How to un-license in Vista?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to uninstall this game so thought I had better do it properly. It's just so boring now, I read that there will never actually be a pbp or various other improvements due to the game engine. Basically you're paying to beta test. I haven't d/l an update in ages, there are so many errors and faults - auto-update option would have been ideal! Anywayz, it always breaks down in Vista. I take it that as I bought the license I am free to give it away, as I own it. Therefore, anyone who wants it can email me nrallen@hotmail.co.uk although I need to know how to un-license first! First person to email for the license can have it.

Sad that you complain about the errors in the game, and yet won't download the updates. I take it Auto-Update isn't feasible for the game. It's not a beta test, it's a complete game. There are always bugs in games, and unlike the big companies, Adam will actually listen to your problems. As for the actual game engine, yeah, there won't be updates. I don't see why you would give the license away, but it's your choice. If you want to unlicense it, go to Control Panel and then go to eLiscence.

It's the whole playing/testing and reporting etc. Seems like a beta to me. Also, tiresome without auto-update. You buy a game then that's it in most cases. Maybe I'm just not used to pc gaming. Also, there is no elicense in control panel on Vista. Ideas?

There is a program called ExplorerXP, it's free. It works just like regular Windows Explorer, however when you locate the wmma.exe file, you can right-click on the file and several options will appear (Just like if you right-click typically you will get the options for "Back, Reload, Save Image As etc...") and one of those options is "elicense control" in which you can license, or unlicense. I sent this in my email, but I figured if you didn't receive it you might find this information useful in the future as well. Edit: There is a program also called xplorer² which works with vista, it gives a free 3 week trial.
Maybe I'm just not used to pc gaming.?
Probably, although you're probably also used to big games that might not have as many bugs. Plus, on consoles, bugs are only likely to be fixed after a lot of people find them. I think this way is better, especially considering that this game is made by one person, not a whole team.
