Stereo with turntable

I'm not really into hi-fi stuff in any big way, but I'm looking for a new hi-fi setup for my parents after their old one gave up the ghost. I'm based in the UK, and ideally need to buy from a shop - preferably a chain so that returns/repairs can be done fairly easily. The setup would need a record player, CD player, radio and tape deck - which I appreciate is a bit more difficult to find nowadays. It doesn't need to be performance gear - just something suitable to a front room where it'll get used once or twice a month, more or less. So, does anyone have any recommendations they can share with me?

The most important thing to remember is that you don't want this thing to have its own speakers; ideally, it should have cables that can run to separate speakers. I know this because I got one of these for my birthday after buying the Radiohead In Rainbows discbox with the vinyl and all, only to find that my MP3s sounded better than the tinny built-in speakers.
