Guest Ransik
I've been playing this game online for a few weeks now... and I think with the help of GDS, this thing could make quite a pretty penny. The site and game that I play is full of bugs... never moderated... and general chaos because the people who created the game just want the advertising dollars and don't care that the game is never functioning properly and that people abuse it. I'm obviously not gonna say what the idea is on here, but I KNOW with the fanbase GDS has, and with advertising money, this thing could take off, I've run tons of online searches and yet have been able to find another site of it's kind. If someone with authority in GDS could contact me via messenger, I would appreciate it! Guest Ransik
Dunno if the link will work if you don't have Facebook or not... http://apps.facebook.com/humangifts/ The idea is great... the revenue they get is incerdible... but the system they put together is full of easy to fix bugs that even I could take care of only knowing basic HTML... but they won't fix it seeing as how they're getting rich off it... reminds me of a certain wrestling company... Anywhoo... it's a very addicting game and a great idea, but the people that made it just don't care enough to make it work to it's fullest potential. Michael Wayne
facebook is for children. And note to Ransik, bashing the company and advertising are two easy ways to get yourself banned here.
If someone with authority in GDS could contact me via messenger, I would appreciate it! Yahoo: aj_deroehn AIM: From Dudleyville MSN: ransik_starr@hotmail.com
why should they? Guest Ransik
Facebook is for college kids. Bashing what company... I don't get where you got that from? I said the people who developed Owned refuse to maintain it because they get their ad revenue and aren't looking to fix bugs with their system. Might wanna read the whole thing instead of skimming it. I don't own or operate the ETWA site... I don't think it's even open anymore. Only thing I maintain is the Youtube videos I have. Akki
facebook is for children.
Right, THAT's why so many more adults and mature people use it than MySpace.
And note to Ransik, bashing the company and advertising are two easy ways to get yourself banned here.
He's not advertising anything of his own, and I don't see who he is bashing except the people that own that Facebook plugin. Wait... Are you talking about the comment that he made about "a certain wrestling company"? Dude, if you've read half of Ransik's posts, you would know that he was talking about WWE. Hell, it doesn't even take knowing him to figure that out. And GDS isn't even a wrestling company, if you haven't noticed. It's a software company.
really? maybe you could do something about that ETWA website...
WTF is ETWA?
Guest Ransik
Yeah it was a slight stab at poor product with high pricing with no care to who likes it as long as the long-term fans enjoy it... like upping PPV costs without producing many reasons to pay the amount for it knowing the hardcore fans will still buy it. Or how THQ purposely makes bug filled WWE games knowing they'll still sell and not caring just because they know they'll make money either way since there's been no alternative good wrestling games for years. The ETWA is an Indy company I wrestle for.

Guest Ransik
Well, 06, 07 and 08 have the exact same bugs in 'em... I just don't see them as being interested in fixing them. *shrugs* :p
Rathen4
Yeah but that doesn't mean they MEANT to put the bugs there - they just can't be arsed to fix it. Call them lazy developers rather than intentional damage causing.

Blame the sheep dumb enough to buy it. Can't be any dumber than indy marks who buy RoH tickets while talking about workrate in a fake environment with fake titles and fake outcomes... All the moves are worked. You of all people would know this. And yet there's "smart-marks" out there who try to treat wrestling like a "real sport". Forgive the WWE fans for pretty much acknowledging wrestling isn't "real" and actually being able to enjoy it for what it is. WWE only half asses to those who spend their time bickering. Self
Wait, what's THQ and ETWA got to do with Grey Dog..?
Ransik always tends to bring them up :) As for the Facebook app, it's... weird. Good-weird in terms of Facebook (which I'm on and occasionally use) I'm not seeing the value/potential to GDS though.
Guest Ransik
Well with 400,000 registered users and tons of advertising being paid for it, I just thought it'd be a nice venture for GDS to work on. I even saw a Wrestlemania advertisement in there the other day, so you know they're making money off it.
Adam Ryland
It seems like everything has to become an argument on this forum recently  Topic closed, if one of the other GDS developers wants to reply they can.
