21st Century Wrestling - The International Era

OOC - This isn't real, there isn't really a wrestling promotion called 21st Century Wrestling. There isn't really a head booker called Thomas Malone and there isn't really a newspaper called The Sun - well there is but its far better written than this and has cooler pictures. Hmmm, on with the story I suppose... 21st Century Wrestling – The dream turned nightmare By Sheepy It's the promotion that the whole of the UK was talking about 3 months ago. Now all the hype has died down as the viewing figures have dwindled, we speak to the new man charged with resurrecting the fortunes of this ailing promotion. 3 months ago Jeff Nova purchased 21st Century Wrestling with the goal of revolutionising wrestling in the UK. Nova’s vision was to turn 21CW into a sports entertainment promotion worthy of rivalling those seen across the Atlantic. Nova’s vision was grand, it had the ability to change the wrestling scene not only in the UK but also across the world. 21st Century Wrestling Owner, Jeff Nova TCW and SWF’s rivalry is legendary but just imagine if they were forced to compete with another promotion across the pond? With DAVE locked in a downward spiral and USPW viewed as a joke by the masses industry insiders believed that Nova’s dream might just come to fruition. Unfortunately for this visionary, the harsh truth is that Britain wasn’t ready for him. When Nova purchased 21CW he made several bold claims and looked to back these up by securing some of the hottest stars on the UK scene. Names like Adam Matravers, Joss Thompson, and DJ Reason were all recruited and there was a definite buzz backstage about the potential of a new challenger emerging. With a television deal secured, in a prime time spot no less, Nova and co were optimistic about their tv debut and rightly so as the show scored a very high rating in excess of 1.31. Whilst Nova and the roster were confident that this success would continue, the following tv show achieved only a 0.50 rating with the next one gaining a disastrous 0.05. Why? Why had the dream soured so quickly? Two big problems The answer to this question is simple. The viewers that had tuned in to watch the opening show were expecting to see big names. Names that they were familiar with from watching re-runs of SWF and TCW shows. What they witnessed however were names that only die hard British wrestling fans were familiar with. In plain and simple language, no matter how big a reputation among the indies they have, the general public don’t care about Adam Matravers. Former head booker Pit Bull Brown Another problem became apparent very quickly. Whilst Pit Bull Brown had had a moderate amount of success booking for 21CW before Nova’s arrival, with the change in style Brown struggled to adapt to the sports entertainment product that Nova had introduced. The storylines introduced didn’t intrigue the fans and didn’t capture the audience. In short, they failed to recreate the excitement as witnessed in the SWF that 21CW was trying to imitate. A new head booker With the viewing figures dwindling and the network getting jittery, Jeff Nova decided that the time was right to take drastic action. Nova realised that with the lack of experience that British bookers had for booking a sports entertainment product he needed to look abroad. Step forward Thomas Malone. Previously to being contacted by Nova, Malone had worked for the SWF for several years. Despite having been a part of the company for so long, he’d never had an on-screen role and had worked on the storylines. Malone was considered a potential candidate for the next head booker for SWF despite his lack of in ring experience. Nether the less, destiny came knocking when Jeff Nova contacted Malone with the offer of becoming the new head booker for this struggling promotion. New head booker Thomas Malone will have to use every trick he picked up in the SWF if he is to right this sinking ship Malone shared the same vision that Nova had. Malone also saw the potential to establish a wrestling superpower in the uncompetitive UK and European markets. With the resources available to 21CW and the reputation that Malone would bring, ROF, MOSC and UCR would struggle to compete should they find the right balance. Malone quickly set about trying to increase the level of the exposure of the promotion, agreeing working agreements with the likes of NOTBPW, TCW and MPWF in order to give the promotion an international flavour. Malone has indicated in several interviews that he see the need to bring in wrestlers who are established elsewhere to give the promotion a boost to its star power; “Ask any 11 year old kid to name their favourite wrestler and they’ll tell you all about the likes of Christian Faith. Ask them to name their favourite British wrestler and they’ll without exception the name Tommy Cornell will come out. Ask them to name their favourite who’s currently wrestling in England and they’ll probably still say Cornell for his once a year appearances on TCW Goes Global (a new world tour that TCW is trying to pioneer in order to increase their overseas profits). Kids in the UK don’t know about wrestlers in the UK until they appear on TV in the big leagues. Whilst it isn’t practical to bus in a whole new roster, we need to bring in wrestlers from foreign countries that the audience will have heard about. Our goal is to integrate wrestlers from Mexico, the USA, Canada and Japan into our own product. Bring the stars from overseas that the kids look up to. Bring in the stars that are capable of delivering five star matches the likes of which haven’t been seen in this country. Stars in the making? Adam Matravers, Rolling Johnny Stones and Stevie Stoat are considered potential stars by head booker Thomas Malone But we aren’t gonna abandon the guys we’ve already got. We want to create our own stars in the process, any self sufficient promotion with an eye on the finances would! In Pit Bull Brown, Rolling Johnny Stones, Stevie Stoat and Adam Matravers we’ve got guys who have the potential to be big – Sam Keith big. They just need the right exposure, the right gimmick, the right storyline against the big names and then bang – you’ve got a star on your hands with people from around the world being after them. Of course we won’t be able to attract any SWF wrestlers to jump ship but if we start off with the indy stars and look to build from there then one day, why not bring in a former SWF world champ?" Will it work? Malone is bold, you’ve gotta give him that. Nova was bold and the 21CW dream stalled but Malone could be the guy to pull it off; his time spent in the SWF certainly showed he’s got the credentials. Whether he can attract the international talent is certainly questionable; the rumours doing the rounds are that the biggest star he’s been able to recruit from over the pond is Jacob Jett. Jett, although a gifted high flier, doesn’t have the star power to make the promotion a success and isn’t likely to bring in too many viewers at this early point in his career. The omens certainly aren’t good. Wrestling is littered with various promotions that have tried to be bold and have failed. 21CW is certainly a candidate for addition to the list of now defunct promotions. Perhaps Nova and Malone have bitten off more than they can chew, perhaps Malone will be heading back to the US to beg Richard Eisen for his old job back. Personally I hope they will succeed but my head tells me that this latest gamble isn’t likely to pay off and the closest that UK wrestling fans will get to seeing international wrestling stars in the near future will be when TCW hold their next TCW Goes Global show next August in the City of London Stadium. Interesting start - the board really needs a long-running 21CW diary, as nobody has really managed it yet. Keep it going! :) I'm particularly interested to see where you're going with the 'international stars' thing, given that the TCW and SWF guys only have around D- popularity in the UK in the base data.

I'm particularly interested to see where you're going with the 'international stars' thing, given that the TCW and SWF guys only have around D- popularity in the UK in the base data.
I've decided to make a couple of changes in the editor to overcome this. Rather than altering the popularities of the stars I've edited all of the big networks and pay per view carriers to include broadcasts in the UK. This way it should give the guys exposure and build up their overness although it will take a while to make that big of an impact. Besides, D- is still more popular than most of the guys on the current roster! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21CW - Best of British Wrestling From Parliment Square (attendance 1,000 - SELL OUT :) ) Dark Match The Party Animals vs. The Elimination Agents The Elimination Agents defeated The Party Animals in 5:36 when Genocide Agent defeated Trance by pinfall. Nova informs us that we have an action packed night which will be kicked off straight away with a four man bout to decide the next challenger for Daniel Black Francis’ UK Title. Nova and Smith put over the fact that this is also a ladder match with the first participant to grab the briefcase, within which is the guaranteed title shot, will become the number one contender to Francis’ title. (D-) MATCH 1 - 4 WAY LADDER FOR A SHOT AT THE 21CW UK TITLE VS.VS.VS. Luke Cool vs. Red Dragon vs. Rod ‘The God’ Todd vs. Rolling Johnny Stones Nova and Smith put over the fact that both Rod ‘The God’ Todd and Red Dragon are former title holders here in 21CW with Todd being one of only wrestlers to hold the short lived Strong Style title whilst Dragon is a former 21CW World Champion. Lots of spots with Dragon in particular putting his body on the line which in the end cost him as Cool capitalised, hitting the Cool Runnings on Dragon (think a running RKO). Unfortunately for Cool, as he got to his feet he turned around straight into a Rolling Neckbreaker from Stones who proceeded to climb the ladder and retrieve the title shot and the crowd cheered him on. Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Red Dragon, Rod 'The God' Todd and Luke Cool in 14:52 when Rolling Johnny Stones retrieved the item. (D) MATCH 2 - TAG TEAM NON-TITLE VS. The Anglo-Scotts Connection vs. The Ivanoff Brothers Nova and Smith put over how much of a mismatch this was, reminding the fans of just how dominating the Ivanoff Brothers had been since joining 21CW. Smith pointed out that even though the odds were well and truly against the Anglo-Scotts, a win over the tag team champs, regardless of the fact that it was in a non-title match, would give their careers a massive boost and could potentially lead to a tag team title shot. As the match got underway it quickly became clear that Nova and Smith had called the match right as The Ivanoffs dismantled their opponents with Igor Ivanoff eventually putting Davey Celtic away without much hassle. The Ivanoff Brothers defeated The Anglo-Scots Connection in 5:56 when Igor Ivanoff defeated Davey Celtic by pinfall. (E) After the match is finished and the ring is cleared, DJ Reason’s techno music hits as he comes out to a chorus of boos (not just because of the music, he’s also a pretty big heel here in 21CW). Reason gets into a rant about how he’s the only resident DJ in 21st Century Wrestling history and its about time that he got some bling around his waist. Reason challenges Joss Thompson to a match for the title tonight. Reason’s rant is interrupted as the music of the 21CW World Champion hits the speakers as Joss Thompson comes out, title belt draped over his shoulder, to a deafening chorus of blows. Thompson begins to run down Reason and his brand of “music” (which actually gets him a fair amount of face heat). Thompson questions why on earth he should consider giving Reason a shot at his title, especially considering Reason’s crimes against music. Before DJ Reason can respond, a third wrestler decided to interjects themselves into the debate as former 21CW World Champion, Pit Bull Brown, makes his way out to a mixed reception from the fans (although they don’t particularly like him he’s a better alternative to Thompson and DJ). Brown agrees with Thompson that DJ Reason doesn’t deserve a title shot before demanding one himself. Brown justifies himself by claiming that as the man that carried 21CW for so long on his own shoulders he deserves some recognition and what better way to do that then by winning the title on the first 21CW show of the year. All three men start squabbling over who deserves the title shot or as to whether in fact neither Reason or Brown deserve a shot at all. Over in the announce booth, Jeff Nova quickly tires of the childish behaviour and announces that seeing as they don’t have a main event yet, and seeing as neither DJ Reason nor Pit Bull Brown seem likely to back down, its gonna be a triple threat match with Joss Thompson’s title on the line. The fans pop for the announcement as Thompson looks visibly angry with the decision. (C-) MATCH 3 - SINGLES, NON-TITLE VS. Daniel Black Francis vs. Phillip Cooper Before the match can get underway, Rolling Johnny Stones’ music hits as he makes his way down to the announcers booth. Nova and Smith put over the fact that Stones will be facing Francis next week with Francis’ 21CW UK Title on the line. Nova warns Stones not to get involved in the match. Stones reassures Nova that he has no intention of getting involved and insists that he is only out here to scout his future opponent so that he can better prepare himself ahead of his title shot. As the match gets underway, Francis shows his young opponent a fair amount of respect early on. Cooper fails to reciprocate this respect which quickly lands him in trouble as Francis quickly locks in a Crossface with Cooper just managing to struggle to reach the bottom rope. The damage has clearly been done as Cooper continues to nurse his left arm throughout the match with Francis focusing his assaults on it. The match comes to a conclusion as Francis once again locks in the Crossface with Cooper quickly tapping out this time. Daniel Black Francis defeated Phillip Cooper in 12:01 by submission (D-) After the match, we are joined by Leo Price who comes out to a mixed reception. Price launches into a rant about how he is the greatest technician in 21CW and the fact that he’s been left off of the first card of 2007 is a kick in the face, not just to him but to the wrestling industry! Price continues to rave about how great he as 21CW owner Jeff Nova again vacates the announcers booth. Nova states that he really can’t stand the whining that seems to have dominated the show tonight. Nova states that if Price wants a match then he can have one. Nova comments on the irony of the match he’s making stating that considering how much of a headache Price has given him, its only fitting that Nova is booking him into a match against a man who is guaranteed to give Price a headache. When Price demands to know who his opponent is, Nova reveals that Price will be taking on his worst nightmare… (D) MATCH 4 - SINGLES VS. Leo Price vs. Nightmare Smith comments upon the poetic nature of Nova’s announcement as the match gets underway with Nova replying that his new years resolution was to be more elegant with his words. In the ring Price is clearly weary of Nightmare and for good reason. Price tries to use his speed advantage to wear down his opponent to no avail as Nightmare manages to grab a hold of him and plants him to the mat with a thunderous clothesline. Nightmare continues to have the upperhand with Price only getting in sporadic amounts of offence. Eventually Nightmare lifts Price up before hitting the Sweat Dreams (a powerbomb) and picks up the win. Nightmare defeated Leo Price in 6:45 by pinfall. (E+) Backstage we are shown footage of the fan favourite, Adam Matravers who is joined by his manager and girlfriend, Phoebe Plumridge. Plumridge comments that she has a good feeling about 2007 and states that she can only see gold on the horizon for her boyfriend. Matravers agrees with her and states that there is no better way to signal his intentions for 2007 than to beat his long term rival, Stevie Stoat. Plumridge smiles as the two embrace before heading out of camera shot, presumably to the ring. (D-) MATCH 5 - SINGLES w/VS. Adam Matravers w/ Phoebe Plumridge vs. Stevie Stoat Before the match gets underway, Smith and Nova remind the fans of Matravers and Stoat’s long running rivalry which dates back many years during their time spent in ROF. Nova brings up the fact that Stoat and Matravers were two of the first people he signed after taking over 21CW and states that he is very optimistic for both of these two and hopes that they can live up to the hype, starting tonight on the first show of 2007. In the ring Matravers and Stoat put on a great match up which is easily the show of the night up until this point. There are plenty of submissions and counters with Matravers also bringing an additional high risk, high flying offence into the match. Stoat tries to capitalise on this, playing possum a number of times which gave him a couple of openings. At the end of this very open match up, Matravers was able to pick up the pinfall victory after hitting the Mile High Moonsault, much to the crowd’s delight. Adam Matravers defeated Stevie Stoat in 14:36 by pinfall with a Mile High Moonsault. (C-) Matravers and Plumridge continue to milk the applause from the audience as they make their way to the back. Before they’re through the curtain, the music of Kathleen Lee hits the speakers as she strides out, ignoring Matravers and Plumridge on her way to the ring. Lee grabs a mike and addresses the fans. Lee states that woman of her calibre, with her abilities is rare with the world being full of blonde bimbos, just look at that piece of skirt on Matravers’ arm. Lee announces that she has a proposition that should make all of the roster stand up and pay attention – not in that way though as she is very clear to dismiss any sexual connotations. Lee reveals that she is currently in the market for a new client and is willing to listen to any potential client who want to secure her professional services – for the right price of course… (E+) After Lee has vacated the ring, Smith and Nova hype up the fact that the main event is next for the 21CW World Title. Smith and Nova are interrupted by the entrance music of the champ, Joss Thompson, who makes his way out to the ring. Thompson climbs into the ring and grabs a microphone straight away; he obviously has something he wants to get off of his chest before his match. Thompson proceeds to run down Jeff Nova for his mismanagement in making this match. Thompson states that a champion of his calibre should be left alone to decide who his opponents are and promises that one day in the future he will take care of Nova’s meddling. In the mean time however, Thompson wants to make sure that Brown and Reason are fully aware of what they’re getting themselves into. Thompson makes the point that earlier on in the night, when it was all talk, they were able to hold their own but once they step into the ring the rules change. Thompson tells them that its not to late to pull out of the match. He warns both Reason and Brown that the second they step into the ring with him, he will show them the same ruthlessness that he showed in winning the title in the first place and if that means putting either one or both on the injury list then so be it! (D) MATCH 6 - MAIN EVENT, TRIPLE THREAT FOR THE 21st CENTURY WORLD TITLE VS.VS. DJ Reason vs. Joss Thompson vs. Pit Bull Brown As the other two competitors made their way to the ring, Smith and Nova questioned the downright cheek of Thompson with Nova in particular threatening to use his power to make Thompson’s life a living misery if he doesn’t start showing some respect. Both Nova and Smith try to put over the fact that Brown is a former two time champion and DJ Reason is also a former two time champion through his time in MOSC as a way of demonstrating just what Thompson is up against here. They also point out that even though Thompson is the champion he doesn’t need to be pinned to lose the title. As the match gets under way, Thompson tries to convince Reason to team up with him to take out Brown. Maybe he shouldn’t have had his little pre-match rant as Reason and Brown use him as a punch bag with each man landing alternate blows on Thompson before Brown finally sent him crashing to the mat with a huge clothesline. As Brown milked the fans cheers, he turned his back on DJ Reason, allowing Reason to blindside him before he went back to work. The rest of the match followed this same pattern with Thompson and another wrestler locking up before the third wrestler were interfere and then wind up brawling with Thompson. The finish came with Thompson and Reason brawling. Brown came in and threw Thompson out of the ring and over the top rope. Brown and Reason brawled for a few minutes with Reason pulling the referee into the way of a Brown clothesline. As Brown showed a slight concern for the ref, Reason tried to take advantage only for Brown to counter into the Dog House Piledriver. With Reason out cold, Brown tried to revive the referee only to be clocked from behind by Thompson with his 21CW World Title. As the referee came to, Thompson covered the unconscious Brown and made the successful title defence.
OOC: Thoughts, comments or opinions? Anyone in particular you'd like to see pushed / brought in?
Firstly...I can't believe you jobbed Leo Price out to Nightmare! But then I guess this 21CW and not ROF! :D Who to push and bring in? I think Stones should probably get the push as he's reasonable entertainment-wise and solid in the ring, but his free-spiritedness is annoying. And perhaps look at bringing in Byron - he'd probably be a good character for the SE type fed you're looking for. I've never really seen him properly written for. And again, his performance stats are fairly decent. He could try to 'impress' Kathleen Lee as she is looking for a new client.

