moment. Jeff: Yeah maybe it will be. Cena: Well make me a deal man... if you do use it and get the title... you give me the first shot at you huh? Jeff: Alright... deal. Cena: That is of course, if I don’t get my hands on the title before you. Jeff: You got something in mind? Cena: I might have a little something up my sleeve for next week. Anyway, man... I’m outta here. Take it easy. ------------------------- JR: Folks, during the commercial, Shane McMahon was taking out of the arena on a stretcher. We believe he was put in an ambulance and taking to a local hospital. King: Poor Shane... JR: Shane McMahon is not here anymore folks. He is not in the arena. King: First Batista challenges Shane to a match, then The Undertaker chokeslams him... this has not been a good night for Shane. King: And it could get a whole lot worse if Chris Jericho can win this match... Chris Jericho v Mr Kennedy and Kenny Dykstra As the bell rings, Jericho tries to keep both Kennedy and Dykstra off balance, hitting right hands on both member of Revolution in quick succession. Kennedy goes down after a clothesline, giving Jericho the chance to work on Dykstra. Dykstra ties a kick to the midsection, but Jericho catches his boot... and quickly goes for the walls of Jericho! It looks like Jericho could have this match won after a just a few minutes... but Kennedy makes the save. Kennedy and Dykstra now apply the boots to Jericho in the corner, and back in the middle of the ring they show some great teamwork when Dykstra hits a chop block and Kennedy hits a clothesline for a great looking double team move. Dykstra and Kennedy could go for a cover right now, but they decide to hold off on it, knowing Triple H wants Jericho to suffer first. More boots and right hands are applied, before Kennedy and Dykstra go for yet another double team move. This time Kennedy nails Jericho with a back breaker, but he holds Jericho in place across his knee. Dykstra quickly goes to the top rope... and nails a guillotine legdrop! Kennedy and Dykstra waste time by high fiving each other, before Kenny finally goes for the cover, 1... 2... Jericho kicks out! Jericho keeps his Unforgiven hopes alive, but things look like getting worse for him... JR: Jericho has been dismantled here. Kennedy and Dykstra will have made Shane McMahon very happy I’m sure. King: That’s if Shane is even awake right now. He could be lying on a hospital bed, unconscious after what happened to him earlier... JR: Now wait a second. Triple H is coming out here. Now what the hell is he doing out here? King: Well... I guess he’s out here to watch the match. JR: Yeah right. With the Game watching on, Kennedy and Dykstra try to outdo one another. Dykstra hits a great dropkick off the top rope, while Kennedy drags Jericho up there... Green Bay plunge! The Game at ringside looks delighted, and it looks like Jericho could be pinned for a 100 count. Kennedy mocks Jericho by placing a foot on his chest, as the referee starts to count. 1... 2... GONG King: Not again! JR: What on Earth is going on around here? Hey out of curiosity I think you should have HBK move to Smackdown to "motivate" his nefew Matt Bentley and Paul London. Because that would give you a stable on smackdown to run the show. Give it till after Unforgiven so all your stories can develop PS:I know who the Irish Curse is.

I like your idea matti, but I have plans in mind for all of those guys. HBK is still needed on Raw. I have plans for him, both for the short term and long term. Matt Bentley is about to be invovled in something on Smackdown. I know he loses a lot on the shows, but I've let him win dark matches to build some momentum. But yeah, he will be involved. As for London, I moved him over in the draft because I have plans for him. They should become clearer over the next couple of weeks, in fact this weeks Smackdown will be the start of it. I also don't want Smackdown to become another version of Raw. I've tried to show Raw as something seperate, while Smackdown and ECW will compete with each other down the line. So I think I'll keep the uber stable on Raw and stay away from that on Smackdown. As for the Curse, I think if you know even a little bit about who is in development for the 'E then it won't be hard to figure out. Or if you even google Irish Curse you'll find out. I don't mind people knowing who it is, but I'm writing as if JR and King don't know. It's just to hype the new guy, do hopefully help with momentum and popularity. Plus I think it'll give an insight into what kind of character I see him as and how I will write him when he's finally revealed. But yeah matti, thanks a lot man. Plenty of stuff to think about, and good to know you're still reading. If anyone else has anymore comments like that, then get them in. Always good to read them.

