this is my first diary so bare with me. I am using the TEW Version 1.4 edition so it is kinda outta date but it suits my needs. Eugene (b+) *this match lifted the crowd* [/FONT][/SIZE] Now for the main show [COLOR="Red"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"][SIZE="3"]Fireworks explode as RAW kicks off with Randy Orton making his way down to the ring. Randy Orton gets on the microphone and after hyping himself for alittle bit he lays down a challenge to John Cena but instead of John Cena coming out Chris Jericho makes his way out and joins Randy Orton in the ring. Chris Jericho also challenges John Cena to a match which brings out WWE Chairman Vince McMahon who says tonight Randy Orton and Chris Jericho will compete with the winner heading to the Royal Rumble to face John Cena for the WWE Championship. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] A [B]NOTES:[/B] This segment lifted the crowd [B]TRISH STRATUS .v. BETH PHOENIX Both woman went out and fought back and forth with Jim Ross getting the two females confused with each other. The match ended when Beth Phoenix went for the Down In Flames but Trish Stratus blocked it before hitting the Stratusfaction and picking up the 1,2,3 Trish Stratus bt. Beth Phoenix @ 7.22[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] C+ We cut backstage and see Melina watching the victories Trish Stratus on a monitor. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C- Maria Kanellis is standing by backstage with Randy Orton and Randy Orton talks about his match tonight with Chris Jericho and how he will be victories and become WWE Champion at Royal Rumble. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B+ Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler hype the upcoming match between Ric Flair and Shelton Benjamin. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B [B]SHELTON BENJAMIN .v. RIC FLAIR Shelton Benjamin was on the offense straight from the first bell not giving Ric Flair time to get in his stride but Ric Flair's opportunity to get into the match came when Shelton Benjamin went for a Stinger Splash but Ric Flair moved out the way before chop blocking the knee of Shelton and that was the chance Flair needed. Ric Flair worked on Shelton's knee before locking in the Figure Four LegLock and Shelton Benjamin tapped out Ric Flair bt. Shelton Benjamin @ 6.01[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] A [B]NOTES:[/B] This match lifted the crowd After the match when Ric Flair is celebrating Chris Masters sneeks in the ring and locks in the MasterLock on Ric Flair. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B- We cut to the back and Todd Grisham is standing by with Chris Jericho who talks about his match with Randy Orton tonight. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B+ Chris Masters is backstage and taunts Ric Flair for being and old and washed up old man. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] D [B]WWE TAG TEAM TITLES MATCH HARDY BOYZ (c) .v. LANCE CADE & TREVOR MURDOCH This was a typical tag team match with lots of tagging in and out and lots of double teaming behind the ref's back mostly from the challengers. The end came when Matt Hardy hit the Twist Of Fate on Trevor Murdoch to pick up the 1,2,3 Hardy Boyz bt. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch @ 10.42 to retain tag team titles[/B] [B]MATCH RATING: C+[/B] [/SIZE][/COLOR][/FONT] [SIZE="3"]END OF PART 1[/SIZE]

VAL VENIS Both men put everything into this match for the chance to enter the Rumble but their could only be one winner and it was Carlito after Val Venis missed the Money Shot and Carlito took advantage by hitting the BackCracker. Val Venis @ 9.23[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] C [B]NOTES:[/B] Carlito & Val Venis did'nt click When Carlito gets backstage Maria Kanellis is waiting for him and he says he will win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C+ [B]SHAWN MICHAELS .v. KENNY DYKSTRA The youngster Kenny Dykstra did'nt seem to take Shawn Michaels seriously in this match-up as he seemed more interested in berating the crowd and Shawn Michaels whenever he could. Kenny Dykstra went for the Top Rope LegDrop but he missed it and Shawn Michaels took advantage by hitting the Sweet Chin Music to pick up the win. shawn Michaels bt. Kenny Dykstra @ 10.39[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] B [B]NOTES:[/B] This match lifted the crowd Kenny Dykstra gets on the mic and says he will personally make sure Shawn Michaels does'nt win the Royal Rumble by throwing him out himself. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B [B]#1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH CHRIS JERICHO .v. RANDY ORTON Both Randy Orton and Chris Jericho put on one hell of a match for the opportunity to face John Cena at Royal Rumble. Chris Jericho had Randy Orton locked in the Walls Of Jericho for nearly 2 minutes but Randy Orton managed to escape before finally getting the 1,2,3 after hitting Chris Jericho with the O-Zone Randy Orton bt. Chris Jericho @ 26.44[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] A [B]NOTES:[/B] This match lifted the crowd After the match John Cena and Randy Orton get into a post match staredown. Not a bad start, it was easy to read and follow. Only suggestion I would have is to post the show as a whole rather than in two parts, but other than that, that was a good first show.

