i think it would be a great add on to have titles in the database under retired and not with a promotion kinda like the title history's where u could have the nwa title still lined up with ric flair but instead u would be able to bring back titles thats retired and not with ur promotion so that the title history would still be there or even if this doesn't seem like a great idea as i know it would be as easy enough to add the when u r editing with the editor maybe even a section for while ur playing to have a list of titles so u can view as ur playing and there prestige instead of having to go to each wrestler and view there title history it be there in one section. EDIT: also another idea for the belts is to maybe have the belts have belt connections like with the nwa title, wcw title and the world title there all 3 "different" titles but how could ric flair be a 14(?) world heavyweight champion if he onaly held the wcw title 8 times? i think this would bring more realistic feature to the game because this really does happen promotions split and recreate championships all the time. also maybe the possiblity if its not 2 hard to code is multiple title history's for titles like the nwa was defeneded in so many promotions its true lineage is hard to put down on paper and i think this would help with creating older games. also maybe the possibility have having a title owned by one promotion and only defended in others like in the wwe they once had the wwf junior heavyweight title and it was mostly defended in japan.

Something along the lines that I would lie to see... Currently if an AI Promotion has a belt with too few contenders, it will retire the belt and make a new one with no restrictions. I'd like it that say, if WWE retired the Cruiserweight belt, but then later on hired a bunch of cruisers - that they would think to bring the belt back into contention.

i like the idea of having a retired belt brought back although i really don't think you need anymore then an option to retire/reinstate tbh the worker who eventually gets the belt restores the belts preteige imo.

On the subject of belts, I would love the ability to purchase unowned belts. Like, in the TEW07 mod The Fall, the WWF, WCW, and ECW belts are unowned by any company. I would like the ability to purchase those belts, and thus bring the prestige and lineage to my company.

I more meant belt prestige, though I suppose a small fraction of promotion prestige could be added. It certainly shouldn't have the amount of impact that buying out a promotion would have, because it's only the belt. I more meant being able to purchase a single belt, and have it retain the prestige and lineage. Other than that, I don't think any promotion bonus should be gained. The only problem would be if you changed the belt name, then the name would change for all wrestlers' title histories. Then all ECW Champions would suddenly become Crap-E-Wrestling champions. Still...It seems like a shame that defunct belts just have to sit there with no owners. But at the same time, I like having them in the game to give a more legit history to real life mods. (Current era mods without full ECW or WCW title histories make me sad.)

I like this idea about having belt resurrection. Its pretty similar to my idea with belts.. you know with the in game editor, when you select to edit a championship, allow more access to it, instead of just being able to change the name, allow the user to move the belt to a different promotion as well.. that could work in the same way for Discontinued titles and can also be use to serve the whole "floating" championship thing.

Here's an idea which comes from the old ECW. The ability for a promotion to hold a tournament like the NWA did, with the winner throwing down the belt and having the company's belt being called a world title.

Just do some kind of storyline.

Then you can retire the one being "thrown down" and have the person go on from there as the champion.