A solid start, and it's good to see a 21CW diary on here, so hopefully you'll keep it going. You say you want to get more of a sports entertainment feel, and that there was too much in-ring action. The problem I see it, and perhaps you've spotted it yourself already is that you are giving the matches way too much time. Here's what I would have ran each match for, taking in the fact that 21CW is a sports entertainment fed, and not based around 'work-rate'. Match 1: Luke Cool vs Red Dragon vs Rod 'The God' Todd vs Rolling Johnny Stones I think you could have gotten the same result, with just a regular 4-way and as a Ladder Match it felt reasonably meaningless. Ladder or not I would have run this match for around 10 minutes. Match 2: Anglo-Scotts Connection vs Ivanoff Brothers What you're going for here is a glorified squash, with the hapless Davey's getting in some token offence, the story they are telling here can be told in about 3 minutes Match 3: Daniel Black Francis vs Philip Cooper Way too much time given to a non title/regular show match. Would have ran this for about half the time, say around 7 minutes. Match 4: Leo Price vs Nightmare Not too many problems here, as you don't want Leo Price to look like a total jobber. May have still tweaked it down to 5 minutes. Match rating was bad, because Nightmare is pants, so really wouldn't matter how long you would have ran it for. Match 5: Adam Matravers vs Stevie Stoat Despite 21CW being a sports entertainment fed, these two are former ROF workers and can bring it in the ring. Still this was only a regular show meeting between the two and could have been trimmed down to around 10 minutes. Match 6: DJ Reason vs Joss Thompson vs Pitbull Brown No problems here, it's the main event and the World Title is on the line. 15 minutes is probably about the right length of time for a regular show main event.

Agree 100%. Product settings at the start had a match ration of 80% for a 2 hour show meant that I had to run longer matches. I've decreased the ratio down to 70% but I'm still having to run longer matches than I really want to. The next show should have a couple more signings with a couple more being phased in. I've run a couple of shows since writing this and its definately getting closer to having the 'sports entertainment feel'. Oh and as for Nightmare, nothing screams SE more than a giant lump being pushed to the moon over the more talented stars!

For sports entertainment feds, I usually set the match ratio to 60% That way I can use up to 50% of a show on angles for guys who are over, but suck or are just average in the ring. Then just use your best entertainment/overness guys in 6+ min angles. Combined with a good storyline, it should jump their overness fairly quickly. And for Nightmare, as he has lousy stamina and ring skills, The best way to use him is for short quick dominant squashes of the lower card and guys you are getting rid of, and try and build his overness with angles.

One thing I've done with Nightmare is tool him up with a bodyguard gimmick (it alwasy really suits him, the smallest rating I've seen him with on it is B) and put him with Joss Thompson. His performance skills improve every single time.

Steve Smith and Jeff Nova again welcome the fans to the show with a change in the line up coming as Smith and Nova are joined by Kathleen Lee. Lee announces that, despite making her services available last week, she still remains clientless. Lee comments that tonight she will be helping Nova and Smith on commentary duties in the hope of raising her profile and making people aware that her she is available to be hired. After Lee has finished, Nova announces that later tonight, in our main event, we will see Adam Matravers and Stevie Stoat go at it once again – this time with a title shot on the line! (D-) Upon hearing this announcement, the music of Joss Thompson hit the speakers as he made the way out to the ring, again to a chorus of boos. Thompson grabs a mike and directs a scathing promo at his two opponents from last week, DJ Reason and Pit Bull Brown. Thompson reminds the fans of the warning that he issued ahead of his match last week and tells the fans that if they doubted his conviction before the match, when he nailed Brown over the head with his title should have removed any doubt from their minds. Before Thompson can continue with his rant, Pit Bull Brown comes running down to the ring. Thompson stands his ground initially before eventually deciding to make a run for it as he disappears into the crowd. Brown gives chase, also venturing through the crowd after the fleeing Thompson as the camera cuts back to the announcers booth where Lee comments that if Thompson were her client, she would have hired security to prevent such an outcome. Lee questioned Nova as to what sort of insane logic had led him to thinking that signing these two was a good move. Nova replied by telling Lee to wait and see, reminding her of the fact that they are multiple time UCR tag team champions. Lee follows up her earlier mocking by stating that she always had a thing for Darth Vader and wishes the Elimination Agents the best of luck in dismantling these two sci-fi geeks. As the match got underway, it became obvious the Elimination Agents were going to show the same disdain for their opponents as Lee was doing in the commentary position. The Agents tried to make their size advantage tell but were quickly surprised by the speed and agility of their opponents. Add into the equation that The Force are a highly experienced team and have several flashy double team moves and it becomes understandable to see just how the newcomers won their opening match after they hit the Death Star Suplex (Toby Juan Kanobi holds the opponent in the suplex position whilst Jed High hits the cross body) on Genocide Agent and picked up the pinfall. Both Nova and Smith pointed out that he had already been a champion in 21CW with Lee countering that no one cares about the champions of belts that no longer exist. This was a pretty average match. Todd had much more offence then his opponent and the ending was never really in doubt as he eventually locked in a submission move to pick up the victory. Rod 'The God' Todd defeated Davey London in 5:42 by submission. (E+) We are taken to backstage where Pit Bull Brown is shown storming around in search of Joss Thompson. Brown’s search is interrupted when he bumps into DJ Reason. Reason and Brown square up to each other with Reason getting into Brown’s face, accusing him of costing him his chance at the title. Brown responds by reminding the resident 21CW DJ, that had it not been for Thompson and Brown pulling the referee into harms way then he would be the 21st Century World Champion. The two argue for several more minutes before Brown eventually challenges Reason to step into the junkyard and to see if he can hang in the ring with the big dog of 21st Century Wrestling. Reason replies by telling Brown that he’s gonna look forward to putting this puppy down, telling him the only dogs worth taking notice of around here are the ones that come to his club nights when he’s DJ’ing down Sarf! (D+) MATCH 3 - SINGLES VS. DJ Reason vs. Pit Bull Brown Before the match gets underway, Nova asks Lee if either of these two wrestlers would be deemed worthy of acquiring her services. Lee replies that if the price is right then she would consider both of these men, however they would both have to make some sacrifices if she were to give up her time on two “lost causes in the making.” In the ring, Brown and Reason didn’t show any sign wanting to take things slowly as once the match bell rang they both went straight for each other. There wasn’t a lot of high spots, counters or submissions, this was just two hard as nails wrestlers going at it. In the announcers booth Nova commented on the brawling nature of the match by stating that if you stuck these two in your back garden, let them go at each other with pitchforks and without an audience then they wouldn’t look out of place wrestling for MOSC. At the end of a very even brawling contest, eventually Brown was able to gain control for sufficient time to hit the Dog House Piledriver and pick up the hard earned victory over a man who can certainly claim that on a different occasion, the outcome of the match could have been very different. Pit Bull Brown defeated DJ Reason in 12:54 by pinfall with a Dog House Piledriver. (D) Before Pit Bull Brown can celebrate his victory, Joss Thompson comes running out from the back and nails Brown from behind with his title. Thompson clearly didn’t make as clean a contact as he hoped to with Brown groggily trying to get to his feet. Thompson simply allowed Brown to regain his footing before flooring him again with another title shot sending Brown onto dream street. After the attack, Thompson grabbed a mike and launched into another vicious tirade against Brown. Thompson claimed that everything that Brown got was coming to him in light of the arrogance he had shown in attempting to attack the champ earlier on tonight. Thompson stated that anyone that thought he was a soft touch, all talk and bite, had better ask the “big dog of 21st Century Wrestling” as to whether or not this is really the case. Thompson then issued a warning to both Adam Matravers and Stevie Stoat saying that regardless of which one wins the match, he’s offering them a way out. Don’t turn up to the main event, don’t compete in your match up and don’t risk the wrath of the greatest American in history to grace 21st Century Wrestling. Thompson then issued an ominous threat saying that if either of them compete in this farce of a number one contenders match then they will be putting themselves in harms way… (D+) On a lighter note, we are taken backstage to new 21st Century Wrestling interviewer, Melanie Florence who is standing with the newest 21st Century Wrestling superstar, Jacob Jett. Florence asks Jett what it feels like to be a newest member of the roster with Jett replying that he’s looking forward to making an impression on the fans. When asked about the comments Joss Thompson made in describing himself as “the greatest American in history to grace 21st Century Wrestling or at least according to himself”, Jett replied that if Thompson wanted to describe himself like that then that’s fine with him. Jett stated that all he’s interested in is coming to 21CW and putting on a five star exhibition of high flying wrestling. Florence finishes by asking him just how he got his nickname with Jett telling Florence to sit back, relax and watch his match up as he’ll demonstrate just why the fans in Canada call him “The Amazing” Jacob Jett… (E+) MATCH 4 - SINGLES VS. “The Amazing” Jacob Jett vs. Phillip Cooper In the announcers booth, both Smith and Nova hype up Jett ahead of the match, telling the fans all about the amazing fan base he’s supported by in Canada for his high flying, high risk offence. They tell the fans that this is a real coup for 21CW with even Lee admitting that based on his reputation overseas, he would be a prime candidate to become a client of hers. The youngster Phillip Cooper was selected to be Jett’s first opponent here in 21CW as it was hoped that he would bring an athleticism and all round game to match the high flying Jett. Unfortunately for Cooper (and the booking team – doh!) he was unable to live with Jett as Jett unloaded his high paced offence onto his opponent, with Cooper struggling keep in the match up. In the end, Jett hit Cooper with the Jett Take Off with the fans only mildly popping for him. Stones winks at the camera before turning to leave the room and head out to his match. He is interrupted by Luke Cool who blocks his exit. Stones tells Cool that he doesn’t have time for autographs as he’s got a match to get to so he can wow all of his fans and win the title. Cool replies by questioning who these fans are exactly with Stones responding by riling the crowd up, “ARE YOU ALL READY FOR THE ROCK STYLINGS OF THE ONE, THE ONLY, THE ROCK N ROLLING, ROLLING JOHNNY STONES?” With the fans in the arena popping like crazy for his signature catchphrase, “NOW THAT’S ROCK ‘N’ ROLL BABY!” Cool looks on with a disgusted look on his face as Stones brushes past him with a giant grin on his face. Cool looks away before kicking the fan over in anger. She isn’t alone as Steve Smith also indulges in a bit hero worship with Nova questioning if he’s should head out the back and let these two have a bit of alone time with Stones. The match kicks off with a couple of suplexes and reversals with the fans clearly getting behind Rolling Johnny Stones. This isn’t to say that the fans didn’t cheer the fun loving Francis but when you’re in the ring with rock royalty it isn’t gonna be an easy popularity contest to win. In the ring the action was pretty backward and forward with both men getting in an even amount of offence. Towards the end of the match, Luke Cool decided to make his way down to ringside, calling out Rolling Johnny Stones. Stones berated Cool, telling him to get lost and mind his own business. As Stones turned back to face his opponent, Francis went for the crossface out of nowhere with Stones quickly tapping out as Cool looked on smiling. Matravers and Plumridge talk about the upcoming match up with Plumridge again reiterating that she has a good feeling about 2007 saying she knows, she just knows in her heart of hearts that Adam is gonna win tonight and go on to win the 21st Century World Title. Adam comments that he realises that Stoat is one hell of an opponent, and one hell of an obstacle to overcome but, with the love of a beautiful woman, with the support of the fans and with the heart of a champion that beats under his skin, he knows that history will repeat itself and he will beat Stoat and go on to face Thompson for the title. Lee commented that maybe this would motivate Stoat to the put on an even better performance with Smith shooting back that maybe this will also prove to have a similar motivational effect on Matravers. Despite the fairly lacklustre matches so far tonight, the fans were hyped for this one as Matravers and Stoat picked up from where they left off, with both men bringing an all round game that few in 21CW can match. Whilst Matravers showed a greater athleticism and high flying ability, Stoat used his vast array of submission holds to try to ware down his opponent. As the match wore on, both men ended up taking the fight out of the ring. As the referee began to make the 10 count, Stoat tried to duck back into the ring only for Matravers to hit Stoat with a bull dog onto the guard rail, sending Matravers into the fans. As the referee reached the 8 count, Matravers tried to make a quick dash back into the ring only to be grabbed from behind by a fan in the crowd. The referee completes the 10 count as Matravers turns round to confront the fan. The fan nails Matravers over the head with the 21st Century World Title with the camera revealing that the fan was none other than Joss Thompson. Adam Matravers drew with Stevie Stoat in 14:50 following a double count out. During the match we also had Joss Thompson run in and attack Adam Matravers. (C-) As Joss Thompson grins, the crowd slowly begin to realise that without a winner to the match, there is officially no number one contender. Thompson climbs into the ring and heads up a turnbuckle, pointing to his title belt and mocking the unconscious Matravers who is being tended to by ringside officials. As Thompson’s music plays, it is cut off by the voice of Jeff Nova who has vacated the announcers booth and is now standing in the middle of the ring. Nova yells at Thompson that he’s tired of his little ego-trip and thinks its high time to put him back down into his place. Nova reveals that he’s got word from backstage that Pit Bull Brown has challenged him to a match next week for the title with the crowd popping to that news. Thompson climbs down off of the turnbuckle and yells at Nova that he can’t do that. Nova agrees with Thompson and adds that that would be unfair. Thompson flashes a grin which quickly disappears from his face as Nova reveals that in light of the outcome of the match tonight, next week we will see Joss Thompson take on both Stevie Stoat and Adam Matravers with the 21st Century World Title being placed on the line! Ah, the Force. How do I love the Force? Well, I not only hired them for ROF, not only made them multiple-time tag champs with ROF, but I actually hired another worker and gimmick-swapped him to join them. (Sergei Kalashnov as SK Walker.) Ring of Freakin' Fire. Admittedly, they were the SE end of the show, and their heel turn - with nightsticks painted like lightsabres and, on one celebrated night, a thrown bin lid with bits glued on to look like the Millennium Falcon - went down weirdly, but they were good for me and hopefully will be for you.

