Foxcutter Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 A simple suggestion, really. More cosmetic than anything else. But what about colour-coding the Skill Track Progress screen so that any advancement in skill, from the previous month to the current one, would be recorded in a green typeface while any decrease in talent would be displayed with red text? It would make trying to follow the developmental progress of your workers a little easier on the eye and it would also be especially handy if, say, wondering whether you should send or recall wrestlers from development or not (too much white means very little progress has been made from the previous months; a lot of green means that the wrestler has been busting his hump and a lot of significant improvement has been made). Alternatively, if a lot of red is showing, the worker has relapsed in some way or is on the downside of his career and probably should be released or forced to retire. Just a thought. Foxcutter.
Rob4590 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Not specifically referring to that screen, but different colours have been requested in the last 2 versions as well for the spreadsheet scrreens, and IIRC, Adam has said that it isnt possible to do that in the language that the game is written.
Foxcutter Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 Thanks, Rob. I was not aware. In retrospect, it seems too simple of a suggestion for nobody to have mentioned it or thought of it before. Anyhow, many thanks for the info. It's much appreciated. Foxcutter
Acidburned Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Why not have it like football manager with an arrow next to the grade up for increase in stat down for decrease in stat. Surely that would be possible.

rodzillahotrod Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 be nice it really is hard for me to read this...but i do where glass's....
Derek B Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 From what I remember of previous explanations... the reason this isn't already in is because the data we see in the stat trackers is basically a text dump. The number values behind the letters don't exist in the data we see, they are literally just the letter grades put into the sheet. So the game doesn't read the previous month to see if there has been a change, it simply enters the new set of data each month... which I think is why we don't have anything like this feature in the game. At least that's what I remember from a loooong time back and I try not to rely on my memory too much. :)

So to implement a feature such as this I think Adam will have to insert additional code to make the game detect a change in grades since the last month.

That's exactly what he said.