GREGORY HELMS Batista used his power and strength to dominate this match-up before finally putting Gregory Helms away with the Batista Bomb. Batista bt. Gregory Helms @ 7.28[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] C Kristal Marshall is backstage with Edge and Edge talks about his match tonight with Undertaker. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B Hornswoggle is walking through the backstage area when Deuce and Domino stop him and make fun of the little guy before Finlay comes up and stands up for Hornswoggle before Deuce and Domino walk away. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] D+ Ken Kennedy is backstage and he hypes up his match with Chris Benoit tonight. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B+ [B]WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH DEUCE & DOMINO (c) .v. PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK Deuce and Domino distracted the referee on a lot of occasions during the match so their partner could use underhand tactics. The match came to an end when Deuce and Domino hit Brian Kendrick with Crack In The Mouth. Deuce & Domino bt. Paul London & Brian Kendrick @ 9.11 to retain[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] D+ After the match is over Deuce and Domino get on the mic and taunt Finlay and Hornswoggle. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C- MVP is backstage and he hypes himself as the greatest athlete on Smackdown and how he will win the Royal Rumble. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C [B]US TITLE MATCH CHRIS BENOIT (c) .v. KEN KENNEDY This match did'nt seem to get started as both men seemed like they were alien to each other and their chemistry did'nt work in the ring. The match came to an end when both Benoit and Kennedy hit heads in the ring and the referee counted both men out at 10. Chris Benoit .v. Ken Kennedy ended @ 13.54 with a Double Count-Out[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] C- [B]NOTES:[/B] Ken Kennedy and Chirs Benoit did't click [B]ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFIER MVP .v. JIMMY WANG YANG MVP seemed to take Jimmy lightly in this match and almost paid the price by getting caught with nearfalls a couple of times. MVP finally put his foot on the gas and picked up the win with the Playmaker. MVP bt. Jimmy Wang Yang @ 8.35[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] D+ Daivari comes to the ring and hypes up his client Muhammed Hassan and Muhammed Hassan gets on the mic and says he is the future of Smackdown. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] D MVP is backstage and taunts Batista and says MVP will win the Royal Rumble then Theodore Long makes MVP .v. Batista next week. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C+ William Regal, Dave Taylor and Paul Burchill are in the ring and hype themselves up. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C- [B]BOOGEYMAN .v. PAUL BURCHILL This was a squash match with Paul Burchill dominating and finally putting Boogeyman away with a Standing Shooting Star Press. Paul Burchill bt. Boogeyman @ 3.54[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] C After the match William Regal, Dave Taylor and Paul Burchill triple team the fallen Boogeyman. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C Edge comes down to the ring with a limp and says he injured himself in his warm-up so he can;t compete tonight but he has an opponent Great Khali. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B [B]NON TITLE MATCH UNDERTAKER .v. GREAT KHALI This match was a no sell fest as neither Khali or Undertaker sold any of their opponents moves. The match thankfully came to an end when Undertaker hit the Tombstone. Undertaker bt. MARCUS COR VON This was a good back and forth match which ended to prematurley when CM Punk hit the GTS on Marcus Cor Von following a failed Pounce by Cor Von. CM Punk b. Marcus Cor Von @ 7.33[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B]C+ Matt Striker is backstage and he hypes up the fact that tonight he will beat Bobby Lashley and go on to become ECW Champion. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C+ A video plays promoting Snitsky [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] D John Cena is backstage with Brooke and John Cena talks about his match with Johnny Nitro tonight. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] A [B]SNITSKY .v. LITTLE GUIDO This was a squash match as Snitsky dominated from start to finish before hitting the Big Boot to finish off Little Guido. Snitsky bt. BOBBY LASHLEY Bobby Lashley used his power and strength to try and get the advantage but Matt Striker used his sneeky tactics to try and get the upper hand. CHRIS MASTERS Chris Masters started the match out by underestimating Cody Rhodes and Cody Rhodes nearly got an early victory with a roll-up but Chris Masters kicked out and soon took his frustration out on Cody Rhodes. The match ended when Chris Masters locked in the MasterLock on Cody Rhodes. CHRIS MASTERS bt. CODY RHODES @ 6.21[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] D [B]NOTES:[/B] Chris Masters and Cody Rhodes did'nt click Carlito and Chris Masters attack Cody Rhodes after the match before Ric Flair runs down to help out Cody Rhodes. CHARLIE HAAS This was a great match with both men giving everything. Chris Jericho twice tried to put on the Walls Of Jericho on Charlie Haas but both times Charlie Haas blocked it. The match ended when Chris Jericho hit the Running Enziguri on Charlie Haas. CHRIS JERICHO bt. CHARLIE HAAS @ 8.51[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] B [B]NOTES:[/B] This match lifted the crowd Randy Orton is backstage and he taunts John Cena for being a loser and how he will become WWE Champion at Royal Rumble. MICKIE JAMES Melina started the match by attacking Mickie James from behind but Mickie James got back into the match which came to an end when Melina hit the Extreme Makeover on Mickie James. MELINA bt. MICKIE JAMES @ 5.51[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] C- After the match Trish Stratus run down and attacks Melina so Vince McMahon makes a match between the two at Royal Rumble. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] C [B]ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH LANCE CADE & TREVOR MURDOCH .v. EUGENE & MICK FOLEY Everybody was surprised by Mick Foley's apperance including Eugene so Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch took advantage of this by attacking Eugene from behind. Mick Foley eventually got into the match and cleaned house before locking in the Mandible Claw on Lance Cade to win the match EUGENE & MICK FOLEY bt. LANCE CADE & TREVOR MURDOCH @ 8.54[/B] [B]MATCH RATING:[/B] B [B]NOTES:[/B] this match lifted the crowd, Mick Foley's performance stood out, Lance Cade seemed off his game. John Cena announces Randy Orton's opponent as Shawn Michaels. [B]SEGMENT RATING:[/B] B+ [B]PICK YOUR POISON MATCH RANDY ORTON .v. SHAWN MICHAELS this was an awesome match with lots of chain wrestling and lots of counters and re-counters. Shawn Michaels went for the Elbow Drop but Randy Orton moved out the way and went for the RKO on Michaels but Shawn blocked it before going for the Sweet Chin Music but Randy Orton blocked it and hit the O-Zone to pick up the win.