OOC: Thanks for the suggestions regarding Nightmare. An ally for Thompson is a posibility although I do have a very clear idea for what I want to do with the Thompson character so we'll have to see. Have to admit i'm a bit of a mark for The Force so they'll likely get a fair amount of air time (especially seeing as their UCR stay means that they're getting over based on those shows as well). Initially, Nova mistakes him for another member of the crew and asks him to Wrun one of the cables to, oh, its you, well this is an interesting surprise.” Thompson gets straight into Nova’s face, demanding to know if Nova seriously thinks that he’s just gonna let this injustice slide. When Nova questions which injustice, Thompson is refereeing to, a clearly angered Thompson responds by bringing up the fact that he’s gonna have to defend his 21st Century World Title in his second triple threat match of the month. When Nova shoots back to Thompson that he’s only got himself to blame after getting involved in last week’s number one contenders match, Thompson makes a quip about how a proper boss, like say, Highland Warrior over in MOSC, wouldn’t treat a champion like this. Thompson’s comeback only serves to harden the determination of Jeff Nova who warns Thompson to get out of his face so he can finish up sorting things out. Nova finishes by warning Thompson that any more of his complaining will lead to the match being turned into a hardcore rules match, just like his “proper boss” would have made. Smith also notes that although she did have some slightly more controversial views on The Force, he’s kinda missing not having Kathleen Lee on commentary with him. Nova and Smith banter like this for a minute or so whilst the action continues in the ring. In the ring, whilst The Force are never gonna be the kind of tag team brawlers to put away their opponents within a few minutes, they were hugely impressive once again and showed a greater degree of agility and teamwork which set them apart from their opponents. Smith and Nova both commented upon the impressiveness of Jett last week, with Smith wondering just what Nova had in store for “The Amazing” one with Nova being very coy, just saying that he had someone to test him. When the music of Nightmare hit, the entire crowd knew that Jett was in for a hard time. Credit to the lad, he got in a lot of offence in the earlier part of the match, with Nightmare struggling to regain a vertical base for much of the match. With Jett firmly on the front foot, he went for a move off of the top rope, only to be caught in mid-air by Nightmare. Nightmare locked in a Bearhug with Jett frantically struggling to escape. When Florence pushes him as to the identity of this “almighty one”, Todd gets defensive and starts refusing to answer Florence’s questions. Eventually Florence persuades Todd to admit that he’s never seen the “almighty one”, he’s never found another member of the “almighty one’s cult” and he’s doesn’t know exactly what the “almighty one” wants him to do. With Florence clearly enjoying winding up Todd, he grabbed the mike and delivered a promo about how he’s gonna beat Red Dragon, go on to win the 21CW UK Title off of Daniel Black Francis, and then dedicate his winning of the title to the “almighty one”. Nova announced that if Todd won this match, against the high flying daredevil Red Dragon, then he would grant Todd a shot at the 21CW UK Title. In the ring, Todd and Dragon put on a pretty decent high flying spectacle. Although neither are as flashy as the young Jett, they both put on a decent match. The match probably went on a few minutes too long as by the end the fans weren’t so into the match. This didn’t effect Todd as he eventually came out on top, hitting a tornado DDT off of the top rope and getting the pinfall victory Rod 'The God' Todd defeated Red Dragon in 7:36 by pinfall. (E+) Backstage, Melanie Florence is joined by the 21st Century World champion, Joss Thompson. As Thompson appears, he is greeted by a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Before Florence can ask Thompson a question, he grabs the mike and launches into a long speech about how it is completely unfair to be placed in yet another triple threat match tonight and how he is very seriously considering seeking legal advice ahead of his match. When Florence finally manages to regain control of the interview, she asks Thompson if he’s afraid that he might lose the title tonight. Thompson answers that of course he’s afraid, see the thing about this match is, he doesn’t have to be pinned to lose the title. Thompson claims that it’s a conspiracy as those two ROF buddies have struck an agreement to let one pin the other so that they can get the title off of him. Thompson finishes the interview by stating that he won’t let that happen and he is fully intent upon destroying the both of them and walking out of tonight with HIS title still around HIS waist. (C-) After the interview, the camera cuts to Steve Smith and Jeff Nova, with Nova questioning the cheek of Thompson. Smith goes on to change the subject by informing the crowd that the next match will see the ever popular (and oh, so dreamy according to Smith) Rolling Johnny Stones take on Luke Cool. Smith and Nova remind the fans of Cool’s interference in Stones’ UK title match last week with Nova informing the fans that Stones had been pestering him all week for this match up. (E+) MATCH 4 - SINGLES VS. Luke Cool vs. Rolling Johnny Stones Stones made his usual rock star entrance, complete with red carpet and cheering fans. Again Smith lauded his ability describing him as his favourite 21CW star. Nova backed up Smith, commenting that Stones had quickly established himself as a fan favourite in 21CW. Nova made every effort to distance himself from Smith’s man crush however, stating that even though you might not like him, Luke Cool, who made an entrance to a chorus of boos, was a fine athlete with a lot of potential to succeed here in 21CW. As the match got underway, Stones soaked up the adoration for the fans with Cool clearly getting upset that the fans, who up until a few months ago at least, had turned their backs on him so quickly. Stones and Cool locked up a couple of times and each time Stones came out on top and continued to try to milk the fans. Cool, clearly getting tired tricked Stones, pretending to go for a lock up in the ring before kicking Stones in the gut before flooring him with a clothesline. Cool looked to establish himself, much to the fans disappointment as they continued to jeer him throughout the match. Cool began to argue with the crowd which presented Stones with a chance to compose himself. As Cool went for the Cool Runnings, Stones was able to dodge out of the way before hitting the Rolling Neckbreaker and picking up the victory and a degree of revenge for last week’s interference. Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Luke Cool in 8:55 by pinfall after hitting the Rolling Neckbreaker. (E+) After the match, as Stones celebrates, his music is cut off and replaced by that of Kathleen Lee. Lee strides down to the ring, dressed in her usual business woman outfit, and grabs a mike before climbing into the ring. Lee addresses the fans, again reiterating that she is looking for a new client. She then turns to Rolling Johnny Stones and comments that she’s been impressed with his performances these past few weeks. Lee also comments that were Stones to secure her services, then mishaps like last week would certainly be avoided. Lee finishes by asking Stones if he would consider hiring her so she could provide her services to him. Upon hearing this Stones grabs a mike of his own. Stones comments that he’s always got time for his fans and he can understand why she wants to get with the Rock n Roll idol of 21CW. Stones comments that although she would make a fine groupie, he’s currently not in the market for one, although should one of his current “fans” decide to vacate their much envied position he would certainly consider her for the position. Lee is clearly both upset and angered with the insinuation that she’s a groupie and slaps Stones before storming out of the ring. Stones flashes a smile before finishing with… “NOW THAT’S ROCK N ROLL BABY!” (D) As Stones milks up the fans reaction in the ring, the camera cuts to backstage to Leo Price and Melanie Florence. Price is ranting to Florence that a wrestling technician of his pedigree should be missed off of yet another card. When Florence tries to point out the last time that Price shot his mouth off like this, his challenge was answered by Nightmare which in the end didn’t go so well for the “The Lion”, Price brushes this off and continues to rant how about how it’s a conspiracy. All of a sudden, Pit Bull Brown comes into shot. Brown comments that he too doesn’t have a match tonight, although he states its only a matter of time before he gets his hands on Joss Thompson. Brown reveals that Jeff Nova explicitly requested that Brown didn’t interfere in the match tonight and although the big dog of 21CW can deal with that, he wants someone to throw him a bone so he can work out some of his anger. When Price questions what this has to do with him, Brown shoots back that in case he hadn’t figured it out, Brown was challenging him to step into the junkyard and go one on one with the 21CW resident pit bull. Price tries to back out but when Brown questions the size of his balls, Price quickly relents and the match is set. (D) MATCH 5 - SINGLES VS. Leo Price vs. Pit Bull Brown As Price and Brown make their way to the ring, Nova confirms that he did request that the Pit Bull didn’t make his presence felt in the main event. Nova goes on to mention that if Brown upholds his end of the bargin then Nova will uphold his side, although he doesn’t go into details. As the match got underway, Brown quickly took the action to Price, backing him into the corner with a series of blows. Price tried to escape but the savage beating continued until Price ducked out of the ring. Brown tried to follow him only for Price to counter with a drop toe hold onto the steel steps. Price ducked back into the ring, hoping Brown would be counted out. Although Brown managed to beat the 10 count the damage had been done and Price was able to assert his authority on the match up, trying to ware down Brown. After sustaining a couple of minutes of submissions, Brown managed to battle back and eventually went for the Dog House Piledriver, which he successfully hit, and picked up the pinfall victory. Pit Bull Brown defeated Leo Price in 9:31 by pinfall with a Dog House Piledriver. (D) We cut backstage to see Melanie Florence waiting to interview Adam Matravers. As she waits outside of his locker-room, Stevie Stoat approaches Florence. Stoat demands to know why she hasn’t requested to interview him once since she arrived. Stoat reminds the fans that this isn’t just a singles match, it’s a triple threat and he’s more than willing to influence the outcome of the match. When Florence brings up the fact that in the past few weeks, he’s been unable to beat Adam Matravers, a clearly wound up, Stoat points out that although he didn’t beat Matravers last week, thanks to Thompson getting involved, he’d beaten his ass all throughout his ROF tenure. Florence tries to question just how Thompson’s involvement effected the fact that Stoat didn’t win with Stevie, simply replying that if she’d have even bothered watching she’d have known how he cost him the win. Stoat finished by saying it was high time that he claimed his first title win since arriving in 21CW and confidently predicted that tonight is the night that he’ll break his current losing streak against Matravers. Nova commented that Thompson were to lose the title tonight he’d struggle to shed a tear. In the ring, Stoat and Thompson quickly went to work, double teaming Matravers who showed from early on that he was determined to get his hands on the title, quickly clotheslining both of his opponents to give him the momentum. Matravers followed this up, quickly targeting Thompson, trying to get some retribution for last week’s intervention. With Thompson seemingly out of the picture for the time being, Stoat and Matravers picked up from their on going rivalry with Stoat this time showing an increased viciousness, getting the upper hand and inflicting a fair amount of damage to Matravers. The Stoat / Matravers battle was interrupted as Thompson again went on the offensive, hitting a double cross body to floor both of his opponents before he went to work over Matravers, with the fan favourite sustaining a prolonged period of Thompson offence. Stoat tried to get in on the act with Thompson turning his attentions to taking Stoat out so that he couldn’t make an impact on proceedings. Thompson’s offence included launching Stoat over the top rope, with Stoat landing awkwardly and the referee leaving the ring to check on Stoat. In the ring Matravers caught Thompson unaware and hit a STO on the champ before heading up the top rope and hitting the Mile High Moonsault. Matravers made the cover only to discover the referee was still outside of the ring, checking on Stoat. Matravers headed out of the ring and tried to get the referee to come back into the ring with the referee finally relenting. As the Matravers and the referee climbed back into the ring, a still groggy Thompson managed to recover enough to hit Matravers with a low blow which the referee never saw. Thompson then rolled Matravers up as the referee made the 3 count and completed his second successive title defence in a triple threat match. Nova began berating Thompson, telling him that he’s ruined another main event and has brought nothing but shame to his title belt. Before Nova, can continue, Thompson grabbed the mike and tried to put the boss into his place, pointing out that the belt currently belonged to him, before finishing by telling the boss that there’s not a damn thing he can do about it. Nova retrieved his microphone, and replied that maybe he was right, and maybe he wasn’t, either way we’ll find out next week when Thompson defends the title against the man standing behind him “oh, by the way, with the match over you can now do exactly what you like to the champ…” Upon hearing this, Thompson turned round to walk straight into a clothesline from Pit Bull Brown who proceeded to lift Thompson up before delivering the Dog House Piledriver. The show closed on the image of Jeff Nova and Pit Bull Brown smiling as a motionless Thompson lay at the feet of Brown. Just a quick update, I'm currently in the process of writing the next show up, I just need a bit of inspiration which I'm lacking at the moment so if anyone wants to see a bit of their input make a mark in the dynasty here's an opportunity. In a bit of spoiler, the next show will feature the first ever Rolling Johnny Stones chat show. I'm struggling for what to call this chat show so any ideas are very much appreciated.

