I never did this before, but this is the THIRD diary I've done in like 5 months, and I am going to settle with this one. Hopefully things pan out correctly and the game doesn't do anything silly this time. Shingo & Hulk retain, upcoming SEM card by Dean - 20 Mar 08 In quite the surprising turn of events, Shingo Takagi and BxB Hulk retained their GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles today, in what was said to be a great match against KENTA and Taiji Ishimori. KENTA and Ishimori pledged to bring the titles back to NOAH, but came up short. Looks like we may see another defense from Shingo and Hulk on the 4/27 Budokan show. Korakuen & Budokan full cards by Dean - 21 Mar 08 The full cards for the tour beginning/ending shows were released today. Korakuen sees the return of both Atsushi Aoki's and Shuhei Taniguchi's Trial Series, taking on Takashi Sugiura and KENTA, respectively. And as expected, the Budokan show is headlined by the Global Tag League, and the possibility of a final tie-breaker match if two teams are tied for points by the end of the night. Beyond the league, the Budokan sees some amazing Jr. action, as the DG combo of Shingo Takagi and BxB Hulk make the V2 defense of their GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles against the team of Bryan Danielson and Atsushi Aoki. Aoki and Danielson have a history, as Danielson made Aoki repeatedly tap to the Cattle Mutilation submission on his 2007 tour. The two will try to co-exist here as they aim for GHC gold. In another GHC Jr. match, Jr. Heavyweight Champion Yoshinobu Kanemaru makes his V3 defense against Taiji Ishimori. NOAH, 3/29/08 (NTV/G+ LIVE) Tokyo Korakuen Hall 1. 3/29 Korakuen Results! by Dean - 29 Mar 08 The "GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2008" kicked off today, headlined by two great league matches, one of which was a rematch of one of last year's big GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Title matches. Last year, on 4/1/07, Takeshi Rikioh and Jun Akiyama beat Takeshi Morishima and Muhammed Yone for the straps when Rikioh used the Muso on Yone. Today, history repeated itself as once again Rikioh used the Muso on Yone, this time to score 2 pts. for his team in the league. Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima impressed many in their return to NOAH, and Kensuke truly dominated the match, pinning D'Lo Brown with a lariat in under 20 minutes. And as expected, both rookies lost their Trial Series matches, although Taniguchi took KENTA for a 17 minute thrill ride with more than one nearfall. News + Notes by Dean - 31 Mar 08 Both Bryan Danielson and D'Lo Brown are currently injured and may not be on upcoming cards. D'Lo Brown will only be participating in his Global Tag League matches, while Danielson may be given a week or so to rest and recover. Bobby Fish, who was scheduled to be on the current tour but had some visa issues, will be replacing Danielson in the upcoming cards. Danielson made it clear that he would be ready to go by 4/27, and will be able to challenge for the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles as planned. Furthermore, WWE recently signed three ROH talents that were regular NOAH participants. Davey Richards, Rocky Romero and Chris Hero have all been signed by WWE. NOAH has already been scouting new foreigner replacements, with wrestlers from ROH and potentially other American promotions being considered. Rumor has it that NOAH has been looking at contacting the California-based Pro-Wrestling Guerrilla, due to their much closer location in California and untapped talent pool.