Wow it's been a while since I've been on the boards but anyways, this diary is awesome. I like the Undertaker moving to RAW. I hope you give Kendrick the gimmick that he has in real life. That would pwn. Push Val Venis! Also interested in the Hardy/Cena angle. Do I smell a Cena turn? Anyways I'm interested in what you have planned for HBK. KUTGW! P.S. I know it's too late now, but I thought of a name you could use for your superstable on RAW. The Supremecy.

As for the other comments, Undertaker on Raw is to set up what I think could something huge down the road. Much like the creation of Revolution, I'm planning for the long term with a lot of things right now, as I plan to take this all the way to Mania 25. Again thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

I’m Joey Styles, alongside former ECW Champion Tazz. We are coming to you from Pittsburgh, PA, and Tazz, we have a huge main event tonight. Tazz: God I can’t wait. The former ECW Champion Shelton Benjamin gets his rematch against the man he lost the title to at Summerslam, the Samoan bulldozer Umaga. I don’t really like either of these two guys, but I can’t wait to see them go at each other. Styles: Also tonight, John Morrison is in action, we hope to hear from Kurt Angle... oh! And that explosion of pyros tells us that the big red machine Kane is on his way out here. Tazz: Well Kane got a win last week over Kevin Thorn, he’ll be looking to keep building the momentum with another win tonight. Mike Knox v Kane Kane has arrived in ECW looking to take over, and he never gave Knox much of a chance at victory tonight. Right from the bell, Kane marched towards Knox and nailed him with a hard uppercut. An Irish whip sent Knox off the ropes, and then a back body drop sent him flying through the air. Kane was all power, pummelling Knox in the corner and then catching him with a powerslam. Kane went for a cover and got 2 count, but it seemed only a matter of time until he got the 3. Again Knox was sent to the corner, and Kane followed in with a clothesline. As Kane went for another shot in the corner, Know managed to get his foot up in Kane’s face, and then dropped him with a clothesline. Knox managed to finally get some offence in, nailing Kane with boots and the hitting a backbreaker. Just as it looked like Knox was going to build on this, Kane answered back with another big boot. He climbed to the top rope, waiting for Knox to get back on his feet... clothesline off the top! Knox goes down again, and Kane has him lined up... he’s got him by the throat... chokeslam! Kane drives Knox to the mat, hooks the leg, 1... 2... 3. Kane picks up his second win since arriving on ECW, but his night wasn’t over yet... Kane beat Mike Knox (C+) Styles: Another impressive win for Kane on ECW. Tazz: The big red machine has arrived here on Sci-Fi with a new attitude and he... Styles: Kevin Thorn, who lost to Kane last week, and now he’s attacking the big red machine. Tazz: Yeah he’s just all over Kane with the boots and... Styles: Oh wait a minute. Thorn... he’s got Kane up... oh! Crucifix powerbomb! Devastating move! Tonight, my Samoan bulldozer will destroy Shelton Benjamin. Foley: Alright fine. But I got to tell you Estrada, not only did the draft give me Umaga... I also got a bunch of guys dying to take that title away from him. Estrada: Like who? Foley: Well... even if you do get past Shelton Benjamin tonight... who know, next week it could be... Kane. Or maybe even... Kurt Angle. Or how about... John Morrison? Estrada: Listen amigo. You got nothing my friend. Kane... I just saw him get his ass handed to him. Kurt Angle? He can’t hang with Umaga. As for John Morrison... Umaga already beat him. Cabana has been on a roll since he made his debut, picking up wins over both Striker and Miz. Colt and Miz start the match, and Cabana quickly gains the upper hand, nailing Miz with right hands and dropping him with a headscissors. Cabana tags in Kingston, who comes in off the top rope, dropping an elbow across the arm of Miz. Kingston looked to show his athletic ability, but he went for a heel kick only to see Miz duck and Kingston crashed off the mat. Miz and Striker used quick tags to cause some damage, until Striker sent Kingston through the ropes to the floor. As Striker picked a fight with Colt, Big Daddy V at ringside made his presence felt. With the referee distracted, V drove Kingston shoulder first into the ringpost. As V threw Kingston back into the ring, Striker went for the cover, 1... 