Best I could come up with (given his rock star persona) is 'On Stage with Stones'. And to add a chat-show line to it, have someone introduce him as 'Heeeere's Johnny!'.

Not coming up with much either...here are my two cents: Sex'n Drugs (after the old adage: "Sex, Drugs & Rock'n Roll" Stones provides the Rock'n Roll part) Rolling the Dice (because that's all I get out of the word Rolling) Backstage with Rolling Johnny Stones (I'm grasping here...) And that's about it from me.

The match itself was a decent enough affair with both Dragon and Matravers busting out a couple of high flying manoeuvres. Stoat places the blame for his injury entirely on Matravers, glossing over the fact that it was Thompson that tossed him out of the ring. Kanobi informs the audience that unfortunately, Jed High couldn’t make it tonight due to a minor injury he sustained last week. Kanobi states that the force is strong with that one and anticipates a speedy recovery for his partner. Kanobi goes on to hype up the fact that he challenged Ivan Ivanoff to a match tonight, well aware of the fact that he doesn’t have his partner to back him up. In the ring, Ivanoff clearly has the strength and size advantage but neither member of The Force have ever backed down from a bigger opponent with Kanobi getting straight onto the offence. With Kanobi starting to build up momentum early on, at one point he strayed to close to the rope and was felled by Igor who maintained his presence outside of the ring throughout the match. This pattern of the Igor helping to distract Kanobi and the referee continued throughout the match. Lee is proud to announce that Reason has decided to hire her services and she will now be managing Reason’s interests. Lee also takes the opportunity to announce that Reason is also officially announcing his retirement from his DJ’ing career to focus on his in ring duties. Reason and Lee clearly hadn’t discussed this beforehand, with Reason announcing that he will continue to DJ at regular events. Lee and Reason argue for several minutes with Lee telling Reason that if he isn’t prepared to make some sacrifices then she isn’t prepared to manage him. Reason grabs the mike and announces that their deal is off and he is going to continue DJ’ing. Unfortunately for Reason and Lee, the assembled “journalists” have all disappeared and he makes this announcement to an empty room. Fortunately for Price, he’s up against one of the company jobbers here. Although London does have a bit of potential and the time spent in the ring with one of the top technicians in 21CW will have done him good, it didn’t help him pick up a victory as Price was able to lock in a submission hold with London tapping out giving Price the victory. Todd removes his hooded robe to reveal several wounds on back. Todd informs Melanie that after his defeat last week, in order to make up for his failing he punished himself by whipping himself (yes I did just watch the Da Vinci Code). Nova mentioned that this company takes care of their employees and would be booking Todd into some sort of counselling session if his mental state continued to deteriorate. In the ring, Francis showed a fair amount of apprehension going into the match and was wary of Todd. Todd started off the stronger, showing a determination not many in 21CW can match. Francis as the clever in ring performer he is, managed to battle back before focusing on the back of Todd. Whilst Todd might have been trying to show his devotion to his “almighty”, his self punishment had clearly taken its toll with Todd starting to struggle. In desperation Todd hit a DDT out of nowhere and got a long two count. As he tried to follow this up, Francis grabbed a hold of Todd’s left arm, hauled him to the ground, locking in the Crossface. Todd lasted for a large amount of time before eventually being forced to tap out and giving Francis the successful title defence. With the fans popping like crazy, Stones followed up with the second half of the catchpharase, NOW THAT’S ROCK N ROLL BABY!" Stones proceeded to milk the fans cheers for a few minutes before proceeding to introduce “The Amazing” Jacob Jett who came out to a decent reception. RJS: Take a seat Jacob. Man aren’t those fans just great but before we get into things, rock or roll? Jett: Dude, y’a know its always gonna be the roll. RJS: I like this kid already. Jacob, you’ve got this rep for being a high flying, risk taking, high octane youngster with a future as gold as my guitar in the back but I gotta ask you, why 21CW? Jett: Johnny, dude, when I got the call it was a no brainer. The folks in Britain are great, the music here, the atmosphere, heck London’s the best city in the world (ain’t it just) and when Jeff rang me up there wasn’t a moments hesitation before I said, dude, you’re on. RJS: Fantastic baby. Now, you’ve done OK since you’re debut, winning on you’re debut and then losing to Nightmare but y’a know, everyone wants to know what you hope to achieve in 21CW? Jett: Well I wouldn’t mind getting another crack at that man mountain but y’a know what, I just wanna take it match by match and see where that gets me. Back in Canada, the fans all say I’m a future world champ and y’a know, maybe I am, maybe I’m not but I’d like t’a think I’d get a crack at being a world champ some…
(What’s a wrestling chat show without an interruption? Not a very good one I'll tell you that...) Luke Cool’s music hit the speakers as he comes out with a c0cky look on his face. Cool gets in the ring and begins running down the show, questioning just why Stones deserves to have the honour of hosting his own chat show before questioning why Jett deserves the honour of being the first guest on it. Cool demands that Stones relinquish the mike so that Cool can complete the interview and rescue a modicum of respect for 21CW. Before Stones could reply, Jett got on the mike and began insulting Cool, calling him a jumped up ***(censored)*** before challenging him to a match. Cool tried to back out claiming that the set had to be dismantled before the match could begin. Jett grabbed the television set, tossed it over the top rope, picked up the table, tossed that over the top rope and, with the help of Stones, tossed the sofa over the top rope. Before the match began, Stones got on the mike for one last time… "NOW THAT’S ROCK N ROLL BABY!" (D-) MATCH 6 - SINGLES VS. “The Amazing” Jacob Jett vs. Luke Cool With Stones no longer needed for his chat show, he decided to take up the position in commentary for the match. Nova apologised for the interruption on Cool’s behalf whilst Smith simply gushed praise about what an honour it was to be sat alongside a rock icon. Throughout the match it should be noted that Stones was distinctly pro-Jett. With the ring cleared, the match bell rings as Jett and Cool lock up. An early move by Jett to floor Cool with a kick to the mouth clearly got to the arrogant heel as he tried to take his aggressions out on the high flyer. Despite Cool being an agile athlete himself, the athleticism of Jett ensured that he was able to keep a step ahead of Cool, winding up Cool no end. Cool eventually managed to get some control, whipping Jett to the turnbuckle before pounding away at him, choking Jett out whilst using the ropes. The referee pulled Cool away and began remonstrating with him regarding his bending of the ropes. Cool tried to intimidate the referee, only for Jett to capitalise, locking in the Jett Engine on an unsuspecting Cool with Cool having no option but to tap out. "The Amazing" Jacob Jett defeated Luke Cool in 7:56 by submission with a Jett Engine. (E+) As Jett celebrates in the ring, the footage cut to backstage as Melanie Florence tried to interview Pit Bull Brown ahead of his impending match up. Brown was going through the finishing touches of his pre-match warm up, telling Florence the only thing he could think about was handing Thompson the beating he deserved. Brown continued to say that tonight, it wasn’t about the gold, although becoming a three time champion would be a nice bonus, it was about teaching Thompson a lesson; a lesson that no matter how big he thought he was, he’ll never be bigger than 21CW. Brown finished by predicting that no matter how much Thompson tried to squirm and cheat, he will lose that title of his and that will happen tonight when he steps into the ring with the big dog of 21CW! (D) MATCH 7 – SINGLES FOR THE 21ST CENTURY WORLD TITLE VS. Joss Thompson vs. Pit Bull Brown As Thompson and Brown made their entrances, you could quite clearly tell that the fans in attendance were most definitely rooting for Brown with this support also spreading to the announcers’ table. The match got underway with a reluctant Thompson trying to lock up with Brown only to be tossed into the corner as the challenger unleashed a flurry of offensive moves. Thompson tried to duck out of the ring only for Brown to grab him by the throat and drag him back into the ring. Thompson had quiet clearly awoken a sleeping giant in the form of Pit Bull Brown. The match continued with Brown getting in a serious amount of offence. A desperate Thompson had to keep taking every opportunity to slow the match down. Thompson could only temporarily knock Brown out of his stride as each time Brown bounced back to continue with the onslaught with a vengeance. With Brown clearly on top and the crowd sensing the finish was near, Kathleen Lee decided to make an appearance, striding down to the ring. She climbed up the ring apron and proceeded to distract the referee as Thompson hit a low blow on the challenger before following up with the Clean Cutter. As the referee turned round, he found Thompson covering Brown and the ref proceeded to make the 3 count. Oh no he didn’t! Brown kicked out just before the ref’s hand came down for the third time to the shock and amazement of the fans. Lee and Thompson both stared in shock as Brown began to stir in the ring. Outside of the ring, Lee moved to grab a chair as Nova exited his announcing position and proceeded to head off Lee before she could hand the chair to Thompson. Nova and Lee argued as Thompson began remonstrating with Nova. The referee pulled Thompson away before trying to separate Lee and Nova outside of the ring. In the ring, Brown managed to compose himself enough to lay out Thompson before hoisting him up to set him up for the Dog House Piledriver. Thompson managed to escape just in time before going over to the corner and retrieving a pair of knuckle dusters that Lee had managed to slip into the ring unnoticed by everyone except Thompson. Thompson then clocked a groggy Brown over the head, knocking the challenger out before making the cover. Outside of the ring, Lee dropped the chair before directing the referee’s attention to the ring. Upon seeing the cover, the ref slid into the ring, made the 3 count with Thompson coming out of the match with his championship title intact. Joss Thompson defeated Pit Bull Brown in 17:31 by pinfall after the use of knuckle dusters and following interference from Kathleen Lee. Joss Thompson makes defence number 3 of his 21st Century World title. (C) SHOW RATING = D TV RATING = 0.09 NOTES:
Well if it wasn't obvious beforehand, Thompson is clearly the MVP of 21CW.

The chat show wasn't a resounding success and I tried to reflect that in the write up, trying to make it pretty generic to back up the weak rating. (that and I got a total mental block on what to write so I decided to make it pretty average intentionally in order to get the show up and decided that as the ratings get better I'll spend more time on them to reflect the increasing quality)

At this point I'm pretty hopeful for the Todd storyline. I've got a feeling he could well become a central character in the dynasty. At this point I'm trying to go down the more risque avenue and I figure what better way to do that than with a religious zealot self harming?

Lee decides to answer the call on her own, coming out to chorus of boos and catcalls. When Nova quizzes her on the location of Thompson, Lee responds by announcing that her client has decided to exercise his clause in his contract which means he doesn’t have to appear in the ring except under his own choosing. Upon hearing this, an irate and slightly confused Nova responds by deciding to quiz Lee on why she decided to get involved in last week’s title match. Lee answers by telling Nova that although legally she doesn’t have to answer Nova’s questioning, she’ll indulge his little power trip. Lee responds by declaring that as of this point in time, Lee will be representing Thompson’s interests, including preventing him from injury in any unsanctioned matches. When Nova responds that the match was sanctioned, Lee looks at him and sneers that from now on, she’ll be the one to decide that before choosing to make her exit with Nova looking on. Florence begins by asking The Ivanoffs just why they’ve decided to make the lives of The Force hell. The Ivanoffs respond by saying that they’ve decided to head off the next challengers for their titles before they’ve even had the chance to win them. The Ivanoffs continue to mention that they’re well aware of they’re success over in UCR but in 21CW it’s a different story and they decided to make it clear from the get go before the fans have a chance to get their hopes up about someone else taking their titles. When Florence asked Ivan about his defeat last week, she clearly touched a nerve with an angered Ivan pointing out that if she hadn’t noticed, by the end of last week, Toby was close to joining his brother on the injured list. Igor then points out that in they’re match up next, he’s gonna finish the job they started last week. (D-) MATCH 1 - SINGLES VS. Igor Ivanoff vs. Toby Juan Kanobi As Kanobi makes his way down to the ring, both Smith and Nova comment that he appears to be carrying an injury from last week’s beatdown. They then question his intelligence in asking for this match before Nova commends his bravery. Igor comes out with his tag title draped over his shoulder, accompanied all the way to the ring by his brother who proceeds to take up a position rind side. In the ring, despite clearly feeling the injury, Kanobi tries to go straight on the offence getting the upperhand. The early momentum and adrenaline carry Kanobi through the first few minutes before the injury finally caught up with him, allowing Igor to take control. With the momentum firmly behind the one half of the tag team champions, Toby Juan Kanobi showed all of the resilience (and maybe some of the force) to counter a move into the Kanobi Kutter which sent the crowd nuts. As Kanobi tried to slide over and make the cover, Ivan decided to run into the ring and attacked Kanobi, leading to the ref DQ’ing Igor. Toby Juan Kanobi defeated Igor Ivanoff in 6:32 when Igor Ivanoff was disqualified when Ivan Ivanoff ran in and attacked Toby Juan Kanobi. (D-) The match may have ended but Kanobi’s troubles have just begun as we get another two on one beatdown in a déjà vu from last week. The tag champs continue to beat on him as suddenly the star wars theme hits. Both of the Ivanoffs turn to face the ring entrance as Jed High climbs the turnbuckle behind both of the tag champs. Upon turning around, Jed High launches himself off of the turnbuckle, straight into both Ivan and Igor. Jed High then grabbed his tag team partner as they made their escape up the rampway as both of the Ivanoffs struggled to their feet, staring at the retreating Force. Nova informed the fans that he hadn’t heard or seen anything from Todd since the match with a hint of concern in his voice. Although this was a non-title match up, Francis brought his usual A game with the arrogant Cooper getting a lot of stick from the fans. Evenutally Francis locked in the Crossface with Cooper tapping out and giving Francis another impressive victory. Daniel Black Francis defeated Phillip Cooper in 6:56 by submission. (D-) After the match the titatron (yeah we got that big old baby back for another show) goes blank with the whole arena being plunged into darkness. Eventually the image of Rod ‘The God’ Todd. Todd is shown in a make shift dungeon (ok we couldn’t afford a real one but we do have the big screen so deal). Todd begins whittering on about how he failed “the almighty” again and begins to cut himself with a big old knife across his chest as a way of showing his disdain with himself for losing. With the crowd in a comfortable state of shock over the level of self harm that Todd is showing, Todd proceeds to challenge Francis to one final title match, putting his career on the line in order to get the shot. The camera fades as Todd continues to carve another line into his skin as the crowd is left in silence. The crowd didn’t really show much of a reaction to the two teams which was to be expected. With the fans not really into the match, we decided to make it a short one with The Elimination Agents using this as an opportunity to demolish their opponents with Genocide Agent getting the pinfall after 4 minutes. The Elimination Agents defeated The Party Animals in 4:01 when Genocide Agent defeated Rave by pinfall. (E-) The footage cut backstage to the locker room of Joss Thompson as he was joined by Kathleen Lee. Thompson and Lee mock Jeff Nova, calling him a weak owner and a disease trying to infect the current champion. Lee compliments Thompson on making the wise decision to hire her services, promising to not only keep his title reign intact but to turn him into a world renowned star. Lee then proceeds to inform Thompson that, in order to raise his international profile, she’s booked him into a match tonight. This news troubles Thompson with him demanding to know who it is exactly that he’ll be facing. Lee informs Thompson that tonight, he will be taking on “The Amazing” Jacob Jett in a non-title bout. Thompson is clearly not happy with the situation until Lee proceeds to try to ease his worries by reminding him that he ain’t the 21CW champion for nothing and besides, should things go wrong he’s always got her to solve any “problems that might arise”. When Thompson mentions that Brown might have retribution on his mind, Lee responds by telling Thompson not to worry about him, after his actions two weeks ago she’s taken care of this little problem… (D+) MATCH 4 - SINGLES VS. Nightmare vs. Red Dragon With Nightmare coming out, Nova and Smith put over how dominant he’s been recently in 21CW whilst also pointing out that the losing streak that Dragon’s been on wasn’t gonna make life any easier for the underdog. Dragon got in a bit of offence but it wasn’t long before Nightmare took control of the match before hitting the Sweat Dreams and picking up the pinfall as Nova and Smith questioned if anyone could overcome the monster. Nightmare defeated Red Dragon in 5:08 by pinfall. (E+) With the ring cleared, Pit Bull Brown’s music hits as he comes out looking rather pissed off it must be said. Brown gets into the ring and gets straight to the point by calling out Joss Thompson or Kathleen Lee, either one will do, so he can get some “retribution”. Brown’s challenge is interrupted by Jeff Nova making his way into the ring, mike in hand. Nova proceeds to try to calm down Brown to no avail, pleading with him to take it easy. Nova goes on to say that with Lee now representing Thompson, and with her legal expertise, they will have to both tread easy and be very careful in how they deal with them now. Brown pretends to go along with Nova’s suggestion before then returning to his demanding for Nova to sanction a match up between the two of them tonight. Nova quickly realises that he’s not going to be able to calm down Brown on his own so he decides to give him a match in order to work out his “anger management problems”. Nova announces that up next, Brown will take on DJ Reason. Before Nova is done though, he warns Brown not to go off and do something stupid like attacking Thompson during his match or there could well be consequences… (D+) MATCH 5 - SINGLES VS. DJ Reason vs. Pit Bull Brown As the match got underway, Smith praised Nova on booking this block buster between two of the bigger names in 21CW with Nova replying that if he can go some way to taming the Pit Bull tonight then maybe he’ll avoid any repercussions that would be inevitable should Brown attack Thompson or Lee. In the ring, Brown wasted little time getting down to business with the referee having to separate the two with the referee threatening to DQ Brown several times. Reason showed enough to suggest that he could pick up the win but with the momentum behind Brown recently, accompanying his recent focused attitude, in the end Brown lifted Reason up to deliver the Dog House Piledriver to pick up the win. After the match Brown clearly contemplated deciding to inflict further injury to Reason but in the end he decided to let Reason off, indicating that Nova’s anger management therapy might have done the trick. Florence asks Matravers about Stevie Stoat’s challenge to him after his match up last week. Matravers and Plumridge reply by announcing that they are more than happy to accept Stoat’s challenge with Matravers adding that whenever Stoat decides that he’s well enough to compete, Matravers will be ready to accept the challenge. Florence proceeds to ask Matravers about his match up tonight with Matravers replying that considering the amount that Price likes to talk about how he’s “the greatest technician in 21CW” isn’t it interesting that he seems to not really be able to back up his claims. Plumridge comments that maybe Price should focus on getting some wins to back up his claims before he decides to complain about being left off of events. Matravers comes out to a very strong reaction from the fans with Price getting a fair amount of heat. Evidently Price had been watching the action backstage as he tried to take the battle to Matravers with Matravers frustrating Price, angering his opponent. The action was pretty backwards and forwards with the two putting on a very solid technical bout. In the end Matravers managed to get he advantage for long enough to head up the turnbuckle before hitting the Mile High Moonsault and picking up an impressive win. Jett replied by saying that although it was a great surprise to be included in such a high profile match, he’s gonna take it in his stride and just go out there and do his thing. When Florence asked him about the threat that Kathleen Lee, Jett brushed the subject off by stating that if Lee chooses to try to cover for her client then so be it but he wasn’t gonna let that distraction put him off. Florence finished by wishing Jett all the best in his match up, adding that she hoped he would be victorious. Thompson made his way out to a tremendous amount of heat, accompanied by his new associate Kathleen Lee. Lee decided to make her presence felt in the announcers’ booth with her mentioning that she wasn’t happy with the amount of negativity that was being directed at her client from Steve Smith and Jeff Nova. Lee stated that she was gonna provide a insight not offered by these two clowns. Nova was offended, Smith was oblivious as he clearly was delighted to be accompanied by a visually more attractive commentator than his regular partner. Jett came in on fire with Thompson’s earlier worries clearly coming to light with him struggling to cope with the high paced, high flying Jett. Every time the youngster steps in the ring the fans get their money’s worth and tonight was no difference as Thompson had to step up his game to contend. Whilst Thompson’s status as the top American in 21CW history might not be disputed at the moment, it might not last too long as Jett clearly caused Thompson a lot of troubles, a fact that his manager didn’t fail to notice. Lee decided to head to ringside and attempted to distract Jett with her “assets”. Jett managed to brush this off, dodging an attempted blindsiding from Thompson to counter the move sending Thompson straight into Lee, knocking her down. As the referee checks on an apparently injured Lee, Jett went for the Jet Express only for Thompson to counter with a low blow before hitting the Clean Cutter. Thompson made the cover with Lee’s injury magically resolving itself allowing the referee to make the 3 count and give Thompson the win. Lee joined her client in the ring to celebrate with no signs of her injury returning. Nova exited his position and pleaded with Brown to back down to little effect as Brown simply brushed him off and charged the ring. Lee tried to stand up to Brown with Brown pushing her away before landing several heavy blows to Thompson. Thompson and Brown brawled for a few moments, with Brown heavily on top in the battle, before the ring was flooded by security who pulled the two apart. In a standard and obviously staged bit of the action, Brown managed to break free and dived straight at Thompson, knocking him to the ground. Eventually security was able to regain order with the show closing on the image of Thompson backing up the ring with security surrounding an enraged Brown. I was also impressed with how Jett did as they put on a better match than I was expecting. If we can hold onto Jett for the long haul then he should be a major player. Considering the agreements I've got with the big guns accross the pond hopefully he'll be sticking around for a while. At the moment we're trying to build people up with the hope being that the higher ratings will come in time before the average ratings pull us down.

F+? I know Cool isn't over, he isn't good on the mike and... yeah should have seen that coming. My reasoning is that I feel this is the best plaform to give Stones air time to get the fans interested in his character so I'll take the hit.

I'm still really high on the Todd storyline. I dig Todd's character and I don't think its all down to the Simpsons reference ;)

I've had similar sort of dilemma's to what you're having with the Rolling Stones Talk Show, as in putting in Angles you know will get a sucky rating, but in terms of getting the character(s) over in the diary, you feel that you need to run with it. I say as long as it's not bringing down the rest of your show too much, then keep it in. And I actually think that your write-up's are managing to capture that the segments are a bit lame :D On a different note I'm really digging what you're doing with the Rod 'The God' Todd character. I've always been a fan of his since TEW 2005 and was disappointed to see him changed to Jonathan Faust in the latest data-set (hopefully he'll get Rod 'The God' Back as an alter-ego in TEW 2008). However I've yet to see a really interesting take on the character in a diary, until now.