2... Kingston kicks out. Miz came back into the ring and continued the pressure on Kingston’s arm. More quick tags followed, with Miz and Striker working well together to keep Kingston away from Cabana. Miz looked to end the match when he went for the reality check... only for Kingston counter with a roundhouse kick. Both men crawled towards their corner, and despite Striker’s best efforts, Kingston tagged in Cabana. Colt quickly went to the top rope and nailed Striker with a missile dropkick. Miz tried to get back involved, but he was quickly sent flying over the top rope. Striker caught Cabana from behind, but he turned around... right into the trouble in paradise! Kingston connected, hooked the leg, 1... 2... 3! Kingston and Cabana win, and Cabana remains undefeated in the WWE. Kurt Angle! And Kurt, last week you said you were here for the ECW Championship. Last week Umaga defended the title against Tommy Dreamer, and tonight he takes on Shelton Benjamin. Kurt, when are you going to get your shot? Angle: You know, that’s a great question. I’ve been wondering that myself. When am I going to get my shot at Umaga? Well... how about I take it upon myself to decide? I am challenging whoever wins the ECW Title match tonight, be it Umaga or Shelton Benjamin... to a match at Unforgiven! The winner tonight... against me for the title! At Unforgiven... I will become the ECW Champion. Oh it’s true... it’s damn true! -------------------- John Morrison v Charlie Hass Morrison came out determined to show he deserved another shot at Umaga, despite the comments of Kurt Angle and last week’s chance for Tommy Dreamer and this week’s shot for Shelton Benjamin. Hass was determined to pick up his first win on ECW after his defeat to Brian Kendrick last week, so both men had plenty to prove in this one. Hass gained an early advantage with some hard boots and even harder uppercuts, before he took Morrison to the mat with a slam. Hass then looked to use his technical advantage by locking on a reverse chinlock. Hass then showed a bit of toughness by delivering a stiff kick to the back of Morrison, before taking him back down with a neckbreaker. An Irish whip sent Morrison off the ropes, but he ducked Hass’ clothesline attempt... and then nailed him with a spinning heel kick. Morrison now takes control, hitting a Russian leg sweep and then... split legged moonsault! Morrison hooks the leg, 1... 2... Hass kicks out! Morrison thought he had it, but Hass showed some resiliency. The match then swung back and forth, as Hass hit a bridging German suplex for a close 2 count. Both men exchanged right hands, until Morrison hit a kick to the midsection... off the ropes... moonlight drive! Morrison nails his finishing move, hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3! John Morrison picks up the win, and has surely kept himself fin the title hunt. While Tazz admits his dislike for both competitors, he admits he is rooting for Benjamin as the lesser of two evils. Elijah Burke is indeed at ringside, as is Armando Estrada, with both men known for their habit of getting involved in matches in the past. Right from the first tie up it’s clear Shelton can’t compete with Umaga in terms of power and size, so he tries to use his quickness to his advantage. Umaga takes the fight to Benjamin early on, but Benjamin manages to keep the champion off balance, making Umaga miss when he went for a splash in the corner. Benjamin tried to take advantage by coming off the ropes, but Umaga levelled him with a hard shot to the face. Umaga then punished Benjamin with hard right hands and headbutts, before sending him to the mat with a savate kick. More boots followed, until Umaga sent started throwing Benjamin from corner to corner, each time Benjamin crashing into the turnbuckle with more and more force. With Benjamin slumping to the mat, Umaga then locked on his nerve hold, with Armando Estrada looking on with a huge grin on his face. Umaga applied the pressure for a number of minutes, until the crowd started to get behind Benjamin, with Tazz pointing out that these cheers came on the back of months of hatred towards the former champion. Benjamin battled back to his feet, breaking the hold with a kick to the midsection. Benjamin off the ropes... Samoan drop! Umaga out of nowhere with the Samoan drop! That could do it... but instead Estrada encourages Umaga to go to the second rope. The champion obliges, perching himself, ready for a diving headbutt... nobody home!