OOC: Lol to the chat show comment. Part of the inspiration behind choosing to do this dynasty is the fact I can give characters a story and persona that haven't really been touched upon elsewhere. Brown’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring with a huge grin on his face as the fans cheer. The expression on Nova’s face is in no way cheery as he quickly reveals that he isn’t out here to congratulate Brown on his actions last week, he’s out here to reprimand Brown (drawing a fair amount of heat from the fans). Nova reminds the fans and Brown that he explicitly forbid Brown from getting involved with Thompson and Lee last week but he couldn’t follow orders could he? Nova proceeds to reveal that in order to prevent the police from getting involved he’s had to negotiate a deal with Lee that explicitly prevents any sort of contact involving Brown and either Lee or Thompson. Failure to adhere to this deal could result in Brown’s release from the company and Lee perusing legal action regarding Brown’s assault from last week with the big screen replaying the incident that has caused so much trouble…
Lee tried to stand up to Brown with Brown pushing her away before landing several heavy blows to Thompson
Nova tells Brown that although Lee maybe be a heartless, evil b****, she’s still a woman and he won’t stand by and watch Brown manhandle a female in that way. Nova and Smith both complement the challengers for having the guts to compete with Nova informing the fans that the last he heard, Jed High wouldn’t have been able to compete for a few more weeks. The Ivanoffs certainly wanted to test out the physical condition of their opponents, trying to blitz them with a power based offence in the early stages, trying to isolate Jed High. After a few minutes of double teaming, much to both the fans and Toby Juan Kanobi’s frustrations, Jed High managed to battle away and tag in his partner. Kanobi came in on fire, cleaning house with an array of spinning wheel kicks and other various flashy moves. Jed High also got in on the action as the ref started to lose control. The Force combined to hit the Jedi Mind Trick (whisper in the wind esque) move on both opponents getting a lot of fans off of their feat. The Force went for the Death Star Suplex on Ivan only for Ivan to counter, hitting Toby Juan Kanobi with a DDT. As he turned round, Jed High who had remained on the turnbuckle in preparation for the double team move, launched himself off of the top rope hitting the Sky High ( a hurracarrana off of the top rope) before going for the cover and getting the victory for the new tag team champions. Stoat reminds the fans of the injury he suffered with the video of Stoat being tossed out of the ring by Joss Thompson being played whilst he talks over it. Stoat again blames Adam Matravers for the injury despite what the video footage may have shown. Stoat announces that he’s just been informed that he’ll be able to return in a few weeks and promises that when he returns he’ll be the force that he once was in ROF. Stoat finishes by promising that when he returns, both Adam Matravers and 21CW will finally get a glimpse of the real Stevie Stoat… (D) MATCH 2 - SINGLES VS. Leo Price vs. Trance As Price makes his way to the ring, Nova informs the fans that Price requested this match after the comments by Adam Matravers and his subsequent defeat last week. Nova comments that although Trance might not be the biggest name in 21CW, a win here is by no means guaranteed. Well actually it probably is. Filler match with Price winning without having to step up his game and breaking into a sweat. Leo Price defeated Trance in 3:38 by pinfall. (E+) MATCH 3 – SINGLES FOR THE UK TITLE VS. Daniel Black Francis vs. Rod ‘The God’ Todd As Todd makes his way down to the ring, both Nova and Smith put over the fact that in this match not only is Francis’ title on the line, Todd’s career is also on the line. When Todd removes his robe both of the announcers, the crowd and Francis are all shocked by the scars that now cover the body of Todd. An uncertain referee looked over to Nova for guidance before signalling for the ring bell and getting the match underway. Todd tried to seize advantage of Francis’ apprehension, getting a strong foothold on the match. Todd played up the heel tactics although the fans seemed uncomfortable booing him. Francis battled back and got the crowd behind him as the two put on a very solid match up. Todd once again managed to get the upperhand and had a huge amount of momentum behind him which made Francis’ sudden counter into a crossface a more impressive feat. Todd struggled for over two minutes to escape the crossface, enduring a massive amount of pain before he was finally forced to relent and tap out. Francis made a quick escape from the ring as a despondent Todd kneeled in the middle of the ring with the slow realisation that his career was now over clearly troubling him. The fans stood in silence as both Nova and Smith clearly showed concern as to what this defeat would do to his mental state. Daniel Black Francis defeated Rod 'The God' Todd in 8:55 by submission with a Crossface. Daniel Black Francis makes defence number 3 of his 21st Century United Kingdom title. (D) Rod 'The God' Todd eventually makes his way backstage where he is approached by Melanie Florence. Florence cautiously tries to ask him for his thoughts on the match and the fact that he has now been retired. Todd flies off the handle with the defeat clearly having taking its toll. Todd starts ranting about how he has once again failed “the almighty” and begins questioning the purpose of his life before deciding to make his exit through the stage door. The look of concern on Florence’s face is clear to see with the footage closing on the figure of Todd disappearing into the night, for the last time in his 21CW career. (D) MATCH 4 – SINGLES VS. Nightmare vs. Pit Bull Brown Back in the commentary position Nova and Smith refused to speculate as to what Todd might do with Nova very seriously contemplating vacating his position to check on him. The music of Nightmare quickly hits to change the pace as the giant trudges out to the ring. Smith now in charge of the announcing duties, due to a clearly disturbed Nova struggling with his emotions, reminds the fans that this match came about as a result of Nova looking to punish Brown for his actions last week. The fans certainly don’t show any such sign of losing faith in one of their favourites, giving Brown a huge reception. As the match got underway, Brown clearly wasn’t fazed by his monstrous opponent as he launched himself straight into the match with Nightmare being bulldozed into the corner in a change from the usual pattern. Nightmare managed to use his strength to turn the tables and the two switched position with Brown being backed into the corner as Nightmare reigned down blows on Brown. Brown then blocked a couple of blows before returning a few of his own, smashing his way out of the corner and putting Nightmare back onto the back foot. This was never gonna be pretty and eventually a clothesline from Nightmare sent both men crashing over the top rope. The two continued to brawl with Nightmare eventually flooring Brown with a head butt. Nightmare lifted Brown up and proceeded to powerslam him to the floor. Nightmare then lifted him up and charged towards the ring post, slamming Brown’s back straight against ring post. In the ring the referee completed a 10 count, with both wrestlers being counted out. The match might have been over but the carnage sure as hell wasn’t. Nightmare then backed away before proceeding to deliver another two similar shots to Brown before finally hitting the Sweat Dreams on Brown on the outside of the ring. Pit Bull Brown drew with Nightmare in 5:55 following a double count out. (D) Security officials proceed to rush to Pit Bull Brown as suddenly the music of Joss Thompson hits the speakers as he comes out to a lot of heat. Thompson decides to take a closer inspection of his title rival, pushing officials away as they clear the area. Nightmare continues to stand proudly looking down on his fallen victim. Thompson nudges Brown to check that he indeed out cold. When Brown fails to respond, a huge grin crosses Thompson’s face as he nods at Nightmare who proceeds to raise his arms in the air before letting out a deafening roar. (D-) As Thompson and Lee turn to leave, before they’ve made it up the rampway, Jeff Nova calls out to them both to hold on. Nova comments that although Brown might have been in the wrong last week, and he’s certainly suffered for it, Thompson and Lee were also in the wrong due to their actions in Thompson’s match up against Jacob Jett. Nova announces that tonight, Brown isn’t the only one that’s gonna be punished for their indiscretions. Nova finally reveals that in tonight’s main event Joss Thompson will defend his 21st Century World Title against Adam Matravers! Thompson and Lee are clearly furious with this announcement but Nova refuses to back down, telling them both to get lost as we’ve got a lot to get through before their match. Nova finishes by commenting that it certainly wouldn’t break his heart to see Thompson lose his title tonight. Smith commented that a win for either could see them picking up some much needed momentum. This was a bit of a clash of styles as Reason brought the power game he picked up in MOSC whilst Dragon went for the high flying approach. Both got in a fair amount of offence but despite the reputation of both of these wrestlers, the fans never really got into it. In the end Reason hit the Edge of Reason and picked up the victory in what is probably the definition of a filler match. DJ Reason defeated Red Dragon in 6:42 by pinfall with an Edge Of Reason. (D-) After the match, Smith and Nova inform the fans that due to Luke Cool’s actions last week, Rolling Johnny Stones won’t be able to host the Rock n Stones show so instead tonight we’re gonna have… Luke Cool’s Cool Couch
Cool comes out to a fair amount of heel heat. The truly amazing… Yasujiro! Yasujiro comes out to some incredibly cheesey music (I’m thinking S Club 7’s ‘Reach for the Stars’). The fans reaction is slightly muted due to the music but he still gets a good reception of those who are familiar with his work over in Japan… Cool: Thank you for coming. Yasujiro: この屑音楽は何であるか。 それはなぜ停止しないか。 だれであるか。 Cool: No, no, no, you're too kind. Cool: Folks, what a huge honour it is to have a truly international superstar on my show unlike that joke Stones who could only get a some Canadian half wit on his show… Jett: Hey! Cool: Shut up! Nova tried to impress upon the fans about Yasujiro’s reputation back in Japan, commenting that they were in for a treat. Smith also built up the reputation of Jett and commented that although the results hadn’t been too favourable, he certainly had impressed in his high flying antics. Well this was a let down. Thank you very much a lack of chemistry. Jett has B’s, Yasujiro has A’s for his high flying ability. You’d have fought, even with Jett’s lack of overness, Yas… never mind. It was decent but they didn’t click which hampered the match up – I’m over it now. Yasujiro gets his debut win after hitting a 460 splash to a fairly disinterested set of fans – joy! Thompson demands to know what plan Lee’s come up with to get out of this match with Lee admitting that she’s struggling and she’s got people working on it. Thompson launches into a tirade against Nova, accusing him of favouritism amongst other things before warning Lee that in order for their arrangement to continue she better come up with something pretty quick. As Matravers came out, accompanied by his girlfriend and manager Phoebe Plumridge, he got a very strong reception with Nova going as far to wish Matravers the best of luck in winning the title. As the match got underway, Thompson was clearly nervous but him and Matravers put on a very solid start to a match up before Kathleen Lee came down to the ring calling for the referee to stop the match. Lee climbed into the ring and announced that she had found a clause in his contract which meant Nova needed to provide 24 hours notice before booking her client into a title match. Lee ordered the referee to stop the match and declare the match a draw. Adam Matravers drew with Joss Thompson in 4:31 when the referee stopped the match. Nova demanded to see this evidence. Lee obliged, pointing out the exact clause in his contract. Nova relented, accepting that Lee was right. As Lee and Thompson both turned to leave, Nova interrupted them stating, that although Lee may be right about not having to defend the title tonight, it didn’t stop him for booking the match so the match will continue, albeit a non-title match. By the way, good luck Adam! Matravers and Thompson continued to put on another very strong match up as the fans were firmly behind Matravers. Outside of the ring Plumridge and Lee continued to wind each other up before eventually they ended up fighting outside of the ring. As the referee tried to separate them both outside of the ring, Matravers gained control before heading up the top rope and delivering the Mile High Moonsault. As Matravers was about to cover Thompson and pick up a huge win, Stevie Stoat jumped the security railings, with his arm still in a sling and a chair in his free hand, and slid into the ring. Stoat proceeded to hit Matravers over the head with the chair, knocking him out cold, before rolling Thompson on top of his opponent and making his escape unseen by the referee. The referee finally turned his attention back to the ring and made the 3 count as Thompson got away with another tainted victory. OOC: Thanks for the postive feedback and The Force love in. Gotta say with the ratings that I'm getting I don't think the UK scene was designed for a SE company but I'm having a blast so long may it continue. The referee finally turned his attention back to the ring and made the 3 count as Thompson got away with another tainted victory.
“Well, we already know that Thompson’s in a title match later tonight so I don’t need to worry about him but tonight, tonight I’m gonna get to grips with Stevie Stoat so regardless of whether or not you’re injured get your worthless ass out here right now!” Stoat comes out, again with his arm in a sling. Nova again reminds the fans of the interference by Stoat which cost Matravers the title last week. Nova asks Stoat for an explanation. When Stoat begins to respond Nova interrupts him and informs Stoat that injury or no injury, tonight he’s gonna go one on one with Adam Matravers. When Stoat proceeds to protest that his injury should prevent him from having to fight the battle. Nova ignores Stoat’s protestations, insisting that the match has already been booked. Nova wishes Stoat luck cause seeing the condition he’s in tonight, Nova doesn’t fancy his chances much… (D) MATCH 1 - SINGLES VS. “The Amazing” Jacob Jett vs. Red Dragon Back on the commentary table, Nova who’s taken his place alongside Smith builds this match up as a battle of two of the better high fliers in the business. Smith touched upon Dragon’s losing streak with Nova commenting that there would be no better way than to break that streak than by beating one of the brightest prospects in 21CW. A pretty decent affair with the crowd getting their share of decent enough spots. A lack of overness stopped the crowd from getting more into the match but one or two of the spots did get the fans off of their feet. In the end Jett hit the Jet Take Off to get the pinfall victory and prolong Dragon’s losing streak. "The Amazing" Jacob Jett defeated Red Dragon in 6:50 by pinfall with a Jett Take Off. (E+) Backstage Adam Matravers and Phoebe Plumridge are interviewed by Melanie Florence. When Florence asks Matravers for his thoughts on tonight’s match, when Plumridge tries to answer for her boyfriend, Matravers shuts her down before launching into a long rant against Stoat. Matravers reminds the fans about Stoat’s complaining, about all his loses, about all the little video montages over him griping over the injury that HE DID NOT INFLICT. Yet still, Stoat felt it necessary to get himself involved so tonight’s the night when Stoat gets his comeuppance and the Show Stealer Adam Matravers gets his chance to shine. Oh Stoat, you think you got problems with your arm now huh? Tonight we’re gonna take it to a whole new level… (D-) MATCH 2 - SINGLES VS. Adam Matravers vs. Stevie Stoat As Stoat made his way down to the ring he had his arm heavily taped, all the time trying to play off of the sympathy of the audience. The trick almost work with Smith questioning whether or not Nova was wise to grant this match with Smith commentary partner and owner remaining steadfast in his decision. As the match got underway Matravers showed no sign of giving Stoat any sort of dispensation, going straight to work on him, in particular looking to focus on his injured arm. Throughout the match, Stoat heavily favoured the arm and was unable to build any sort of prolonged offence. At about the five minute mark, Matravers went for a belly to belly with Stoat landing awkwardly. Stoat began screaming out in agony, rolling around in agony. Matravers was a bit taken aback by the image of Stoat in so much pain with the referee trying to check on Stoat. Eventually the referee decided that enough was enough and decided to stop the match ruling the match a draw much to the fans dismay. Adam Matravers drew with Stevie Stoat in 6:25 when the referee lost control and stopped the match. (D+) With the match over, Steve Stoat continues to demonstrate that he is clearly in a severe amount of discomfort. As the referee tries to tend to him, Matravers who has been joined in the ring by Phoebe Plumridge looked on with a slight concern before making his way to the back. Stoat continued to scream in agony as the referee signalled to the back for the medical staff to come to Stoat attention. The medics looked over Stoat before trying to help him to the back with half the fans in silence and the rest applauding him as he struggled to the back. (D) As Smith and Nova show a slight concern for Stoat (bare in mind Nova had booked him into the match fully aware of the injury), they went on to reveal that although Rolling Johnny Stones is present tonight, Nova has decided to commission another episode of… Luke Cool’s Cool Couch!
Cool makes his way out, accompanied by Yasujiro who plainly doesn’t really understand what’s going on… Cool: Now, now, now, what a show we had last week and this week, despite the fact that that half wit wannabe Stones is here, we’re back and we’re all improved as tonight, we’re gonna have the greatest technical worker in wrestling today, ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Leo Price… Leo Price makes his way down to a chorus of boos as a lot of the fans decide to go for their toilet break (well, far better now than during our main event huh?) In the ring, Yasujiro quickly upped the pace of the evenings proceedings, unloading a lot of high flying offence, some of the moves which left the fans speechless. Stones tried to keep up with the Japanese high flier but that was easier said than done with Yasujiro again impressing the fans. At the end of a pretty frantic match up, Yasujiro managed to get Stones down for long enough to hit the 460 degree splash and pick up the victory. Nova admits he was sceptical but was happy with the way things turned out. Nova then commented that he didn’t want to book this rematch but The Ivanoffs deserved to have a shot at winning their titles back. With the ring bell sounding, The Ivanoffs tried to put the match to bed early on with both members of The Force ducking clotheslines before bouncing off the ropes to knock both of their opponents down with drop kicks. The match continued with this pattern as The Ivanoffs got frustrated and The Force took advantage, using The Ivanoffs frustration against them. In the end, The Force managed to hit the Death Star Suplex on Ivan Ivanoff to pick up the successful title defence. Don’t you think its about time we did? Backstage we see Joss Thompson and Kathleen Lee arriving at the arena together. Lee is remonstrating with Thompson, berating him for being so stupid as to break the physical contact clause. Lee asks if it was too hard to remember not to touch him provoking an angry reaction from her client. Thompson shoots back that she isn’t employed to nag him, she was employed to get him out of scrapes like this. Thompson questions what it is exactly that she’s doing in order to sort things out. When Lee responds by stating that there isn’t much she can do, commenting that Nova’s been very careful to make sure he doesn’t slip up, an exasperated Thompson responds that he’s starting to question whether or not he really needs to continue with her terms of employment seeing as she’s not particularly effective in her current role before he storms off with Lee trailing after him. Smith comments that Nighmare’s impressive streak might be coming to end seeing as this week he’s competing in a handicap match. Maybe this wasn’t as much of a squash as it could have been had they been on their own but Nightmare still dominated from start to finish. I won’t bore you with details but after hitting the Sweat Dreams on Trance, Nightmare proceeded to lock in a bare hug on Rave with Rave quickly tapping out as the pressure became too much. Nova commented that it would be interesting to see if Price could finally back up his claims to being “the greatest technical wrestler in 21CW”. Francis and Price put on a strong showing with the laid back Francis irritating the egomaniacal Price. Whilst Price’s in ring abilities aren’t in doubt, Francis himself showed that he was no slouch, matching Price with the two both trading a couple of submission holds with the match being full of counters. In the end though the ever dangerous Francis managed to pull out a Crossface out of nowhere. Once you’re locked in this hold there aren’t many who can escape and Price proved to be just another victim who was forced to tap out, giving Francis another impressive title victory. Daniel Black Francis defeated Leo Price in 7:44 by submission with a Crossface. Daniel Black Francis makes defence number 4 of his 21st Century United Kingdom title. (D-) After the match, Rod ‘The God’ Todd hit the ring with his whip, beating down Francis with repeated lashes to Francis’ back. The crowd booed as the former 21CW superstar continued to inflict pain before grabbing a mike and calling on Jeff Nova to get in the ring. The boss cooperated, climbing into the ring, mike in hand. Nova demanded to know what the meaning of this attack was. Nova reminded Todd that the stipulation attached to last week’s match up was that if Todd lost, which he did, then he would retire from competition in 21CW. Nova also reminds Todd that he failed to win the match and as a result, is fired from 21CW. Todd grabs the mike and begs Nova to grant him one last title shot. When Nova replies that he will not be sanctioning another match between the two and calls for security, an even more desperate Todd pleads to be granted one last shot. Todd, who is clearly on the point of mental breakdown, even goes as far as to put his life on the line in order to secure the match up as the security swarms the room, removing the desperate Todd from the arena as he shouts out that he will not be able to appease “the almighty” unless he is granted one last match up… (D) Backstage, Melanie Florence catches up with the challenger for Joss Thompson's title tonight, Pit Bull Brown. Florence asks Brown what his thoughts are about tonight’s match and how he sees it going. Brown responds by stating that tonight, Thompson will get what’s been coming to him for the past month and a half – payback! Brown comments on the irony of the slightest nudge from Thompson will have opened up a world of pain, adding that the amount of punishment he’s about to dish out is in no way proportional to the nudge that allowed this match to take place. Brown finishes by advising Florence to keep her eyes on the match up… she might see something that she, along with the rest of 21CW, might just enjoy. (D+) Elsewhere, backstage Joss Thompson is shown walking to the ring, interestingly enough without his manager. Thompson continues to walk to the ring as he passes the camera and goes through the curtain. In the background you can just about make out a shadowy figure who was following Thompson before pulling away to avoid being captured by the camera… (D) MATCH 7 – SINGLES FOR THE 21st CENTURY WORLD TITLE VS. Joss Thompson vs. Pit Bull Brown Both Nova and Smith speculated as to whether Kathleen Lee was going to make an appearance during the match up with Nova being very pro-Brown throughout the battle. In the ring, Thompson and Brown put on another above average match up with the rage from Brown clearly having been building for a long time. Repeatedly the referee had to break the two up as Brown kept coming close to getting himself DQ’ed due to failing to release submission holds, closed fists etc. The fired up Brown caused Thompson to also step up his game as he showed a resilience that hadn’t been seen before, kicking out of several near falls before building some offence of himself. Thompson battled back to a position of control as he then looked to use his advantage to position himself for another strong title defence. Again the momentum swung backwards to Brown as he countered a Thompson move before hitting a Lou Thesz Press and unloading back on Thompson. Brown continued to build offence with it seemingly only a matter of time before Brown would hit the Dog House Piledriver. Struggling, Thompson went for the only option available to him, a controversial low blow leading to the referee having no choice but to disqualify him giving Brown the victory. The problem for Brown? The title can’t switch hands on a DQ and Thompson was able to hold onto his title belt, much to the fans’ disappointment and anger. High ratings in SE feds is all about overness. Nova is your biggest star when it comes to overness, so whore him out with angles over 6 minute involving the people you want to push. That will help get their momentum and overness to rise and help your show ratings as well.

OOC: I'm over my ratings depression. To be honest at the end of the day I'm not doing this to get to national in under a year. Brown gets straight down to business, calling Joss Thompson out to the ring with the champ surprisingly answering the call although he does it without Lee in tow. When Brown questions as to the reason for his manager’s absence, Thompson replies that him and his manager have had a “disagreement” and he’s decided to give her a “bit of time off”. Thompson then taunts Brown asking him how his not so golden balls are this week. Brown tells Thompson to quit the cheap shots as he might just learn something. Brown continues to reveal that in light of Thompson’s actions last week, Jeff Nova contacted Brown and asked him how he felt it would be right to punish the champ. Thompson’s still got a smug grin on his face and doesn’t appear entirely fazed by Brown’s revelations. Brown then reveals that rather than booking him into another title defence, Brown managed to convince Nova to give him “the power to exact revenge tonight”. When Thompson questions what this “power” entails, Brown reveals that Nova has given him the power to book Thompson into any match up that he might decide to. Thompson’s smug grin quickly disappears as Brown reveals that he’s booked him into a match up for right now… “oh its ok Joss, you’ll like this match. Nova accepted the praise graciously, reflecting upon the strong crowd reaction to Francis and also commenting what a nice change it was not to have endure Kathleen Lee’s presence tonight. In the ring, Thompson was weary of his opponent, in particular he had to ensure that he didn’t fall victim to the deadly crossface that Francis has been utilising recently. In a nice change of pace, Thompson actually didn’t use his standard underhanded tactics, fighting a surprisingly clean match up. The two continued to put on a very solid match up with Thompson managing to gain enough momentum to hit the Clean Cutter, picking up perhaps the first clean victory of his career. Joss Thompson defeated Daniel Black Francis in 12:05 by pinfall with a Clean Cutter. (C-) After the match up, as Thompson and Francis clear the ring we are played a video of Jeff Nova… During the interview, Nova addresses the recent antics of Rod ‘The God’ Todd, reminding the fans of his disturbing behaviour over the past few weeks, mentioning the injuries he had inflicted upon himself, before going on to bring up Todd’s assault on Daniel Black Francis last week and his desperate pleads to be granted another title shot. Nova reveals in the video that after careful consideration, and after consulting several medical professionals, Rod ‘The God’ Todd is of no mental state to be allowed to compete within a wrestling match. Nova comments that he places the utmost importance on the health of his employees and has decided to grant Todd’s title request. Nova mentions that although Todd did put his career on the line when he lost his last match, that situation is still open to re-consideration with Nova adding that he is prepared to re-instate Todd onto the roster and, having spoken with Francis, they have agreed to Todd’s conditional return to wrestling. Nova isn’t done though and reveals the terms of this conditional return. Term 1, Todd’s return is dependent upon him not attacking the champion and his stay will be terminated should we have any repeats of last week’s incident. Term 2, Todd will have to complete an in depth medical and psychological session and will have to complete any medication / counselling sessions that are recommended. Term 3, Todd will have to undertake regular follow up assessments throughout his stay. Whilst Nova hasn’t heard from Todd since he was escorted out of the building, Nova reiterates in the video that he is willing to talk should Todd wish to get his life and career back onto the “straight and narrow”. Nova finishes by stating that both him and 21CW wish Todd all the best and wish him a speedy recovery from the demons that are plaguing him. Smith agreed with Nova that ever since The Force’s arrival in 21CW, they have been hugely impressive and have established themselves as the top tag team in 21CW. As the match got underway the high flying duo started the match off in their usual high octane style, using various quick tags to keep themselves fresh against the more powerful Elimination Agents. Although this wasn’t the first time that these two teams had faced off against each other (in fact The Force debuted in 21CW with a win against The Elimination Agents) the Agents appeared totally incapable of keeping up with the fast paced nature of the bout. The Agents tried to use their own quick tags to counteract The Force only for a slight miscommunication to lead to Genocide Agent being drop kicked over the top rope by before Toby Juan Kanobi launched himself over the top rope and onto Genocide Agent. In the ring, Jed High headed up the turnbuckle before hitting the Sky High on Suicide Agent to pick up the victory for the tag team champs. The Force defeated The Elimination Agents in 7:55 when Jed High defeated Suicide Agent by pinfall with a Sky High. The Force make defence number 2 of their 21st Century Tag Team titles. (D-) After the match up, we are taken straight to Joss Thompson’s locker room as he appears to be getting ready to leave after his successful match up against Daniel Black Francis earlier on tonight. Thompson’s attempt to leave is interrupted by Pit Bull Brown as he barges into the room and demands to know where Thompson thinks he’s going. When Thompson replies that he’s had his match up, Brown retorts that that wasn’t the last piece of actions that the champion was gonna be seeing tonight. Brown goes on to reveal that up next, Joss Thompson will be facing the man he tried to get all friendly with a couple of weeks ago… none other the immovable object Nightmare! Thompson tries to get out of the match, insisting that there must be a clause in his contract somewhere preventing him from competing. Thompson’s pleas fall on deaf ears as Brown comments that Thompson’s ramblings about contracts just don’t carry the same threat as his manager’s, finishing by commenting that maybe he should consider trying to patch up his differences with her before he goes running his mouth again. (D+) MATCH 3 - SINGLES VS. Joss Thompson vs. Nightmare As Thompson made his way to the ring, the look of fear on his face was clear to everyone to see. Nova was clearly very impressed with Brown’s decision to book this match, commenting that if Brown kept up this kind of job then maybe he’d be able to take a couple of nights off. As Thompson stood in the ring, the music of Nightmare hit the speakers with the fans getting out of their seats and cheering. Although Nightmare is a heel the fans were clearly relishing the prospect of seeing the champ getting a beating. Unfortunately Nightmare failed to appear as the fans died down. As Nightmare’s music cut off, the fans and commentators weren’t sure what was going on. Thompson questioned the referee on where his opponent was with the referee clearly unaware as to the reason for Nightmare’s failure to appear. After a few moments Nightmare’s music hit again as once again the fans popped for his imminent arrival. Again Nightmare failed to appear with his entrance music cutting off with no sign of Thompson’s opponent. Thompson had a few words with the referee as Nova and Smith continued to signal their surprise at Nightmare’s failure to appear. In the ring the referee began to administer a 10 count with a smile creeping over Thompson’s face as the fans booed. The ref completed the 10 count and signalled for the ring bell with Thompson being declare the winner by count out as he burst out laughing, mocking the audience drawing a tremendous amount of heat. Joss Thompson defeated Nightmare in 0:10 by count out. (D-) With the match over, Pit Bull Brown’s music hit the speakers as he stormed down to the ring, clearly unhappy with Thompson’s easy victory. Brown demanded an explanation from Thompson with the champ revealing that he’d expected Brown to pull some sort of stunt like this and had come to an arrangement with Nightmare. Thompson continuned to reveal that after his last match he had gone to Nightmare and offered him, well lets just say a financial incentive, not to appear should you try to book them both into a match. Thompson was very smug with himself, commending himself on a job well done, also questioning whether or not Lee would have come up with such an ingenious scheme. Brown clearly wasn’t happy but he still managed to remain composed, revealing that he still had an ace to play. Brown built up this ace with a couple of cryptic message involving “getting a face back from the past” and “finding a man that enjoyed a brawl, be it in a bar, in the street or even in a Scottish wrestling ring” before finally revealing that later tonight, in the main event, Joss Thompson will go one on one with… “Former 21CW star and current MOSC wrecking machine, returning after several months for a one off special appearance, ladies and gentlemen, give it up for… DANNY PATTERSON!” The former 21CW icon came out to a tremendous reception from the fans as he pointed at a shocked Thompson and nodded his head, milking the fans applause. (D+) MATCH 4 – TAG TEAM VS. The Anglo-Scotts Connection vs. The Ivanoffs As the two teams made their way to the ring, Nova and Smith spent a lot of time reflecting on the previous announcement with Nova revealing that he had sanctioned Brown’s decision to bring in Danny Patterson on a short term basis before he would return back to MOSC. In terms of the two tag teams, Smith reminded the fans that up until recently The Ivanoffs had been tag team champions and although their run had come to an end, they were still likely to be a very tough opponents for The Anglo-Scotts. Any guesses on who wins this match? I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t The Ivanoffs (joking) Yes it was a squash. Davey London and Davey Celtic are still getting a lot of stick off of the fans and if they don’t get their skills up to scratch soon their times in 21CW could well come to a quick end. Anyway, the Ivanoffs demolished their opponents with Igor bringing an end to the proceedings by pinning Davey Celtic after five and a half minutes of domination. The Ivanoff Brothers defeated The Anglo-Scots Connection in 5:24 when Igor Ivanoff defeated Davey Celtic by pinfall. (E) After the match up, The Ivanoffs grabbed the mikes and in the worst possible Russian accents imaginable, proceeded to taunt The Force, calling them a bad movie rip off (the blasphemers!) The Ivanoffs began talking about how Mother Russia had suffered a terrible blow when they lost their tag team titles and their defeat last week had turned their proud country into a laughing stock. The Ivanoffs proceed to announce that on next weeks show, as there clearly aren’t any other tag teams worthy of a title shot, they will face The Force once again and this time they will win the titles and go on to rule 21CW with the iron fist that this promotion needs (E) Ladies and gentlemen, its time for… Luke Cool’s Cool Couch!
Again Luke Cool makes his way out to a very negative reception as the fans clearly would rather a return to the Rock n Stones Show. Again Cool is accompanied to the ring by Yasujiro who again takes up a position in the corner. Cool: Folks, I’ve got a very sad announcement to make, it seems that our imbecile of an owner, Jeff “I’ve never taken any sort of roids in my life” Nova has decided to cancel the greatest show in history and replace it with some sub-standard blurb about rock and / or roll. Now far from me to question the steroid fuelled one, but as I’m sure you’re all aware this is an absolute travesty. The fans cheers for the recommencement of Rolling Johnny Stones’ show indicate that maybe Cool’s views aren’t shared by the majority. Cool is clearly upset with the crowd’s reaction and remains silent until the cheering has died down. Cool: Regardless of what you fellow imbeciles think, I’m not gonna let that put a downer on the proceedings so let me introduce to you… Before Cool can finish, he is interrupted by Yasujiro… Yasujiro: Oiの馬鹿、撃たれる私が約束されたこと私は私のタイトルがほしいと思う! Cool: No, its ok, I don’t want any noodles… I’m hosting my show… host-ing my show… ok? Anyway folks, give it up for the greatest technical wrestler of all time… Leo Price! The fans boo Price as he makes his way out to the ring… Price: It’s a pleasure to be the final guest on this show by the way… Cool: Well it’s a pleasure and an honour to have the greatest techni… Before Cool can finish, the music of Rolling Johnny Stones hit, sending the crowd cheering (well some people cheered). Cool: And what may I question is the meaning of this little interruption? RJS: Well, seeing as this is thankfully the last episode of the “Cool Couch” – very un-inspired choice by the way baby Cool: And I suppose the Rock n Stones Show is a masterpiece huh? RJS: You got any better suggestions? Cool: Oh I dunno, maybe something more original than, eugh Rock n Stones. You know Stick used to be an old term for microphone yeah? Well how about Sticks and Stones or something… RJS: Hmmmm, that’s actually quite err, good. I might just have to… Cool: Fascinating, now can I help you? I do have a guest tonight who happens to be the greatest… RJS: Technical wrestler of all time? Yeah I heard about that last week. Actually that’s part of the reason I’m out here. Now whilst its fun to gatecrash you’re show, and kinda rock n roll, I’m actually out here to talk to you’re little guest… Price: I’m all ears… (sarcastically) baby... RJS: Well see Leo, I’ve heard this spiel about you being such a great technician and you know what I don’t get it. What does being the greatest technician actually involve? I mean, you don’t seem to have that great a record, you didn’t win you’re little title match last week so I’ve gotta question who cares? I mean, when I claim to be the most entertaining man in sports entertainment… Cool: Debatable… After hearing Cool’s under the breath insult, Stones stopped and flashed a smile at the camera and then at the audience, getting a fair amount of cheers RJS: Indeed baby, anyway, when I claim to be the most entertaining man in sports entertainment, that means that the fans come to see me, the fans come to cheer me and in return I guarantee to give all my fans out there a night to remember… and maybe a morning too if they’re that good. Price: You wanna know what it means to be the greatest technical wrestler of all time? It means that I can beat the hell out of you anytime and I tell you what, how about you me and you go one on one right now so you can find out just what it means. RJS: Exactly what I was counting on. NOW THAT’S COOL BA…. No, no, no, just doesn’t have a ring to it. Lets try this again then shall we… NOW THAT’S ROCK N ROLL BABY!
(E+) MATCH 5 - SINGLES VS. Leo Price vs. Rolling Johnny Stones As the ring is cleared of the cool couch for the last time ever, Smith was clearly very excited at the prospect of the return of the Stones’ show. Nova admits to being a closet fan of the rock n roll icon, adding that he couldn’t stand much more of Luke Cool. In the ring Price quickly trying to take the match to his opponent. Price locked up with Stones a couple of times with Stones surprising his opponent countering a couple of moves much to Price’s shock. Stones’ array of counters and submission holds really surprised his opponent as Price was clearly upstaged by this rock star opponent with Stones eventually managing to pick up a victory after hitting a Rolling Neckbreaker to pick up the win much to the fans enjoyment. Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Leo Price in 9:52 by pinfall with a Rolling Neckbreaker. (D-) Backstage Adam Matravers and Phoebe Plumridge are interviewed by Melanie Florence. Matravers is clearly still a bit shaken after Stevie Stoat’s injury last week and appears distracted throughout the interview. When Florence tries to ask Matravers about the injury and if he’d heard any news, Plumridge answered for him, commenting that both she and her boyfriend wished Stoat a speedy recovery. Plumridge added that although Adam had been looking forward to facing Stevie, he had never wanted to put him out of action. Plumridge nudged her boyfriend with Matravers agreeing with her before staring off into the distance as Florence proceeded to close the interview, also revealing that Matravers will be taking on Jacob Jett up next. (D-) MATCH 6 - SINGLES VS. Adam Matravers vs. “The Amazing” Jacob Jett In the commentary position Smith and Nova wondered out loud as to whether or not Matravers would be able to focus on this match. Nova proceeded to reveal that although he hadn’t spoken to Stoat’s doctor, Stevie himself had contacted him to reveal that the injury was very serious and he could be missing for several weeks. Nova wished Stoat well with Smith also chiming in his support for Stoat. With the match pitting up two of the bigger stars in 21CW, Jett was onto the attack first, knocking the ever popular Matravers back with him struggling to focus on the action. It took Matravers’ manager and girlfriend to get his head back focused onto the task in hand. Jett continued to impress with Matravers slowly starting to raise his game as the match wore on with both men hitting a couple of high spots with just a few “holy sh*t” chants creeping in (guess we’ll have to edit those out for the tv broadcast). With the fans split on who to cheer in this match up it was quite funny as it became almost football game esque with certain pockets of fans clearly showing their backing for one the fan favourite Matravers with others supporting the underdog Jett. The finish came due to Jett’s inexperience as he went for one high flying move too many, with Matravers dodging it before going for his own high risk offence, this time landing the Mile High Moonsault and picking up the victory. Adam Matravers defeated "The Amazing" Jacob Jett in 13:50 by pinfall with a Mile High Moonsault. (D) We are back in Joss Thompson’s locker room as Jeff Nova storms in, demanding to know what the big emergency is. Joss replies by trying to get in Nova’s face and demanding to be withdrawn from tonight’s match, commenting that there is no way he should be forced to compete against non-21CW wrestlers. An angered Nova pushes Thompson away and refuses to change the match. Thompson threatens Nova with legal action following the push with Nova retorting that maybe he should consult his manag… oh yeah, you didn’t think you needed her did you? Nova finishes by commenting that tonight’s turning out even better than he expected, stating that he couldn’t wait to see Danny Patterson beat the hell out of him. Thompson issued a warning that Nova would regret this with Nova getting in his face, threatening to floor him with a punch. A flinching Thompson is then taunted by Nova who observes that the champ seems to lose a lot of his confidence when his manger isn’t around… (C) As Nova heads back to his announcers position, the camera follows him. In the background there’s a bit of a blur following Nova. As Nova disappears out of shot, the blur is revealed to be a hooded man as this man steps out of the shadows. The man’s face is obscured by the black robe that the man is wearing. The hooded man stands motionless for a few seconds before disappearing off back into the shadows as the cameras cut back to the ring. (C) MATCH 7 - SINGLES VS. Danny Patterson vs. Joss Thompson Nova didn’t appear to ruffled by his stalker with him commenting that the robe suggested that was Rod ‘The God’ Todd following him. Nova reiterated his intention to open a dialogue with Todd before turning to focus on the match in hand. As Thompson made his way to ringside, Smith and Nova eagerly awaited the return of a 21CW legend, even though Nova commented that it was likely to be a long time before we saw Patterson back in 21CW. As Patterson’s trade mark song, Come to Me by Puff Daddy (seriously cool entrance music by the way) the crowd went wild for the returning Patterson. Patterson emerged from behind the curtain with the fans popping like crazy as Patterson stormed down to the ring before unloading a series of punches onto the champion. With Thompson reeling he headed outside the ring for sanctuary only to be followed by Patterson who refused to let up. Thompson tried to dive back in the ring just before the referee completed a 10 count only for Patterson to also accompany him into the ring. The match continued with Patterson as Thompson brawling with Thompson struggling to get back into swing. Patterson continued with his brawling style, whipping Thompson into the corner. As Patterson tried to follow this up, charging straight at Thompson, the champ pulled the referee into the path of the on rushing Patterson, with the ref ending up in the middle of a Thompson / Patterson sandwich. The referee’s incapacity didn’t stop Patterson as the two continued brawling with the match again heading outside of the ring. Without a referee and a fear of count out, the situation firmly favoured Patterson’s hardcore style, with Patterson making good use of the surrounding ring area. After a couple more minutes brawling, with Patterson in control, he slid Thompson back into the ring before introducing a steel chair to the proceedings. Patterson slid the chair into the ring before climbing back in. Unfortunately for the returning hero, Thompson had to wherewithal to quickly hit the Clean Cutter onto an unsuspecting Patterson, straight onto the steel chair. Thompson pushed the chair out of the ring before covering Patterson. A now conscious referee, (coincidence that he only revived after the chair shot?) made the 3 count awarding Thompson a hard earned, and certainly fortuitous, victory. Joss Thompson defeated Danny Patterson in 10:07 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. (D+) As Thompson gradually started to recover from his battle, the music of Pit Bull Brown again hit. Brown actually congratulated Thompson on his hard fought battle, complimenting him on managing to survive the night without his manager to help him through. Brown then commented that with the show running out of time he was going to book one final match up… not for tonight though. “You see, with the whole 24 hour clause, I couldn’t make you defend you’re title tonight so I had to hold tight but with my reign of control nearly at an end, I better get this out of the way now. In my penultimate act in control, I’m gonna book a title match for next week between me and Joss Thompson!” The fans pop for Brown announcement as a despairing Thompson looks on… “And now you might be wondering what my final act is gonna be huh? Joss, it ain’t gonna be any old match up. Me and you are gonna go one on one with you’re title being on the line and the match stipulations are gonna be that our match is gonna be… INSIDE A STEAL DOME! See you next week B****!” (D+) SHOW RATING = D+ TV RATING = 0.9 NOTES
This steel dome match is gonna be cool and probably something never seen before. Details on the match will be revealed next week.

Talking about next week, let me guarantee that there's gonna be a couple of shocks and at least one angle that could well get us pulled off of tv.

Danny's appearance is intended to be a one off although I might bring him back a couple of months down the line so I'm gonna keep him under contract. I'm a Patterson mark so not having him involved would pain me. Then again if I bring him straight back after the cull that Nova instigated then that's kinda going against the backstory of 21CW so he won't be used too regularly if ever again.
Really looking forward to next week's show. Really hope I do it justice.
